Non Rp questions- (Boredom and curiosity driven) : If you were to create a sword or a weapon that’s called a sword to replace samehada, what would it be like and called? (If you’ve got a name)

Sunagakure has the puppet corps, Kirigakure has the seven swordsman of the mist... Ever get any ideas for unique factions aligned to specific villages?

Lastly.... Actually I’ll stop the questions. I could think of others and just think of topic conversation starters related to the series but I’ll refrain. Xd

Yeah feel free. I really haven’t gone into details for the Anbu followers yet, a lot of multi tasking last night while doing the idea sharing and working on further cs details for Yori and other stuff.

One idea to help the Yanipurr situation is writing her out temporarily maybe due to injury or something else. Leaving our characters and maybe a temp NPC or Fu if necessary and being quicker to fill in the spot to help prevent a recruiting situation to replace Yani and Mai altogether.

I might be able to mine my past Naruto OCs and recycle some of the concepts for Jiro's goons.

That's a pretty good idea. Then she could hop back in when she's ready. I don't mind waiting a bit though.

I forgot about the Explosion corps of Iwagakure as another specialist group tied to a village. I’m struggling to think of anything good at the moment myself either.

A sword like this one or something similar was one look for a idea, the sword basically burns with each touch/slice of the blade and emanates heat was one concept I was working on. One of the many ideas for a Naruto rp I’ve had was a seven ninja swordsmen of the mist rp however Samehada is quite op especially for a non series format. Other ideas might be a kumogakure setting or Suna or Iwa. One intriguing idea would be a Otogakure setting.

Also Otogakure was so underused. I also had an OC for that, lol. XD Kind of a throwaway asshole baddie but really fun to play.

I always was fascinated with the SSOTM since I first heard about them and saw Zabuza. I’ve had a few character ideas myself too. Shichimaru? Good name!

It was indeed! You had some interesting characters and clans there with unique abilities. Even If some were result experiments from Orochimaru, I’ve been thinking over different ideas for a sound oc as well. Thought about a curse Mark oc that’s been tossed aside and/or was from a clan or possessed unique abilities aside from the CM. I think I’ve created a oc or more for almost each known village over the years xd.

The seven swords were pretty interesting. Definitely worth a look if you wanted to check them out. Also a lot of different character ideas for each sword and it’s abilities.

Ok Folks, Yanipurr Crayons ElenaIsCool

I think I’ve stumbled onto something related to my earlier question from a day or two ago regarding ideas for unique factions of specialists for specific villages. It also relates to this rp and adding another element (no pun intended) to this AU rp. Ok, so here is something that might be decent....

Suna-Puppet Brigade, Kiri-Seven Swordsmen, Iwa-Explosion Corps.... Taki- (Name idk still a WIP)

You recall the Takigakure style: Water cutting blade from the old waterfall arc? A secret technique of Takigakure that essentially is water hardening into a sword? Well, I’ve been brainstorming over ideas for unique factions of specialists since asking the question the other day but with no luck or slightest of ideas. Then just now as I researched Taki again I recalled that secret technique and crystal release because how similar they kinda are when you look at them. What if Taki had a group known to them made up of crystal release users and that secret technique is a common jutsu shared by the group (Similar to Hiding in mist jutsu was for the Seven Swordsmen) after all I imagine many of Taki shinobi have water release as one of their natures, so it’s not a big obstacle to overcome. Anyways, this group could be a small but elite organization of ninja loyal to Takigakure

Now crystal release seems to be a rare and unexplored KG only known to one person right? A sound village character in the anime with its compromised of unknown elements though vulnerable to lightning I believe. I never saw this arc so bare with me on all the details of they turn out a bit off. And I can’t recall the characters name either or her exact ties other then a appearance related to Oto I think?

But it’s a rare kg with unknown origins and little info unlike most other Kg’s in Naruto that tend to have a bit more. That along with Takigakure’s water cutting blade seeming rather similar in some ways and appearance. (If more crude then crystal release jutsu) it could be a tie/reason to make a connection and use it for Taki. I think a faction of crystal release users similar to other villages factions might be a fun and interesting idea to explore and add into the plot in time. Needs more work and details also a name, but...

What do you folks think?

i googled her name and it was Guren. I was way off on what I thought it was. But Haku was Ice Release only Guren had Crystal Release in the series.

Looks like we will need to skip Mai/Yanipurr’s turn this round. It’s coming up on a week here soon since the last post in the ic and a bit longer since hearing from Yanipurr who I understand last we heard was quite busy with the corona virus and shifts at work. But for the moment we may need to skip their turn for now and move forward til they can rejoin us.

Ok folks two things:

Firstly; I’ll bring a small update to this OOC soon, but will need a bit while working out actual details and having the energy to form proper strategy for us moving forward and etc. Yesterday I was barely on due to how tired I was and being unable to think of anything more then “ok” haha when replying or thinking of writing a reply to people.

Secondly; I’ve been thinking about other rp settings for a Naruto based role play. I’ve had countless ideas mostly incomplete but ideas still for characters and other villages, clans, etc. One is a massive AU while still using canon clans and kg’s, villages with new oc clans, hidens and kgs as well. (Though massive restrictions on certain ones for obvious reasons) some set in different timelines like one that’s between the third war and original Naruto. One idea set around the sound village since a sound oc would be interesting and they have a very unique batch of ninja and Jutsu there. Some set within Ame, Kiri, Iwa and Kumo and Suna as well.

Long version short; any others have ideas for Naruto based rps?
