Not Everything Is Perfect...(Val & Coedy)

Avery looked down again. Why did she have to find out she liked one of her teachers? She never had it this bad before. There was one time she liked a teacher, but he ended up being 10 years older than her and gay. So she was a little wary.

Dane smiled every time she poked him. Though he focused on notes and paid attention. He couldn't wait for class to end so he could actually talk to her without getting in trouble.

Soon the bell rang, and Sam walked back into his already empty classroom. He sat in his chair, and got the next stack of papers for his next class ready. He drummed his fingers on the table, and smiled when he looked at the computer.

Haley stood up, she poked Dane one more time, and giggled. She picked up her books and then held a hand down for Dane. "Coming?" She asked him with a little wink.

When the bell rang, Avery gathered her things. She hid her notes that had Mr. Hyde's name written on them. She still couldn't believe she did that. What was wrong with her? She left the room and stopped at her locker.

Dane smiled again when she poked him. "I'm coming, I'm coming." He said with a laugh as he gathered his things. He took her hand and stood up. He still didn't care what people thought of them together. It wasn't going to get to him.

Sam yawned and then watched as the students walked into the classroom. He welcomed them, waiting ever so paitently for Avery. He wondered why he felt these things, he shouldn't, but he did.

Haley smiled softly, "Science." She winked before she kissed his cheek. Soon, she was walking out of the classroom, and down the hall.

Avery made it to English, still not wanting to believe what she had discovered. She sat in the same seat she had the day before and got her things out, smiling a little at Mr. Hyde.

Dane smiled. "Fun." He said as she kissed his cheek. People were definitely staring now. He ignored them and started to walk with her.

When Sam saw Avery arrive, his eyes began to twinkle like stars. "Alright class, please open your books to page 32, and we will learn about setting." He told the pupils, and then opened his books as well.

Haley smirked, she walked to her locker where she took her science books out, and placed her social studies books in her locker. "You don't have to sit by me if you don't want to.." She told him, as she turned to walk into the science room.

Avery opened her book and focused on it. She hoped that the feelings were one-sided. Things could get more complicated if he liked her too. Though she would love it if he liked her back, she wouldn't have to feel bad for liking him.

Dane smiled a bit, he had his science stuff with him, so he just stayed with Haley. "But I want to sit by you." He said. "Besides, my friends can get annoying sometimes." He told her with a laugh. "But I guess that's why I'm friends with them.

Sam looked around the class, "Alright, who can tell me the coordinating conjunctions?" He asked the class, as he wrote on the white board. They were fairly easily to memorize, becaus they made the acronym FANBOYS.

Haley giggled, "Sometimes?" She smiled and then walked into the room. She looked up at him and then sat down in her chair. She opened her books and gave a wink to Dane.

Avery was a bit confused. She didn't think she'd ever heard about coordinating conjunctions before. At least not enough to remember what they were by that name. It made her curious to see if anyone did know them.

Dane nodded. "I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt." He told her with a smile. He sat down next to her and got out his things as well. His one friend was definitely shocked, so he'd probably hear about it later.

Sam looked around at his students, "Fine, I'll give them to you. For, and, not, but, or, yet, so." He told his class as he wrote on the board. He then looked at his students, and chucked a little bit. "Be sure to remember that for your exam!" he announced with a smile.

Haley giggled, she looked around at his friends, and frowned a little. She didn't want him to loose his friends because of their relationship. She looked at Dane, and cleared her throat. "I don't want you to loose your friends because of me." She whispered, and looked up at the teacher.

Avery jotted the words down, she'd work on memorizing them later. She didn't like taking tests and prepared as much as she could for them. So she would start now.

Dane shook his head a little. "I won't lose them for sitting with you." He told her. "We have been through worse crap, trust me." He added. "If they had an issue with it, they'd tell me."

Sam smiled at the kids in the seats that were in front of the room. He looke at Avery, and then cleared his throat. "So, who's going to the football game this tomorrow?" He asked his students, as he spun around in his swivel chair.

A thought lingered in Haley's mind, No, he couldn't mean that she told herself, and then nodded. "Okay.. I'm just making sure." She whispered, and then began to tap her pencil on the table top.

Avery stared at him for a moment when their eyes met. Then she looked down. He brought up the football game and she rested her head on her desk. She never understood sports, so she never bothered going to any of the sporting events any school had.

Dane nodded a little. "They shouldn't have a problem with it, though." He assured her. "You're sweet and kind. The only issue we'd have is that they were jealous." He told her with a smile. Then the teacher started talking, so he went quiet.

Sam laughed as the class began speaking, he leaned back in his chair, and then rolled down the aisle. He looked at all of his pupils, then at the wall. Her allow this talking; it was good for the kids. He didn't like being talked to for extensive periods of time.

Haley blushed, and gently punched his shoulder. "Stop.." She mumed and then looked up at the teacher as she started to speak. "I hope you guys have gotten with your partners, and started your projects. They are due next week Tuesday. Please get with your partners now, and talk about your project." Haley looked at Dane and took her binder out. "My place tonight?" She asked him curiously.

Avery watched him roll across the room. The room was full of noise, no one really talking to Avery. Not that she minded, it was better that way. No one to get attached to and then have to part from.

Dane turned to her as the teacher spoke. "It'll have to be after practice." He told her. "But it sounds like a plan." He added.

Sam rolled back to the center of the room."Wll class, I hope you begin after English class." He said as the bell ran. He smiled at the class, an then turned back to his computer.

Haley nodded, "Okay. We you later." She said before she kissed his cheek, and then stood up. She caught up with a friend, and began to talk about gymnastics.

Avery slowly put her things away. She was in no rush to get anywhere. When her things were in her bag, she stood up and began to walk out of the room.

Dane smiled and nodded. "Yeah." He said. His friend joined him, along with a few others. They wanted to know everything. Granted, he didn't tell them everything. Still he told them enough. They seemed sorry for picking on her sometimes and he assured them he'd get even for her.

Sam watched Avery as she walked out of his room, he sighed, not wanting to get her in trouble, an thwn turned his head to the kids who were entering his class.

Haley was bombarded with questions about the relationship between her and Dane. She explained some of the questions, and laughed when she was asked if he was a good kisser. She answered that with a possibly, but was thinking a heck Yeah! She walked into her other class and sat down, with a bored expression.

The rest of the day dragged on for Avery. It felt like an eternity before she was finally free and walking back to the base. For the first time, she was glad for the long walk. It let her think a little.

Dane was surprised at how fast the day had gone. He was in the locker room, getting ready for soccer practice. He loved it, being able to think about one thing. That was a black and white ball getting into the net. That was why he loved soccer. It seemed simple to him.

Sam walked out of the class as the last bell rang. He threw his computer bag over his shoulder, and then walked out to his vehicle. His white-blonde hair blew in the wind as he drove down the street. He turned the volume up a little and then continued to drive.

After school was done, Haley walked out to her car, threw her bags into the passengers searched as then slid into the drivers seat. Time for Gymnastics. She slowly pulled down the street, yawning as she drank some water and ate an apple.

The walk seemed longer to Avery. But when she finally got back, she did her homework. She had something to eat and then she told her dad she was going out. She hopped on her bike and started heading the way she went yesterday.

Dane ran up and down the field for drills. Then he kicked the soccer ball many times. Finally it was over. He showered quickly and got in his car. Then he sent a text to Haley. I'm done with practice. He hit send.

Sam was sitting in his front yard, on his laptop, figuring out the exam. He wondered what would be better; less questions that needed a lot of detail, or more questions with less detail. J guessed that he needed a students to tell him.

Haley had been given a five minute break when she got the text. She sighed and tapped his name, I have half a hour at gymnastics ): she replied, and then was called back to her beam where she was critiqued on her routine.

Avery didn't know what she was thinking, but when she saw Mr. Hyde sitting outside she stopped. It almost felt natural, like she'd stopped in front of his house thousands of times before. "Hi." She said simply, not sure what else she should say.

Dane was at a red light when the text came in. He read it, but didn't have time to reply. When he got back to his house, he started his homework, waiting for her to be done. After a half hour had passed, he texted her again. Is your practice over yet? He hit send and waited.

Sam looked up, smiling when he saw Avery. "Hello Avery." He replied and then leaned back in his grass. "Would you mind helping me with the exam? I don't know whether to do more questions with less detail or less questions with more detail." He explained, hoping that she could help him.

Haley and her team finished, and she left quickly. She hopped into her car, making it home and taking a shower. She was drying her hair when she got his text. Yeah, practice is done.. You need me to pick you up? She replied, and then began to pull out with chart and whatnot.

Avery smiled a little when he looked up at her. She got off her bike and thought about his question. "Um." It was kind of weird that he was asking for a student's help. "Why not make the questions even?" She suggested. "Like have the same amount of each?"

Dane smiled when he got the text. I think your address will be enough. He replied. He packed his things and seeing as he wasn't sure what he needed, he decided to just bring his backpack with him.
