Realistic or Modern Just a Petty Criminal

(Nope, your reply didn’t come through Silver. :) )

Alexander looked over at her with a small smile. “Alright,” he said and held his hands up, catching the hint that she didn’t want to talk about it. Then he went back to his mac’n’cheese. He put it in his mouth, but had to cover his mouth when she told that he was better off without them, trying not to chuckle.

“Thank you, but… I was not actually in a circus,” he admitted, and the corner of his lip lifted playfully. “I am gay though, that part was true.” And he had been kicked out of his home, although it had been by his parents and not some circus instructor. “I don’t have parrots either. Unfortunately.”

Skye's eyes widened slightly, "Awh, it sounded like something from a movie." She chuckled, "Either way, I don't understand how people these days can still outcast people for their sexual preference." Granted, Skye was straight, but she still got irritated when people were not accepting of the different.

"Lee...we are here." Davin said, his voice becoming stark and clipped. "I want all street cams on Gerard Way. No trace, no mess. I want all eyes on that warehouse." He looked up at the apartment building, empty just as he requested. "If Alex isn't here in an hour, I will drag him here myself." He griped, entering the lobby and elevator.

Agnes was relieved that Alexander let it go. As long as Skye didn't bother her about it, too. What she wasn't so relieved about was Alexander's little story. She narrowed her eyes at him, taking a long drink from her coffee. Logically, she knew that he'd been joking around and it was, more than likely, meant as an innocuous joke. But it also made him untrustworthy and Agnes more certain in her decision not to share much information. "Me neither," she said to Skye as she returned her focus to her food, which she shortly finished off.

Ares stood, his toes on the sidewalk, in front of him a small diner. She was not sure, what to do. I guess I could eat my food in there, he thought to himself, feeling a slight breeze through his hair. He stepped into the diner, pushing open a door very much like the one at the doughnut shop. He peeked in, one hand in his pocket, to make sure the food was still there. When he walked in, he looked to his left, and saw two females and a male teenager talking about some odd subject. He noticed that some of them were eating mac and cheese.

He walked in skimming around the area, the walls and all of the other areas around the diner. He looked around and chose a seat about 2 seats away from where the other people were eating. He sat down and unwrapped the pastry. He took one bite of the gooey muffin, the crunch of the crumble topping also making a difference in the texture. He slowly chewed the bit of food inside of his mouth.

Lee's expression fell flat as the reached their destination. It was time to move, no more fun and games. "Yeah, got it," was her reply. She went through what she had to do in her mind and produced her laptop from her backpack without further delay. Lee balanced the computer as she walked and started adjusting the camera angles.

Liam looked back and forth between them, not fully understanding what they were planning to do, but following them up anyway. He was itching to ask, but decided to hold off his curiosity for the time being. Leaning against the back of the elevator, he pretended to look at something on his phone as they went up.

Alexander finished off his pasta-good-ness as well. “Yeah, they weren’t the best of parents,” he said with a shrug of one shoulder. He send Agnes a small smile, she obviously hadn’t taken his joke well, too bad when he had only aimed to lighten the mood, he happened to do that whenever there was a darker subject - and especially when aimed at him.

He clapped his hands together. “Well, it was really nice to meet you two, bench-buddies, but I think I got to head off, I got somewhere to be…” he said, then he reached into his pants and got out a little slip of paper. “Seriously, don’t go sleeping on benches, if you ever need help again, give me a call. I might be able to hook you up… although it might still not be glamours work,” He admitted, correcting his hat. He was not exactly in the best situation himself, but he liked Agnes and Skye, they seemed like nice people.

He scribbled his number down on two pieces of paper and handed it to either one of them. “There you go, give me a call if you’re interested, m’kay?” he said, and then got up from his seat. He noticed a guy sitting close by, eating by himself, and he couldn’t help but check him out shortly, before he caught himself. No no, he was already late. He shook his head, waved to the girls and started heading out the door.

Mars had spent the majority of her time pickpocketing the unsuspecting victims that she passed by or bumped on her walk through the city. She had spotted an easy mark sleeping on a bench but before she could make a move someone else had showed up, so she left it at that. She had eventually decided to move on. She didn't really have anything to do for awhile. A little later on she headed to her usual cafe, and swiped the pocket of the guy that happened to be standing right by the door upon entering. The moment she did she recognized him from earlier but knew he hadn't seen her, so it was all good. She went to the counter and placed her order.

"This Marissa girl," Davin began to ask, "What connections does she have? And how did she enter and leave my building without my knowledge. I want her here. Now." He pressed the button for his floor, grabbing Will's hand in the process. "I need several stealthy theives. Not petty pickpocketeers."

Davin turned and smiled weakly at the two. "I'm glad both of you are here. I really couldn't ask for a better pair." he admitted, scratching his hairline. The urge was starting to take hold, but he knew that if William found out he was back on it the man would flip out of his designer jeans.

"Pair for what, exactly?" Liam asked, raising an eyebrow, deciding he couldn't wait any longer." Who are Marissa and Alex? And what exactly do you need me for anyway..." He added, looking at the man expectantly.

Alexander had not taken notice of the person who slipped past him at the door, and not even bat an eye as he lost his wallet that easily. Which was really something, since he had been living in this neighborhood for a while, and he had grown quite used to the stealth of pick-pocketers.

He had gone out to the street and hailed a cap so he could get to Davin’s place faster, but just before he could step into the car he noticed that something was missing from his pocket. “Wha- Huh? Ah no. You. Got. To be. Kidding me..” he whispered and dug deeper into the pockets, as if that would magically make the wallet appear again. Had he dropped it? Had he seriously dropped it? He spun around himself, to look in the direction he had come from.

No wallet… but he had had it in the café. Had someone seriously stolen it. He mumbled a curse and then texted Davin: ‘Sorry, someone snatched my wallet, gonna be a little late.’ He wrote, since he had to walk now. He was sure the thief had made his escape already.

Lee saw the button labelled 12 light up as Davin pressed it and the doors closed. She noticed he grabbed Will's hand and felt a frown settle on her face. Now that Davin had his "Queen" she felt like maybe this was the end of the line for her. Reduced to pawn status...Lee, do something with the cameras. Lee, teach the kid how to use weapons. Lee, call this person. She never thought the day would come where her usefulness would run out, but a small part of her had always feared it. But then when Davin expressed his gratitude, however awkward and minuscule, she knew she couldn't turn her back now or ever. For a rough-and-tough drug lord, he could be pretty okay...

Lee looked away awkwardly. "You don't have to say that, it's no big deal," she lied. "I've got nothing better to do anyways. Just don't get all touchy-feely on me, Dav. You know I hate that stuff." Lee mumbled, refusing to acknowledge her thankfulness for his gratitude. Then she returned to the subject on hand and shook her head. "I didn't do much digging, but she seems like just another low-level dealer. It's possible she works under Leon's chain of command, but I couldn't connect them. If she works for him, I doubt she's even seen the guy's face before. Alex and I were still in your apartment when we heard a knock, but when I got to the door there was no one- just the card. So I'd be wiling to bet she has some street smarts, choosing not to hang around for long or give away too much about herself." Lee paused. "But it also makes me nervous- we shouldn't be attracting too much attention so early into the operation. " She typed a bit more on her computer before looking up again. "But I'll give her a call if you want."

She had almost forgotten the Liam didn't know anything that had been going on. Lee glanced up at him and shrugged. "Well, guess I should come clean a little...I'm not just an art enthusiast," she said. "But I guess I'm not the only one with secrets," she said pointedly with a wry smile.

"You're gonna exercise that little skill for me....I'm hoping you could go from small time killer to a big time assasin." Davin said frankly, following Lee's confession with a smile. Feeling his phone buzz, he looked down at it and immediately saw red. Coming up on his floor, he pushed the two out and toward his apartment.

"Lee, fill him in on the plan and keep an eye out. Alex just got jacked." He said before the doors closed. As he descended, Davin punched the metal wall, leaving a small dent. A stream of blood leaked from a gash made in his hand. Ripping off the bottom of his shirt, he dressed the wound. "

"No one steals from my brethren." He seethed, walking from the lobby out into the street. A car, a 2002 Impala, swerved and stopped, an unknown mam stepping out. When approached, he swipped the man unconcious.

Taking his keys, Davin entered the vehicle and sped off--leaving a trail of loud Germanic swear words in his wake.

Mars got herself a caramel latte, paid with her stolen cash, and went and sat in the back of the cafe, but not before removing the rest of the cash and throwing away the wallet. 'All in a days work' she praised herself as she sat just behind a group of talkative people, just in case her mark showed back up here to look for his wallet.

After drinking about half of it and waiting around for a while and not seeing him return, she decided it was safe to leave. She still had awhile before she had to get to work, which she had decided she was gonna call off on. She wanted to have the day to herself and it seemed a waste of spend it in the casino, but then again that place was full of easy marks. For now, she decided to head back toward her apartment, but take the long way back in case there were some more easy targets walking about. This game never got old.

Running a few red lights, Davin pulled out his phone, texting Alex for his location. Continuing, he turn haphazardly, narrowly avoiding a junkie and his shopping cart.

Usually, Davin would just leave the matter be and replace the wallet contents. But, he couldn't have one of his own robbed and not do anything about it. Their respect would plummet drastically. He'd find the thief and recruit him or her...after beating the crud out of that person.

Alexander had put his hands into the pockets, watching as the cab drove away again as he had told the man he had no money. It was annoying since he had had his ID’s in the wallet as well… maybe Lee could make him some new ones. But what irked him the most was of course the money. He had had quite a bit of it in there, why had he been stupid enough to do that?

He looked down at his phone and saw Davin’s text. Getting honestly surprised. He wrote back to him where he was, was the man actually bothered to answer… and even pick him up from something like this? Wow. That was… surprisingly kind of him. This drug-dealer was full of surprises. He looked back toward the café, deciding to stay put for the pick-up. He noticed a girl walking out of there… the only one he had seen exit. But could it had happened in the café?

"An assassin." Liam stood there, expressionless as he mulled over the words. Several emotions surfaced within him, and he clenched and unclenched his fists, coming to a less than pleasant conclusion. So Davin wanted him to kill off his enemies for him, take care of the dirty work...

It was like the man hadn't even heard Liam explain his situation. What he did wasn't a skill...there was something wrong with him. He gritted his teeth, shaking his head as if to shake off the rage building inside him. Davin wanted to use him? Fine. He would show the European just how brutal he could be, just how ruthless.

He turned to Lee, smiling insidiously. "When do I start?"

Lee sighed as Davin ran off to save the boy. Sometimes she swore he didn't think things through. Lee shrugged and produced a key for the apartment, opening it and gesturing for Liam to enter. "Ladies first," she smirked. Though, it did cross her mind that perhaps he had a key...she really didn't know. Lee set her stuff down, her eyes still trained on the screen. "I'll explain stuff in a moment, after I make this call," she told Liam. Lee pulled up a few programs and checked to make sure everything was good- that her call couldn't be traced if this Marissa person was a trap, and she readied the voice warping program to change her pitch slightly. Then, she dialed the number, hoping the phone was valid.

"Sure," he said, snorting at her comment at the door.

Liam sauntered inside, not even bothering to look at his surroundings out of spite. He sat in a chair in the living room, pulling out one of his favorite knives and twirling it in his fingers, envisioning how he would dismember his first target. He discovered a time ago that he preferred knives to any other weapons. Guns were too obvious, and the blades he carried he could take anywhere discreetly on his persona. Plus, knives just fit with his style-lithe and deadly.

Skye smiled at the paper with his number on it, it actually meant a lot. Unable to admit it, she slept outside often. At least she wasn't alone, that was one thing she couldn't stand. Sleeping on a bench at least meant passing people would see, sleeping in her apartment meant she would have to sit with her own thoughts as usual, in silence.

Upon recieving the text, Dav switched his direction to get to the cafe. It wasn't that far from where he was, so when he saw the blonde standing and looking dumbfound he slid to a stop, emerging from his car instantaneously. "Where did you use cash last? And, who passed near you that you know of?" He barked out. At the moment, davin wasn't pleased at all.

Alexander glanced up when Davin exited the car and he frowned a little in surprise over the obvious dismay on the man’s face, for something like Alexander’s wallet. This man just kept surprising him. He tilted his hat up a bit so he could look at him better. “Um.. well, I bought Mac’n’Cheese for some friends and my wallet got taken, but it went fast, I barely registered it happen..” he admitted. “I saw a girl exit the café, but I don’t really know if it was her to be honest…” he said, looking over to where he had seen her walk. He was sure she hadn’t gotten far, but it was a long shot.

Then he sighed and shook his head, smiling hesitantly. “Something like this have happened before.. I will just get a new one. Thank you for coming though,” he said.

Mars decided to head to the skate park that wasn't too far off. She could easily make a couple hundred over there, and then she would probably take her sweet time heading over to the casino. It wasn't like she really water to work today, but she couldn't really turn down the opportunity to cheat so many people out of their money. It kept her skills sharp and she loved the opportunity to get one over on someone, and the riskier the target the more fun it was.

"Damn that guy had a lot of money," she said to herself as she thought about her last mark. She made her way to the skate park and hung out with the guys there, chatted, flirted, and made a few sales before leaving and slowly walking through the rest of the park, taking in the sights. The city was beautiful on the surface and almost seemed a little harmonic, but since she knew the darkness that lies within it, she couldn't help but chuckle aloud to herself.
