Realistic or Modern Island Fever (Still Open Male Only)

Royal would've made a joke towards yet another surviving friend, but he was a little busy trying to cheer up Beth. He just gave a guilty look towards Jake although he knew full well that the majority of the time he'd been either frantically trying to get rid of the water, clumsily slipping into the ocean, or being passed out on the life raft. The childlike Royal had been freaking out the entire time up until they got to the beach, where an odd calm had appeared outf of nowhere for him. Still, he didn't say anything to Jake since the guilt trip had already begun inside his head and he felt more awful by the second.

Beth was unsure of what to feel at the moment happy she found her friends or sad that she might have lost someone.then a thought popped into her head.

"Jake!you just came off the boat, did you see Vicky anywhere?" she asked him her voice still just more then a wispier hope filled her head hopping that he said he saw her swimming or at least leaving the boat before it sank.she held her breath as she waited for an answer.

(I didn't get anyone's notification... Can someone catch me up? I know we got two more survivors... I will reply when I get off work...

( I was talking to Oakley, I just got to where everyone was making camp. Oakley was getting firewood.

"Well, I didn't see him anywhere... Which is quite an unfortunate fact, but we do have some silver linings left in here, and hopefully, maybe he's on the other side of the island."

He replied before sighing a breath of mild despair. Before putting his mind to work on the next possible stuff, which was pretty easy since the first priority was fire. He looked at royal before speaking, in a more straightforward tone.

"We need to make a fire, and for that, we may need dry barks, wood, twigs, leaves and stones. There should be some plants we can get some bindings out from, and there are a few hard stones around these place. We can fashion a crude spear or axe from it, but let's focus on that fact later, okay? We need to process the information that it may take months or years for a ship to come by around these mostly unexplored land. So, it looks like we're gonna have to get comfortable and get ready for the long run."

He finished before going on to search for some rocks. Since rocks do extend the life of a campfire.

Royal knew that Jake was right, but they needed shelter too. He wondered if they could make a few sort of shelters out of various branches and maybe some grass or something. As much as he would love having a fire, he thought since there were so many people that they could handle making a fire whilst he tried to make shelters. "Listen, you can make a fire but I'm gonna go and get stuff to make shelters that can probably fit two people a piece. Tschau." As he said the last word, Royal gave a little wave and started heading into the trees. He picked up sizeable sticks as he went, calculating how many shelters he'd have to make for everyone to have shelter. If his memory was serving him correctly, there were sixteen friends on this trip in all although not everyone has been seen on the island yet, so he'd have to make eight shelters even though one or two might not be used. As he was deep in thought, he collected larger sticks and paid little attention to his surroundings.

(And in case you're curious as to what kind of shelters Royal has in mind, then just take a look)

Beth saw as Jake and Royal went to go get supplies before she got up very slowly this time not wanting to feel like she got hit by a truck, so as she got up slowly only a small wave of dizziness fell over her.so besides herself being tired she gathered the few peaces of drift wood on the shore then went into the woods to find some tinder so they could get this fire going without any hiccups.as she walked through gathering bark and sticks and tinder she made sure she watched her surroundings so she would not get lost, because almost drowning has tired her out and she was not in the mood to get lost right now.

A mass of soggy clothing and tangled red hair rose out of the sea and clambered over the barnacle covered rocks. Though Victoria's vision was somewhat blurred by the loss of her glasses, she could tell that she was alone on this part of the beach or perhaps another side of it. Thanks to the moon's light she could also see along the beach and out across the dark waters. The looming forest on the opposite side, on the other hand, was shaded from the moon's pale glow and was still filled with the lingering midnight darkness.

She took a moment to rest on the sand, appreciating the solid ground beneath her feet, but only allowed herself to stay long enough to regain her strength. Once she figured she could walk again she forced herself to stand up and look for the others.

It was only when she began trudging along the shoreline did she finally start to feel the exhaustion of her swim. Her leg and arms protested against every step and her hands stung from where the rock had sawed into the flesh of her palms.

"Just a bit more." she would tell herself when she passed every tree. It seemed to work for the most part

After walking for a couple of minutes she suddenly heard the unmistakable echos of human voices. "The others!" Victoria said in relief, smiling.

Half-jogging, she hurried along the last stretch of the beach. When she could eventually see the distant shapes of her friends, she could tell that most of them were there but her nearsightedness prevented her from being able to tell just who was on the beach.She approached the one that was collecting rocks, which she discovered to be Jake when she got closer.

She had thought of what she would say to them when she eventually found them; something more on the lines of 'I told you so' or 'why didn't you listen to me.'.

Yet when it came time to speak all she found herself saying "Where's Gospel?".

Her face was pale, she was soaked to the bone and there were cuts all over her hands but her eyes still had a certain anger to them.

@Elephantom

She smiled and waved at the friends who had called her name and hopped over to them, "Holy shit." she said before giving one by one a squeeze. She looked over at a few more coming to shore and her eyebrows creased with worry.

"Is anyone hurt?" She called out before looking around without an answer. She looked at the starry sky and sighed, a fire would be nice. She took a hike along the waters edge for flint rock. She paused and her forehead creased in thought, picking up an odd rock with a grin, "Holy shit" she said again, "It's our lucky day!" she stood up and ran over to everyone rock in hand, "Does anyone have a steel pocket knife on them??" she asked before pulling up some dry weeds in the middle of the sand bed. She rolled it into a tinder nest, "Someone gab small twigs and branches, please" she shouted before squatting down and making a ti-pi of branches, the tinder nest just outside of the small entrance. Fire starting was a very important thing to know. If you are on the right terrain, you might just get a spark.

{@ anyone}

Royal had been roaming along the trees, but now he came back to where his friends were with a surprisingly big load of sticks and branches considering how weak he was physically. He tossed them down into a pile before beginning to arrange them in a tent-like shape against a tree. He was able to make three shelters before he ran out of material. Royal went back into the trees, shouting something back at his friend who clearly knew better than most what she was doing. "I'll get more sticks and stuff for fire when I'm done with the shelters! I've got five more to go and probably a trip or two before I've got that done!" He wandered around the trees again, picking up sticks and branches as he went along.

Gospel held a lopsided grin on his face."It's Bowser who usually steals the princess," he corrects Royal playfully, unable to stay serious for very long."I covered a few of the bases in cadets, lean-to's are easy enough but I'll probably have to show everyone else how to make their own or else it'll be a repeat of Junior year." He laughs, tearing yellowing grass from the ground. Suddenly, he stands up and disappears, calling over his shoulder something about having to take a piss.

There were voices when he returned, and Gospel couldn't help but mutter,"Holy shit..." He hadn't really considered the possibility of having killed his friends by crashing the boat.

((Sorry, I couldn't get online at all yesterday, so ignore my floundering for a moment))

Royal returned from the trees seeing and hearing Gospel. He began working on the last five shelters. "You know funny thing is I only know how to make this 'cus I ran away as a little kid and lived on the edge of my yard. I was quickly found but they let me stay there for a few days to 'show how much it really sucks'. Yeah, that didn't work out for them. I ended up living there for about a week and a half before they got my stubborn self back into the house for good." Royal laughed a little, remembering everything like it happened yesterday. That's another thing- he has incredible memory for the randomest or scariest shit. He can recall the exact minute that something happened, he can remember how it felt, where he was, and oddly specific details in his memories. But that really was a horrible talent to have when it came to nightmares, horrific sights, and terrifying incidents. He remembers it all- everything that is either random as fuck or made him cry with a childlike fear. Royal shook away the thoughts as he finished one more shelter. Four more to go.

(It's cool man :3)

@WantYourSoul

"I remember when that happened, your mom called my group home in a tizzy. The older kids took over the TV when I was supposed to be choosing the show. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was playing, I remember that." Poor, young, Gospel. All he wanted was to watch some mutant teenagers who were turtles.

He shrugs, carding a hand through his hair."Do we know what all we have for supplies? I saved my tequila, which is about the only important thing for me. And I bet I can get my smokes dried out soon enough-which is the best news any of you guys will be hearing from me." He grins and pats the still-dripping messenger bag that had been slung over his shoulder since the little boat had started taking on water.

Taking notice to the lean-to's being constructed, Gospel offers his help,"need any help with those? They'll hold up a lot better if we use some of the rope that was tied to the raft."

"So we have to sleep in that..on the ground?" Emily asked astounded. Were they really going to have to stay here the night, someone must have known they left her, agent must realize not answering her phone meant she was in danger. She was beginning to panic this whole thing was getting worse by the minute sure she was happy to be alive but alive and back home was better not stuck on an unknown island, she saw cast away it was only a matter of hours till she grew crazy and started talking to a coconut or something.
