Realistic or Modern Medieval Europe

Her icy gaze dropped from his, and she nodded.

"Okay... If it keeps your mind at ease." She murmured, rising to her feet slowly. The medicine caused her knees to shake, and chills to run down her spine. It was filtering all remaining poison in her veins.

"When will you be leaving, monsieur?" The princess asked, swiveling her head to look at the prince. A tint of sadness flooded her icy hues, causing them to look bluer then normal. She took a small step towards him, her face beginning to grow pale.

Gregory saw that she needed some help standing, rushed over to her side and wrapped his arm around her waist. "If it will cheer you up. I will leave tomorrow. I was planning on leaving tonight, but I will stay for the night, and make my leave tomorrow."He said walking her back inside. He could feel the way her knees were shaking.

The princess felt a gentle arm wrap around her waist, causing her to lean into Greg a bit more then before.

"Please. I would like that more." She whispered, her voice beginning to grow softer and softer. She almost felt the medicine working through her, and it was overwhelming. She felt herself become drowsy, but refused to let herself drift off. Greg would not be here for long. She didn't want to waste any time.

Greg walked her back into the big castle. He walked her into the giant throne room. "What would you like to do?"He asked her. He was up for anything because he wasn't going to be there for a long. "We can sit and talk. We can go on a horse ride into town, or maybe even head into town and check out a what's new."

The princess smiled at him, resting her head on his shoulder.

"I would like to take a ride into town, but because of the medicine I took this morning, I'm far too tired. I don't want to fall asleep on you." She let out a small sigh, wishing she had waited on taking the medicine.

"I'm sorry. I hope you don't mind, monsieur." Adelisa felt her eyes begin to flutter shut, a soft breath escaping her lips.

"No I don..." Was all Greg could say before he took a majority of her weight on. "That was unexpected."He said as he held her in both his arms. He walked up to her room with her in his hands. When he reached her room he put her in her bed. He walked over to the other side of the bed and sat down on the chair that was over there.

After what seemed like a few hours, the French princess's icy eyes blinked open slowly. Her head pounded from the medicine she had taken earlier. Putting a hand on her head, she sat up in her bed, glancing around the room. Her eyes settled on Greg, who seemed to be drifting off. With a small smile, Adelisa slid off her bed and padded over to Greg. She placed a warm hand on his shoulder, and shook him gently.

"Greg... Greg." She continued to shake him until he woke. When his eyes met hers, she smiled warmly.

"I'm sorry I fell asleep on you." She murmured, seeming to be a bit embarrassed about it.

Gregory's eyes slowly opened to see Adelisas eyes. He had never really noticed them that much. He put his hand on hers. "And I am sorry as well for falling asleep on you."He said getting up. "So now that you had a nice little nap, is there anything you want to go do?" He asked, taking a step closer to her.

Adelisa stood up as well, watching him take a step closer to her. Her delicate hand was still entwined with his.

"Well, we could go into town..." She murmured, her voice dropping to a whisper as she took a step closer to him.

"Or take the horses out..." The princess took another small step closer, her piercing eyes staring straight into his. Her hand tightened around his slightly.

(Can someone give me a head up on whether Amalie is still in the garden?)

(She is not she might be woozy, Some more time might pass.)

Gregory took another step closer to her. "We could... But I don't think that's what you want." Greg said bring his face close towards the Adelisa. "Plus I think I can think of one thing that you guys might like." He said with a slight grin on his face.

(After Amalie got stabbed, the guards took her into heal. She should be in her room with one of the doctors. The two doctors names are Malice and Louis. You can roleplay one of them if you want :D )

"We could... But I don't think that's what you want."

Her breath caught in her throat as he leaned forward, bringing his face closer to hers. They were only a mere inch or two apart now. The princess took another small step forward, her delicate frame now pressed against him. She grinned too, her lips hovering near his, but not touching.

"We could stay here... And take the horses out later.." Her voice was a whisper now.

"Oh... And what would we do here?" He said before he got an idea. He leaned forward and kissed her.

Adelisa slid her hand to the side of his face, deepening the kiss after a few seconds. Her heart began racing as the two stood there together. She had never felt such a feeling before. The princess's face grew hot, her pale complexion blushing slightly.

Gregory put his hands around her waist. He lifted her up, still kissing her and laid her on the bed.

(My thoughts exactly.)

Gregory was laying in Adelisa's bed with Adelisa's head laying on Gregory's chest. He was breathing heavy. "You French... women.. Know how to... have some... real fun." He said after running his hand through her hair.

Adelisa shivered as he ran a hand through her hair, making the princess stare up at him with a smirk. She leaned closer to him and stole another kiss.

"It's too bad you're leaving so soon, mon amour." She murmured before sliding a hand across the side of his face. She planted a soft trail of kisses down his neck, biting her lip as she began to pull away. She opened her mouth to say something more, but someone began knocking quietly on her door.

"Madame? Your brother wishes to speak with you." The small voice of Ambre said from behind the door, making the princess look up curiously.

"I'll be out in a moment!" Adelisa called back, flashing the prince laying next to her a longing look before pulling herself away. She slid off the edge of her bed, and began getting dressed.

"So, prince," She began, a smile appearing on her face as she turned towards him.

"Have you spoken to my brother yet?"

He smiled down at her. "But I will return, and when I do I hope we can pick up where we left off." He said getting out of the bed. He put all his clothes on before answering her. "Fortunately enough, I did... That is the reason I am going back to england. The only way to stop this war is for england to have a new ruler put into the ranks of king." He said tying the straps of leather together.

"Fortunately enough, I did... That is the reason I am going back to England. The only way to stop this war is for England to have a new ruler put into the ranks of king."

The princess stopped what she was doing for a moment, and then continued. A smile appeared on her pink lips as she buttoned the top of her dress.

"You will make a great king, Greg." She murmured, beginning to brush the ends of her long hair. It was morning, the birds singing their tunes as the sun began to rise. It saddened the princess that tonight Greg would be leaving. She didn't know for how long, but she guessed it would be a while.

Gregory smiled at her. He was the oldest of his siblings, so he was the one that got first choice to be king. "And who knows. Maybe when I get back you could be my queen." He said half heartedly. He was serious about it, but didn't want to give her any ideas.

"Maybe."

Adelisa repeated, flashing him a small smile before padding towards the door. Her delicate hand gripped the gold rimmed handle, turning it slowly. Pushing the door open, she stopped and glanced behind her at the prince.

"Call for Ambre if you need anything. I'll be back soon." And with that, the French princess slid past the door, and disappeared around the corner. The door began to close by itself, creaking quietly.

Walking down the last step of the marble staircase, Adelisa proceeded down the hallway towards the throne room. Armor clattered and footsteps echoed around her as she passed guards and maids alike. The castle appeared to be lively today. She wasn't sure why. Two knights guarding the throne room greeted her in French as she strode in. Her brother sat on his throne, a golden crown bejeweled with rubies and sapphires atop his head. Hearing the soft footsteps, the king looked up from the scroll he was reading, and smiled at his sister.

"Good morning, Adelisa. Sleep well?" He asked before scanning his eyes over a few words on the scroll. Adelisa nodded, taking a few steps closer to him.

"Very well. Now, what was it you wanted to speak with me about?" Leon set the scroll down and rose from his seat. Folding his hands behind his back, the king wandered towards one of the windows, and stared at the forest below.

"Greg has informed me that his father has put a high bounty on your head." He began, beginning to pace back and forth slowly. The silence was intimidating, and Adelisa grew more and more curious by the minute. She nodded curtly, prepared to respond back, but the king raised a hand to quiet her.

"He's made a dangerous move... And it frightens me a bit. I feel you and Greg have grown quite closer over the course of these past few days," Adelisa's stomach began to churn. She didn't like where this was going.

"Leon... What are you-"

"I can't risk you getting hurt, Adelisa. I can see the way you look at him. In a time like this, falling for an enemies son, especially the king of England's son, is not something I will allow." His voice began to rise now as he saw how angry his sister had become. Adelisa stared at the floor for a second, trying to take in every word one at a time.

"You can't do this."

"I can, Adelisa, and I am going to. This is not the right time and place for love. You and I both know it. You have to understand what kind of risk I am at just having Greg here at the castle. Once he leaves, I want you to consider other... Options."

"Options?!" She spat, her fists beginning to ball up.

"Yes. Options. There are several other princes in this world that desire your hand, Adelisa. But the prince of England... If his father finds out about this, that his son has fallen for a French princess, I will not be surprised if he never lets Greg see you again." The king growled, watching Adelisa take a few more steps towards him.

"How dare you! You cannot make me do such a thing." The princess snarled, her aggression beginning to get to her head. Two knights walked up behind her, roughly grabbing her arms and holding Adelisa back from Leon.

"I'm sorry, Adelisa... One day, you will understand." Was all the princess heard, before a sharp pain poked her neck, and blackness swirled into her vision.

After a few hours Greg had gathered all his things. It was weird, he hadn't seen Adelisa since she had got to talk to her brother. Greg didn't know what she could have been doing, but it must have been important, because she was gone. Greg gathered his things from the room that the king was so kind enough to give him.

He walked out the door and down the hall towards the throne room. He noticed the king. "I thank you for your hospitality. I must make haste and hurry back to England. I will write you when I have taken the throne and we will take about ending this war." He said bowing to the king. "And tell Adelisa I say goodbye." He said before bowing again.

After that he made way out the door and onto the horse that the king had given him. He got onto the horse and made his way to the coast.

The king turned as the prince of England entered the throne room. All of his things were in hand, including the things Leon had lent him. Smiling, the king bowed back.

"Have a safe journey, monsieur. I will let her know." He responded, watching Greg head back down the hallway, and leave through the entrance. Leon's eyes grew sad, and he sighed before taking a seat at his desk. It was going to be a long day.

Adelisa, who sat in her room with a soft tissue in hand, looked up to the sound of a horse's hooves clapping against cement. She leaped up and stared down from her window, watching Greg disappear out the front gates. The tissue in her hand slipped between her fingers, and floated to the carpet. Fresh tears ran down her face, falling at the end of her chin.

Greg rode out of Paris and down the coast. The day wasn't bad. He rode, and rode, and rode, all the while thinking of Adelisa. It took him a long time till he reached the coast where some of kinsmen were. They greeted him. He returned the greeting in kind. It took him an hour or so to finally let them onto the ship to go back to England.
