Futuristic Nova One - OOC

Overall its great I have just one for you:


1. I'm capping your species age to a few thousand, it can't be hundreds of thousands of years, I that would require a level of deference from the other players that you haven't earned.


More of an explanation than a correction: 


 The independent initiation of conflict is illegal in the space controlled by the intergalactic council. If your species tried to independently invade a planet whose member species enslaved each other it would be a breach of council treaty. However, if a planet was stealing slaves from another council planet, that would automatically give them licence to act, so space pirates etc. are fair game.


Genetic experimentation is illegal off planet, i.e. in council space and on other races, willing participants or not, and the creation of A.I.s is controlled.


I'll work on a set of council laws as soon as I have time. 


Just change the age bit and your race is accepted.
 
I've got the specs for an extended patrol corvette I created for a now dead rp a while back. Want me to dig em out? Fusion based normal space drive and annihilation based Alcubierre drive with enough weapons to defend herself and a couple of parasites.

That is perfectly fine with me, I actually was planning on taking off few zeroes from the age cap. Also, you just gave me a brilliant idea that might add an interesting dynamic to the story. I placed it in the last paragraph of Culture's and belief's for the Ascended. I hope that is okay with you.

Jeez, looks like I have to match the standard of this Roleplay. Right now, All I have are some pretty pictures to look at. I'll have to work on design specs soon. This is just for the Droid/Artificial Military forces that I have, and as you can guess, these are not new. I've used this race before, though I had to power it down majorly for it to be fair for everyone else. Hope you all enjoy the designs! (I do not own any of them)

Wow, you thought this through. I agree to all but 2 things: 1. an energy shield will likely be needed. 2. The ship (for reasons evident) I would like to name the Nova One. As a gesture of peace the council mediator will offer that the humans name the new explorer battleship to go investigate the threat. Reyna will give the ship its name. If that's ok with you. Otherwise the title of the rp might be rendered a bit ineffectual. Oh, and let's have two fighters, instead of one.

Yeah Sorry. That's just to give you an Idea on the Militancy Status of the Ascended. Thing is, they can only produce so many of them, due to Restrictions on the number of models (again, another sore spot). In the event of war or a state of emergency, however, they do have authorization to mass produce the models in order to fulfill the 'Re-armament' status.

The only other ship to even travel outside the solar system was the one that returned to earth in 2090 and they really only had contact with the Reksh'an.


2. Logically, anyone who convinced a group of militarized people he was a god would likely not qualify as a candidate to be on the first diplomatic mission to introduce the human race to hundreds of technologically superior alien species. I think your character should be a bit more subtle.

Not a problem at all @SilverFlight. The name was a leftover from a defunct RP. Adding a shield generator won't be a problem, since the only reason she didn't have one was that in the other RP they were restricted to Battleships and Carrier classes.Any particular type you'd want her to sport? Also, she does carry two fighters, just different classes... Did you want 2 heavies, 1 recon, and combine the heavy lift and assault shuttles into one general duty lander?


ps. I imagine that if we use her, she can be a gift to the Council, and as a result, renamed in a launch ceremony?

At least 1 Reksh'an light fighter, the rest is up to you, but if I recall there are other races that make good fighters, I was thinking one of them, to make this as multi-cultural a project as possible. You may post the ship specs in the Locations tab :3

And can I possibly explain the people thinking he was a god thing. Because when I lay it all out to me it makes sense. I just want to see if it would make sense to you as well

Would I still be able to have the "army" for him or would I need to remove that
 
A lot of the stuff talked about in regards to the ship being an interracial construction was spot on with what I was already brainstorming! I wish I had the chance to post about it sooner! Here are a few bullet points that I had set aside to post about:



--Classification: Experimental Interspecies Effort (EIE). Due to its status as a prototype, the EIE has no proper universal designation. When classified in terms of size, it is generally assumed to be a slightly larger-than-average corvette. Though it is able to land, its size and density makes doing so rather costly; as a result, unless an extensive stay on a planet's surface is planned, the ship is generally left in orbit while shuttlecraft are sent to and from the planet.


--Name: Nova One. The ship was completed prior to Earth's contact; as a result, in order to foster unity, naming privileges were granted to the Human delegation.


--History: Shortly after the conclusion of initial Council deliberations regarding the Unknown Entity, the Council sent an inquiry to the Institute for Interspecies Collaboration in regards to the feasibility of the construction of a ship capable of serving the needs of a wide range of galactic specialists, while simultaneously playing to individual species' strengths. When the initial report came back favorable, the Council approved a longer research period, during which a series of potential designs were submitted to the council. Upon the conclusion of a second council meeting, during which the Entity situation was declared to be more dire, the Institute was given permission and Council funding to produce a functioning prototype, which was privately tested, before being unveiled to its future users at the beginning of their mission.


The Spectralite Intelligence Union provided initial technical designs, and assisted with additional design theoretics throughout the construction process. The Reksh'an provided mechanical maneuverability systems, and Quality Control regarding the usability of all available ship components by as many species as possible. Vos engineers were dispatched en-masse throughout the galaxy, given clearance to reverse-engineer potentially promising technology for the rest of the planners to utilize. Internal biological comfort and monitoring systems were prototyped and implemented by the Aule'wae, who also contributed their diplomatic files to the effort to ensure that as many artistic sensibilities of individual races as possible were included within the Nova One in order to promote off-duty mental health. Internal holographic and computational systems, as well as external shielding prototypes, were provided by the Patronus Scientia, the latter with extensive assistance from the Lunishan, and most available onboard weaponry was granted from the stocks of the Ascended. Parts were gathered, indexed, tallied, and shipped by trusted and designated Qu'illium traders, and constructed in record time by Valknir workers stationed in the finest Lunishan orbital factories. Though the Typhloids had no direct influence upon the ship's designs, what few that integrated into galactic society were consulted for the sake of improving onboard medical systems. The Kosaritrez, of course, facilitated the entire process from start to finish. Religious leaders from a variety of cultures and species collectively blessed the prototype in the name of their various religions prior to its unveiling.
