Into the Fire

As they arrived to this cliff like thing, Alex took a second to take a breath and smell the fresh air. Up here it didn't smell of peasants and dragon dung. The view was.. just.. perfect. Aw Xander had never seen past the village, smiling as he could see past the castle too. This was an amazing place. Why hadn't he ran away sooner? This place was perfect please to run to.

Asher's head raised, looking out over the skyline, it was...Nice. Him and Damont usually visited here on important days for the Village so they could watch the celebrations from here. It was fun, though it would've been more fun to be a part of the celebrations that watch. It didn't bother Damont too much, and as of now, there was no celebrating. Either way, even in the silence, no, with the silence- it was nice.

"I wish I would've ran away sooner." Alexander muttered aas Blazer stood back a bit, his heavy body wouldvery broke the cliff and made them fall, and Blazer couldn't live with Killin innocent people for nothing. Insteam, the age dragon stood back and watched the view from his point. Alexander smiled. "This must be the beautifulest place around.

Damont cocked his head when the other mentioned running away sooner. Was a view overhead all it took to get someone to run away from home? How weird, but he guessed that was simply how some people worked. At him last comment, Damont shrugged "You could say that." He muttered, he was sure there were better views but this was a close second to whatever those were.

"I had always heard these mountains were haunted by some mythical creature or something that guarded the mountain. I guess your the magical creature who had been causing the smoke come into the air." Alex smiled at Asher, seeing as the dragon could puff out smoke like the one described by the villagers.

Asher cocked his head, making a noise from his throat, Damont just chuckled and shook his head. Asher only blew out smoke when he was nervous or anxious. He wouldn't be surprised if this is what the villagers were seeing, but on the brighter side it kept them out of the mountains. Or, well, it did mostly. There were still the hunters but they didn't go far.

Blazer perked his head as he heard the familiar sound of wings returning, his head perked. He gave a soft noise and nodded towards the sky. Alex raises a brow at the dragon nodded in towards the sky, hearing the wings flapping too. "Here." Alex nodded for them to follow as he hid under the large dragons outstretched wings. The markings Blazer had had given him some powers but none that useful. "He can blend with the mountain." Alexander said as he waved the two over.

Asher, when he heard the wings, made a quiet low growl. Damont reacted more than he did, getting the Wyvren to follow him as they went after Alex and hid. The king wasn't going to give up easily was he? Well, no, it was his his son after all and Damont understood the feeling that he had but it was still annoying for him himself. Never the less, there wasn't anything that he could say about it and instead just hid with Alex. Something told him coming out of the ruins wasn't going to be as fun as it used to be.

The wings over head flapped right by woth shouting names of the Prince. Either someone calling prince or Alexander. Alexander shook his head. "Don't worry. Tonight I'll go and dead them off in a different direction so you can have your piece here, since I intruded on your land."

Damont glanced over at the other, wondering how good of an idea that was, what if he got caught? Damont blinked again, that shouldn't have been a concern of his but the other wasn't exactly, well, that bad- and ahving company was nice. Don't get him wrong, Asher was a joy, but he'd never encountered another, you know, human for so long.

"It's my fault there surrounding your home, so I'll do my best. And if I get caught. I get caught." The a male shrugged and smiled as he nodded his head at the plan. He needed a piece of clothing and his scent on it and trying to get them to go toward the next kingdom over and look.

Damont frowned, he wanted to object, but he wasn't exactly sure how- luckily for him his friend was better at words than he was. Asher made a displeased noise at the plan, craning his head to look down at Alex. Damont seemed to ease, knowing the wyvern was thinking the same thing he was.

Blazer raised his head and made a sort of nodding at Asher, as of saying with him around they'll be right. "Yea, I've got Blazer to protect me when someone decides to attack at me" Alex smiled and Blazer nodded his head once more.

The two weren't convinced, anyone could tell that much, but with a dragon the size of Blaze and Damont couldn't say he doubted the other's skill. This said, the two didn't make any more argument about it, if that's what they wanted to do then they couldn't stop them.

Alexander smirked and ruffled the other boys hair. "Go on and get into safety. Me and Blaze will keep watch and take off at dark." The male smiled, knowing what he was doing as he gently patted the Wyverns back lightly. "Go on now. Don't want you twould getting hurt."

Damont grunted when Alex ruffled his hair, he felt like a kid despite his age, but he didn't deny the other. Asher, taking the orders well, helping Damont onto his back and making his way toward the ruins already, safely hidden between the trees and in the darkness. The wyvern wasn't of bright colors anyways.

"There. Now for us well wait here and go at the break of nightfall." Blazer nodded and shuttered gently as Alex tore a pice of his shirt off and stuff it in his pocket as they awaited for the nightfall to break.

Asher nudged open the ruin doors with his head, waiting for Damont, who'd been all but considering the consequences and things that could go wrong but- now wasn't the time. He slipped in under Asher, who followed in after, tail flicking before hooking onto the door and closing it behind them.

As the break of night came over the horizon, Blazer laid down and Alex climbed aboard the male, "Ready Buddy?" The dragon gave a puff of smoke and took off into the air. Going to the border of the next kingdom, Alex left clothing at the kingdoms gates and a small path leading to the next Kingdom over.

Damont had left Asher at the center of the ruins, it was where he usually slept, as he himself wandered around. While it was true enough, the castle was a mess, there were still some rooms intact, a bedroom being one of them. It's walls were crumbly, but that was about it. The bed had been destroyed, but Damont put it back together well enough, using what he could find, anything soft, to replace the mattress that had been shredded. Now the bed sunk when he laid on it, but it worked just as well as any other. It was, or had been a canopy bed, but the curtain that had been around it had been torn on one side, thus it only covered the bed on two sides rather than three. Damont sat on the side that had had the curtain torn.

Blazer's colors seemed to glow through the dark as they flew and found their way back to the cave. Blazer landed right outside the cave entrance, and slipped inside while Alexander had gazed up at the stars, never feeling that close to the sky before. He felt like he could reach up and touch them, but atlast, the sky was to far

Damont assumed the others were safe and eventually fell back, passing out on the bed. The balcony that connected to his room let the night's light in, the stars and moon making an excellent source. It was funny, no matter how far you were from someone, you were always under the same sky, looking up at the same sky, which Damont guessed could make you feel like you were never that far away. That thought in mind, he slowly drifted into sleep.

Alexander smiled and headed inside when he heard Alexander making soft noises for him yo come inside since it was starting to get cold outside. He smiled and walked into the home and curled up on Blazer's back, the dragon echoing warmth to the two ad they slowly dozed off.

Damont was awoken my distressed noises, no doubt Asher. He woke with a start because of it, jumping to his feet and heading to see what was wrong with the wyvern, he sighed in relief to see that he'd just been calling for Damont, who'd apparently slept into the early afternoon.

Alexander was at the entrance if his cave keeping watch on as the guards were to return to which they did not. Alexander didn't take any chances as he kept watch, wanting to make sure his plan was going to work. He sighed softly and leaned back against Blazer who was sitting behind Alex.
