Lance came home rather drained from the day after incessant teasing about his new relationship from Miss Morgan and continued stares at work, this time excited giggles from girls at one of the tables. He tried to talk to Miss Morgan about it, but she just winked and said:
"Oh they're harmless honey, don't worry about them." "Can you do something about it?" "Are you kidding? You think people come here for books and this stubby old woman? The eye candy is what keeps people coming back!" "Eye candy?" She sighed, "I want to tell you but I feel responsible for protecting your innocence..." Lanced sighed and just decided he'd ask Akira what it meant when he got home.

He saw Akira working on his laptop, probably on that song Akira was making for him. His heart pounded at the recollection: Akira had made him a song, just for him. He kissed Akira's cheek in greeting and went to pull out some leftovers for lunch when he noticed the note was gone but the plate was untouched. He frowned in concern. Where had Lance gone wrong? Maybe Akira doesn't normally eat breakfast, which wasn't good but he could understand it. He decided he'd take Akira out to eat before or after their date later, and make sure he ate plenty. He went ahead and asked him his question. "Akira, do you know what 'eye candy' is?"

Akira only noticed Lance was even back when he'd gotten his cheek kissed. He had been incredibly focused on making a new sample. He stretched as Lance went for the fridge, but immediately froze with his arm still in the air when the other asked the question. He was very tempted to respond with 'You', but he immediately blushed at his own thoughts. Instead he cleared his throat before responding "It's something you find really attractive to look at." Akira then had a realization.

"Did someone call you that?" Akira stared with murder in his eyes. Anyone who dared look at his Lance other then him deserved to suffer. Was Akira a little crazy? Akira was pretty sure his jealousy was getting out of hand at this point, but he couldn't help it. It was just in his nature to want Lance all to himself. Though wanting Lance to be his and his alone wasn't bad in of itself, right? It wasn't like he was going to kill anyone any time soon for looking at Lance, nor that he even could do something like that. He was just a bit- protective. Yeah. Protective could be spun positively, Akira totally was not insanely over-protective and borderline obsessive.​

Lance was intimidated by the look in Akira's eyes as he recounted the details of his day, a faint blush on his face. He'd never heard that term before, and he especially didn't expect it to be applied to him. He tried to get Akira off the subject as quickly as he could to prevent a witch hunt. "Anyway... how was your day? I noticed you didn't eat breakfast this morning. Did you find somewhere we could see that musical? I was looking around online during my lunch break today and couldn't find anywhere to buy tickets." He shot a text to Danny while he was pulling his own laptop out to continue his search for showtimes. Heard you weren't feeling well and wanted to come check on you. Are you home?

Lance had also wanted to make preparations for his birthday next week. Lance never had friends over for a birthday, but when he moved into his boss's house she always went over the top with his birthday (as she did with everything), and eventually let Lance make his own cakes. It was now tradition for Lance to make an exceptionally extravagant cake with intricate decorations as a challenge to himself. Maybe he could do that pastry challenge with Darron. He shot that text off too as he prepared to make udon for Danny: Pastry challenge, next weekend, prepare to lose! Even if Danny didn't want to eat it, he could just eat it himself or give it to Akira. Akira had picked it which means he must like it, right?

she smiled at her daughter "Thank you, dear, and yes we will be doing something for your birthday" she softly replied. They could plan out the day once breakfast was over. She had a few ideas but she would let Michelle suggest were she wanted to go and do, after all, it was her special day. "

"no need to be sorry dear" she replied as he walked out towards the door. She gasped as he fell and was about to ask if he was alright, but he quickly picked himself up and dust himself off. She smiled and waved at the boy as he walked out "have a good day dear" she said before closing the door and walking towards the kitchen "oh sweetpea, no need to worry about your garden I took care of it and yes dear ill make you some pancakes" she said with a smile and got to work on making her pancakes.

Marina bit her lip thinking for a bit "I like it, I haven't been to a normal school" she did air quotes when she said normal and chuckled "like since I was like 6....i started to show that I was different and it became hard for me to stay in school so I was homeschooled...but I like being in this school...though I have not talked to many people.." she smiled "but I like it, everyone here is diffrent...and so far the two people I really talked too...well you and my friend Mich have been very nice" she replied happily, as her phone buzzed. Looking down to her phone she saw a texted from Mich.
"Sure I would love to hang out with you Mich, what time should we meet?" she texted back before covering her face with her hands and groan.
"I forgot about it being my friends Birthday.." she felt horrible how could she forget, she has such a fish brain sometimes.

Marina had to say goodbye to Chris as she had to run off to make something for Michelle, she still could not believe she had forgotten that it was her Birthday, she could have sworn it was next week. She was relieved that she had already made Mich's present a day ago, she just hoped she liked it. Though she did want to make her a treat, she made her way into the school's kitchen and with permission, she got to work.

Marina was putting the finishing touches to her cupcakes when her phone buzzed on the countertop. Reaching over she smile, it was a text from Mich that she would be in the garden. "perfect timing" she said to herself as she carefully moved the cupcake into a box.

'ill be right over just have to pick up something in my dorm' she texted her back.

Reaching her room she quickly grabbed a small green box with a ribbon and made her way over toward Michelle's garden. Marina walked down a path on the school grounds carrying a large white box with a tiny green box on top. She could hear some singing from afar, she smiled at the singing recognizing the voice. Reaching the garden she lightly chuckled but smiled as Mich danced around her garden "well someone seems better!" she spoke up glad to see her friend was not sick anymore "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICH! " she replied happily as she sat the boxes down on the ground so she could give her a hug. "open the white box first, do hope you like them I baked them fresh.." she replied waiting for her to open the box. When she opened the white box she was meet with 12 cupcakes all decorated with little flowers "I hope you liked them....I wanted them to look like all the pretty flowers in your garden" she said rocking back and forward on her heels.

"awww am sorry, being stuck in bed sounds really boring...you really did not miss much just school and random things happening around the school..but you can borrow my notes for classes that you missed" she offered as she watched her opened the white box "your welcome Mich.... I am glad you like how they look and hope you like them, it was nice to bake again....I have not gotten the chance to back since school started" she replied lightly blushing when Mitch commented that they were too pretty to eat. Mari held out the small green box to Mitch

"hope you like it" she said waiting for her to open the box. Opening the box Mitch could see a brown yarn bracelet with green stones "its a friendship bracelet...I made us matching ones.." she said holding out her arm to show hers which was the same but with blue stones "these are sea stones I love to collect when I would go for swims with my mom...though the large stones are something special." she started with a smile "they are actually water star sister pearls...and when they get close to eachother they glow" she said bringing her braclet up to hers and they both glowed closer they got. Bitter medicine, the idea of it made her shiver she did not even want to imagine how it would taste. "Your welcome" Marina smiled happily as Mitch gave her a hug to which she returned with a big hug. She was both relived and happy that her friend liked her gifts. "What! No.. dont be sorry...you have a beautiful singing voice...really you do.." Mari replied truthfully. "At least your singing dosent have side affects like mine dose...its not as bad as my mom....but I have to be careful when I sing..." she said with a chuckle.

Akira - There is No Solution for His Jealousy - ( SmallSailboat )

Akira was very close to storming out and hunting down those girls and demanding they apologize, or else. He wasn't sure what the 'or else' would be, he just knew it'd be incredibly painful. He had no idea how he'd even go about causing pain to another creature, he could hardly life his suitcase as it were, how was he to hurt someone? There wasn't much he could really do unless he went into more gruesome territory and he was not quite that jealous yet. He found himself sighing in relief at the switch of topic, still he felt a squeeze in his heart that wouldn't go away.

Akira then hummed to himself as he thought about how his day had been, before realizing he hadn't eaten breakfast. He'd meant to, and he was sure the cooking was delicious like all things Lance related, but he just got very distracted by other things. "My day was pretty well, I got another sample done. Probably not gonna finish it, but I sorta like it as is anyways. Sorry about breakfast, I got distracted by-" Akira gestured to his set-up of keyboard and connected laptop "That. Inspiration strikes at the weirdest times." Akira thought for a moment before sighing. He'd completely forgot about their date, he got so caught up in his own things. "I didn't find anything." He said nervously, it would probably be fine. If Lance couldn't find anything it was probable he wouldn't find anything either, then again, he was absolutely obsessed with these things. If there was anything Akira would probably be the one able to sniff it out.​

Lance nodded hesitantly, "I see," then he tilted his head. "Another one? Is that not the same song you've been working on?" Wait, if he's working on another one maybe he finished the first one. The one meant for him. He paused for a moment as his fingers trembled slightly, "Can I hear the one you made for me?" Considering how much Akira seemed to like musicals, Lance had hoped he had found one. If anyone could find one it would be him, so if even he hadn't, there must not be one in town.

Lance held his chin in his hand for a moment. Stay at home dates were a thing, right? Lance pouted a bit as his thoughts went on. That's not a real date though. To tell the truth, he wanted to show Akira off, or rather show off his happiness that was a result of Akira. Akira made him happy, and he felt that somehow if he let the rest of the world see it, they could be a little happier too. It might be a bit of trouble trying to keep Akira from glaring at people that looked at him too long, but Akira was more than worth it. How would Lance have felt if Akira had come home with that story? Lance didn't know. He thought he might be proud that he could call someone like him his. Pride. That was a new emotion for him. He'd never been proud of something before, except maybe his cooking; but even that he didn't think was chef-level quality or something he felt he could brag about. He also felt a twinge in his chest. Akira wouldn't leave him for someone else, Akira hadn't left even when Lance had hurt him. How much would he take though, before Akira had had enough? He had won Lance over, what's to stop him from being with someone else if he wanted to? If he no longer wanted to be with Lance? Lance shook his head. Then he'd just have to wish him the best, but for now Lance had no reason to believe he was going anywhere anytime soon. Going down that rabbit hole wasn't going to do anyone any good. Lance had an idea.

"How about dinner and a movie tonight, then we can see what we can find for next weekend? I'd like to actually take you out, but if you'd rather stay at home and watch a movie on TV that's fine too. Don't worry about breakfast, we can get extra tonight then you can eat that for breakfast tomorrow morning. I don't work until nighttime tomorrow so I'll be here with you in the morning. Sound good?" Lance sat down next to Akira on his bed, hoping he could get some cuddling time in before they went anywhere, if they even did.
