I was envisioning it to look a lot like Alfea College from Winx Club. That show was my jam as a kid and I immediately thought of it when thinking of the school in this rp.

Since Veridia's mom still has connections from her days of magical girl-hood, I like to believe that she just has all these informants constantly updating her on Veridia's lackluster performances at the school. She's like "of course my failure of a daughter is screwing up, why couldn't any of my other kids have gotten powers? >:/"

Speaking of, this whole time I've kind of been imagining the school as a pseudo-slave to the government in regards to how they get funding. Like, they're super high tech and cool but also they have to justify literally everything they do to whatever government board is in charge in order to get any funding for anything.
