Into the Fire

"Sorry." Damont said, assuring the other he was fine before taking the wyvern before he went and headed out of the ruins, looking over the plain that was between them and the tunnel that went through to the doors. He stretched out on the grass, staring up at the sun.

The warm breeze blew through the air as the same familiar chants for Alex came again for the village. He couldn't go back. Not until after the war. He needed to show his father he could support himself, he could fight for him self, and if his father didn't belive him, well forgetc being prince

Damont wasn't allowed to fall back asleep, Asher insisting he needed to eat, or at least that's what he assumed he was doing since he kept gesturing to go down to the village, and that's the only reason he went down there. Damont sighed, leaving Asher in the ruins and heading down to go get himself something to eat.

The village wasn't that worried as they should be, people giving up the search, as if nothing had been going on. They seemed quite calm, the same as any other day. Shops were open, kids were running around, all that good stuff. Kids laughed and cheered as they chased each other near the woods edge, parents shaking they're heads.

Damont had left Asher out of sight, taking the little he had and selling it off for money. He made more than enough to get himself some food, mostly thing you wouldn't have to cook since Asher tended to burn things. Sticking what he had in a bag, he made his way back towards the mountains, never staying in the village for too long and never talking to anyone.

Alexander grogroaned as his stomach began to growl, shifting as he rubbed it gently to satisfy his stomach. He grabbed the bbag hr had brought with him and grabbed some bread, feeding some to Blazer and then eating some himself. He smiled and looked at the dragon

By the time Damont had gotten back Asher was already pleased, and had eaten. He watched Damont occupy himself with cloud watching for the while. They'd be going out soon of course, but for now, hanging back and relaxing until the afternoon seemed like the best option.

Blazer was circling the mountain, the dragon nor being able to settle down. He's nerves were up, and he could feel something bad was going to happen. Something real bad was going to happen. The dragon gave a puff of smoke, his head high as he began to circle towards the tip and them back to the bottom.
