Armani Munroe

Armani walked over to Olivia after everything was over. "Hey, you're awake. Glad to see it." He smiled softly, sadly. "Are you feeling okay? I mean, in regards to everything that happened."

Honestly, it was a terrible question. None of them were feeling okay right now. Moments after asking her, he saw a punching bag fly through two different walls followed by an aggravated scream from Danica. He winced.

@Dxfoe

Nikolai Rogers

The scream of his sister snapped him out of his short exit from earth. He heard her speech, and was proud of her for it. Though, he was still in shock from what he had seen. Innocent people around the world had just been blindly murdered, to prove a point. All after wishing his little sister a happy birthday.

He subconsciously made his way into the kitchen where he found Idun. She looked as shell shocked as the rest of them. He didn't say anything, just leaned on the counter beside her after putting his hand on her shoulder. He wasn't sure what he could possibly say right now.

They could die any minute at this rate. Their parents probably saw that broadcast. He grimaced at the thought of his parents watching in horror as the world was torn apart. All while hearing a birthday wish to their baby. He tried to shake the thought and turned to Idun. "Well, looks like we finally got out of our parents' shadows."

@lonecoyote

Yana Maximoff

Yana felt someone pull towards her. Her first instinct was to pull away but when she saw it was Theo she relaxed slightly letting herself be pulled in. In all honesty, she didn't know what she was doing, what any of them were doing. She felt her chest tighten signaling she was about to cry, quickly she put her hands over her face so that no one could see her weakness. She knew she should have but she pressed her face against Theo's chest in hopes he would cover her till she got herself together. If anything she would say it was about her foot but that was a bad lie even for her. Yana felt like everything was spinning out of control and all she could do was sit here and wait.

When Danica spoke of killing it only made her flinch. She never killed anyone, sure she's put people in catatonic states or stunned them once or twice but never enough to kill them. She didn't know if killing should be a normal thing among legacies but she sure had never done it.
It's for your country. For your cause. Don't disappoint. She thought though doubt still rested in her mind. If Extium could gather this many people in such a short amount of time, she was scared of what he could do in a matter of minutes.

@Eunoia

Idun

Idun tapped her foot on the ground, thinking about her father at this point. He was probably enraged since Exitium called out the legacies which she was. She heard Danica yelling and lifted her head up, taking a deep breath and pulling her out from the daze she was in. She had trained all of her life for this. This was her chance to rise up from her father's shadow. Idun felt a weight on her shoulder and looked beside her to see Nikolai.

"Heh, yeah. That's true." she said and moved some hair from her face. She thought about the battle that was sure to ensue and knew that the possibility of her death rose dramatically. "Hey, if anything happens, like hypothetically, I just want you to know that I've enjoyed our time together. You're a pretty great dude." she said with a smile, putting an arm around his waist and hugging him. Idun made her mind up that she would gladly die for Earth and it's people.

@Eunoia

Theo

Theo looked down at Yana and saw her eyes brim with tears. He gave her his best sympathetic look and pulled her into his chest. He rested a hand on the small of her back with the other around her shoulders. He rested his head on top of her and let her stay there until she was done. He looked at Danica and couldn't help but to grin when she mentioned killing. That was what he was born to do and he knew he could execute.

"You don't have to tell me twice. I'll put a bullet through each of their heads."
he said and looked down at Yana who seemed to be shaken by Danica's statement. He bent down far enough so he could hear her, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Don't worry, if you want, I'll kill them so you don't have to. I'm used to it." He didn't like seeing people uncomfortable, especially females.

"Extra fuel or for water to weigh down the scales if necessary. Point is, they're empty. Which means we can use them to dump the fuel so I can fix the kinks in the li-"

Jonas paused as he heard the voice over the speakers, immediately drawing his attention as he recalled hearing that voice back in the facility as he hid in the restroom. So...this was Douchebag Prime: Exitium...the hell kinda name was that, anyway?? Sounded like some sort of cure for constipation or the element on the periodic table most used by parents against their freeloading older children. All joking aside, he knew this was a serious individual given the measures he went to back at the facility. Even so...there was something...odd about him. Even now Jonas felt a peculiar...drive was probably the optimal word...as he stared at the monitor on the table that was broadcasting the signal.

He's the one...

What???

He's the one that did this. He's the one responsible for all this suffering...for OUR suffering. He cannot be allowed to continue

Cannot be allowed to continue.

Cannot be allowed to continue.

"Did you say something??" Jonas abruptly asked Robin as he looked around, wondering if the voice had come from an outside source.He knew it wasn't the normal voice; as annoying and overbearing as it wasthat voice was always at least somewhat helpful and had, if he had to be honest with himself, a mild sense of comfort. This voice had none of that: it was raspy, faint, and more than a little creepy at its accusatory tone. Worse, he felt that drive increase; like being pulled on a path that led right to Exitium by a chain that had somehow wrapped around him and was pulling him closer; link by link.

Dammit, Jonas!! Get it together already!!!

He shook his head, clearing i
t as he looked on. "Extremely arrogant that one.," Jonas said in observation.

@Aero

•Robin Eisenhardt•

Robin couldn't believe what she just witness. Exitium had taken things way too far and his actions were completely out of hand! Killing the senators or governors was one thing she could handle since her dad has done that may times, but the president?! Robin shook her head in disbelief, trying to undo what she just saw. "What does he want from us?! From the world?!" She mumbled rubbing her head. Robin had thoughts running through her head and it was giving her a really bad migraine. She looked over at Jonas when he said something to her and shook her head to tell him no.

Robin looked at Danica in the communication room and listened to her speech. She watched how afterwards everyone reacted in different ways. Some cried, others walked out somewhere, etc.. Robin really didn't know what to feel, this was the first time she really cared about something. 'Caring sucks.' She thought to herself and closed her eyes for a minute. Robin then heard a familiar voice not to far from her and she opened her eyes to see Jonas standing there, not looking very fazed by it all. "You don't seemed shaken by all this. How come?"
@MarvelousMadman

Jonas

Jonas kept his eyes focused on the screen, studying over the madman's visage until the program ended. Robin wasn't completely correct; he did feel the loss of life...he just chose to show it in a different way. He would not, however, mention the fact that he felt the drive pull him more as he watched the psycho's lieutenants butcher the restrained people....almost like...a calling. His jaw clenched as he stared watching the 'elites' slaughter the leaders of the world...no. Not all. T'Challa wasn't there, neither was Doom. For that matter, what about leaders of other groups that had similar agendas as he did? Viper, the Red Skull, Kingpin..Robin's father? Either Exitium had them under his control (which he doubted), bribed or forced the others to comply (which would be impossible with Skull and Doom), or this was rushed. Why? For what??

Something is not right about this. If this is a measure of strength, it would be against all world leaders or eliminating a representative of all forms of authority and power.

"And I'm quiet because I'm trying to think. Something's off about all this....trust me, I've got something of an advanced degree on assholes." Jonas turned, giving a shrug to Robin as he motioned to the screen. "Think about it. If this was meant for us, why execute leaders of the world? And why only those leaders? The world in its entirety was not represented in that grouping. Wouldn't he have more success in just taking a random person with no ties to authority and killing them? Women, children?? But he doesn't. And he keeps referring to you guys as legacies: why not go after your families?? Your dad, your mom...hell he had Captain America dead to rights and didn't touch him at his own award ceremony when he was most vulnerable!"

Jonas shook his head, clenching his fist back and forth as he considered the implications...the motivations of this gesture.

What kind of ego does a man have to broadcast his personal gripes over the world??

"A guy this egotistical where he'd broadcast his private war to the world...his next step would be for us to suffer...personally, the way we made him suffer when we cleaned the clocks of his people.This isn't a gloat. It's a taunt. Something to force us back to his timetable by playing to our emotions. We slipped him up bad, now he's angry. There's something coming...either when we get there or if he comes here...but it's coming."

At that, Jonas grabbed the shotgun he had placed at the corner of the metal shop table, holstering it at his belt.

@Aero

Suddenly the dozy peace was shattered by Danica's call and Estrid rushed into the room along with the others and for the first time faced the one who she was now opposing. Watching silently she took in everything he said, carefully examining every small word and movement. The drama of the reveal of the faces behind the bags was lost on her, not knowing a single one, but their violent deaths were not. She flinched even though it hadn't been unexpected but forced herself to keep watching. But when he called out to them specifically Estrid leaned forward slightly and though his tone sent a chill down her spine it was also promising. He's angry. Anger made fools of even the wisest men. Looking about the room she saw the spectrum of responses: fear, horror, sadness, yet nothing from her brother. That wasn't the end of the terror though and she looked back to the screen to see the destruction reigning across the realm they were being shown.

Then it was over and the room was left reeling. All this time, travelling around and in between realms, stealing secrets and wrecking homes, she had only been playing, she realised it now. This was death and destruction and ruin on a scale Estrid had never seen. Yet here she was, about to march into the middle of it without any real preparation. She was dragged from her own thoughts when Danica addressed the room. Estrid took no joy from death but if it was necessary she would not shy away from it, the how was her bigger concern. She wasn't a fighter, she never had been, poisons and spells were her strengths but how did they fit into a war? She had an hour to find out.

Blasius Adam Laufeyson

Blasius smiled slightly at Asya as she left but not much they weren't in a very smiley time right now. The SHIELD facility was equipped with everything they would need to stay there for as long as they liked, and that included a change of clothes. He slowly walked out of communications room, it seemed that everybody was leaving, no one was in the mood to talk right now. He found himself some new pants and a long sleeve shirt, both black, and left to find one of the rest rooms. He stepped under the burning water with a relieved sigh, after all they'd been through feeling the burning water on his skin was nice. He just stood there for a while before proceeding with actually washing himself. He flinched as she heard Asya's scream from another bathroom nearby, as well as her pounds on the wall. Blasius was frustrated but he wasn't really the screaming type. After a while he thought it was reasonable for him to actually come out of the shower eventually, so he did and got dressed quickly before returning to the room where they'd slept. As he sat down on the floor, against the wall, he suddenly heard a voice in his head. I...We...When you come end me first. If Exitium has his way I could end you all in a blink of an eye. If I die it won't matter but try and save the others. I don't want this to go on any longer. It took him a moment before he realized that it was Dust speaking to him, through the mental connection she'd established. He wondered if he could respond, and the only way to figure it out was to try. Why? Can't you just ignore his orders, leave him? SHIELD has accepted 'villains' into their ranks before. I mean just look at me, generally not considered a hero.

@Eunoia

Shadow

Shadow grinned as she stabbed the leaders through the planes and re-materialized back into the physical plane as she did. There was no denying Shadow could be considered insane. She'd never been hypnotized or mind controlled, she'd voluntarily joined Exitium's ranks and loved every moment of it. After the leaders were dead she stood in the shadows, awaiting her next orders.

Asya Barnes

Turning off the water Asya stood in the shower for a few minutes more, collecting herself before stepping out and changing. She found some emergency clothes, a simple black tank and yoga pants, putting them on before heading out. She rubbed a towel over her head but otherwise her hair was still damp. Even though she had just taken a shower she grabbed her staff and went to the training room. She looked over at Danica but said nothing, this wasn't a time for jokes among friends anymore this was a time for war and she wanted to be ready.

Going off into a corner Asya tested her staffs electrical pulses before she started to train. As if she didn't get all of her anger out in the shower she trained a look of disgust on her face. She hadn't trained this hard since she was with her father but nothing would ever be as hard as his training. Thinking about it drove her farther, she needed to win this. Not just for her sake but for her fathers as well.

@Eunoia

Yana Maximoff

When Yana pulled away from Theo she smiled slightly and chuckled. "Can't avoid the inevitable." She pat his chest and made and effort to lighten up the mood though she knew it be difficult to do so. "Don't forget we still need to discuss the me being queen situation." She felt her stomach growl and realized she hadn't eaten since the party. " Bur before that I need something to eat... Do you want something?" She knew she should be getting ready for their battle but she didn't want to think about it no more than she had to.

Her foot was still healing and it hurt to walk causing her to limp down to the kitchen. She could always levitate but she just saw that as a waste of power. She walked, more so limped to the kitchen, hearing voices from inside. It sounded like Nikolai and Idun. She decided not to interrupt but turned back around and shrugged. " You know not really hungry as I thought." She would give Nikolai and Idun some time alone. God know they needed it. God knows everyone needed it.

@lonecoyote

Dust

They were cleaning up the bodies when Dust heard the voice. She was actually surprised that Blasius had responded though her response would have to wait. Exitium was on full lock down with them ever since they had lost the battle with the legacies. She listened to Blasius's response which almost caused her to laugh.
Leave him? Blasius I don't have a choice but to follow. SHEILD won't accept me. Not now. Not after what I have done.

@Dxfoe

Destin Incantare

Destin found himself at the monitors, scrolling back to see the faces of those killed. "America, Canada, Australia, England, France, Spain, Germany, Russia, both Koreas, Japan, China, Egypt, the list goes on. The most recognizable leaders. No, not all of them, but he didn't
have to get them all. This was a warning to the others as much as it was a message to us." He turned to the male speaking. A new face compared to the others.

"What better way to get the heroes of the world to bow down, to comply, than by having their children in his possession?" He spoke further. "Captain America is never vulnerable, kid. Except, when his kids are involved. The only way to get his compliance is to have them in danger. It's not rocket science, really." He rose, pointing at the screen. "He's angry that we didn't give up when he thought we would. So, he sent a message. To us and the rest of the world."

He started out of the room. "Estrid, come with me, please." He exited.

@MarvelousMadman @Lemoncakes

Nikolai Rogers

Nikolai wrapped his arms around her. "I really enjoyed our time together, too. But, we're not allowed to die." He leaned back to look at her, not letting go. "I still owe you a dance. I'd offer to make good on that promise now, but then we wouldn't have a excuse to not die." He smiled at her. This was not the time for flirting, but it wasn't really the time for anything.

"You know, we have an hour, before we have to go back to being warriors." He grinned at her.

@lonecoyote

Armani Munroe

"I know the feeling." He sighed, listening to Destin's mini speech. He'd never had much interaction with him, but he had a new form of respect for him after all of this. He was destined to be a villain, but yet here he was, helping the heroes. A lot of these people weren't really on the good side of the fence. Armani turned back to Olivia, "we'll need to go get your suit, right?"

@Dxfoe

Idun

Idun looked at Nikolai with a smile, nodding and looking up at him as he pulled her in.
"Yeah, you're right. I said hypothetically, though." she mentioned, trying to mask the uncertainness in her voice. She enjoyed being there with him. She was enjoying just being there. But in a way it felt bad. The way she was feeling and the way the rest of the world was feeling. It just didn't settle right in her gut.

"Oh? And what did you have in mind we do? I need to talk to Blasius before we leave. I'm going to share with him what Odin shared with me." she said and looked up at the ceiling, a grin on her face, "So I would say 45 minutes." she concluded. Was this really a time for her to be doing this with Nikolai? Absolutely not. Did she care? Not really. After all, who knew what was going to happen. The war had begun and they were going to dive head first into it. If there was anything she'd learn when facing life or death situations was to live every moment as if it were her least because it could very well be.

@Eunoia

Theo

Theo looked at Yana and chuckled, shaking his head at her.
"When we finish this battle, maybe, maybe I'll be convinced that you are the Queen." he said He watched her hobble to from the room and followed slowly behind her in case she fell. "Yeah, I'm pretty hungry." he commented and almost plowed over the small girl when she stopped.

"Huh? I thought you were hungry. What's stopping you?" he asked and peeked his head into the kitchen and saw Idun and Nikolai in an embrace and leaning against the counter. He rolled his eyes, trying to show he was disgusted when in reality he was happy for her. Idun deserved to have some happy time before the big battle. Heck, they could all use some time to themselves. Theo turned his back to the two and looked at Yana, holding his hand up.

"I'm going to go up to the gas station to get some food. Want me to grab you something?"

@Aio

Everyone was beginning to say their piece, putting forward their views on the chilling message. In truth they all seemed to be right in some way, this Exitum did not appear to be some one track minded villain and if he was as old as they said then he would have had plenty of time to think and plan and learn and gods.. this was not a comforting train of thought. She needed to get out of her head, do something productive. Of course there wasn't time to make any more potions or poisons but she could take stock of all the ones she had and...

Destin's words caught her attention immediately and she looked up in time to see him leave the room. Estrid paused for a second before following him out. Catching up to him she carefully asked
"What? What is it?"

@Eunoia

Danica Rogers

Danica stood for a minute, staring at the hole the punching bag left. Her breathing was shallow and her thoughts were rapid. She looked up when Asya entered the room, neither of them speaking. They were both feeling the same way. She cracked her knuckles. She could go for a shower, but she didn't want to relax. Relaxing was only going to make it harder.

Instead she grabbed a jump rope, jumping fast and angrily. She'd go for a run after this. She needed the fresh air.

@Aio

Nikolai Rogers

"I can work with 45 minutes." He chuckled. "Like you said, hypothetically, we could die. I'd rather spend my last 45 minutes of freedom with you than waste it." He answered her question, without really answering it. He figured she'd catch the meaning.

He was trying to justify wanting to have a little bit of time before this. Even the best heroes needed time to themselves before diving into war. He wasn't a soldier, despite being raised by one. He'd never really thought about going into war. Especially not yet. Not so sudden. Wars usually had a little warning beforehand, but not this time. No, not this time. This time they were thrown head first into a war that they weren't prepared to fight. They'd had training, they'd had preparations, but nothing could have prepared them for Exitium. He supposed there was no reason to justify what he was feeling. He was still human, after all.

@lonecoyote

Destin Incantare

"How many offensive spells have you learned?" He asked, flipping open the book his mother had left notes in. "And we'll need to both memorize this mass healing spell." He looked at her, still surprised by how much she looked like their mother. He knew they only had an hour to prep for this, so he wouldn't get sentimental now.

"Thank you, by the way. For joining the fight, I mean." Destin ran his hand through his hair. "I know it's not your fight, and I appreciate that you were willing to join it."

@Lemoncakes

As he started to talk of spells and preparation Estrid felt a wave of relief pass over her, anything more and she'd feel it would only be driven by the fear of what the day may hold. "Offensive? Several.. I know enough." When he mentioned the healing spell she paused, looking down at the book in his hands, before giving a small nod. "Yes, of course." She'd frozen last night but that wasn't a luxury she had now, it was just words and magic, the problem was in her own mind and she'd have to get over that.

"You're wrong, I didn't realise it at first either but this is as much my fight as everyone else's. This is not a man who will ever be satisfied and he has a clear vendetta towards Asgard. If the worst was to happen and Midgard did fall into his hands, well, I can't believe that his eyes wouldn't turn to us next, try to neutralise us to secure his throne. That cannot happen." It had been a thought that had been sitting in the back of her mind since the video this morning, but saying it aloud gave the thought weight and added to her conviction.

@Eunoia

Olivia Stark

Olivia nodded, "Yea, without it I'm pretty much useless" She knew some martial arts but not much, and that wouldn't be any help against their enemies. There was a technopath in their ranks but they'd figure that issue out then they could. "I don't know how we're going to get there without being intercepted by Exitium's troops though.

#just remembered her suits were destroyed

@Eunoia

Blasius Adam Laufeyson

You'd be surprised. He responded, it was pretty surprising really. With how much security SHIELD had but then how often they just let Villains into their ranks when they told them they were trying to help. Join us when we defeat Exitium. Blasius was just sitting on the floor, with his eyes closed. He just needed to relax a bit, so he closed his eyes and leaned his head against the wall as he mentally spoke with Dust. Did he tell the others he was communicating with one of Exitiums elite? Especially when Red Wiccan kinda hated her at the moment for what she did to her at the ball.

@Aio

Yana Maximoff

Yana was looking at the two in the kitchen till Theo's voice snapped her back to reality.
"Huh? Oh, I'll just come with. An adventure and all that." She let out a small laugh before she limped away, going towards the exit. "I'll race you but I require a 10-minute head start." She said as she looked back at him before looking down at her foot. This thing better heal quick. She thought. There is no way I'm gonna fight in this condition. Idun's healing was slowly mending and she could see a difference from earlier but at the rate it was going she would be cutting it close before the battle. She wouldn't classify herself as a control freak but right now she wasn't in control of her situation and it was putting her on edge

@lonecoyote

Dust

Dust kept busy not wanting to bring any attention to herself.
Even if I live I wouldn't be able to look anyone in the eye. I know more about them then they may know about themselves. This conversation was going on longer than she expected, growing nervous in fear of Exitium finding out. She looked out of the corner of her eye to see Techna, watching her quietly before she looked away. She did try to understand her nor did she want to. If anyone should be killed it should be her. Dust thought though she quickly shook her head at the idea. No one should wish such an awful thing for someone else. I need to go they're growing suspicious. I'll contact you before the battle. Please don't be late it will only make things worse. With this, she cut off her mental link with Blasius. He would be able to talk to her but on his side, he would hear nothing but static from her side. It was for the best. She could act more natural if she wasn't having a constant conversation in her head. Dust wondered if he had told the others, she would leave it up to him to decide to know the information could go two ways.

@Dxfoe

Blasius Adam Laufeyson

Blasius wanted to respond but he felt it was going to be for the best. He sat there for a bit before getting up, he needed to train a bit. However Blasius didn't want to venture into the training room, he figured it may be slightly.. dangerous in there. Instead he went looking for Destin. Blasius was technically an Asgardian, and probably would've gone to Asgard if he wasn't hypnotized at the time. He had heard Destin mention some spell that his mother had given him that would help against Exitium, and he figured it wouldn't hurt for him to learn them. When he found him, he was calling Astrid away, but that didn't stop him from approaching. "Hey Destin!" He called, "Could you teach me those spells your mom taught you?" He asked. Amora the Enchantress was a 'friend' of his fathers once, so he knew their magic was similar in a way.

@Eunoia

Theo

Theo shook his head when Yana said she'd race him.
"Hon, I could give you an hour head start and I would still win. I can teleport, remember?" he said and saw a flash of blonde go by them. Theo rolled his eyes and gave them a few minutes of escape before going up to the exit of the bunker. He opened the door and held it open for her, waiting patiently for her to come up.

"Should we get food for everyone else too? I'm feeling like a burrito. Or maybe some easy mac."
he said to her, in his mind he was thinking about the up coming battle as well. He needed more ammo for his guns because they were more than likely close to being empty. "I wonder if there are any bullets around here. No doubt my gun's getting low." he wondered aloud. This war/battle was sure to put everyone to the test but Theo wanted to get straight to Exitium and blow his god forsaken head off. For everything he put him through. All the pain, anger, and sorrow. Exitium needed to finally meet his end.

@Aio

Destin Incantare

"That's a good point," he said with a sad smile. How did the world get to the point that this was what was happening. He noticed her hesitation when it came to healing the night before. "You can do it, you know. You're the daughter of Amora, there's no need to be nervous about healing, it's just about the feeling." He smiled at her.

Destin would have flinched at the sound of Blasius entering the room, but he had spent his life practicing being stoic. He still blamed Loki and Thor for his mother's death, but the last several hours had proven that the past needed to remain there, in the past. "You're just in time, I was just about to teach it to Estrid." He carefully read the incantation to them, and told them exactly what his mother wrote. "You can't just say it with your mouth, you have to say it with your heart as well."

@Lemoncakes @Dxfoe

Armani Munroe

"Leave that to me." He grinned, "Mom taught me some tricks with fog to make us practically invisible." He knew things were about to get messy. They'd need to move quickly. "I'll carry you on my back there, I'm pretty fast." His father's enhancements had passed onto him and he was happy they had. Well, at least, he was now. He wasn't usually.

@Dxfoe

Jonas

Jonas narrowed his eyes as he heard the other Asgardian provide hs own explanation. While he was a bit perturbed with being called a kid -he was probably one of the oldest here...then again, since he was Asgardian, there was no real telling how old he truly was- Jonas couldn't fault any of his logic: he said pretty much the same things be had said; and even if he didn't, it didn't change their current course of action. They were stll going to find this bastard and his murderous charges, and put them down as needed.

That, of couse, set his own path of action fairly straight.

"We've all got one hour before we go straight to the mouth of hell to stop this. Everyone fulfill it as you see fit. Anyone needs me, I'll be down in the hanger, seeing to our transportation."

With that, Jonas left the communications room, taking a left as he headed for the armory. Before he saw to the Quinjet, he wanted to be prepared completely for what was to come so that they would be ready to leave as soon as possible.

Kevlar was a must. Heading into unknown territory favored the enemy...and with the technowitch involved gun placements were a serious possibility. The woven shirt fit under his own, and the jacket would provide good protection against strikes...so long as they weren't from deity-originated forces.

EMP grenades and flashbangs were next. Eliminating the outlets of technology around the battlezone would severely limit the witch's options for assault on them...if Stark was out somewhere else, even bring her down to no options at all. The flashbangs would allow for the chance to stun and confuse: good for any of the rest of the 'elites,' but helpful against the teleporter specifically. Throwing a flashbang would disorient him and perhaps either stun or force him to teleport away.

Searching through the munitions he found a HYDRA rifle hidden in the back; a sleek black carbon design with an alternate plasma ammunition. Speed was going to be the key in nailing the teleporter. From what he heard from speaking with the others, another had telepathic powers. Headshots may be required on both; he'd have to be ready for that.

He rounded everything out with a bandolier of ammunition, two SMGs and a Desert Eagle, similar to the one his brother had wanted when he first wanted to join the Marines. The gun was firm and had a decent heft in his hand, taking a dryfire, he lined up the sights on the tip of the barrel before pulling the trigger with a firm, crisp click. He was no hero...hell he wasn't even a warrior or soldier...but he was a fighter; and he was determined to take as many of the bastards down with him if this was to be his own end.

Don't think that way. Not now.

Giving a sigh as he nodded in response, he finished up in the armory as he placed the other items in a black duffle as he zipped it up and left to head back downstairs. He had work to do to ensure that bird would be flightready by the end of the hour.

Yana Maximoff

"Well if you want to cheat then fine you win." Yana said as she walked up the exit, smiling as Theo held the door open for her. "You know you can be a real gentleman when you want to be." She joked which seemed all she could do at this point. She tried acting nonchalant about the upcoming battle but truth be told she was terrified, none of them knew what they were getting into truth be told and she was just starting to realize this. "Ooo I think easy mac is a great idea. We should bring some back for the others but I don't know how willing they be to eat before the battle." She heard his remark about ammo and sighed, it made her uncomfortable to even think about it but she decided to respond anyways. "I'm pretty sure there should be an armory around this place. Wouldn't be a SHEILD base if there wasn't." She looked at him and gave a quick smile before looking away. "Theo...Just make sure you don't let him get to you." Unlike her joking tone before she was serious knowing how emotions could get the best of someone in battle. She decided not to expand on her words leaving it where it was before she continued to walk. She didn't want to make the mood between them dark but at the same time she didn't want to see him killed because his emotions got the better of him.

When he reminded her that she was the daughter of Amora Estrid couldn't help but smile. It had been thrown at her in the past as an attack and even though that had proven time and time again to be useless it was still nice to hear it in this way. "I suppose time will tell." She joked, even if the humour was half fake.

As Blasius shouted out Estrid instinctively turned to look. Given his question and his appearance - there was a certain resemblance - she could only assume this was a child of Loki. Considering the circumstance that wasn't a surprise but Destin's cool demeanor wasn't what she would have expected. When she had last seen him his anger towards both Loki and Thor had been clear, it had helped to contribute to his imprisonment, yet now he was working alongside their children. Then again time had passed and circumstances were dire.

Estrid quietly echoed the incantation as Destin read it out, repeating it in her mind a couple of times to make sure it stuck. Hearing the note their mother had attached to the spell she couldn't help but give a small laugh.
"Wouldn't want to make it too easy on us, would she?" It often felt like her heart had many a thing to say, but Estrid was far more used to trying to quieten it, now it was time to try and control it.

Theo Williams

Theo watched as she slowly came up the stairs and commented about how he could be a gentleman.
"Yeah, when you live with Idun, you learn to be one. Swear she acts more as a mother towards me than anything else. But it's whatever." he said and watched her climb up and into the gas station. He closed the door behind them and walked to where he microwaveable food was.

His eyes scanned the items, reading over all of the food choices. He saw a chicken and cheese burrito and opened the fridge, not making eye contact with her after her statement.
"I won't. I'll treat it as a normal mission. I don't have emotions then." he said, standing up straight with a few of the burritos and a grin on his face. He knew it probably sounded horrible that the thought of killing another person didn't phase him but it was just the way he was raised. The life of a mercenary was a rough one. Sometimes he couldn't get his mind out of the blood thirsty mode he got himself in. It was hard to snap out of different mindsets. "You've got nothing to worry about." he smiled and went to grab a few bags, putting the food in them and grabbing more food.

Blasius Adam Laufeyson

Blasius couldn't lie, he was surprised that the two children of Amora were so calm with him. He was aware of their anger toward his father, however Blasius often chose to ignore it. He listened as Destin read the incantation and worked it into his brain, repeating it in his mind several times. He had the words down, but saying incantations 'with his heart' wasn't exactly the Laufeyson style. His father had always been sort of.... detached, when it came to the times he used magic, generally leaving his feelings behind, and Blasius had inherited that slightly. "No she wouldn't." He muttered responding to Estrid's comment.

Destin Incantare

Destin chuckled at their comments, he had long since conquered using his heart to make his powers stronger. How else would he have broken out of Asgardian prison, after all? He looked at both of them. He hadn't ever planned on teaching magic, but sometimes, things happened. "Your heart is surprisingly powerful when you're casting spells. Sure, you can want with your head, but wanting with your heart makes it much more powerful."

He thought about how he had escaped, he had thought about his mother then. How much she had meant to him. He had thought about Estrid and how much he had disappointed her. "Find a memory that brings you joy and a memory that brings you sorrow. Channel those and you'll be able to do this. Let them fuel your magic and push you to do better." He smiled, a little sadly albeit, "that's how I broke out of prison."
