I shall ensure that our opponent in said battle (not the one coming up, but the one after it) is strong enough to force us to fight it together as a unit so everyone is in the same boat. But Era will be the one who takes the fall during that battle leaving you guys free to fight over who gets the killing blow and how to do it cause I ain't helping you once Era goes down! Lol!

Alrighty... I don't like asking for help, but I am afraid I must this time as I need some inspiration to get me going. (All the busyness has killed my mind and it requires a jumpstart)


First off.... between now and Inecros, how many fights are there?


Secondly, I need to make a post to get Fae to the present. Now, even though I have a cool idea for the planet, I have little time to showcase it so I may have to skip through much of it. Teddy may be joining me, too. This means we are running into the problem of time restraints, as itmay drag things outwhen everyone else is ready to continue. One option, would be just skipping through most of that weak with only vague mentions, wouldn't do the idea justice but it would get us to the present quickly, since everything is moving pretty fast.


Thirdly, I need some way to get Fae to catch up, else she will end up just being narratively useless. Special training or something. (Era is having a second near death so I want to avoid that route if possible)


Any advice or suggestions would be very helpful.

We have a total of three major battles before Inecros, and Inecros himself will be our 4th major battle. Between now and then, we'll have a few small skirmishes to provide more opportunity for power differences and shifts in the balance of the group's dynamic of "who's the vanguard and who's the clean-up crew".


I have a couple of suggestions for you off the top of my head to get you through:


1) Fae encounters the plant people, but what she has to go through is left up to our imagination and tucked away in Fae's "I'd rather forget that experience" part of her brain. Basically she faces the plant thingie/planet, fade to black, and then we come to Fae's trip in her ship towards the others with her still mentally reeling from the horrors she had to go through to get off that planet. This idea gives Fae a bit of a traumatic event to further damage her mentally and thus end up as yet another icicle in her forehead among the many others she'll accumulate given your thirst for torturing your characters. Lol.


2) Another option would be to change the plant planet idea just slightly. Make half the planet plant-life and the other half something of a mixture of nature and wasteland where a civilization used to be before the plant planet thing wiped it out. This gives Fae a bit of a place of sanctuary while still keeping the plant planet thing a threat, and the destroyed civilization all the more reason for her to get off as quickly as possible.


That's all I could think of at the moment. If you need more to work with we can figure it out, but for now I have dinner to eat so I'll be back online in about an hour or two.


By the way, have you heard from Soph? Is he all right?

Well take your time. I've had a fair number of composition requests come in so I'm going to be quite busy burying myself in my man-cave while I work on the music. It's interesting stuff too. I'm having trouble containing myself as I search for inspiration to begin working on them.

I decided to push us forward a bit. What I have on the table now should make posting easier. Don't worry about flashbacks or whatnot, especially if putting one together is too time consuming or energy draining. No sense going that route if it's too much.


If you want a catch up post, then go for it, but I would recommend we streamline this section as much as possible for the time being to help get everyone back in the groove.

If she endured a serious barrage of attacks over the course of the week, then yes, her body will be highly toughened and ready to take on opponents at or even mildly above her level. But emphasis on "mildly" above, but that's still extra defense that most of the others lack.

Well the body is a fickle thing. To strengthen itself in a meaningful way, it has to take a pounding. Anything that makes a dramatic physical or (for this RP) metaphysical impact on it will do. So if you can get creative about what she takes a whooping from, she'll develop just fine.
