Kara frowned in worry, looking down to their joined hands. Then she brought his hand up and gently kissed his knuckles before looking back to him. "You will do the best that you can Arthur, we will figure thing out. I can start making preparations for the pack for if the time comes that we may need it." She offered. Of course she was frightened, but she was not going to shy away from this. She would stand by her husband's side and do anything she could to help him.

 

[Matreania]

Arthur looked at her and smiled, "I need you to take Kevin and visit the other packs. Wade and Johnathan need to be ready and I can't leave them to Kevin." he sighed, kissing her cheek, "These Shifters will do anything to take our power and learn how an Alpha controls their pack and they will use it in the worse way. I'm going to send the boys to the Ice Mountains, to find my parents. My father will be furious, but I can't leave the pack. At least this way, I will have some advise on how to stop this."

Kara hesitated only a brief moment before nodding. She would do as he asked because she needed to do what she could to help him and she would always would. "What information do you want me to look for when we visit the others?" She asked.

 

[Matreania]

"I need to know which pack will stand with us." he explained to her, Arthur sighed, "I'm sorry, Kara. But you have Kevin with you, so I trust you will be fine."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Kara nodded. "I'm not worried about myself. I'm worried about you and our boys. Even if I know you'll be okay or at least do everything in your power I'm still nervous." She said gently.

 

[Matreania]

Arthur looked at her, before leaning and kissing her lips, "The trip is safe and they will be fine. Everything will be perfectly fine."

Kara sighed and then smiled. "I know." She said with a sigh, kissing him once more. "Will you keep an open link with me when I go?" She asked him.

 

[Matreania]

Arthur smirked, "Always, my dear." he assured her as he sighed, standing up, "I will keep an eye on you while you are gone, too."

Kara grinned. "I know you will. Do you want me to leave soon?" She asked him.

 

[Matreania]

Arthur sighed, "I just have to check something before you go, so first light. Tonight we talk to the boys about they separation and I'll go talk with Kevin this evening. For now, I want to take a round, around the pack, just to make sure we have the time."

 

[FangAndOzy]

Kara nodded. "I will start to get things ready for when it's time while you make a round." She said.

 

[Matreania]

Arthur smirked as he leaned over and kissed her, "Everything will be fine as long as I know you are safe and the boys will be too. I will protect this pack for your return." he promised.

 

[FangAndOzy]

Kara smiled, though it was still worried. "I know you will. You're my mate and my very capable Alpha. I know you will solve this." She whispered. She placed her hands on either side of his face and rested her forehead against his. "And you'll be around to be here for the boys and me."

 

[Matreania]

Arthur smirked, "I am always with you, my love, no matter where I am or what is going on, I am always with you." he assured her.

Kara smiled a little and nodded. "As much as I don't want you to, you need to go. There is much work to be done." She said softly, pulling him to her for one more kiss. A kiss she sincerely hoped would not be their last.

 

[Matreania]

Arthur smirked, looking at Kara for a moment, "I'll be back for dinner, Kevin is going to bring Johnathan home and a member of the Elite will bring Wade, I will see you later." he said before he moved passed her and towards the door.

Kara smiled gently and nodded as he left. She let out a deep sigh. She was terrified of course but she trusted her mate. He was a good Alpha, and there was a reason for that.

 

[Matreania]

Kevin sighed as he looked away from the papers, he was making sure Johnathan was doing everything right but stopped to listen to Arthur. He nodded before he got up, he sighed, "Come on, Johnathan. This will have to wait." he said without an explanation, "We are going to learn something else right now."

Johnathan had finally been getting into a good rhythm and couldn't help groaning some as he got to his feet. "What else am I to learn today?" He asked, knowing he was supposed to get all of the paper work done.

Kevin started to move out of the room in a rush, "Hurry, Johnathan, there isn't time to explain." he said before he was out of the door and leaving the building, he needed to get to the Arena, a temple like place just outside of the pack.

Johnathan frowned but didn't argue or ask more questions. He knew it was serious by his tone and quickly rushed after him.

 

[Matreania]

When they reached the Arena, Kevin pulled back the sheets, the dust from the sheet he pulled was enough to make him cough. The place was old and pulling one sheet made them all fall like dominoes. The space was mostly empty, bookcases lined the walls to the very top with latter that rolled around the place/ Kevin moved towards the back, were there was a large empty room, with herbs, stones and other ritual items. He moved to the center before he stopped, looking at Johnathan, "Kneel."

Johnathan looked around in uncertainty and curiosity and then looked to Kevin. He hesitated a moment and then did as he was told. "What's going on?" He asked.

 

[Matreania]

Kevin sighed as he moved to the herbs, "This place is called the Arena, it used to be the the pack's center, when the packs started to form. You know a little about the history already. The many area, which contains the books, was used as a center for everything, knowledge and history that it taught to an Alpha and a Beta, is all contained in these walls." he sighed as he started to mix blood and oils with herbs he crunched, "Everything here, you are supposed to know and learn and I will teach you, but for now, there is a very important matter that has to be dealt with." he said before turning to Johnathan. he moved to stand in front of him, "Your brother is learning all the rituals and traditions of an Alpha and it is about time you learned what a Beta's place is. We are the brains, yes, where the Alpha is the heart. Your father protects this pack in many ways that you couldn't understand and does it all, when you don't believe he does. This is an Alpha's place, to protect the pack. But a Beta's is to protect the Alpha. You have to die for him, when you might not understand why and trust that it is for the best. Betas before you have given their lives for the Alpha, in ways that you don't learn by history." he paused as he placed the bowl he mixed everything in, in front of Johnathan, "You are feeling a pain, right? Your wolf is something you are losing control of. In this, is wolves ban, if you read what you should have, you know that a small amount in harmless. They are growing along this territory like the grass that surrounds the trees. Spread out so that they cause no harm, because the scent along, in large numbers can force us to turn without cause or well and lose control of our wolf. But to ingest this poison, can kill us within moments." he stood and motioned to the bowl, "The first death we face, for our Alpha is this. In there is oils and herbs, including wolves ban, mixed with the blood of an Alpha, with your brother's blood. Just being near it is painful, hard to breath and stay in control, but that is not where this ends. Before you leave this room, you will drink this mixture and possible die. The point of this, is to make your blood an antidote for wolves ban poisoning of your Alpha, do you understand?"

Johnathan listened though it was hard to keep his focus on Kevin when, indeed, his wolf form was itching to get out. To force him to turn. His skin itched like the fir was trying to poke out from just beneath the surface and there was a slight burning pain that accompanied it. He listened though, he forced himself to listen because this was his duty. No matter how often he and his brother fought and disagreed he loved Wade. He looked to the mixture and then back to Kevin. He was afraid but determined. "I understand," he said quietly, his voice gruff. "All I need to do is drink it right? For that to be a possibility. That is what I'm supposed to do now?" He asked.
