its hard to make a plan when I ain't done the big ol' bastard of a ruleset.
I just hit charms, keep in mind I'm not just makeing a character here but learning a full damn new beast so suggestions o0nly go so far without knowing how they actually work.

I recommend ignoring mass combat, and for social combat... well I haven't seen any games really use those rules as written. If you want to learn more about those, I'd recommend waiting until you got your feet wet. The biggest thing to wrap your head around is rolls are a number of d10s where you accumulate a success for every number above 7 (2 if it's 10 for everything but damage unless you have magic that says otherwise.) That bolded phrase can feel like most of how this game ACTUALLY works by the way, but try to focus on accumulating tricks that move you toward realizing your concept.

Yep, that's basically it. Things you may want to look at are resolving attacks, parry dv, dodge dv, soaks, hardness, and rate. Rate is mostly important for flurries which let you take a penalty to attempt multiple attacks or actions at once.

Alright.. gonna put down the book for awhile.. but.. i think i'm definitely going for magic, even though the listing in the book is kinda sparse, at leats at that point in the book.. still like.. 160 something pages to go.

There are a couple of different books that have sorcery in them. The Core book has a few, and then there is the White and Black Treatise. The Treatise has the bulk of the sorcery spells in it. Just remember that since you are starting at Essence 3 in this game, you qualify for Terrestrial Circle spells now. In order to get Celestial Circle, you need to up your Essence to 4. Solar Circle is beyond the ability of a Lunar to get.

There are a few spells that I would recommend. Flying Guillotine has a great range, and does a lot of base damage. Virtuous Guardian of Flame is a good defense spell. Summon Elemental or Summon Demon of the First Circle are two of the most useful spells there are. Countermagic is a must have, and Banish Demon is quite useful. Just some suggestions for you.

Doesn't summoning demons and elementals come with abit of a "Oh shit this is kinda like slavery." stipulation?

If you treat your summoned elemental well, you can get more done with it. If you are hostile to your help, then it gets back to the various elemental courts that you are a futzburger, and you'll have to fight your summoned creatures to get them to do what you want.
Demons, on the other hand, you can be a total jerk to them and no one really cares.

The Ritual of Elemental Empowerment is a very handy support spell. It lets you get your mundane gear buffed up to near Artifact levels with the different Elemental Benedictions you can apply. Then there is Theft of Memory. I like that one, too.
When you purchase the Charm of Terrestrial or its upgrade of Celestial Circle, you get a spell of that Circle for free with it. You can then exchange out your other Charms on a 1-for-1 basis to buy more spells, and there is the option to buy more with your bonus points.

so basicly i'd get that done during charms... i've.. also noticed everyone has some sorta heart blood thing, I think I'm missing soem peice of the pre constructed puzzle.

Hearts Blood is in your Backgrounds. This represents your library of available other shapes you can shift into besides your True Forms of Human and your Totem form (and your Deadly Beast Form, if you take DBT as a Knack). If you don't have any dots of Hearts Blood, you don't know any other forms, but you can always learn more during the course of play.

Don't forget that there are size restrictions on what you can take unless you get the right Knacks. You can't get smaller than a cat without Humble Mouse Shape, and anything smaller than that needs Emerald Grasshopper Form. Going larger than a horse needs Towering Beast Form.
