Fantasy Moonlight History [CLOSED]

Johnathan was careful to stay with Wade as they traveled. He did not want to get separated. His brother would make it to their grandparents perhaps, but he needed to make it too. He needed to be at his brother’s side.
they could keep up their pace for long periods of time and I’m doing so, they were able to cover a fair amount of ground. Getting closer and closer to their grandparents at the day turned to dusk and night grew close.

When light started, Wade stopped looking around he started to head a little, but walked to find a clearing. They were just a few miles away from the boarder. He sighed at a clearing. "We will wait here." He said as he sat down and looking around like he expected to find something.

Kevin stopped as they exit the pack territory and looked back at his Luna. She was impressive keeping up with him but they needed a break. He smirked at her, "We will rest here for a few minutes." He announced.

Johnathan watched Wade curiously but also tried to keep his attention on their surroundings just in case anything came that they didn’t want. When Wade spoke and sat down, Johnathan turned his attention to his brother. He nodded and went to sit beside him. “What are you looking for?” He asked with a slight, confused frown.

Kara looked for Kevin and smirked a little. She was powerful in her own right, she had impressive endurance and could keep up with the best of them. But she also wasn’t one of the elite and she had more limits than they did. She probably could have kept going for a time, but she wasn’t going to argue the brief rest. After all there was always a possibility that this would be their only chance to regain a little strength. “Sounds good to me.” She said to Kevin, stretching her arms as she looked back the way they came. She understood her mate, she understood why affection wasn’t something he cared for and she knew he had a plan. It didn’t mean that she didn’t wish he would have held her a little longer or that she wasn’t worried for him or their boys all the same. She couldn’t help it. She loved all of them more than her own life and she would do anything for them. She turned her attention forward again to the direction of their destination. Eyes and ears open for danger.

Wade turned to Jonathan, "I'm looking for the mountain path. They are near the Mountain pack so obviously that's where we have to go. But we have to be careful. Mountain wolves are not friendly to other wolves and they are a lot bigger then up." He explained. "We still can't even get a conversation with their Beta Born. So we have to be careful not to meet them. Or we might not reach our grandparents."

Kevin motioned her to seat, "Seat." He said as he looked around. "I'll keep an eye out so you can relax." He assured her.

Johnathan frowned some, turning his gaze to look around them. He had know relations with the Libya in wolves were tricky, but he hadn’t realized this part of their little journey.

Kara smirked some and took a seat, her gaze remaining on Kevin a moment. “You know I am tougher than I look. Though I appreciate your concern for my well-being, don’t worry about my husband too much.” She said, amused. She understood his desire was in large part because of her position and relationship to the Alpha, but she wasn’t entirely helpless.

Wade sighed as he turned to his brother, "Don't look so worried. We haven't left the territory yet. I had to slow down because you were struggling to keep up. Our biggest concern now is still shifters."

Kevin looked to Kara, "I hate to sound rude. But you aren't a match for what we are facing. You aren't much of a match for a lot of things that require us to call on Alpha Garrett. It's not the Alpha I am worried about. If you are killed there is no anger towards me. But I was raised without a mother of my own and just the fact that you aren't taking this serious is an example of why I can't take advise from a wolf that has not know War most if not all her live. Under orders from the Alpha, I will do my part to help you help the pack but as beta my concern is for my alpha alone. I never said it because we became friends but you are of no importance to a beta and that is clear in our pack. Maybe if it was to yours, alpha Garrett wouldn't have gotten more from them then they wanted us to take." He didn't want to be rude but she misunderstood his concern and her role to him. And when it comes to war, he know that it was best no misunderstanding was between allies.

It took everything Johnathan had not to snarl. “You could have just left me behind. I’m sure it crossed your mind. You probably thought about how you could be there by now if not for me.” He said, his tone light and giving the impression he wouldn’t have cared. Though truthfully he would have. He was looking around them, keeping an eye out for unwanted guests.

Kara smirked a little and nodded her understanding. While it didn’t cross her mind now, it was likely why she and Johnathan were so close. Neither belonged to this pack except by relation to Garett. Though she loved both her sons dearly. She got to her feet and motioned the way they were traveling. “We best not waste more time.” She said. Her eyes were bright, she was ready to move. She may not be a war wolf but she was not entirely useless to this pack either. For her husband this task would be completed.

Wade shrugged, "True. But father would have known I left you behind and then we would have to find a new beta." He sighed for a moment before getting to his feet."Okay. Let's go."

Kevin sighed, "If you want. We have to get to the next pack. It's a short trip from here. If we....." Kevin paused as he heard something moving towards them. He growled at the direction before Jonathan rushed out and ran to his mother. But the boys couldn't have caught up with them. So Kevin moved towards Jonathan with eyes to kill.

"Mother! Help!" Jonathan cried. "They got Wade. They are after me."

Johnathan snorted and then got to his feet with his brother, ready to go. “Oh please, like father doesn’t already have someone else picked out.” He muttered under his breath. He froze for a moment, thinking he heard something, his attention was pulled to the woods. He frowned and looked around and then moved to follow Wade.

“Jon...” she breathed. Kara knew it wasn’t her baby. She knew it wasn’t her son and she knew Garett had gone over with the boys the precautions to be taken. Her heart still leapt in her chest, her motherly instincts kicking in. It took everything in her not to stop Kevin from charging Johnathan. She knew it wasn’t him. She had to keep telling herself it wasn’t him. She heard another sound, coming from behind somewhere. She spun, her eyes flashing as she tried to pinpoint the sound. She was itching to run to the shifter. Every fiber in her being screaming to go protect her baby.

Wade raised an eyebrow to his brother, "You know he hears you right?" He stated and the sighed. "The fact that you actually believe he wants you to fail is the reason that he doesn't show much interest in you. You already think you know father. No point in him showing you. But think about it, now is the perfect chance to replace you without repercussions. But instead he sent you on a mission that could hurt the pack. Kevin could have come and brought our grandparents back easily. Do you know the level of faith he has to have in us to send us instead of any number of wolves that can switch to war wolf mind sets in an instant. Grow up Jonathan, this is why I will be alpha. You would cause the pack to loose its way if you had been born first." He lectured as he walked ahead and then stopped turning to Jonathan, "You are so pessimistic. Why not see things as they are. He doesn't like you as beta and yet has never challenged or tried to force you out of the position. So for at least this trip can you act like you are a beta and keep you comments for later."

Jonathan reached Kara first and wrapped his arms around her before Kevin could reach him. "Help me, mother." He jumped, "They are here." He said holding her tighter.

Kevin stopped looking around and sighed, he knew killing this one now would only be trouble. He had to find the one around them and kill it before killing this one.

Johnathan opened his mouth to speak, he had plenty to say about everything going on, but for this time he nodded a little. He had plenty to say later. For now he would try to do what his brother asked and keep his comments to himself. It was hard though, he was pessimistic, especially when it came to his family. He clenched his jaw a little and let out a deep breath through his nose. “Fine, I’ll keep my comments to myself for now.” He agreed. It was obvious he had plenty to keep to himself as he tried not to say them in that moment. He nodded ahead, motioning for them to go.

Kara had been keeping her attention on the other movement she had heard. She had sensed Johnathan...the shifter...coming but had turned just a moment too late. He was holding her with enough strength that it was making it hard to breath. Kara knew this wasn’t her child, but this was still hard. She placed her hands on his shoulders as if to push him off, her nails elongated into wicked claws that she knew she was going to have to use. “Let go of me.” She snarled, her eyes flashing. She was also trying to keep an eye on Kevin so she didn’t lose track of him and mistake him for one of the shifters.

Wade nodded as he kept walking, last thing that he wanted was to deal with his brother's whining on this trip. Wade lead the way, he knew they had a little way to go, but he was sure that they were getting to the point that they needed to.

Th shifter growled before digging his claws into Kara, "Well, aren't you a bad mother. I'll keep that in mind when I kill your son." he snapped as he forced her down, pushing his claws deeper into her. Kevin moved to stop him, but was just swift enough to dodge another Shifter that moved to slice at him. He growled as the shifter turned to him, it was not going to be easy, but he had to deal with this shifter before the shifter latched onto Kara sliced her too deep for them to move on or her survival.

Johnathan followed Wade silently after that. He had questions...well mostly worried about everything that was going on and to happen. But he didn’t speak up.

Kara let out something between a snarl and a yelp as the shifter dug it’s claws into her. Her eyes blazed with anger and she brought her own clawed hand up. It wasn’t her baby. She knew that. But she found herself repeating it over and over. Especially as she thrust her clawed hand up into him, digging it deep into his flesh. She kept pushing, kept digging and twisting her hand. The other continued to try to push him away.

the shifted going after Kyle was relentless. It was going to keep him away from Kara at all costs. Unwilling to lose. For sure if they killed the Alpha’s mate, they would bring down the Aloha and be able to over come the pack.
