[Idea]

Brief Introduction: Name's Silver, I can draw a bit, and write a bit and love doing both. Definitely a high fantasy fan and a true lover of the old tales, from myths to fables. In terms of writing I very much like stepping outside my comfort zone and am always willing to try new things.

Brief RP Experience: I've been writing for a little while with the specific focus of improving every aspect: from character development to world building to plot writing. My current focus is character devo. I've run my fair share of threads and written in more than I can likely count. RpN has been my home for about three years now.

Ideal Sandwich: Levity and wit between two thick slices of well-toasted good humour.

Country and Timezone: UTC +1, an hour ahead of UK.

Alright, managed to get a lot of stuff done and finally my character forms are up - please check them out! I also noticed in the process that I tailed off mid-sentence updating the magic system the other day - oops! It should be sorted now Thirdly, I also added a new and important character to the NPC section: he's an old man by the name of Cornelius Fugal, and please make sure you've checked him out ahead of the start of the RP!

In the mean time, here's a proper introduction of myself:

I’ve been around on RPN for about three years now, and was a fellow (the then-equivalent to helpers) for about half a year, though I’ve been on a lot more infrequently over the last two years. That’s because, in term time, I’m an English Literature and Creative Writing student which occupies most of my time! Aside from that, I’m a keen follower of motorsport, a pianist, and a Christian

It was a dying community of probably only a hundred regulars, but that meant there was a fairly close-knit bunch of us RPing. We mainly dealt in one-liners and similarly short posts to start with, but it was all good fun! Then, after leaving that site, I found RPN three years ago and have been playing around with it ever since!

Smoked cheese and chorizo (trust me, it’s good)

Castello : Somewhat of a delayed reaction on my part, but what exactly is peanut-butter and jelly like? It's not something we have at all here in the UK (though a certain song means people know what it is )! On a more important note, Black, Synder and SilverFlight - I'll post tomorrow with some ideas about what kind of relationships Ambrose and Celia might have with you guys!

We've still got until Friday before the RP starts, but just for the sake of chasing people up, how are people doing with their forms? I've spoken with B Blink , Shireling and MrBossMan about a few questions and ideas, but how about InkyDarkness Oenanthe Shady Ace PicaPirate Squad141 ? Probably a good day to aim to have the character up for would be Wednesday, as that'll give me time to give you stuff to edit and also give you time to talk with other players about pre-relationships!

As a general announcement too now, I would prefer NOT to have any more twin characters who are practicing Sanitigions - those who I've spoken to about it are fine, but we're already up to a potential three when the choice would be unorthodox anyway!

Yeah, it's a really American thing I guess, I have family in Europe and they always give me strange looks when I suggest it to them. I think if I explained it to you, you would probably call it disgusting, but it has been built up in my childhood, so it's not so bad. It's basically jam of your choice mixed with peanut butter between two loaves of bread. The sandwich is sort of thick, but the jam gives it a sweet taste. It's a real simple sandwich and it is easy to make.

I think that most people who have been denied thus far are people who have neglected the lore or flat out did not read anything before making a character app. You seem to utilize grammar properly, I do not think you should turn down the roleplaying opportunity just because you think you are incompetent. It might be a good idea to tackle something larger. For me this place is where I come to improve my skills as a writer and get feedback from people who are more experienced. I bet if you read up on what Sky wrote (it's actually pretty tame compared to other rps I have been apart of), you could write an app that is very acceptable. He was very reasonable with my application, helped me where I made mistakes in grammar and misunderstandings.

Then again, it is all up to you, I just think feeling incompetent is not a very good reason.

Fear not! I personally find pinterest quite good for finding stuff, but in some cases it's incredibly difficult to get a picture that fits (especially if you're trying to write a character who's not either white or Japanese! ) So my suggestion would be to try there first, and then if you still can't find anything, see if you can use something which isn't quite 100% like your character and just highlight the differences in the descriptiony bit. I've always been of the opinion that the picture should compliment and not outright dictate whatever appearance idea you already had! Hopefully that helps

Sorry to hear about your weekend - hope things get better soon! Whilst people have been rejected for a number of reasons so far, and though I do also agree largely with Black Masquerade's comments, ultimately it's your choice - only you know about things like your posting length and how feasible it would be for you to flesh out posts for this. I certainly wouldn't call it incompetence - just because you normally write less or you haven't RPed as much, doesn't devalue your ability and worth as an RPer! But ultimately it's up to you - if you put in a form that's up to scratch we'll be very happy to take you, but if you bow out we'll wave our sad gooodbyes understandingly

That's, of course, difficult to do if you're a more visual thinker and you've already internalized the sort of character you'd like to play; along with that come bits like their eye color, hair style, etcetera, so you have an image yourself but not necessarily one someone else has depicted. Are you torn because of this, or is it just not finding a pic within a style that appeals to you? Pinterest has helped me with the latter, just because it filters images relevant to your interests. For the former, I can only suggest being able to compromise with someone else's vision--get an image that's close enough and crop out or otherwise edit all the excess--or get your idea drawn.

Regarding acquaintanceships, or even possible friendships, the way I'm envisioning my character, he'd have something to say about near every family in town. Likely, he'd also be bookish in some aspects, so maybe they could have had some intellectual conversations in the past.

You should discuss acquaintances only if you are officially accepted!

Also, each character is allowed a maximum total of 20 for their stats (I believe yours currently has 30)- unless you discussed this with Ginge and he approved it beforehand
