Of course Saito, her contracted demon, has to come in and save her every now and again. Personality:

Saito is very protective, especially when he is with Yumiko. He can also get violent and he tends to often get himself into fights. But, he would never make a girl cry; he usually only gets violent and rough with guys. He can be clueless and forgetful at times and he is not a big fan of talking to others. Despite this, he is very empathetic and wary of others' feelings. He has a kindhearted and gentle side to him and an unexpected weak spot for animals. Saito can actually get embarrassed if you point out his few weaknesses. One in particular is his fear of heights. He is a bit immature, childish and he can be playful at times. He is headstrong, stoic, but not that open or trusting. He used to be cold and kind of a loner, but his contracted human doesn't let him act that way, although that side of him sometimes shows.

Although she can seem very shy, Aiyana is just very trusting and trustworthy so it takes time for her to warm up to someone. Yet when she does you get to see her for who she really is. She is very sweet and loving to almost every living creature (except spiders and caterpillars they creep her out just a bit too much). Aiyana is also gentle and comforting, always opening her arms for those in need of help or support. That said, she is a teenage girl so she can get a temper sometimes.

"I actually don't know that much about where I came from. Ever since I could remember Syl has been my caretaker. We weren't alone of course, Syl and I lived with a small group of traveler's both made of humans and two other humans who had made contracts with demons. While Syl taught me more about the gifts I possess and the power he had given me, the traveler's taught me the ways to survive, even giving me a well balanced education. It was great growing up where I did, even with the troubles we faced sometimes. I mean Syl and I traveled the whole world and back. By the time I was 14, it came to a time when Syl and I had made enough money to live on our own, of course the traveler's wished us well and hoped we would of stayed, but there was something I always wanted to discover: where did I come from? So we set out and are still trying to figure out who my parents are. I mean I know Syl probably knows but because of the contract he made with my parents that was transferred onto me he is never allowed to speak a word of my origins or about my family."

"You see my powers do relate to my title like any other demon. Any type of flora and fauna, mortal realm or hellbeast, can be controlled, created, manipulated, or destroyed by my finger tips. I too can control the shadows but my abilities is proven to appear more as thick black tendrils that wrap around my prey making quiet and easy captures. Manipulation of earth or earth bending as you weaklings call it is something I also posses and yes using my vines I can ensnare a mind. Finally as an intellectual my brain gives me the ability to see many possible future outcomes which I have shared with Shiroibara as a gift in our contract. In honesty who knows if there is more for me to learn? I mean I've only shared a quarter of the power I already posses"

Sylvain is definitely hard to warm up too. Other than to Aiyana, he is a trickster who likes to pull pranks on people and enjoys the emotional auras of those in depression, fear, or anger. That is, Sylvain likes to put on the mask of a charmer to fool those who try can see his more darker side. Of course he let's that mask fall every now and then but Sylvain has Aiyana there to cover for him.
