Marvel/Daredevil Roleplay

Sable watched the cops sit and placed her hands together, clearing her throat and smoothing her hair out of her face. Her large eyes scanned from the table in front of her and upward to the cops across from her. She spoke, "I used to be a member of the mutant street rats. I have separated myself from that gang, but I have information that you need."

The cops looked interested but wary. "In exchange for what exactly?" One of them, officer Stevenson asked. Matt spoke, "our client would like to make a deal. She will trade all she knows about the street rats and their notorious leader, in exchange for protection and a plea bargain in the form of community service for her actions pertaining to the property she was found in possession of." Foggy folded his hands as matt spoke, letting him take the lead but then finally adding, "our client cannot give you her information for a file, as she is a street rat and basically doesn't have any. But we do have a witness present to this meeting who can speak for the trustworthiness of our client's story." He motioned to Maddie. The cops looked irritated but desperate. They looked at one another, whispered something and then said, "okay. We can deal with that. Is there anything else we need to know before we record what you're about to say?" Stevenson asked, looking at sable.

Sable spoke, "Yeah. I would prefer to tell you everything I know and then walk out of here. I'm tired of the corruption and misinformation that spreads in the MSR. I was one of the high ups who reported directly to Pioer, so I saw how the higher ranking members distorted information for their own agenda and when I began to question it... They tried to off me... So you can get I got an axe to grind, and that works in your favor." She pointed at the cops, "So what do you want to know? And if you're not high enough ranking to know what needs to be known, then I would like to talk to someone who is."

Stevenson looked surprised. "I bet you do. Give me one second, I'll get chief and Mahoney." Matt nodded as the cop left. Minutes later her returned with the chief of the precinct and Sergeant Brett Mahoney, an old friend of matt and foggy's. "Okay lets begin." The chief turned on a tape recorder. Maddie stated her name for the record to substantiate Sable's claim. Then the chief began asking his questions. ((Wanna do a Timeskip?))

((Sure, though I thought this would be a good opportunity for Sable to share what kind of work she did for Piper when she was a small kid. How she became his favorite, the way she earned her keep, etc, because she isnt going to share it any other time))

((Okay so why don't you just do a monologue because I won't know exactly what questions to ask. I'll give you one to get started on, and then just keep going from there to share whatever you feel is necessary.))

Chief turned to Sable. "Alright ma'am. Let's start with how you got started with the street rats. From there you can tell us what his activities are, what made you stop being a part of them, and finally what happened that night you got caught. And feel free to add anything else you want us to know." He said politely.

((May I control the chief shortly, just to have him ask the questions I want finalized before the time skip. That's all I will have him do then after this post we can time skip))

Sable went on, explaining everything she could, answering his questions. While she didn't tell every little detail. She told just enough for it to be important, to help the police get a peak into the MSR world and begin to understand the culture and what goes on. Sable had started with the activities which made her want to join, the brotherhood, and tight knit community in which they look out for each other, the need for support and parental figures that weren't going to cause her bodily harm. She didn't mention her migraines, just the abuse, inhumane punisments, and abuse that went on in the group home. She worked backwards, finishing up with how she got in and her place in the gang, "I was Piper's right hand girl, and that happened pretty quickly, a few years after I joined. He took me to live in his what he called palace with other higher ranking members. He liked to think I was his old lady, but I was never okay with that." Sable took out a cigarette and lit it up, before drawing in a deep breathe and blowing out the smoke. Even though she wasn't showing it, she was getting very anxious. She hated talking to cops, and she couldn't help feel like she was betraying the only family she ever had.

"Why you? What did you do for him to earn a high ranking at such a young age." The cheif asked.

"Well it wasn't sex if that's what you're thinking. I was a young preteen at the time. That would have been sick, and Piper's not like that. He may be greedy, but he doesn't force girls to do anything they're not willing to." Sable stated, "He liked me because of my versatility and skill set. I could earn him money doing almost anything. I pick pocketed well, earned a lot of money through street acts, and did well at conning. But what earned me the most money by far was something called trap and charge, the prettier and more innocent the girls looked, the more they earned. I was good at it." Sable leaned back in her chair, holding her cigarette out to the side as she thought, blowing a cloud of smoke into the air above her.

"And what is trap and charge?" Asked an officer.

"So I would dress in nice clothing, not revealing, but flattering, and I would take to the streets. Men would think I was lost at first, or needed help. I would act like I didn't speak English and they would take advantage of this taking me to a motel or whatever, and I used my... Abilities to get them to go where I wanted. They already had the idea of taking advantage of a young girl in their head, I didn't have to do that part. Anyway once they'd get there they'd act a weird mix of fatherly and like sexual experts like they were about to enlighten me. I never let them touch me, I just stood there and listened to them ramble. They'd just start to strip when Piper would barge in with some new accent, claim he was my father and say he was going to call the police unless they could pay money and make it all go away." Sable leanrd forward and tapped her cigarette into the ashtray, "You'd be amazed what politicians, law enforcement, doctors, and lawyers will pay to keep their good name... Good." She shrugged, "Being in MSR taught me something about juman depravity and men."

Maddie bit her lip and looked at the floor. God only knew what the poor girl had seen. Men could definitely be pigs. Matt shook his head slowly. The chief stood. "Alright. I think this will be enough. Thank you ma'am. And thank you, ms. Maddison." He nodded to the two of them and Maddie made a gesture like she didn't do anything and didn't need to be thanked. Chief turned off the tape recorder. "For the record, would you have names of these individuals? Especially any senators or important people?" The chief asked, pulling out a pad of paper and a pen.

Sable shook her head, "No... I knew their faces, I remember seeing them on benches and billboards, but I don't remember names. It was years ago. Sorry." She stood, "So I am free to go. Thank you officers."

"No, thank you. Your community service will take place at Mercy east hospital with ms. Maddison here who has sworn to keep an eye on you. 4 months should do the trick. And you have our protection. If you ever need anything or have anymore information, please let us know." The chief said, handing sables papers to Maddie who signed and handed them back. The chief and other cops left. Matt stood. "Well I'd say that went fairly well."

When the cops mentioned community service, Sable stood abruptly, "Hold on." The cops continued, "No, no, no I said walk out of here those were my terms!" She snapped, "My lawyer said community service, but I shoot higher, I said 'walk out' and you agreed. This is bullshit!" Sable screamed after them, "Hey! I know my rights!" They left, "Fucking cops. Can't trust them. What did I say. Fuck me over. Fuck you!" She kicked a chair.

Maddie shook her head. "I think they consider you walking out of here, not in handcuffs to be appropriate." She told sable. "In any case it's a really easy punishment to serve. Especially considering the circumstances." She added. Matt sighed. "I'll talk to Brett about getting it shortened maybe. But for now, take it and run." He advised.

Sable crossed her arms, her hair fallen in her face after her fit, "Fine..." She said, "Now what?" She blew her wild bangs from in front of her delicately featured face.

"Now you go do community service, and we talk to Brett. If you have any issues you come straight to the police or us. Whichever is closest." Foggy answered, closing his briefcase.

Sable sighed, "I'm not going to the police for anything." She groaned, "Wait... I'm still staying with you?" Sable asked Maddie expecting Maddie to tell her to go get a job so they can get her off their hands and send her back out on the streets to sink or swim.

Maddie shrugged. "Not like you have anywhere else to go. You're free to stay with me if you like. Or go if you want. I'm not holding you hostage but you're always welcome with me." She replied as if it was no big deal. Matt smiled a little. Typical Maddie, being extremely generous and kind and playing it off like she had just given sable a burger or something. "I think staying with Maddie would be the wiser choice but I'm sure you don't want or need my opinion." Matt added. Foggy grinned a little. "Murdock, I think she'd rather walk through a wall then hear your opinion again." He quipped.

Sable rolled her eyes, "I want to stay with Maddie." She said walking out of the station. She pulled out a cigar like object, except skinnier. She lit up and drew in the smoke, holding it for a while in her lungs before steadily blowing out, "So when do I have to start the community service work?" She asked. Truth was, the reason she didn't want to leave was because she didn't want to go back to being on her own. She liked Maddie and felt comfortable with her. She was afraid of losing that again.

Maddie shrugged. "Court says as long as its completed within the year they don't care. I was thinking maybe you could start with me next week. We just had a flu outbreak but once that clears out it should be pretty quiet." Maddie replied.

"Sounds good to me," Sable said as she drew in another lung full of the smoke. She rolled the joint slowly between her fingers, watching the paper blacken and wrinkle at the end as she spoke slowly, her body relaxing with the incoming high, "I'm hungry. What's for lunch?"

Maddie chuckled. "Pizza. Never ask a new yorker what's for lunch. It's always pizza." She joked, heading to a pizzeria on the corner. ((I'm gonna do a Timeskip but I need the name of the guys you wanna meet. Both the best friend and the love interest. Just give them to me on messenger.))

"Sounds good. Let me finish this dube." Sable said, her eyes getting slightly red in the corners, "Want a hit?" She asked, leaning her back against a wall and holding the joint towards Maddie.

Maddie shook her head. "You do realize if you smoke in my apartment I'm kicking you out right?" She added. "What you do on the streets is your business but I'm not gonna be evicted for a joint that wasn't mine." She chuckled.
