Fandom My Little Pony Frontier

Indicus ran to Steelheart's side the distortion causing him to almost black out from magical overload and the sudden loss of magic both happening simultaneously "Steelheart get on my back and hang on, your sister wants us to run for a reason and judging from what is going on it is a very good one!" Indicus said raising his voice loud enough so he could hear himself over the distraction of his mind dealing with the fluctuation and the hunger growing and vanishing from all the life magic in the air something usually found only in blood of magical beings.

Reluctantly agreeing, Steelheart climbed up on Indicus's back.

Lavender Moon looked over her shoulder and asked Indicus " Take good care of min syster."

Her request seemed more ultimate then normal.

Almost as if she felt she would never see her again.

Meanwhile Firecracker shook his head fighting his blown inner ear and his dizziness from magical distortion.

gathering his strength, he focused in order to look into Shina's eyes.

Faking an encoraging smile he replied to her request - " It'll come back for you once everyone is safe."

moving over to Shadow Fang, he implored " Lady, I think we need to go. "

Turning and offering his side for support he added- " I got your back."

Kadje turned tail, motioning for Thunder to go too. the two met back with the rest of the group. "Well today has been absolute chaos." Kadje sighed, tired from so much magic use, but over all okay. Thunder was also relatively uninjured besides minor bruises, scratches and sprains.

"Lets go Kadje, seems whatever Anda wants us to run from is going to be big."

"Are there any boats left in the dock?" Kadje asked him.

"Theres one. big enough to let us all get out alive." Thunder panted from running.

"Then lets go on that, agreed?" Kadje asked the rest of the group.

Fang's eyes fell on Firecracker, looking at him in confusion for a moment. "Leave? Leaving will only make things-" A wave of pure magic knocked the weakened bat pony off her feet. Collapsing to the ground, she let out a weak sputtering cough that sent specks of blood on the ground. "Her magic," she gasped, "What's happened to her?"

"I will Lavender Moon, Zu'u vaat nau sosi." Indicus said repeating the blood oath that he said the first time she asked. Then with a sad nod Indicus took off with the others, carrying Steelheart on his back.

(I swear on my blood)

"I'm not saying we leave. I'm saying we get off the ground. I've seen her split the earth. it'd be bad if she did it out from under our feet." Kadje sighed. his wings twitched as he considered options. he had no clue what the future held, but whatever it was couldn't be good. he had a feeling this was the calm before the storm.

Shina remained as she watched the others leaving, trying to hold back long enough to give them a safe head start from herself. The fluctuation magic had her not only struggling to contain her own magic, but Konton's as well, that small vile of ashes hanging from her neck glowing as a few sparks could be seen with in it, the phoenix trying to reignite it's self. Her eyes winced as she strained to keep her self from bursting in to flames as well, those fuchsia eyes looking to Lavender Moon. "I do not think you can calm her now... You should go too." She said, unsure why the flutterpony would stay behind while the others left.

Lavender Moon took a step between her and the still transforming spirit.

Lightly shaking her head she explained- "You are right.. She is beyond placating. But that is not why I stay."

The wind again began to pick up as Anda grew in both size, and monstrous appearance.

Helping Shadow Fang to her feet Firecracker implored- "Sorry, but your in no shape for this mess."

Trying to force her to move he nudged her in the direction of the docks.

It was as Anda took on the full form of her dragon self Lavender Moon went on- " I want to take responsibility for my actions.. Or perhaps my inaction."

As she spoke, her eyes took the same strange glow that Steelheart's had " You will find I am not as frail as min syster."

Again the magic pulsed through the air; forces of creation and destruction twisting and bending the fabric of magic and normality.

Wincing in pain at the magical flux, Lavender Moon warned- " There is another powerful being coming as well.."

Looking back over her shoulder she smiled with warm compassion saying- " Besides, I promised I wouldn't let anything happen to min syster's dear friend."

It was only moments later Anda unfurled her massive wings and showed her true form as a raw force of nature.

As she roared into the sky, it felt as if the very magic in the land trembled.

Meanwhile as Steelheart rode on Indicus's back she felt weaker and weaker until finally fainting.

The seas turned and raged with all the disruptions of the area.

The cliff sides fractured and fell into the waters as the waves slammed into them.

The only ship that hadn't yet taken off thrashed in the wave trying to both stay afloat and in the harbor.

Suddenly a heavily accented voice could be heard over a loud speaker-" Oi, For the love of Luna, she can'na much more of this. If there is any-pony left on the island you need to hurry!."

Indicus notices Steelheart faint and then sees the ship ahead still docked not knowing if it would be better to be there or on land but it was the best chance for him to get Steelheart to safety so he ran towards the ship and got on before putting Steelheart down to see what exactly caused her to faint and if he could get help for her. All he knew was that the fluctuations played a number on the flutterpony seeing as she had more magic then even the most adept of unicorns. "Someone help me find out how to wake up Steelheart she fainted on the way here probably because of the magical flux.

Fang winced, but limped along side of Firecracker. "I'm sorry..." she murmured, here voice barely audible over the storm. "I failed..." Her crimson eyes no longer glowed as exhaustion claimed her every step.

"You guys go. I'm staying to contain the damage." Kadje spread his wings and was about to fly but Thunder grabbed him by the tail and pulled him back. "No! you will not stay. I can't let you get yourself killed!" Thunder growled.

"This place needs me. we have done wrong, ticked off a spirit and now theres probably about to be a blast so big it can't be contained to one isle!" Kadje pleased as Thunder lead the unwilling prince to the boat.

"And you have done enough. you are injured, you are exhausted, you have done your best but there is nothing you can do now. get on the boat with steelheart and try to contain her magic problem, we will all be going with you." Thunder pleaded, getting him finally on board.

Kadje took a look at steelheart. "I believe if we get her away from the fluxuating magic, she will probably return to normal. if not, we should probably find a medical pony. I'm good with time not magic. I can try t-" Thunder cut off Kadje, resting his head on the alicorn's shoulder.

"Do not feel bad for what your expertise is not. we'll find her a medic as soon as we can but there's nothing you can do right now. but now there is something I must do." Thunder's heart was racing. sure right now was pretty hectic and absolute chaos, but he feared if he didn't do this now, he'd never get the gall to do it later.

"I have loved you from the beginning, since we were foals. I have been hurting. the closer I get to you, the worse it gets. the thought of not having you. I am haunted by the kiss you should never have given me. my heart is racing, hoping that that kiss was not a façade. You are tearing my soul apart, tormenting my every thought. I ask myself, what can I do? That answer is anything you ask of me. But do me this one favor. Kadje. Will you make me the happiest stallion in equestria?" Thunder presented the ring, droping to one knee before the prince who seemed shocked.

"I. Thunder. YES!" Kadje and Thunder were then locked in a sweet hug, tears rushing down Kadje's cheeks in joy. the two shared a kiss before realizing that there's be later to celebrate the occasion. Thunder slipped the ring over his fiancé's hoof and the two were back to work trying to help get everyone back on the boat. Thunder lept from the boat to go back for firecracker and helped hold fang up. "Boat's still waiting. we can wait this storm out."

Firecracker grunted and strained trying to bare both Shadow Fangs partial weight, and his own fatigued legs.

Hearing her say she had failed brought a short burst of strength to the unicorn through sheer determination.

Speaking in a firm voice he encouraged- "Now that's just not true. you've sacrificed your body for pony you barely know.

You've taken massive damage and still pressed forward.. You inspire me."

Jarring her slightly to make sure she hadn't passed out from shock he continued in a more gentle tone- "Hey.. we're all in this together."

With an encouraging smile he added-" And it's not over yet"

Seeing thunder charging up, Firecracker let out a relived sigh.

rapidly losing stamina, Firecracker was also feel the effect of the magical distortion.

With a weak laugh he asked " Hey big guy, could you lend us a hoof?"

Handing Shadow Fang over to the much more capable pony he turned towards town and said " Thanks pal. I'll catch up soon."

While he didn't know what had transpired on the ship, he always sense a loving connection between the prince and Thunder.

This being punctuated as he said with a wink-" I gotta go after the one I love now"

And with a gammy stride, he raced off towards the center of the distortion.

"Good." Indicus looked at the island and then turned to see the Alicorn and his guard confess their love, then turned towards the island once more before pulling out his blade Seeing Firecracker charging in to the chaos for Shina he shook his head in understanding, "Kadje, Lightning, Shadow Fang, stay here and protect Steelheart I'll see to making sure the others come out of this alive." With that Indicus himself left moving for the epicenter of the distortion not far behind Firecracker while trying to use the distortion to charge his own magic and delay his need to feed on blood for awhile longer.

Fang had remained silent during Firecracker's little speech. The wounds were taken their toll, not to mention the fluctuation in magic that was going on. Though he did illicit a small gasp from the bat pony with his nudge. Her gaze finally looked up from the road as the Unicorn called out to Thunder. She winced a little being transferred from one pony to the next. What was going to happen now? She wasn't able to calm Anda and now with her injuries, she was far from any shape to be attempting more drastic measures... Thanks to her magic being completely drained, she wouldn't even be able to reach out to other members of the Order for backup.

"Will do." Kadje muttered at the distortion finaly got to him. Alicorns were hella strong in the magic department, but eventually distortion of this degree was bound to get to him. Kadje stumbled and had to lay down on the boat.

"Kadje? whats wrong?" Thunder asked worried, but too occupied to do anything.

"I'm fine. just distortion. it's not affecting me as much as the other unicorns but ive been exposed too long. wheres firecracker and shina?" Kadje called back.

"On their way. I belive that's where indicus went."

"Death does not aton for mistakes, you must live to do that." Shina said firmly. Unable to hold all of her magic back any longer the only fur on her scaled body, her mane and tail, bust in to flames, fire flickering in her eyes. Though she was still struggling to hold back more. "I have a boat on the other side of this island. If she does not give chase you go to the docks with the others, make sure they leave. I will go to my boat." Shina said fearing she might be a danger to the others if she left with them. "Hopefully it is far enough from this distortion I will not set it on fire..." She muttered to her self before adding. "We can meet up at sea."

Finally on the boat Fang's weakened legs forced her to lay down beside Steelheart. Giving the small flutter pony a concerned glance, she stretched her good wing and used it to cover her. Lavender Moon has said they're more magic than mare, the distortions caused by Anda would have a more potent effect on the two flutter ponies. But what can we even do?

Her head growing heavy, Lavender Moon was having trouble fighting the massive out poor of magic Anda was putting off.

Despite being much better trained in magic then her sister, she still was a flutter pony, and thus weak to the distortion.

Reluctantly she agreed- "Helvete Alright, I'll see to the other. Do not do anything foolish or hasty. You are too young to die here"

As Lavender Moon turned to run away, she was stopped cold by a large tale slamming the earth in front of her.

Anda let our a fierce roar that shook the earth, and rattled the trees.

Hearing the roar, Firecracker hesitated for a moment.

Taking a deep breath, he continued rushing towards Shina and the dragon Anda.

Also hearing the roar in the distance, captain Blarney announced- " We best be sail'n off while we can.!"

Finally Steelheart woke up under Shadow Fangs wing.

She seemed barely awake, as she didn't even open her eyes.

In a weak voice she said- " N..No. We can't leave them. please, don't let him."

Thunder stamped a hoof. "We aren't leaving." He paced back and forth on board, hooves clacking against the wooden deck heavily and Kadje got up. His footsteps so graceful they didn't make much sound. "Thunder? how far did they go?"

"Good question. I should P-" Kadje stamped a hoof.

"Absolutely not! I am not getting proposed to and being instantly widowed." Kadje snorted.

"Fine, fine. they can handle it. for now I think im going to help keep some of these sails from bursting open. or anything from breaking."

Shina prepared to run as well, till the sound of Anda's tail drew her attention again. Those fiery eyes narrowed sharply to glare at the dragon. As anger struck her Shina could no longer hold back her magic, dragon fire suddenly erupted all around her. At first it was just a raging fire with the little kirin at the center. As Shina regained some control the fire began to form and take shape, pulling in the fire around her to keep it from burning and spreading. When she was finished Shina was nearly hidden among the dense flames which former the shape of a long slender oriental dragon all around her.

"Hey!" Her voice echoed against the flames making her shouts sounds more like a roar. "Why don't you pick on somepony your own size!" She yelled at Anda, apparently ignoring Lavender Moon's warning about doing something foolish, instead trying to distract Anda so the flutterpony could escape.

Fang's ears fell slightly at the the sound of Steelheart's weak voice. She wanted to rush off, go find Firecracker and Shina and bring them to safety. But she was far from any condition to even move. Even the shifting of the boat caused the bat pony to wince in pain. "We're not leaving them, Steelheart." She finally managed to say, "There's no way we could."

Indicus watched Lavender Moon try to run before the Spirit's tail slammed on the ground shortly after he watched Shina burst into flames before recollecting herself and forming a flame dragon. Through the chaos Indicus found a decent balance of discharging and recharging his magic to keep with the fluctuation. Indicus ran towards Lavender Moon to attempt to help her get away.

Sneering and growling angrily the dragon the dragon turned to the kirin and without a moments hesitation blasted her with an indigo fire that erupted into a swirling pillar of fire.

Lavender Moon turned and screamed in dismay as the pillar roared and twisted bellowing heat and killing everything in it's area.

As the fire whirled into the air it reveled that the kirin was of course, unharmed.

Seeing that Shina was ok, and seizing her opportunity, Lavender Moon gave a quick nod before taking off as fast as she could.

As she rushed by she didn't see any of the other pony racing back towards the thick of it.

Just as Firecracker arrived on the scene he saw both the giant dragon, and what looked like another dragon.

almost fainting, he shook off his sickness and fear, he swallowed his cowardice.

Creeping along trying to go unnoticed he inched his way towards his cannon.

he had left it behind so he could run more easily, but now he needed it more then ever.

He didn't know where Shina was, but he knew he had one round left.

He hoped that one special round was strong enough to slay at least one of the dragons.

Back on the boat the captain again urged- " I'll give ye a wee bit more time, but their are more lives at stake."

With a weak and content smile, Steelheart replied with a quiet "Thank you."

She then slumped against Shadow Fang and seemed to fall asleep.

Suddenly, as she slept she began to glow.

much like her eyes had done many times before, but this time it covered her whole body.

it started faint, but as she smiled serenely in comfort, it spread to her whole body.

As the glow grew stronger a square meter around her seemed unaffected by the distortion.

In addition, it also radiated a warm soothing light that seemed to heal small wounds.

It was made apparent as the bandages began to fall from Shadow Fang revealing the minor wounds that Firecracker had treated were sealed and in-fact, gone.

The effects were not major, but combined with the protection from the distortion provided a much needed respite.

Indicus watched Lavender Moon get away then headed to try to help Shina keep the spirit back and away from the boat and started to summon his own magic

Shina of course stood her ground when the indigo fire burned around her. She wasn't quite sure what the color meant, but fire was fire right? Once Anda's display was complete Shina reared up on to her hind legs, horn glowing from where she stood with in the fire dragon. Her flame creation opened its jaws to give a blast of fire back at the flesh dragon. Of course Shina knew dragon fire likely wouldn't do much damage to a dragon. Her goal was more to distract Anda, keep the spirit focused on her so the others could get away safely.

In the chaos of everything she hasn't noticed Firecracker had returned and was beginning to think of how to make her own escape when she felt another spark of magic from the vial hanging from her neck. "Tawagoto!" She cursed in her native tongue. "Konton, ima wa yoi jikande wa arimasen!" (Konton, now is not a good time!)
