Fandom My Little Pony Frontier

Indicus laughed yea I could, and don't worry about odd families my mom was a earth pony and dad was a griffin and I am a threashal unicorn. The family reunion when I was eight was quite funny my grand parents on both sides argued a lot over customs and don't get me started on the food that was to be served, my grandpa on dad's side wanted a roasted hog as the center piece of the table and you can imagine what my pony grandpa thought of that. But in the end we had a great time and I got to enjoy a great hog." Indicus smiled thinking back to the warm bitter sweet memory.

Fang chuckled, nodding. "Well, for the most part it's your somewhat average earth ponies, pegasi and unicorns. Even a few bat ponies besides us are running around. You'll probably get along great with the griffons too." She smiled, thinking about the group she'd grown to call her family. "Don't worry about the Draconicorn Spyro Soul, he's not nearly as mean as he looks. Mmmm is there anypony else that you should probably know about right away?" She glanced around in thought for a moment. "Oh, The lucicorns Lucidia and her daughter Hope. While Hope may have taken after her father's trouble making side, she won't go giving you any nightmares. The strangest dreams you've ever had? Definitely. But no nightmares at least."

Indicus laughed some more. "Sounds like quite a nice family and I could use some variations in my dreams besides using them like a practice arena even if it is one hell of away to safely practice some of the more dangerous and frowned upon magic types like necromancy and even some dark magic without worry of harming anyone still having trouble with turning the magic leach rune that I learned and using it as a spell. I know the basis for it all but execution is a bit harder. While dark magic requires a lot of self control and will, seeing as some unfavorable spirits love using the lay lines that create it as gate to get into this realm. If I read correctly the author of the book on the magic started getting greedy and power hunger later succumbing to a spirit before he realized it." Indicus shook his head and chuckled once more realizing he was ranting about magic. "Sorry got caught up in that subject, as sometimes I am apt to do."

Fang chuckled, waving him off. "Don't worry about it. Soul's actually pretty knowledgeable in the lesser known fields of magic." She sat down, looking out over the more peaceful waters. "You'll be able to practice your magic safely with us. Not to mention we have a library that would make the Element of Magic swoon." She laughed softly, it felt good being able to relax now that the danger was over and there was no longer any need for her to keep up a more professional appearance.

"I'm sure Spyro Soul and I will talk quite a bit and more then likely if he is as much of an academic as I think he might be from what you've told me so far, both of us will be in the library bouncing things off each other." Indicus chuckled at the thought and actually liked it, it was one hell of a chance he was being given, a chance to have a family once more something he had not done since his team died this event gave him friends once more and in three days the group that he fought with on the island became at least in his own mind close friends all bonded together by the trials they just faced and overcame.

Fang nodded, "Then it's settled. Once everything's said and done here, I'll introduce you to everyone. Though I should let you know Soul's going to want to hear your side of what happened here. Especially since I was down for the count in the end." She shifted a little before shrugging. "What can I say? Being sent careening through a building tends to be bad for your health."

Indicus laughed once more, "Yea flying through buildings is bad for the health last time I checked. Anyway that sounds like a plan I will be glad to recount the events with you for the family." Indicus let himself feel the roll of the words on his tongue and liked it and was amased at how natural the words felt in their context it seemed he was already starting to accept the idea with open arms.

Gesturing in agreement the rescue pony pointed towards the far end of the island and a second Pegasus took off in search of her ship.

Finally the leader of the group announced- " Alright, that's it! every pony is here, lets get this crate back to the main land. "

Tilting her head from side to side to listen closely Steelheart asked "But.. What about Firecracker? isn't he coming?"

She had fallen into her sleep like trance before Firecracker pulled his desperation move.

An awkward silence fell over the ship as she cheerfully expected an answer; unaware of the pained expression on Shina's face.

~Steelheart's Epilogue~

After the events of the Northern Grove (renamed Equinox) Steelheart was taken by her friends to the royal city.

Once there, She was granted an audience with the princesses to explain her side as a victimized native.

While being separated from her sister made her depressed at times, she showed the strength of character that had come to define her.

In the fallowing months she grew stronger and more mature then in the last decade of her life.

She was becoming the mirror image of her sister's grace, and civility.

But through all this, she maintained her pure heart, and innocent nature.

Granted a position in Hast's council she committed herself to making sure the voice of the flutter pony would not be ignored.

However, in her dreams she could still feel the call of the island she left behind.

A part of Anda's very soul was instilled in her.

and while her madness had departed, she still felt a connection to her homeland that could never be severed.

~Lavender Moon's Epilogue~

After a tearful good bye with her sister, Lavender Moon returned to the Island.

She hoped to bring back the scattered tribes of flutter pony that had been displaced.

The rebuilding process was slow, but slower still was healing the emotional scars.

Months passed and Lavender Moon could do little to ease the anger of the tribes.

Only barely avoiding war, she managed to talk the tribes down with the tale of the elements of redemption.

Of Kadje, and his selflessness..

Shina's Honor.

Shadow Fangs Empathy.

Indicus's display of Justice.

Of Firecracker's desperate act of Valor.

And that their great spirit lives on in the form of Steelheart's purity.

These stories moved the tribes, and brought about the greatest element of redemption..

The one that will always prove that the pony race: Flutter, Bat, Earth, or other, is always able to be saved...

......Forgiveness.....

Shina's head dropped at the mention of Firecracker. Fearing her voice might crack if she spoke to loudly about it she stepped a bit closer to Steelheart to explain. "He had to be airlifted to the nearest hospital on the mainland." Fighting back a few tears she barely managed to squeak out the last bit. "They said, they are surprised he is alive..."

Tilting his head in a look of confusion the tiny baby bird upon her horn gave small peep. His baby feather fluff nearly matching Shina's mane, red with orange high lights. His large red eyes somehow cute but piercing all at once.

As the boat sailed away the lead rescue pony walked over to console Shina. -" You know that Unicorn they flew out of here? Sorry, I couldn't help overhearing. Call it a medic's ears... I heard he was a pretty roughed up.. The nearest hospital would be Trottingham. Tell you what, once we get these pony safely ashore, I'll give you directions. "

Resting a hoof on her shoulder he tried to comfort her- " I'm sure he'll be ok though. Stix and Stonze may be nitwits, but they are top notch first responders. "

Indicus's Epilogue

Indicus went back with Shadow Fang giving control of the Assassins guild to a trusted student of his only acting as a guide for the new leader.

In the first month he started referring to them as siblings enjoying the feeling of having a family again and even celebrating his fortieth birthday with them.

Indicus went with Shadow Fang on most of the missions she was called out for and even a few on his own, the work not unlike the assassinations or work in Luna's guard.

Working with Spyro Soul Indicus bettered his knowledge of necromancy, Dark magic, Shadowmancy and other lesser known or acknowledged magics, while sharing what he knew of Shadowmancy with Soul.

When possible Indicus made several attempts to magically message Steelheart and Lavender Moon along with the others as well as checking in on Firecrackers condition over the months. He never knew if the messages ever made it to their destinations.

Indicus never forgot Anda and the tragedy that befell her during what would be called The Equinox Incident or the prophesy she spoke even if it was fulfilled

'Your past is one of tragedy.. But tragedy is the crucible that forges strong hearts. You will need this strength of heart to face the conflict ahead of you.

For it will fall to you to protect one of the elements of redemption.

Should you falter the Flutter pony will suffer'

Nor did Indicus forget the pain of his past but with his new family the pain became easier to bear. Indicus thought of what Steelheart thought of him how she thought him a good pony ignorant of his past what he did, and figured in a sense she was right.

He may not have been a good pony in the strictest sense but he did try and that's what counted right?

Those thoughts made the 'Rivers of blood and trails of bodies' haunt his dreams and waking mind much less.

Shadow Fang's Epilogue

Returning home after the events at Equinox, Fang brought Indicus in as a new member of the Order, who she grew to consider her own family. The group happily welcomed the unicorn into their fold, just as they had for her what feels like years ago.

With help from both Indicus and Commander Soul, Fang better honed her own magical abilities. While not nearly as potent as a unicorn, opening and using portals isn't as draining as it used to be.

She was always glad to have the skilled unicorn at her side during missions, especially some of the more difficult ones she was sent on. The two seemed to mesh well together.

While she may not have been able to visit the friends she had made on Equinox she made sure to never forget them. How could she after everything they all went through in such a short amount of time?

As the months went on, Fang began to feel a certain fondness towards Indicus. Was it just the strong bond between friends? Or perhaps something a bit deeper?

Only time will tell.

Shina's Epilogue

The second she arrived at the mainland Shina hurried to the hospital Firecracker had been taken to, and there she remained until she absolutely had to leave. Such as when Konton or her self needed fed. Even while Firecracker was in the ICU she would sleep in the waiting room, a baby bird curled up beside her. As time passed the fiery kirin began focusing her spare time in raising Konton when she was not waiting around the hospital simply hoping to hear some kind of news, be it good or bad. From the outside looking in it might of seemed like she was wasting her life away just waiting. Still though none could ever talk her out of it. Oddly enough despite having no real job the foreign kirin never seemed hard up for money. She'd found some ponies would pay a lot of bits for some random piece of junk she had simply because from the far east.

Even when Firecracker was moved to Canterlot Shina and her pet phoenix moved too. As time passed Konton was loosing more and more of his baby fluff, growing and filling out, beginning to look like a very large hawk. When the doctors finally allowed her in to his room Shina could always be found by Firecracker's bed side when she was not out teaching Konton to fly, hunt, and what he could and couldn't burn. This was her life over the next nine months.

Even on the night she'd been informed was Firecracker's birthday, Shina preferred to be in his room instead of out watching the fireworks. Havering been warn out chasing Konton around all day Shina had drifted off to sleep curled up on the sofa in Firecracker's room. Curled up by her side was an adolescent bright red phoenix who'd nearly lost all his baby fluff. The fireworks popping off out the window reflecting against her pearl like scales as she somehow had grown so tired as to sleep through the sound of them.
