Realistic or Modern Medieval Europe

Gregory decided that these people weren't interesting him. "Au revoir." (Goodbye) He said in french. He made his way down the marketplace. He couldn't help but notice a young women. "Bonjour , voulez-vous un peu d'aide avec qui?" (hello, would you like some help with that?) He asked in french. Being in enemy territory, he had to fit in and speak french. He was talking about all the things that she was carrying.

he walks up to them and stares lightly and hand the boys and hands him a bag. and whisper to him " don't open it til mid-night" he walks away quitely and into the shadows.

Amalie noticed another woman. A member of the French royal family. Amalie then remembered why she was sent here. She needed to renew Germany's alliance with France. Their treaty had expired and if they didn't renew their vows to eachother, they could end up in a war against eachother.

"Bonjour, voulez-vous un peu d'aide avec qui?"

A man's voice behind her asked in French, startling her slightly. Turning herself towards him, her glowing icy gaze stared into his. He also wore a hood, concealing his face partly. Strangely, this man looked familiar, but the princess could not figure out why. Flashing him a white smile, she nodded.

"Si, vous n'y voyez pas d'inconvénient." (If you don't mind) Adelisa outstretched her delicate hand to his, and slid the bag of apples and vegetables into his grasp. Motioning for him to follow, she turned her back to him and began to weave herself around the townsfolk passing by.

"What is your name?" Adelisa asked, her accent flooding into her English words. A few people next to her recognized her shadowed face, and called out to her in greeting:

"Bonjour, madame LaBelle!"

Smiling back, the princess waved and returned the friendly greeting before turning back to the man.

(I forgot to mention in the CS, Amalie is secretly part of the German royal family. So Adelisa might recognize her.)

Amalie walked up to the French catle where she was greeted by French Guards. "I've come here to renew Germany's vows with France." Amalie told the guards as they let her through. She then walked up into the castle and began walking through the hallways to the king and queen.

"Il me fera plaisir, madame." (It would be my pleasure madam.) He said in a french accent. He took the bag from her, and hung it from his back. "Pardon, Madame. Ca ce était quoi?"(Excuse me Madame. What was that?) He had to keep up the appearance that he was just a french citizen. France and England were at war, and he was a prince. If he said that he was a part of the English Royalty then they would capture him and make England give up on the war.

the boy had snuck into the castle to warn them. he notices some one had just got into the castle so he runs ahead of them and hands them the note. " you must warn them." he says staring at them.

John watched as a man walked past him and offered a noblewoman assistance carrying produce. Shrugging, he walked past them, heading for the main castle. He was looking to gather support to retake the kingdom in England he had be exiled from, and the French seemed to be the best bet.

"Wait, Warn them about what?" Amalie shouted at the man who randomly gave her a note.

(Okay. Once you meet with the King and Queen, I will roleplay them)

The soft sounds of feet echoed in the huge French castle, catching King Leon and Queen Eloise's attention. Two guards appeared in the two rulers view, accompanying a knight that walked down the red velvet carpet to their throne. Leon squinted suspiciously, recognizing the knight as one of Germany's royal family members. A white guard next to the king whispered something into his ear, easing Leon's suspicious. Seeming to be more relaxed now, the French king nodded and turned his head towards the knight.

"State your business, knight." Queen Eloise seemed to beat her husband to it, her green gaze stern and strangely calm.

The man proceeded to speak in French, asking what the multiple greetings with the locals were. Laughing quietly, she stopped with her back turned towards him.

"I'm assuming you are not from around here, yes?" Her voice suddenly became stern, unsheathing her sword, she shoved him into an alleyway and dug the tip of her sword into his throat. The alleyway was extremely dark, concealing the two royals who now stood there. The hood on Adelisa's head had fallen, resting on the back of her neck. The princess glared at the royal, digging the sword further into his skin.

"Our countries are in a bloody war, and you, a royal Englishman, has to decided to risk coming into my brother's country? What were you thinking?" Adelisa exclaimed, dropping the sword from his neck and sheathing it back into her belt.

(( the note said: be careful there is a assasin coming to kill you and an army is about to strike. i know because in my travels i heard talk of it -the shadow walker))

"Well, The main reason I came here is to renew our Vows between our two countries. Germany and France." Amalie said. "Oh, and some weird person told me to give you this. Amalie said stepping up and handing them the note that was given to her.

"Shit." Greg has been made. "I thought that there could be some way for this bloody war to end... Diplomatically." He said in english. He dropped the mask. There was a scar going across his jawline. "As a princess of france, you want the best for your people... I can see it in the way you act towards your citizens." He placed his on a dagger. He only did that so if she drew her sword then he would be ready. "Right now both my country men and your's are fighting and dying, in this country... My father is too stubborn to realize that this isn't what our countries need, but I can see that this can't end well for both our countries."

The Queen eyed the note, outstretching her jewelry-covered fingers and gently taking the slip of paper. Flipping it open, Eloise scanned her leaf green eyes over the black printed words.

"The Shadow Walker?" The Queen whispered, handing the note to her husband, who seemed to be slightly confused by it. Giving it to the knight next to him, the King looked down sternly at the woman.

"Who gave you this?" He demanded, before taking a few steps down from his throne, and in front of Amalie. Both the King and Queen seemed to be more alert then before. The Queen, stepping down next to her husband, rested a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"Forget the note for now, Leon. We have more important business to deal with." She whispered to him, watching Leon relax under her touch. Looking at her and nodding, the King cleared his throat and motioned for the guards to give them privacy.

"Let us renew our vows then, knight."

Adelisa's icy gaze calmed more, and her composure towards Greg became less tense. He had not presented himself as a threat, but even so, he was an enemy of her brother's, and he was trespassing into their country.

"Yes. You're father is quite stubborn. My brother does not want this war to continue anymore then you do. Both of our countries are falling to pieces, and honestly, because of our positions in both our families, there is not much we can say to end it. This is between my brother, and your father. So please, prince, tell me the real reason why you are here. I am not going to turn you in, but I hope you realize how much I am risking by speaking with you here." The princess said quietly.

Gregory sighed. "I left my family because they are rich, pompous asses. I couldn't stand them anymore... I love them, but can't stand them at the same time.I tried to teach my brother how to be caring. My family is sending men to fight and die, and I couldn't stand being around them. So I left." He said taking his hand off of his dagger. "They are a lost cause so I thought I could convince your brother to end this war."

"Well. Actually. Princess. Princess Amalie of Germany." She told them bowing in respect. She only told royal families that she was a princess. She wasn't to much of a fan for being popular among citizens. She then nodded and began to renew there vows. She took out a scroll that was the contract of the alliance. Every several years they had to renew this contract.

(Well. I'm in the French castle renewing the vows of Germany and France.)

(In my terms, where would the best place be to put Miraak? Probably a tavern, if there is one.)

Listening intently, Adelisa's blue eyes softened as she listened to Greg's words. Her delicate hand fell from the handle of her sword, sitting limply by her side. Untying her cloak and folding it over her arm, she turned her back to the prince.

"If you wish counsel with my brother, you've found the right person. I can't guarantee you can stay in our castle for a few nights, but I will speak with my brother and see what I can do." The princess murmured, flashing him a kind expression.

"Do you have a horse, monsieur?"

"Ah. Excuse me, Princess Amalie. I failed to recognize you." King Leon said, flashing her a small smile before taking the scroll gently from her grasp. Sitting down on his throne, he slipped a pair of glasses onto his nose and looked down at the ancient paper. Reading the terms slowly and quietly, he dipped the tip of his quill into a bottle of ink when finished, and swiped his name across at the bottom. Handing the scroll to his wife, Eloise also signed quickly, and presented the scroll back to Amalie.

"Tell your father we give his thanks. Is there anything else you need?"

(Always in the time of Chivalry.)

Miraak was in the tavern sitting down. People were asking him questions like why he wore the mask and such. "Let's just say, never get in a fight with me," was one of them. Or, "I will not tell you." He had a cup in his hand and was drinking some water about every minute.
