Fantasy Mrs. Evans' School for the Gifted

 Azalea had no further satisfaction then to watch Sorren's smug grin crash to the floor as she clawed him across the face. She had forgotten her blood on her hand and watched in satisfaction as her blood dropped unto his lips. She knew the moment his face turned stony, she was not the only one to lose.

Azalea stopped holding her breath as he dropped her legs, but she didn't catch herself in time, and fell to her knees. In what seemed like a blur, he was at the librarian in seconds, and sank his fangs into her. He was there for quite awhile before he raised his head and stepped away.

Azalea stared at his eyes, glowing with hunger. She stood, but shakily, she'd need to get her wound patched soon. But despite everything, Azalea grinned at him, a wry grin, eyes filled with triumph. He looked confused, hesitant. "I told you Sorren. I warned you." Azalea said gently, an angry edge to her tone. "I always get what I want Sorren. I always win." She took a sleek, graceful step towards him, cocking her head at him. "I may have snapped, but you're on the very edge of becoming a bloodthirsty vampire." Azalea tone was teasing, her eyes cold.

Azalea took a step toward the door, her voice dangerously low. "I pull the strings here." Azalea said, no longer smiling. She took another step towards the library door to leave, feeling weak, angry and tired.

Interaction: @Bowa

Sorren was angry with himself and beyond mad at Azalea, the way she rubbed it in made him want to give her a 'prize' for winning - by detaching her head from her neck. Sorren wasn't going to stoop that low though, that was just a thought of anger that would never come to fruition. It would be an action that would confirm everything she was saying, ultimately, making the situation worse. The hybrid didn't bother to look at her, if she grinned, laughed, cried, danced...he just didn't care. Sorren could have ended the game right there, just one slick movement and a claw would be slashing the skin on her throat. Azalea was saying she pulled the strings, but Sorren had the scissors to make her whole plan collapse.

Sorren rolled his eyes in reply to whatever Azalea said, he was half not listening and was thinking about what his next move was. The lack of attention would either annoy her, make her think she had really got to him, or she simply just wouldn't care.  Sorren was fine with either, he had his moment of weakness but now was the time to formulate something to end this quickly, something she would never be prepared for; Azalea thought she had the upper hand now but did she really?

Sorren walked over to a nearby chair and sat on it, he focused on his breathing to calm himself down. "If you're going to leave just do it. Enjoy your victory while you can...", he said bitterly without looking at her. Sorren was competitive, he despised losing or even drawing, which was technically what this situation was but he would let her think she was 'winning'. His eyes were on the bigger picture. The hybrid was going to have to tread carefully but it would be worth it in the end.

Before their next encounter Sorren was going to make sure his bloodlust was under control so she had no leverage against him, it wouldn't be too difficult as he had already done it previously. Then he decided that he would interact with some people who weren't cold-hearted and lacking feeling, Sorren wasn't like her. He wasn't a beast, he wasn't sadistic, and he didn't mind having fun with others as actual people.

Sorren wasn't sure how much time had passed while the pair were in the library, it seemed like forever. After she had left and he had eased his mind Sorren would forget about her, at least for a while.

 Azalea smirked as she left, Sorren's words echoing in her head. She felt victorious, somewhat, and maybe a bit worried. After she was sure Sorren wasn't following, Azalea dropped her mask and nearly sprinted down the hall for the bathroom. She bursted into the bathroom and into an open stall and threw up her breakfest.

Azalea sank to her knees and heaved. Despite everything, Azalea was just a girl underneath her walls of ice. The sight of all the blood from the librarian made her choke, and her head spun from her bleeding wound. Azalea sat there for what seemed like minutes, feeling empty inside, as if someone had torn out whatever was left of her empty heart.

Azalea pushed herself up and she left the bathroom, she half stumbled down the hallway, getting some strange looks from students as she held a hand to the puncture wounds, until she got to the nurses office.

The nurse prodded and poked at her wound, as she tended to it she continuously asked her questions. Azalea stared on emptily ahead, the memory of the pavilion and her sisters brought back memories Azalea had pushed down over the past two years, reliving them only gave her a sense of bitter loss and emptiness. Azalea ignored the nurse.

"So..how did this happen Ms. Silvers?"

Silence.

"Okay...well, I don't think you should've seen me about this. This is a major wound, and could've proven to be fatal. This looks like a hospitals job... how- how are you not in pain?"

More silence.

The nurse sighed at Azalea's silence. "Well," she continued. "Considering you don't seem to be in too much pain, I'll patch it up for you, but I'm gonna need to keep you here for a bit. "

Azalea ignored her, the nurses voice sounded like a distant memory as her mind was somewhere else, however she was brought out of her small trance as the nurses voice cut into her thoughts.

"-family I can call?"

Azalea sighed, wishing she'd shutup and decided to respond.

"No. I don't." Azalea said coldly, making the atmosphere feel like ice in the room. The nurse pursed her lips and hesitated before getting up and walking away, leaving Azalea too her thoughts, her wound patched by now. Azalea layed back on the uncomfortable bed, feeling tired, and within seconds she was out like a light, falling asleep to the silence of the nurses office.

After sitting in the same position for a while Sorren was back to feeling level-headed, his anger had deteriorated and he had control back over his hunger. He just remembered that the librarian was still out cold by her desk, he got up, walked over to her while he pulled down his sleeve and then knelt beside her. He bit his wrist and dripped his blood into her mouth, almost instantaneously the wounds on her neck healed and a cut that she sustained when she dropped to the ground sealed up. Sorren didn't want to show this side to Azalea but he wasn't about to just let her bleed out on the floor, he wouldn't hesitate killing anybody who threatened to kill his family or friends. However, Sorren didn't see the need for a bystander to lose her life just because she was there. She was still unconscious after she healed but she would wake later with no recollection of anything that had happened while the hybrid was in the library and be healthy.

Sorren took one last deep breath before he strolled out the library doors, he paused just outside and glanced around the hallways before he walked towards the schools entrance. Sorren wasn't completely sure what class he had now but he knew he didn't want to go anyway and so was going to take a stroll, breath in fresh air and relax in a tranquil environment. He needed a break.

As he wandered outside the school entrance Sorren couldn't half believe his eyes, there seemed to be a lamia stroking a big dog. He raised an eyebrow curiously as he took a few steps closer before he realised it wasn't a dog, it was one of the football captains Alex. Sorren rolled his eyes as he thought to himself with disappointment, "No wonder werewolves get a bad reputation...", he decided to approach the pair and see what was going on. Them just sitting there and him rolling over like a mindless animal looked kind of weird, at least to him.

Sorren brushed some imaginary dust off of his shoulder as he walked over to the two, he nodded in acknowledgment towards the lamia and then looked down at Alex, "Do you want a dog trea-", Sorren changed what he was going to say mid-sentence, he was abrupt by habit but he desperately wanted to avoid more confrontation. "Hey, you look...comfortable", he really wanted to say he looked pathetic but decided that Alex probably wouldn't appreciate that.

Alex immediately stopped and he sat up him turning back to a human completely and he looked to Sorren, he ignored the first thing he started to say and then he grabbed his football Jersey off of the ground next to him and he put it on to cover up his muscles and scars, which Sorren would get a quickl glimpse of, they were large going from his back right shoulder to his left hip and his back left shoulder to his right hip, there was 4 lines to each of them, all jagged and claw-like scars, he then cracked his neck sniffing the air, it would seem casual but anyone who knew a lot about Werewolves would be able to tell he was memorizing Sorrens scent and trying to find out what he was, he then spoke in a cheerful yet embarrassed tone

"Y-yeah, it's nice to be pet once in a while. Heheh, sorry if it freaked you out or anything."

@Deadly Darkness @Bowa

Sorren was a hybrid so he was naturally quite perceptive, he noticed Alex's scars, they were deep and large. Not likely from an ordinary accident. Before he could think about the subject more Sorren had to strain to not roll his eyes again after Alex spoke, "He likes to be pet, are you kidding me?", he thought to himself amused. Sorren casually put both hands in his pockets and spoke calmly, "No, it didn't freak me out it's just unusual to see is all. If you don't mind me asking, how did you get those scars on your back?" That was the one thing that Sorren just couldn't conceal, his curiosity. Once he caught onto something he had to find out about it, which was both a blessing and a curse.

@ThatOneLunatic @Deadly Darkness

Alex would freeze, he couldn't believe he let him see his scars and he sighed and quickly made up something "Oh, an accident when i was younger. Nothing big." He said with a light chuckle as he rubbed the back of his neck nervously, thats what gave him away, he always did that when he was nervous. And when people asked about his scars he became very nervous, it was something of his past that he didnt want people knowing about, he wanted to forget about it himself, Lila had woken him from a dream, that dream was about how he got his scars and he was still freaked out by it.

She laughed softly and rubbed behind his ears again, but a crunch of grass from behind made her stop immediately. Her eyes were slit as she looked at the other student. In realizing it was another student her face turned a deep red. She gave a slight nod and look to the ground awkwardly. She felt like she had been caught doing something scandalous, but maybe because Alex was on the football team it was. She supposed she would've jumped out her scales if the other student had come out when Alex was feeling her tail. She coiled her tail around herself as she listened to the conversation.

She had noticed the scars earlier, but thought it rude to ask. She figured, though, if this guy was going to ask she might as well hear the explanation Alex gave.

Sorren had the urge to just compel Alex and get him to tell him about his scars but resisted, the hybrid could tell Alex was lying because one, his heartbeat sped up as he spoke which is an irregular reaction to such a simple question indicating that he was both nervous and lying . Second, because his scars are literally and clearly the opposite of 'nothing big' which implies that they are significant, and third, because Alex rubbed his neck after answering which is an obvious sign of nervousness.

He decided to not to push the werewolf further though, Sorren knew what happened when you pushed someone too far. He just sighed, looked around at nothing in particular and then spoke to Alex again, "Must have been quite the accident...". Sorren spoke in a tone that hinted disbelief and then realised he hadn't introduced himself, "I'm Sorren by the way, do you both usually come out here and pet one another?", he said with a small laugh.

@ThatOneLunatic @Deadly Darkness

Alex laughed at the question "No no no, we just met today actually, I do normally come out here to get away from class though. I'm Alex." He said smiling before looking to Lila and then back to Sorren "She was only petting me because I had a bad dream and well, I..I was a little freaked out by it." He laughed still smiling, that was something about Alex that always made people curious, he was always cheerful, he never seemed upset, very few people had ever seen him without a smile on his face, unless he was playing football that is, then his face was that of determination.

@Bowa @Deadly Darkness

Much like the boy- Sorren- Lila didn't believe the story Alex had conjured up, but she didn't press to know. After thinking she had regained her composure, Sorren asked if they usually petted each other. A lighter blush lighter up her face as she shook her head. "N-No, I just came outside to warm up." Her voice was soft and timid. She cursed at herself internally. The day had become somewhat overcast in the time. She hoped it would brighten up, not only for the game Alex had to play in, but also for the sake of her motor skills. "Lila," she stated softly.

@Bowa @ThatOneLunatic

Sorren let out a small laugh at the awkwardness of both Alex and Lila, and then nodded in agreement with Alex's statement. "I get what you mean, I have a spot where I go to escape but I don't normally fall asleep there", Sorren was surprised Alex could fall asleep out in the open, the possibilities of something happening to him had to be quite high. "Bad dream? I've had a really bad day if it's any consolation".

He turned and faced Lila as she spoke, she was clearly a bit flustered about the situation. Sorren looked her over, he had never seen a lamia up close before, "What's it like being a lamia?", he asked bluntly. Sorren didn't mean it in a mean way, he was genuinely wondering, she was different in a way that most others weren't and he didn't know how to phrase such a question.

The question caught her off guard, but didn't offend her. She simply didn't know how to answer. "I suppose it's like being human except there are things you can't do. I can't climb stairs; I can't fit in very small places; I can't take really cold baths; I can't shower unless it's a large area; I can't move straight away in the morning, bu that's why my bed's heated. That way I can start moving faster. I have a mammal reproductive system, so I get those perks, and I shed my tail every so often which is painful and makes me sick." After finishing talking she realized she had bombarded Sorren with a lot of information that probably didn't need to be shared. She shrugged internally and tried to act like her over sharing was no big deal.

@ThatOneLunatic @Bowa

Alex looked at her a bit confused and he sighed "I didnt know it was that difficult for you. I'm sorry." Alex said looking to Lila with a sympathetic look upon his face, he knew neither of them believed him on what he said and he felt rather out of place. He would much rather return to talking the Lila, but this new appearance of Sorren had ruined that, he smelt the air again and he could smell something familiar, much like himself coming from Sorren and he looked to him, "So what are you? Seems we all know the others secret besides yours."

@Deadly Darkness @Bowa

Sorren nodded along as Lila spoke, he enjoyed the fact that she shared a lot of information as he liked knowing all he could. He tried to empathise with her, he wouldn't be able to do more than half of the things he did if he were in her shoes, he felt a pang of sadness for her although it must not be all bad. "Hmm, so you can't transform to have human legs?", Sorren brought a finger to his chin like he was in deep contemplation, "I'm sure a witch could cast a spell so you could transition between having human legs and a snake lower half. At least temporarily. That's if you wanted to that is, there is nothing to be ashamed of for being a lamia".

Sorren could sympathise with Lila, although not on the same scale, he had been judged and restricted from doing things because of what he was. Nevertheless, being a hybrid certainly had its benefits, Sorren wouldn't go back to his previous form if he had the chance; he liked being a hybrid.

Sorren looked over at Alex as he asked him what he was like it was a government secret, "I'm a hybrid. The schools one and only", Sorren smiled. Practically everyone knew he was a hybrid, when he first came to the school he got bombarded by people questioning him about it, much to his annoyance. Sorren looked at the pair in front of him, then tilted his head, "Have none of the teachers noticed you're just sitting out in the open when you're supposed to be in class?", Sorren questioned. He was surprised nobody had now noticed them especially since he had so casually walked up to them.

@ThatOneLunatic @Deadly Darkness

Lila laughed at the two as if they said something very amusing. "It's alright. I'm not ashamed of who I am, and sure sometimes it sucks I can't do those other things, but you can't miss what you never had. I'm content with the way I am. If I were given the chance to have legs I wouldn't take it because then I may never want to change back. I would've lost myself. This snake tail makes me, me." She smiled brightly. Her tail was still wrapped around her, but the tip waved back and forth happily like a blade of grass in a gentle breeze.

 Azalea didn't get much sleep in the nurses office before she was rudely shaken awake with a gentle hand touching her wound, making a jolt of pain vibrate through her. Azalea shot up in the stiff bed in seconds, causing the nurse to stagger back, alarmed. Azalea narrowed her tired eyes at her with  eyes as cold as ice.

The nurse opened her mouth, stammering out an apology. "S-sorry Ms. Silver. Just checking up on you're wound. And someone's here to see you."

Azalea froze. She had allies. Not friends. "Who?" She asked in a breathless whisper.

The nurse shrugged, turning around with her back to Azalea to do some work on her computer. "Don't know, he didn't say. Just said he wanted to see 'Miss Azalea'." The room was silent, the nurse turned around to see if Azalea fell back asleep, but she was gone.

Azalea quietly stepped out of the nurses office in a hurry, trying to be as quiet as possible. She knew it wasn't Sorren. Only one person referred to her as 'Miss Azalea.' She needed to get somewhere alone. Outside seemed perfect, maybe she'd leave school.

Azalea walked towards the entrance doors but stopped at the sight of Sorren and a few others outside. Azalea choked and quickly turned away from the doors. Relieved she didn't step outside, Azalea walked the opposite way from the doors, twisting and turning through empty hallways.

Azalea used another exit outside, and felt relieved as she took a breath of fresh air. Azalea hugged herself, the only person she could hug. Which made her grateful and a little sad at the time, but she knew it was necessary. She dug in her pockets feeling her phone and another phone. Remembering Raisa's phone, Azalea took it out and smashed it against a tree, causing it to shatter and break apart completely. Feeling angry and helpless, Azalea needed to calm down, and she quickly walked into the woods, needing to calm down.

Interaction: None

Alex smiled at her, he liked that she accepted herself, Alex on the other hand didnt like that he was a Werewolf, he had never wanted to be one, he found his powers useful but it wasnt normal, and it often made people think terribly of him, he kept his smile on although all the talk about him had made him saddened. He shrugged when Sorren asked about teachers "Well, I think they noticed that I was a little angry, so I dont think they will bother me." He chuckled as he smiled to them "The teachers dont bug me when im angry. And trust me, they know I am angry today." He said lightheartedly

Marcus Knight walked into the school and went to the office. He got his schedul but was confused as to where he needed to go. He walked around aimlessly until he saw a blonde girl that looked about his age. "Hi do you think you can tell me where this class is??" Marcus asked pointing to his schedual. He looked towards Andromeda, and smiling.

Sorren couldn't help but let a chuckle escape his lips, "I feel like I'm at one of those motivational speaker events". What Lila said resonated with Sorren though, it may have been slightly cheesy but it was true and it didn't hurt anyone to be confident in themselves. At first, Sorren was a bit apprehensive about coming up to Alex and Lila because frankly, he didn't usually speak to people who were known to be overly cheerful or shy because he found them annoying. However, they were alright, it was certainly a much appreciated change from being clawed in the face.

The hybrid raised an eyebrow inquisitively as he folded his arms across his chest, "Why are you angry?" he asked Alex. The guy must really be having a dreadful day if he had a bad dream, is angry, and needed to be petted.

@ThatOneLunatic @Deadly Darkness

He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck closing his eyes slightly looking down "Well, its a long story, lets just say someone pissed me off, and I may have been punching a heavy weight punching bag and may or may not have accidently kicked it and sent it flying into the wall where it tore open." He said a bit nervously but he was once again smiling and laughing

((I'm not trying to be mean but I'm a grammar nazi and the spelling of 'schedule' is really triggering me. Send help plz.))
