Realistic or Modern Medieval Europe

The knight led Greg down the muddy pathway. He could smell the faint scent of smoke drifting towards him, and he assumed they were getting close. Soon enough, a log house came into view, with smoke erupting from the wooden chimney. The knight held a serious expression on his face as he came up to the door. He glanced at Greg before knocking softly. His hand rested on the hilt of his sword, just in case this person was a threat.

The man heard the knock at the door. He didn't get any visitors out here, but then again there wasn't English around here then a batch of them showed up near his house. He approached the door, club in one hand. He opened the door slowly, and only enough for him to see a man in white and a guy in leather and plated armor. He let out a grunt. "What you want?"

"What you want?"

A large man with a club in hand cracked open a part of the door, his facial expression serious. The knight cleared his throat and nodded respectively, taking his hand off the hilt of his sword.

"Bonjour, monsieur. We come under the orders of the king and queen. The princess has been recently kidnapped by Englishmen. We are looking for her." The knight decided coming straight out with it was the best decision. This man was obviously French, and didn't seem to be much of a threat.

He opened the door just enough to reveal the bed with a girl laying on it. "Found with English. Thought she needs help." He grunted.

Greg pushed by them both.
"It's her." He said his normal accent.

The big man clubbed him.
"English hurt her." He said holding up the club.

"Easy now." The knight interjected as Greg stepped forward. The man recognized the prince's English accent. The knight stepped in front of him and raised his hands to show they meant no harm.

"He follows the king and queen. He is not a threat." The knight's eyes wandered to Adelisa laying on the bed, blood and dirt streaked against her pale complexion. Her breathing was slow and steady. The only thing that looked bad, was the open arrow wound in her shoulder. Blood dripped onto the log floor because of it.

"May we step inside?" The knight asked the man calmly.

"Only you, no English." He said stepping out of the way for the knight. As soon as Greg tried to step, the man closed the door in front of him. He didn't like English people.

Greg stood there awestruck, did that big ape just shut the door in his face.

The knight flashed Greg a confused look, before the big man slammed the door straight in his face. This man seemed to be quite stubborn. Stepping towards the princess, he knelt down beside her and inspected the wound carefully. It was infected, and the poison still lingered in her veins. The knight's expression became worried. They were too far to go back to the castle now, especially in the princess's condition. She wouldn't make it. The knight stood up, nodding towards the door.

"I promise you the Englishman outside is not like the others. He might have some supplies I can use to heal her. Please let him in."

The man grunted. He walked over to the door and opened it.

Greg walked in and stood over the bed. He saw the wound and how bad it was. "Damn."He said before walking over to the other side of the knight. He took a small drip of the poison that was on her skin. He put it in his mouth and tasted it before spitting it into the fire. "This guy knows his poison, Big man do you have any kingsfoil and some ginger?"

The man grunted and walked over to a cabinet. He grabbed the Kingsfoil and some Ginger. He walked over and handed it to Greg.

Greg first ground up the ginger, and poured it over the wound. He then put the kingsfoil in his mouth and chewed it a little. He spit it out of his mouth and put it on the cut.
"This isn't a cure, but it will counter the poison enough to get her to the castle."

The knight nodded calmly, thanking the large man for his services in French.

"Your horse is closer then mine. Leave me behind and get Adelisa to the castle as fast as you can." The knight said quickly, opening the wooden door for Greg.

"I will see you at the castle, monsieur."

Greg nodded before putting Adelisa on his shoulder and dead sprinted towards his horse. She was still where he tied her up. He put her near the horse's neck and got up. He spurred her, and they were off. He passed the big boulder, and into the Paris he rode. When he arrived at the castle he didn't stop. They opened the door to the throne room. He trotted in and jumped off the horse. He grabbed Adelisa and ran her up to her room. "You're majestie's I have brought her back, but she needs your best doctors now."

The king and queen were waiting impatiently for Greg to return. As soon as they heard the entrance to the castle open, the king and queen immediately walked towards them. Leon was relieved, but Adelisa's wounds looked fatal, which did not ease his worries.

"I will get Louis and Malice." A maid next to the king said, running down the marble hallway and into a room. Almost automatically, a man and a woman ran out with the maid behind them. Louis took the princess from Greg's arms, and sped up to her room. Laying her gently on the bed, the two doctors began working frantically to bring the princess to a safe state. The king and queen followed the doctors up to the room, watching them work silently.

"Will she be alright?" Eloise asked in a quiet voice, watching Malice wipe the dirt and blood off of Adelisa's skin gently.

"Yes, she will be alright. She just needs a few days to heal." The woman responded while continuing to clean the blood away. The king glanced over to Greg and smiled.

"We will speak later. For now, get some rest. There is a room a few doors down you can use." Leon led Greg out of the room, directing him down the hallway.

Greg nodded. "As you wish my lord."He said as he turned to walk down the hallway. He entered the right room and walked in. The room was nice, there were marble floors and a nice bed. There was a small seat in the corner. He took of the Plate armor and leather armor and put them on the chair. He walked over to the bed and fell down. He was exhausted to say the least.

(I'm going to skip a few days in advanced because I have no idea what to do right now xD )

"Are you sure you wish to stand, madame? Malice recommended you rest a day more." The maid, Ambre, began nervously, watching the French princess dangle her legs over the side of the large bed. Adelisa chuckled calmly, waving Ambre's words away.

"Relax, Ambre. I can't stay another day in this room even if I tried. Besides," The princess slid to her feet, letting out a sigh as if standing made her feel alive again. The maid began to undo the back of Adelisa's nightgown.

"I want to feel the sun again. It has been too long." The maid listened as Adelisa spoke, folding the nightgown on the dresser before preparing the princess's dress. Slipping the dress onto her body, Ambre buttoned the back along the princess's spine. Adjusting the beautiful silver dress, Ambre stood back and placed a hand over her heart.

"It's absolutely breathtaking. Your mother made the right choice." The maid smiled, watching as Adelisa began to brush out her long pink hair. When both the women were finished, the maid led the princess out of her room, and down the white marble staircase. Running her hand along the railing for support, Adelisa spotted her brother speaking to a few guards. Seeing the princess, they stopped mid sentence as they watched her arrive at the end of the staircase. The king faced his sister, a big smile forming on his face.

"Adelisa! You are doing better, and you look beautiful." Leon began walking towards her, with the guards behind him. Ambre still held the princess's arm, since Adelisa was still not fully healed yet. The poison was gone, but it had weakened her immune system, causing her to be fragile and in need of assistance.

Geoff was in the room with the king and Adelisa. He was happy to see she was walking around. "Mon, ma madame. Il est bon de vous voir en place une marche?" (My, my madam. It's good to see you up and walking?) He said with the biggest grin across his face. "For a moment you scared me."

The princess looked up as Greg spoke to her, a soft smile forming on her lips.

"If it wasn't for you, I don't even think I would be here, monsieur." She murmured in a light tone. Adelisa took a few more steps towards the prince, her smile broadening.

"And I haven't thanked you properly yet, have I." Ambre let go of her arm, standing behind them and leaning on the railing. Leon, with a wicked grin on his face, began chattering noisily with the guards as the two spoke with each other.

"I heard you ran into an English camp by yourself... One of the knights said they were about to kill you, yes?" The French princess outstretched her hand, and ran a finger across the half healed wound across his neck.

"Yes, I did, but I had a debt to repay for you getting me a meeting with your brother." Greg said as he his hand on her's to stop her from reopening the wound. "Fortunately, they would have killed me if it was for your brother sending a few of his knights to follow me.... I can tell you more if you would want to hear in the garden."

The princess's lips parted slightly as he gripped her hand for a second, letting it linger there. A faint blush appeared on her face as he gently let go.

"I would like that. I have been in my room for days." She said softly, following him out into the garden. Adelisa's head began to throb, aching harder and harder each time. She gripped his wrist gently for support, leaning on hims slightly.

"I'm sorry... I was not supposed to be out of my room for another day. My immune system is still weak from the poison." Adelisa looked a bit embarrassed, and chuckled nervously.

(Have you changed his name to Geoff by the way?)

(Sorry, I have three Rp's with Names that sound so close. I have a Geoff, a Greg and and a Gregory. If I mess them up don't worry about it.)

Greg embraced her as best he could. "No problem... Anytime." He put his hand around her to hold her up. "Anyway. Yesterday it was pouring out, and I heard someone scream. By that time you were gone... Your brother armed me, and they sent me on the way. I had to take a chance on where you were... I followed one path and found a encampment of English knights. They captured you. I Tied a horse that your brother was kind enough to give me. After that I walked out. I asked them what they were doing. They half captured me and were about to kill me... A nearby hunter walked in and grabbed you and brought you to his hut.... Then out of nowhere an arrow whizzed by and the man that had his blade to my throat in the side. A french knight and his troops took out the english knights. After that we found the guy who had taken you to the cabin. He let the knight in but slammed the door in my face. After I put some Kingsfoil and ginger in your wound. After that I brought you here, and they took it from there."

(It's alright, mate! No worries xP)

The princess listened to his story, a bit shocked and curious as he spoke. She laughed quietly when he told of the big man in the cabin. He sounded like quite the character.

"Wow. It's hard to believe I was unconscious through all of that." The light in her eyes began to dim as a thought appeared in her head. She was silent for a moment or two. Opening her mouth, she avoided his gaze.

"You said it was English knights that had captured me," They continued walking, her expression emotionless.

"I feel a camp full of English knights would not send someone to capture me for no reason... Did your father have something to do with this?"
Her icy gaze now looked to him.

Gregory was not happy about what he was going to say. "Yeah he did. He put a bounty on your head."Greg said. He wasn't happy with his father about putting a bounty on someone who was innocent. "I didn't like that. It angers me that he did something like that."

Jean-Pierre Bellerose viewed his surroundings as his horse neared the stable, keeping the hood on his head for warmth. His long, dark cloak draped over his back and rested on the dark brown horse's back as well, the excess cloth piling up but readjusting itself with every movement. Jean dismounted as he arrived at the stables, shortly speaking to the people there before leaving after his horse had been taken in. He peered around at the city of Paris as he walked inside of the gates, watching the dense crowd for a bit while moving forward. The white cross on his chest displayed itself ever so often when the cloak would move a bit out of the way, catching a view or two from surrounding people. Jean finally rested on a bench near a large cathedral, smiling under his hood as he admired the building.

The princess felt her breath lessen, as if trapped in a cage with no windows. Her delicate fingers had grown clammy, beads of sweat forming tiny puddles in her palm.

"My... My brother," She began, her voice wavering like a radio struggling to secure a signal. Her feet stopped in their place. Adelisa stared forward with glazed eyes, seeming to be lost in another world for a moment or two.

"If Leon finds out about this... He will never let me outside again." Her body became rigid with shock. Every bone in her body ached slowly. The medicine she had taken earlier must be taking its toll.

"My mother was right... She knew this war would blow way out of proportion. To the point where I would have a bounty on my head." The princess's lips parted slightly, letting out air that had been trapped inside. Her hand slipped off from Greg's side, and fell limp.

"I need to talk to your father."

Gregory felt her hand fall. "No you're not going to talk to my father... I am." He said walking her over to the bench that was nearby. "If you go to England then he will most likely kill you... I need you here to expect a letter. I will write you after I deal with my father." Greg was gonna have to something no son should ever do. Rise up against his father. He didn't want this to happen, but if it meant ensure his country was taken care of, then he would do it.

Adelisa suddenly left her world, and returned to reality after hearing his words. Her eyes grew worrisome. She knew how stubborn his father was. How obsessed he had become with this war. The thought of Greg standing up against his father, in a time like this, scared her.

"Greg, no. Take me with you. I can't sit here and do nothing while you are out there standing up to your father alone." She turned fully towards him now while sitting down on the bench. The princess was not begging for Greg to take him with her. No. She was tired of being able to do nothing, while her brother dealt with everything that was going on. It made her sick.

Gregory shook his head. "I'm sorry but I can't... This is something that I must take care of by myself."Gregory didn't like leaving her here, but it was the only way to make sure that she was alright. He stood up. "The thought of you getting hurt is a thought..."He shivers. "Is a thought that I would shiver at... I promise you I will return to you, but I want you to stay here, for your safety, and to keep my mind at ease."
