Fandom Journey to the Unknown Lands

A Blaziken Gijinka suddenly stood up and marched to the podium where she inspected the crowd, noticing the Aggron, the hidden Sableye and Dewgong as possible threats, she smirked before looking to the Representatives. "I am Ashe, and i'm going to be destroying anyone who dares get in my way. You want to know why your people have disappeared while investigating the Badlands? Because they were weak, just like all of you are. If it wasn't for King Bronson I'd have defeated all of you and be halfway into the Badlands by now, but because of him i'm stuck with you all, so don't get in my way and we'll have a lot less bodies to deal with." She scowled before storming offstage, walking past the group.

Neo and Mex looked at each other and shared a moment of silent conversation. "If you think it's okay to tell Cali, then fine." Neo looked to Caligo. "Mex and I share our senses. I can feel anything he does and he can speak to me directly. The reason he can understand our conversations is because he hears through me. Like I said earlier, he's a part of me." Neo looked over and saw the group forming. "I don't think we'll be welcome in that group." Neo pointed at Tsuki and the others. "Want to head over to the edge of the unknown lands? I mean we ARE only fifteen minutes away." Neo pointed over his shoulder with his thumb.
Claudia watched Xerses go over to the representative from the grass kingdom. A dark skinned woman with long black hair. Claudia smiled before running over. "Hey, come join us!" She smiled brightly as she took the girls hand and started walking her back to the group. As she brought Desiree to the stage it Claudia was struck with an idea. "I've got it! We can gather everyone and get to know each other over sweets!" Claudia smiled as she pulled out boxes from her bag. As she opened them up, they were filled to the brim with pastries, candy, and other sweets. She started running around gathering up the other representatives, except for the two with golems out of fear, dragging them over to enjoy time together and get to know one another. "There we go! Now everyone can be friends!"

Caligo listened intently as Neo explained how the link between him and Mex worked. "So he hears what you hear, but he doesn't actually hear..." Caligo mused. She tried to imagine what that would be like, but found it difficult. Not using your own senses yet getting all the information. It was a fascinating concept to her. She frowned slightly at Neo's statement about the other representatives. "We won't know unless we talk to them." Nox picked her up and placed her on his shoulder as she spoke. The golem began lumbering towards the group, unintentionally blocking the path of a fierce looking blaziken. Caligo looked down at the woman. "Where are you going? Aren't we meant to work as a group?" She asked innocently. Caligo had been to preoccupied speaking to Neo to hear the introduction that Ashe had given. Caligo snapped her fingers when she thought she had it figured out. "You're going to the toilet. Is it that time?" She asked, noticing the scowl on the blaziken's face.

Ashe growled as Embers sparked off her. "I'll pretend i didn't hear that. I'm going to scout ahead by myself, if you don't move of out of the way, I'll burn you down." She warned as her hands tightened into fists, Apex sighing and standing up. "Nox, Can you let Ashe go? Perhaps she just needs air." Ashe gritted her teeth. "Shut it Old Man!" She yelled as Apex simply glared in response.

"I suppose that answers my question." Caligo said with a small giggle. She tapped Nox's shoulder. "You heard the man Nox, let the lady pass." Nox gave a strangled sound in reply before doing as Caligo instructed. Caligo tried her best to hide her laughter. She was glad that no one else understood Nox at that moment. The golem could be quite crude when he wanted to. "I can't say you're wrong." She said to her companion, clearly struggling not to laugh. She took a few breaths to calm down before facing the rest of the group again. "I don't think I've introduced myself properly to you all. I am Caligo, the Fairy Kingdom representative." She then gestured to the golem she was seated on. "This is Nox. We hope that we can all work together and solve the crisis that the Badlands have caused." Caligo hated being so formal, but she knew first impressions mattered. The fact that she had gone to Neo first may have already jeopardized the others' opinions of her and Nox.

Xerses watched as the Audino girl started gathering all of the reperesentants, deciding to join them he sat down next to the Trevenant girl he'd recently helped, however he kindly denied when the Audino girl handed him the sweets and instead pulled out his bag of gems and started chewing down on a ruby, he sat and watched as everyone started talking with each other, he watched as the Blaziken girl decided to leave, and he wasn't planning to stop her, however as he felt the ferocity of her he stood up, ready to run or defend anyone if necessary. When the supposed Mawile girl let the Blaziken leave though, he sat back down and listened to her introduction whilst chewing on an amethyst.

Désirée gasped when she was suddenly pulled away by a girl in pink, shoved into the group of representatives and offered sweets. She hesitantly took a piece of chocolate between her index finger and thumb, looking at it before taking a bite. After a loud rant by an angry Blaziken woman, the small figure—that in which Désirée identified as a Sableye—sat beside her. She gave him a rather small smile, but still a bit of emotion nonetheless. A Mawile with a large black figure spoke, as did the Audino again. The Trevenant remained standing where she was in the group, still not saying a word as she tucked her chin once more into her dark scarf.

Neo shook his head as the group socialized. He wasnt interested in friendships. As he listened to Mex pointing out the mega blaziken walking way, he decided that she had the right plan. He felt the gears in his and mex's bodies change and they moved faster. They were beside the woman in seconds. "Scouting?" It was the only thing Neo said as the three walked.

@Taur Caliso

Claudia hid behind Tsuki as Nox and Caligo approached. She was terrified. Even after explaining they were from the fairy kingdom Claudia felt nervous. She felt an aura of danger around her even more so that the mega blaziken that had left with the steel rep. "Would you like a crepe?" Claudia offered the box of sweets to Caligo. "And anyone whod like one can have one as well. Ive got chocolate, banana, strawberry and blueberry." As she played the hostess, Claudia got more comfortable before she sat down between Apex and Tallula with her own special crepe that had a mixture of chocolate, caramel, cream, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. "Yum!" She smiled as the extremely sweet concoction entered her mouth.

Tsuki looked between Claudia and the newly introduced Fairy rep. Sure, the thing was big, but that didn't mean anything. Size didn't equal strength. She knew better than to voice these thoughts. She would prefer not to test the validity in them. She happily took the sweet snack that Claudia offered and bit into it. "This is really good!" Tsuki exclaimed, completely forgetting the previous comment on her breasts... or lack thereof. She had a new respect for the other girl. Or rather, a new opinion. Tsuki decided that Claudia didn't think much before she spoke, but was innocent at heart and meant no harm. Tsuki's opinion on the other representatives was still undecided for the most part. The blaziken seemed brash and cocky. The sableye was silent to the point that it creeped Tsuki out. The trevenant was also quiet, but she seemed different from the sableye. Tsuki hadn't formulated her opinion of Droll yet. At least he had introduced himself normally, as did Apex. She knew so little about each of the other representatives, yet she was meant to trust them enough to travel with them? It was a worrisome thought.

Caligo smiled at the offer of food. She slid down Nox's arm as if it was a slide. Landing on her feet, she took two of the sweet treats. She held one out to Nox before digging into her own. She was hungry and the food was good. "Thanks for this." She said to Claudia, wiping her mouth with her sleeve. She watched Neo leave with a slight frown on her face. 'Maybe he isn't good with crowds', she considered. She could understand why. He had probably received many reactions like the one Claudia had: run and hide. People were afraid of what they didn't understand. It would cause a fight of flight reflex. Being the cause of that would cause any child trauma. Caligo felt bad for not thinking about it sooner. She didn't know how her actions would affect their relationship. They were just acquaintances, but she had said that they should stick together. That plan had already gone out the window. Caligo gave a small sigh and plopped onto the floor. "Oh, and Nox won't hurt you. He's pretty careful about where he steps." She told the representatives who looked worried about the giant's presence. "So you don't need to be scared or intimidated or anything. It's not like we chose to be made this way." She said with a slight shrug. She doubted her words would do much, but it was worth a shot.

"Young Miss Blaidd!" Tsuki's head snapped towards the sound. It was rare for people to call her by her family name. She saw a messenger who was hired by her family running towards her. She frowned when she noticed the man's expression. "Miss Blaidd, you must return home immediately." The messenger stated, his voice as grim as his features. "What has happened?" She asked, worry evident in her voice. "Your mother has suddenly become very ill and your father has... lost his mind. He's gone crazy ma'am." The messenger explained. "Crazy? How so?" Tsuki was somewhat sceptical. She had seen her parents only a few days ago and they were just fine. "Nothing he says makes sense. He goes on unexpected rampages, destroying everything in his path. Several workers have been injured." The messenger then seemed to remember something. He took out a sealed envelope and handed it to Tuski. "Here. Your mother said to give you this." Tsuki broke the seal and read the letter inside quickly. "They already have a new representative lined up, huh..." She muttered, tears beginning to roll down her cheeks. She nodded to the messenger before grabbing her bag and running towards the exit.

Talia was confused. They were there to go into the unknown lands and stop whatever it was, but here they were having a party. "What is with this bullshit?!" Talia was louder than she expected when she said this. She glared at each of the representatives, they looked like they all had their stories, but they were taking this too easy. "How can all of you sit here eating like there's nothing going on? Are you all that stupid or just uncaring towards your kingdoms?!" Talia growled. "If you all want to sit here and fill your faces full of sweets go ahead, but I am going to go do the mission that I have to do. That way I can get home already!" Talia had been put into a catch twenty-two and didn't even want to be out here. She just wanted to finish this mission and be done with it. She wanted to see Tania again. Talia clutched her necklace as she chased after the two gijinka that had gone off scouting.

Crimson chuckles as the female blaziken goes up onto the stage and so publicly proclaims how she would defeat them all without even blinking an eye. As a blaziken himself, fire and fighting was deep rooted into his system and he wasn't going to just let that go unanswered. He stands up before she walks away, while eating one of the sweets passed out by the small, bubbly girl and shouts to her. "Pretty big talk woman! You claim to be able to defeat all of us in one go and just be done with it. I doubt you could defeat the damn fairy over there much less anyone else! Get over here and we will see if your fists are as powerful as you claim them to be. I will show you who is the superior blaziken. I will match you blow for blow and beat you down into the ground where you can learn some humility!" To emphasize this point, Crimson cracks his knuckles and neck as loud as he could. There was no way he was just going to let this female talk down to him like a dog and simply get away with it like it was all good. She was either going to walk away swallowing her words or swallowing her blood.

Xerses watched as the big beast walked away from the rest of the group, he felt bad for it, he wasn't sure why, he just knew that there was something about it that made him worry about it, he stood up and started to follow it, eventually he catched up to it and stood in front of it, he searched in his bag and pulled out a nearly pitch-black onyx and handed it to the big creature, he had to stand on his toes to reach and not even that helped a lot, even though the gem was dark, it didn't absorb the light but reflected it with an almost perfect glimmer. Once the beast had taken the gem Xerses stood back down and walked back to the group, sitting back down next to the Trevenant, Xerses had always found himself a lot more comfortable around fellow ghost and dark types, and even though he knew that the Mawile wasn't really either of those, he couldn't help but feel like it was almost like a fellow dark type.

Nox leant down further to be slightly closer to Xerses' hight. He carefully took the gem that the sableye offered. He brought it up to his eye, noticing the sparkle rather than any colour the gem may have had. He gave Xerses a gurgle as thanks before reaching for the compartment in his belly. "Woah there Nox." Caligo quickly stopped him when she noticed what he was doing. "I don't think these folks will take well to you having no... innards." She said in a hushed tone. "I can hold on to it until you get a moment alone, alright?" Nox grumbled a bit, but placed the gem into Caligo's outstretched hand. The girl then looked the gem over herself. It caught the light on it's polished surface. "This is really cool. Did you thank whoever gave it to you?" Caligo reminded Nox. Nox gave a chocked sound. "Right. They probably didn't understand. Want me to tell them?" With another strange noise from the giant, the two walked over to where Xerses sat with another gijinka. "Nox wanted to say thank you for the gem." She informed the smaller boy. She stuck her hand out in greeting. "I'm Caligo, by the way. I don't think I got your name." She tilted her head to the side, looking at the dark skinned girl next to the sableye. "Or yours, for that matter. Then again, I have a bad memory." She said with a small smile.

Kuro glided through the air, using the warm air pockets to keep him afloat with minimal effort. He had to conserve as much energy as he could. He knew there was a long journey ahead of him. Seeing the place that had been marked on his map, Kuro circled to land. Once on the ground, he folded his wings and stretched. He was not far from the area where the rest would already be gathered, but he didn't want to land in the middle of them. It would draw a lot of unwanted attention. Kuro made his way towards the gathering place. He could hear the voices of people conversing. He was glad they hadn't left already. It would have been far more difficult to find them if they had. He gave a cough before entering the area. As he looked around, he realised that he didn't feel well. It wasn't the usual sicknesses, but a churning in his gut. Seeing so many people made him nervous. Not to mention, he was late and they had all seemed to be grouped already. He took a deep breath before slowly; somewhat timidly; walking towards the others.

Droll kind of just stood there as the furious female ranted and then made her way elsewhere. He felt like he should of thrown his two cents in, but he wouldn't really have anything to stand on. She was right, they were diddling around, we should be taking action right now instead of playing tea party. Sure, it was nice to mingle before whatever they're going after slaughters them, but now was not the time to have idol chit-chat. He just casually left the cloud of conversation and made his way off stage. Droll floated in the direction where the woman ran off. He wasn't sure what was encouraging himself to do this, but he was probably sure it was tits. Yeah, that sounded about right. It could be Lady Mona's tits or this boneheaded woman's tits, he guessed it was just tits in general.

Xerses held out his hand towards the girl to grab hers, however pulled it back when he thought about his claws, and instead once again brought it down to the ground and wrote his name in the ground and looked up at the girl with a small purr in the back of his throat. His ears twitched as he heard someone coming from the shrubbery, he didn't know if it was friend or foe, however he'd always learned to be the one to strike first, so he decided to Shadow Sneak and see who, or what, it was, he reappeared on top of a branch behind the unknown gijinka and prepared a Shadow Claw, when he saw that it was a dark-type, a Hydreigon, he reconsidered throwing the Shadow Claw, and instead jumped down onto the ground, keeping the Shadow Claw alive he approached the new gijinka with a growl.

@KiKi Kitsune

Caligo frowned slightly when the sableye brought his hand away from hers. Maybe he had noticed the metal on her knuckles and didn't want to get hurt. Looking over the boy again, she noticed that his hands had sharper looking claws than her own. She then word scratched into the floor. "Xerses? Is that your name?" She asked, looking up only to notice the absence of the gijinka. "Well then..." Caligo looked around. She pulled a strand of her hair to her nose and sniffed it. She furrowed her brow. "I don't think I smell. Hey Nox-" She paused. "Actually, never mind." Nox didn't even have a nose.

Kuro stepped back in surprise. The other gijinka had appeared out of nowhere. Not to mention, quite clearly hostile. Kuro could see the attack ready in the sableye's hand. He didn't know what else to do, so he just put his hands up defensively. "I am the Dark Representative." He said to the small boy. Hopefully that explanation would be enough to calm the sableye. If not, Kuro would take to the air. As far as he knew, sableye couldn't fly. If he could say one thing, it was that he wasn't expecting his first encounter with another to happen as it did.

When Xerses heard that the new gijinka was the new representant for the Dark kingdom the Shadow Claw dissipated and he stood up straight with a less tense facial expression, he walked over to the Hydreigon, pulled out his bag of gems and picked up a purple piece of scapolite and handed it to the gijinka, he then walked past the man and returned to the group. He looked around for the Mawile girl that he'd so abruptly left behind and walked back to her, he didn't feel like he'd need to explain why he'd left since the Hydreigon would most likely join the group pretty soon.

@KiKi Kitsune

Kuro took the gem but was confused by the other's actions. First the sableye was about to attack him, and then he gave Kuro a gift. Something as precious as a gem. Kuro knew little about the shiny stones except that they usually sold for a high price. For the sableye to so casually give him one must have meant something. Or so Kuro thought. Then again, he had no idea how others thought. The sudden change in personality from the other gijinka may be normal. If that was the case, Kuro didn't think he would be able to keep up easily. He took some deep breaths. The surprise and possible threat had increased his heart rate and breathing, causing his chest to tighten. Once it was back to normal, he placed the gem in his pocket and carried on walking towards the group of gijinkas that were clumped together. After doing a quick head count, he noticed some were missing. About three or four. He couldn't tell exactly since they were moving around. He then saw the sableye he had just encountered near another fairly short gijinka and a giant black being. He had never seen something like that before, and while it intrigued him, it also scared him. He didn't think he would be comfortable near... whatever that thing was.

@minismurf

Caligo smiled as Xerses returned. "Where did you go?" She asked curiously. The boy's sudden disappearance had piqued her interest. She then saw where Xerses had come from. A stranger was nearby. "Who's that? Someone you know?" She had already guessed that Xerses didn't speak, but there was no harm in asking. Nox seemed fond of the small boy as well. The small act of kindness Xerses had shown was all it took.

Sonya watched as some poeple left and some people appeared. She sat there eating the pastry with the manners that had been drilled into her. She smiled as she tasted the small sweets. Sure, they were there to do a mission, but that disnt mean they HAD to go then. Sonya sighed as she felt introductions were over. Even with the appearance of the new dark rep, she wasnt interested in it. "Well, seeing as how thats the end of today's introductions should we get moving?"

Claudia felt disheartened that her idea had been met with such a poor reaction. She just nodded and started packing up the sweets while everyone readied themselves to head out.

The Oracle had been sitting at the edge of the group watching the other representatives trying to get a feeling of his new companions, so far he'd failed to get anywhere past: that one with the sweets is friendly, those two ladies are angry and the midget with the big beastie seems nice enough. Usually he judged a person's disposition by seeing their future actions, being stuck to the present was far too small a sample.

Spotting the friendly one packing away the sweets he jumped up and dashed over to her. "Hi, sorry I'm the psychic guy. I'm going after the second angry one, mind if I take a peace offering?" While he didn't think much of the Ground rep's untactful objection he was impatient to get going, grabbing a pair of the crepes the Espeon jogged after the bone wielding gijinka for a few moments before sprinting back to retrieve his forgotten pack.

Catching up with his selected companion the Oracle called out to her. "Hey, you probably shouldn't pass on stuff like this." He said holding out the treat to her until noticing that he'd accidentally crushed it a little in his hand. "Ah sorry, you can have the other one, there's no telling when we'll be able to get any more." Smiling shakily he thought to himself. Please don't hit me...please don't hit me.

To the untrained eye, Sirris would appear to be sleeping, or just not paying attention. This could not be further from the truth.

Arms crossed against his chest, feet out in front of him, he sat at the back of where everyone was watching the assembled rulers, as they made their various speeches.

Idiots.

Why the hell was this necessary? It was all just generic crap that they were telling to those gathered, it held no meaning, and it would help nobody. It was probably just for themselves, to put on a good show and make themselves feel better about sending their best and brightest of to what could well be their deaths.

Talking of best and brightest, some already appeared to be making a show. Of course the normal was trying to be everyone's friend, though he saw two things that were very interesting. A great metallic golem with a small boy, and a dark monster accompanied by the fairy representative. Now, those two would be useful.

Of course a mega pokemon would be the impulsive one, claiming she could beat them all up herself. She could try.

Then again, she had a good idea, of getting going, and after seeing two more join her, he decided that he'd go too.

At breakneck speed, taking less than a second to join them, Sirris caught up and walked, installing, at their side, hands in his pockets as his gaze swept ahead.

The observer watched them all with a twisted smile upon his face. He'd watched the entirety of a show that these kingdoms had put before him. "18? That's all that these kingdoms are going to spend on me? I'm very much insulted." His voice was faint as if he wasn't speaking at all. And as if warped by some force outside the world, the voice changed. "Now now, these people are supposed to either be the best and most talented in their kingdom. Shouldn't WE put them to the test?" The figure that stood along the treeline laughed to itself. "Yes, let's give them a small taste of what their future holds." The onlooker let loose with a soft cackle as he began summoning. One, Two, Ten, Twenty, Thirty,.....Fifty black fireballs surrounded the individual. The being licked its lips as the fireballs began to fly. They landed near the representatives in massive explosions. They weren't magic, and they weren't a move that gijinka knew. These were this beast's creation. The fireballs pushed the people together. Their lives on the line as it brought them closer to the unknown lands. As the group of 18 rushed into the woods for shelter the voices of the being rang out throughout the land. "Welcome strangers, to our home." The laughter that echoed in each of the representatives mind was that of a madman, but at the same time it was terrifyingly solid and dominating before them.

(welcome to the journey guys and gals. Free to interact with how your character responds to the black fire, however two things are restricted. The figure, cannot be identified. His presence there isn't there so to speak. And this leads to the second thing, no trying to attack this unknown figure. Everyone must end up pushed into the same location by these fireballs. However, other than those major two things, feel free to react how you see fit.)

Neo had barely had anytime to move when the fireballs began to fly out from the woods, but it was quick to see that they weren't aimed to hit anyone. They were pushing everyone towards the unknown lands. Shit, no time to scout it out. Then I guess it's blind work. Neo ran full speed with Mex close by as the entered into the woods that marked the unknown lands. As soon as he crossed, he heard voices coming from everywhere "welcome strangers to our home." It was a sneering comment as if the whole group was being looked down upon. Whatever attacked, it thought it was better than all of them. As Neo watched the others flooding into the forest, he took a moment to observe his surroundings. The unknown lands were full of trees that looked petrified, but were growing as if nothing was wrong. A thin fog rolled over the ground and it drift outside into the kingdoms, but not very far. There were no signs of life, not even the being that had attacked the group. "Damn it. Anyone hurt?" Neo called out to the other representatives, hoping that they had made it in without much harm, he may need them later. This place was eerie and even though he knew he had to take notes and make observations, it wasn't something that Neo wanted to do anymore.......

The Oracle felt the gem in his forehead pulse wildly a telltale sign of an impending vision. He saw one of the black fireballs splashing on the ground next to himself and the ground rep. Jumping forward he grabbed the female by the shoulders and pulled her to the side away from the fire making them both fall in the dirt.

"Sorry I thought that one was going to be closer." Pushing himself upright he offered her a hand. "We should find the others...I guess it might be better to spread out actually or maybe..." Catching himself he shook his head and finished. "Just lead on, I'll just follow you and hope I see whatever's actually about to kill us coming."
