One thing that I wish Exalted had come up with is a Martial Art Style that is focused on the bow. The closest thing that I know of to that is the Righteous Devil Style that uses flamepieces.

now that'd be cool...One thing that I wish Exalted had come up with is a Martial Art Style that is focused on the bow. The closest thing that I know of to that is the Righteous Devil Style that uses flamepieces.
thanks for the help. From what i read lunbars have the prompensity towards face to face combatA little countermagic can definitely go a long way, if you decide to go that route. And being a Lunar you'll still have access to the Celestial circle, allowing you to outclass most sorcerers we'll most likely happen across.
I will advise that if you go ranged, you'll want to be attentive to the charms, as many of the Lunar charms emphasize closeness or buffing hand-to-hand combat. That being said, Lunar movement charms should serve well for helping you to establish (and continue) keeping space between yourself and the enemy. And Lunar shapechanging grants access to plenty of flying options that are normally not accessible, making ranged flying combat (or flying to hard to reach places) viable options. If my memory serves me right, there should be a charm or two that serve purely to help out Lunars that choose to fight from range; I'll have to comb back through their charm section to find it (if I do, I'll tag you to let you know what it/they are).
hmm, charms are basicly the extra parts you can do, or are they just plain bonuses? bloody trying to balance reading and makeing dinner son ahven't gotten to that part.. damn setting ramble is way to big for a rulebook.Generally true, but even with just a couple of Dexterity Charms, you can hit with some solid damage from a long way off.
ain't no problem with two of a good thing.Indeed. That all depends on if you want to try and split off some Charms for Sorcery spells or not. I do have an NPC that is a mage that does have a bow for his weapon, but his focus is on the magic side of things and not the Archery one.
You'll need to spend the action moving.Am I close enough that I could engage one of the enemies in combat, or do I need to spend an action moving?
judging from how many more martial characters there are around here, perhaps leanign towards spell castign rather than shootin might be better, that largely deals with mental and social attributes yea? Social may also help, cause yea know. You'll need to spend the action moving.
Cool, trying to get skills right at the moment... Each bracket of skill is favored by certain caste, but are attributed to dawn, zenith, twilight, night and eclipse. apparently being lunar it means certain ones are easier more me to raise.. however they do not list on the page which is attributed to lunar caste, how inefficient!Very true. I can see a place for such a character here. Its up to you.
I see, I'll keep it in mind. Each caste is really adaptable in their own way. Take a look at the anima powers real quick and see if any of them seem like something you really want or need. Even charms within attributes have quite a lot of breadth in their usefulness.
I concur with Psychie btw, Dex is a bit of a God stat in the Exalted series.
Any thoughts on what path you're taking?I see, I'll keep it in mind.
I still have to chew through most the damn book... just got a tad lost on skills and my desire to build as I got is hard to make leave,.
