INTRODUCTION
Nice to meet you guys!! My name is Semblance and I am your co-GM. We really appreciate your interest and love reading all of your characters I first joined RPN in the summer of 2015 and I stay active during breaks, but often take long hiatuses during the semester when I'm busy with school.

I am currently a rising senior in college (or university for the Europeans out there), born and raised in the USA. I am studying biology and psychology with the ultimate goal of becoming a physician's assistant. I studied abroad in Prague during the fall 2016 semester and I absolutely fell in love with Europe, so I definitely plan on going back someday.

My favorite colors are mint/teal, and I have a half Labrador half Australian cattle dog. I would say that I'm a pretty extroverted person and I enjoy talking to other people. Spontaneous and chill are two other qualities that people have used to describe me. I also love going to concerts/music festivals and I enjoy listening to chill EDM.

RP EXPERIENCE
I first started RP-ing when I was in middle school (about 8 years ago). I was obsessed with the Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter, so my very first experience roleplaying was on multiple Warrior Cat forums with one-liners. I took quite a long hiatus in high school and basically didn't RP at all until I came to college about 3 years ago. This was when I discovered RPN and needless to say, I was hooked from the very first day.

Yeah this was really frustrating for me too, but if you remember a few key words (3 is fine) in any post from that RP and search those words, then it will come up. So for example, if you were in a fantasy RP with dragons, and you typed in your character's name, "dragon," and "shadow," because you remember these words being in that thread, then the IC thread will come up

There's probably an easier way to do it, but that's just how I've been doing it so far

Alright guys! Here's my suggestions as to how Ambrose and Celia might know/relate to your characters (please do take initiative between yourselves as well!). With the twins we'll only have maybe a few posts to play out any interactions between them before they're taken away, though just for the sake of world/rural community building I'll mention my thoughts briefly on them anyway:

Castello : What do you reckon? I'm having a tough time thinking specific with this one! I reckon Ricky and Ambrose would likely be either really good friends, given their energy, joking around, and attemped same responsibilities of consoling people, or stuff like Ricky's practical jokes and his strict routine might alienate him from Ambrose. Probably the former given the close knit community, and they'd have to bear with each-other, though that all depends on what you reckon Ricky would think of him! Celia meanwhile would probably just find him annoying as she'd see him as immature and without the reasoning she knows Ambrose has. Sylvio's water magic might also mean he's part of the same group of water collector/clensers as Ambrose - otherwise I think the Culpesso's would be fairly indifferent to him (save for, in Celia's case, as 'that pest Ricky's nice, quiet brother)

Synder : On another note, Elizabeth and Semblance 's Adela do very similar occupational things, so that's definitely a link you could play with! With both of them being new/infrequent to town apart from perhaps known for their also being twins and being born in the same year, I think it's unlikely your characters would have developed much of a relationship with anybody else unless you can spot any direct links between characters and their lines of work? Likewise for you, SilverFlight , as your characters I imagine would've been in town for a very short amount of time they'd be known as (unusual) newcomers so wouldn't have much in the way of pre-existing relations!

MrBossMan : Though Lukas's been gone from town for a fair few years, his Sanitigion link would be an interesting link to my dudes as he was basically doing what Celia was doing at the same time, albeit both of them being hidden from each-other. How would Lukas react to finding out Celia has been doing the same and got away with it without the trauma he's experienced? (because I imagine Ambrose will spill at some point near the beginning.) On their end I reckon his return would spur a bit of a guilty 'this could have been us' responce, and perhaps an awkward aversion to him (especially Celia) as they try to avoid dealing with it. Another question: what kind of person was Lukas pre-trauma, as that'd affect people's memories of him! I imagine his sudden and recent reappearence in such a bad state would largely mean a 'poor old Lukas' responce in what little time he's been back before we start the RP.

Semblance : So just to be 100% clear, we totally didn't plan the ex-lovers thing between our characters - Semblance messaged me about the possibility of having Celia come and heal her character in her backstory after I posted my character, and as her character coincidentally was also the daughter of a miner already like I randomly mentioned Ambrose having a ring from an ex-girlfriend-daughter-of-a-miner I was immediately like 'this could be a really interesting thing to explore!' I know if I was on you guys' side of things I'd have warning bells kicking off, but don't worry, we're not going to be writing a glorified 1-1 as this relationship has no standings on what we've planned for the plot!

With that just clarified, we need to establish why they broke up, and my suggestion would be because of that very event of healing - I imagine in her panic to get to them she'd have risked unveiling Celia's magic to the world, which would be a big no-no to Ambrose. For him as well trying to protect his sister and also trying to hide the fact he's built himself around that, perhaps realising her perceptiveness and having spilt too many beans he began to feel vulnerable and broke off the relationship then? I think if it was him initiating the break-up (although she's passionate enough to do it instead if you can think of something) it'd be out of his own insecurity and weakness for sure. I think it'd be interesting to have them still fairly bitter ambeit complexly come the start of the RP, which we'd need to work out the specifics of!

I did have a thought that I'd like to share regarding relationships, and that would be that my twins have had three weeks in the village, Thalia wouldn't make many friends of that I am sure, but Alexis' good nature and interest/knowledge in healing herbs might make him a likely candidate for odd jobs about the apothecary, do you think it would be possible he would have obtained a minor position there, and in consequence gotten to know Adela to some degree?

Naturally, I was considering doing a character application though I'm a little hesitant. I have 1-2 days to get it done and I'm worried that wouldn't be enough time to get it the standard I'd like.

When it comes to relationships for Ricky, I think there's going to be issues for anyone who has been in the village for a majority of their life. Most parents would probably try and keep their children away from him because he is a little off. The more reserved and traditional children may shun him, while the more open, compassionate or indifferent may welcome him as a friend. He is a bit like Teddy from Stand By Me.

Yeah, it is kind of tough. I think they have the ability to be friends, but Ricky would be the type of kid parents would tell their children to veer away from. I think they would be close though, Ricky wouldn't be anywhere near his best friend, but he would be the kind of person Ambrose would hang out with when he just wants to have a good time. They probably have the capacity to drift closer should they leave Ricky's Stigma in the village though. Sylvio would likely dislike Ambrose quite a bit as he does towards most people with high energy, jealousy would likely be at play.

As for Celia, Ricky would probably have little opinion of her, but would not be against trying to play tricks on her should she portray an attitude towards him. Sylvio would probably respect Celia quite a bit and would receive her quite well should she try and talk to him.

As a whole, the Culpesso family would probably think quite down on the Avellini's, considering their history of trouble.

Well the names BossMan but y'all gotta call me Mr. BossMan ya got that! Nah, just kiddin, call me what you want. Now I'm kinda a laid back and chill person. I don't like to argue and I can take a joke. I don't have many friends but those I do have love me. Some people would call me a country boy and I think there right. I'm proud of it too!

I like to fish, I wish I could hunt more and I love camping. Music wise, Hank Jr, Waylon Jennings and damn near every classic rock band keeps me Rollin. I'm not a good student in school, kinda the jokester. But that's all over and done with because I graduated last year. I was going to enlist in the Marine Corps but I backed out before that ship sailed sadly. So now I spend my spare time watching movies, playing games, and basically being a bum.

My dad got in my ass though and I plan on enlisting in the Army come next fall. I'm happy to meet all of you and get to know y'all better. I reckon this roleplay will be fun and I hope it is for all of y'all too!

I'll admit, I've only started roleplaying around my junior year in highschool. Honestly I don't even know how or why I started. My first roleplay experience was on a Star Wars site that I'm still semi active in. It's weird though because I'm not a big fan of Star Wars. It's okay but just not my cup of tea I guess. I happen to like fantasy more than SciFi to be honest.

Now I'm not the best writer and I'll be the first to admit it. I half ass wish I paid more attention to all of my various English teachers. Simply because I do love to write, and most people who know me would not expect that. Hell I still haven't even told my friends I roleplay cause they'd just laugh at me.

Yess I can totally see how that healing event would have put a large strain on their relationship immediately afterwards. I think it makes sense for Ambrose to have been the one to break up with Adela, since it's his sister that was jeopardized in that situation. Also, I can definitely see why Adela would be attracted to Ambrose in the first place, as he has quite a complex personality, and she wouldn't be able to help but try to figure him out.

Thus, when he breaks up with her, although the reason that he gives her would probably be his sister/the healing event, Adela would still be rather confused because she knows there's more to it. On one hand, she would be understanding b/c she knows how much Ambrose loves and protects his sister. But on the other hand, she'll be rather bitter/upset about it b/c she thought that they would be able to work through this together, but Ambrose cut things off instead. Depending on how the actual breakup went, she may have said a couple hurtful things in the moment that she didn't truly mean. So yes, I believe things would still be bitter as well as awkward and cordial at the beginning of the RP.

Also, given how emotional Adela is, she would have taken the breakup quite hard I think. She likely would have cut him out of her life immediately following the breakup in order to get over him (not sure how Ambrose would react to this), but after a few months to lick her wounds, she could probably be at least acquaintances again

How long should they have dated for and how recent should the breakup have been? Maybe dated for 1-2 years and broke up a few months ago? Something along those lines!

Yes, Alexis and Adela are very similar, so I can see them becoming very close friends. Maybe through Alexis, Adela and Thalia would have at least been friendly with each other? Although Adela and Thalia have rather polar personalities, but maybe through their shared friendship with Alexis, they have learned to somewhat appreciate each other's companies?

Also, this is just a thought, but Augustine (Adela's twin) has recently started training to become a Protector, so do you think he would have some run-ins with Thalia's criminal tendencies? Perhaps she moved to Bordissa around the same time he started his training. This would depend on whether or not Thalia continued to steal in Bordissa, or if she really did switch into a more honest line of work

Because Elizabeth and Adela are both dreamweavers for the main purpose of healing, I think they would have crossed paths at some point and bonded over their shared abilities. Also, I think it would make sense for Xander and Elizabeth to have brought their ill father to the herbal shop run by Adela's mother at some point for some herbal remedies. Adela helps out at this herbal shop by using her Sognial magic to create warm, happy illusions to aide mental pain as well as offer a peaceful sleep, so perhaps this is where she first met the twins?

Also, after Adela finds out that Elizabeth and Xander are from Meridania, she would be very intrigued to hear about their travels and stories, which could further their relationships. This would probably be a refreshing change of attitude for the twins, being from Meridania and all.

For some reason, I can see Adela and Ricky became very close friends honestly. I think their personalities have just the right amount of differences and similarities. She would be quite fond of his optimism and be able to discern his modesty and kindness. They both have this urge to be there for others, as they are often the first people to console someone who is upset. Whereas Ricky is hotheaded, impulsive, and a poor reader, Adela is more soft-spoken, observant, and enjoys reading. Likewise, whereas Adela cracks under pressure and may lash out in stressful situations, Ricky stays calm and fearless. So I think their strengths and weaknesses complement each other well. Also, neither of them use their magic for combative or harmful purposes. His heavy dependence on charms would also make it Adela's life mission to convince him that he can still be his same old confident self without them.

I know you said that parents may view Ricky as a little off and traditional kids would shun him, but Adela is naturally drawn to those who are different. Perhaps they were each other's first friends and grew up throughout their childhood together? Although I do think Adela's mother would be completely okay with her becoming friends with Ricky, Adela's father may have some qualms. Anyway, let me know what you think b/c we could totally go a different route as well!
