Fandom Into the fire (1x1 MzHyde/Gallifrog)

Fia listened to Rinaa say how she had used one once before but she much preferred firearms of the gun variety. Despite what this whole little project was and how much it meant to Fia to have a crossbow attached to a violin, she much preferred blades as a weapon as well. It just so happened she did love a good bow or crossbow if it came to being needed. Yet it was her blade she used in the fight she took John, Jay and Cliff on that she favoured the most. She enchanted the steel with runes to make it that much more powerful. "Believe it or not, my favoured weapon is my blade. Yet if a crossbow or bow is required I enjoy using them. Mostly as a training weapon though. The bow was my first weapon I was taught with so I got a soft spot for it for that reason." She told her.

She then listened to all the rules Rinaa was giving her and making sure to let them all sink in. A lot were the same as any range on earth but she did note the different ones as well. A lot of them just seemed like common sense to her, so it wasn't going to be difficult to abide by them. When she asked Fia if she got all that she nodded, "yeah, got it" she replied. It had been so long since she had been at a range as she tended to just practice in The House with her blade more than anything, but the rules never left her. She just loved training in any format whether it was to keep fit or keep her skills up with various weapons or spells. She had to keep her attention span focused on something or she felt like she'd go absolute stir crazy.

Most of the rules were just common sense, but Rinaa said them anyway, ensuring that Fia couldn't use the 'well you didn't tell me that' card. She took her weapons safety very seriously, espescially when it came to guns. She had nearly shot her friend once, but the bullet and the reflexes of said friend had meant that only a piece of their ear was cut off. As a general rule Rinaa stuck to knives, her swords or a variety of bola devices and hand-to-hand combat. But as she had demonstrated when she showed up at Kay's family home, she was highly proficient with a shot-gun and had no fear of using it. She could handle a diverse range of guns and could take any apart in under two minutes.

The main building contained storage lockers and boxes of glasses and ear protection. Carefully she stowed the guitar, letting Fia put away whatever she felt she wouldn't need. Rinaa had only taken her rifle with her, leaving the rest either back at Cal and Cliff's place, or back in her timeline altogether. If she did feel like having a go with something else she'd simply use the weapons here. "Probably best if we stick together for a while, just til you get the layout of this place in your head. I want to see this thing in action, then maybe go blow some targets." She slung the gun case over her shoulder, grabbing the goggles and earplugs.

Fia knew why she got told all the rules in depth, something she didn't mind as she would rather be told everything than let in the dark over something and possibly have a go at Rinaa for not being told something. She was also convinced that if they were from the timeline they'd possibly get on and possibly bond over the mutual skills and preferences of blades. Yet she knew it was pointless to even think about that possibility or idea. At the storage units, Fia stored away her bag, only keeping her violin out. She quickly tied her hair up into a messy but out the way ponytail, as she always did when testing out new weapons, training or studying.

"Right, last thing I need is to get lost" she agreed, also grabbing goggles and earplugs just incase she'd need them outside of the archery range. The chances of her needing them were slim but she figured if she did to the firearm ranges with Rinaa, she'd need them and didn't want to mess up anything that gave her, as they dubbed it earlier, unwanted attention. She was trained in firearms but she hated using them, even though Chas told her that she needed to be skilled in everything, even if she was uncomfortable using said weapon or preferring magic, because magic couldn't get her out of everything.

"Yeah, that'd suck balls, big time" Rinaa agreed. "This place is pretty big, but it's arranged in a circle so you'd find your way out eventually." There was no point in trying to ring Rinaa, she and Leah had different numbers along with multiple sims and burner phones. And Fia's number from her timeline came up as a particularly damming nickname with a DO NOT ANSWER label. She pushed the glasses up on her nose having chosen a black-tinted pair that reminded her of the sunglasses she used to wear back on the desert world. On some they'd look douchy, but Rinaa managed to pull them off.

The archery ranges were split between outside and inside and werent busy at that time. In fact there was nobody there at all it being class time for many students. "We got our pick of the lot then" Rinaa pushed through the door, making a beeline for the bolts and arrow storage, searching for the bolts that might fir their creation. The target lengths ranged from close up to long distance to a sort of weird clay pigeon style shooting thing that was particularly popular for competitions or showing off to friends.

Fia took note of the fact it was basically a big circle, so with that in mind she wouldn't get too lost for long. Walking through the ranges, she too had her goggles on. They weren't like Rinaa's as she seemed to pick just a standard clear pair but that didn't bother her in the slightest. Reaching the archery ranges she glanced around them to find them all empty. That was something she was never used to. She was used to seeing at least some people around when she went to an archery range back on earth.

"So it seems" she replied, following her into the room that stored all the bolts and arrows. Walking over to the lot she glanced through the many many bolts. Her face full of concentrating as she studied closely each length bolt. She even picked up a couple of different ones at a time to compare them, before placing them beside the crossbow part of her violin to get an idea if they'd be too long or too wide for it. It took a little bit of looking but she found one type that she thought would be alright, going by the weight, material, length and width of the bolt. "Think I found a few that would work" she said, picking up around 4 bolts of the same chosen type. "Four should be enough to test it out" she added.

Rinaa found some suitable ones too. As usual the bolts and arrows were in a state of organised chaos. There was a proper sorting system but many just ignored it, bunging in the projectiles any old way. She eyed them up, trying to do the mental gymnastics in her head as to whether they'd fit or not, before deciding to simply trust Fia's judgement on what was more of her area of expertise than her own. "They look about right to me. But it's not my area of expertise really, so I'll hope you're right on this." Rinaa had no problem with admitting when things weren't her area of expertise as it gave her the opportunity to learn something from the expert.

She sat herself down and began removing the large quantities of arrows and bolts, spreading them out in front of her. Rina stayed behind the line that marked the force field, angling helself so that she could both sort arrows and watch Fia work. "I'm gonna sort these while I watch. As soon as you step across the line, the force field will act ova, don't let that spook you." she gestured at the metal line in the ground that sperated the range from the prep section. Rinaa had never seen Fia properly in action, and was actually quite curious to see just what kind of skills she possesed.

Fia saw Rinaa picking out bolts that she thought would be suitable, but just glancing at them she figured they'd be too heavy in weight. When she said about just trusting her area of expertise, she smiled slightly, finding that was one difference between her and Leah. Leah was too stubborn to admit when she could be wrong, until she was proven wrong. They may have got on but there were plenty of heated discussions about things because both were as stubborn as each other.

Fia then placed the bolts in her thigh satchel she had pretty much permanently attached to her, despite having a bag. It made things easier when it came to storing her blades and homemade stele that she used for her activating alot of her runes. "Right, thanks for the heads up" she replied, seeing her sit on the floor to tidy up the arrows and bolts. She then looked forward and stepped over the line and through the force field onto the range. Having been forewarned about it, she didn't get freaked out by it, just smirking in an impressed manner instead at the whole thing. Stepping up to a set section, she lifted her violin up slightly and loaded the crossbow section, the bolt fitted perfectly into the groove under the neck, with the top of the bolt fitting just right into the string, pulling it all back into a loaded position.

She lifted the violin up, gauging how to hold it up, going with a upturned position, so the violin part was now the underside, the crossbow side now on top. She stretched her arm out straight so perfectly that someone could put a leveller on her arm and it'd show it with no angle out of place in the slightest. She wrapped her index finger through and round the trigger, tilting her head ever so slightly to see through the sight groove, aiming for the target that was 45yards away. She could have started with the closer one of 25yards, but she liked a challenge. She took in a deep breath and as she exhaled she squeezed the trigger, the bolt flying out at an incredible speed, the bolt became a blur instantly, only clue it left the crossbow was the thud it made as it hit the target dead centre. She grinned to herself, using the nearby binoculars to double check her assumption, and she had indeed hit it centre. Putting them down, she then looked over the violin and saw no visible cracks.

The forcefield wasn't trying to be discrete or blend into the background. The exact opposite was true. It was deliberately designed to be a large shimmering wall of stuff to keep the bolts in and those outside unharmed. The strongest force fields were around the plasma range. Plasma weapons were seriously dangerous and could burn through both flesh and bone and such weapons were treated with great respect and reverence by those who used them as a result. Even seasoned professionals didn't mess around with such weapons, having seen the consequences of them for themselves at some point or another.

Rinaa didn't need binoculars to know the shot had hit dead centre. She could just tell. No matter what Fia herself might say, her posture screamed archer once she had the bow properly in her hands. And Rinaa would know shed spent many hours with Cliff watching her adopt a similar stance and posture with different weapons. Archery was an art form that gunslinging could never be. Maybe if she had tried more when she was younger, Rinaa could have such skill herself, but her heart was never in it, even when she didn't know its connection to Kay and Fia. There was an impressed edge to her tone as she spoke "well damn." She then related something from her past that Fia would have no idea about. "Seeing the speed reminds me of something my uncle, Jay's brother had." She held up a palm and traced a line across it from the base of the thumb across. "This scar running across his palm from when he grabbed a crossbow bolt aimed for his heart out of mid-air. Sure, I'd seen the scar in real life and the skills, but was pretty sceptical that it could do that much damage. Guess I was wrong."

Fia didn't strictly need the binoculars, but she always used for certain distances just to clarify what she was seeing closer up without actually having to walk all the way over. It was a lazy way of doing things, but she preferred it. She was proud she still had the aim down to an art, even though she hadn't picked up any kind of bow for quite some time. After doing this, she figured she might have to pick up her recurve bow again at some point. Hearing the impressed tone in Rinaa's voice, she smiled more, not thinking she could ever impress the girl.

She looked behind her at Rinaa when she spoke about it reminding her of something, watching as she showed her uncle having a scar on her hand and smirking when she now realised the story just be true of a bolt causing damage to the hand. "Oh it can cause such a scar alright. I've seen people with missing fingers from an arrow or bolt due to poor discipline. It's terrifying actually to see such a thing just rip a hand apart or take a finger off" she replied to her, clarifying that if Jay's brother said it was down to a bolt, it most definitely would have been true. She then turned back round and loaded up another bolt. The true test would be of it could take the strain of numerous bolts being released in quick succession of each other. Again her stance was perfect in every way, as she lifted it back up and shot it again at the 45 yards target, again hitting it dead centre right next to the previous bolt. She didn't need binoculars this time to know it hit. She heard not just the thud of it hitting the target but the scrape as it grazed the previous bolt.

Rinaa had doubted the story mainly because of the fact that Jack had been an excellent liar. Jay always knew when he was lying, being his twin meant she could read him like a book in that regard. But Rinaa hadn't known him long enough to aquire the knack of figuring out whether he was telling the truth, lying or just exaggerating everything out of proportion. Or doing some combination of all three at once. "It was just hard to know whether he was lying or not that's all. You never met him, so you wouldn't know anything about him, he was pretty awesome." She spoke looking down, her eyes saddening under the glasses as she thought back to the time she'd spent in prison and organising the breakout from said prison. Jay and Elliott knew what she'd been through in prison but none of the others did.

In an effort to shift her mind away from that particular line of thought, she focused herself on organising the bolts by size and weight. Her organisational system was second to none, she knew how to keep things orderly, and tried to do so while doing any mechanics jobs, but usually it ended up with tool strewn everywhere. She too could tell from the sound alone that Fia had hit her mark. "Any damage on the bow?"

Fia wouldn't ever doubt anything anyone ever said about Jack. Like Rinaa said, she didn't know him, only ever knew of him from photos or stories. But it was clear from Rinaa's body language and motions that she missed him, even if she didn't know him as well as Jay did. "I can get that. I'm sorry you and Jay lost him. From the stories I know, he did sound like a great guy." she told her sincerely. She could only put herself in an imaginary situation of losing anyone of her family, and only had come close to losing Kay.

When the bolt hit her target she felt proud of herself that she still had the skill despite letting it slide sideways compared to her other skills. She still did it casually but compared to always insisting on training with her blades and staffs to keep her skill sets up and to keep fit, archery of any kind slipped to the background a little. She then checked over the crossbow half of the violin Nd the violin itself and she couldn't see anything cracks or breakages. "I can't see any, it all looks good to me." she replied to Rinaa, glancing over at her and seeing her organisational level being next to none. "Did you wanna have a go?" She asked Rinaa.

"He was quite something all right" was all Rinaa could remark on the subject. Fia had never seen the other side of Jay, the side that flipped between cold, calculating, ruthless assassin and adrenaline junkie who'd do almost anything for a bet, so Rinaa couldn't use that comparison to properly explain what Jack had been like, even if she'd wanted to elaborate more. Jack and Jay were the same personality and mindset wise, which was what made them so formidable as a duo. It had been curiosity about her uncle that had driven Rinaa into prison with Jay. There was no other way she'd ever be able to know him. It also served as a sort of stepping stone for figuring out how to go about meeting Elliott.

Rinaa nodded at the assessment of the violin, relieved that it was holding up. She'd chosen the alloy espescially for its strength and lightness. It looked like that choice was paying off. She had begun to slot the arrows back into their various sections when Fia asked if she wanted to try. "I think I'll pass this time, it's designed for a right hand dominant, but I favour my left for shooting." It was a valid excuse, but she also didn't feel comfortable with the idea of using the violin bow, even if she had helped to make it. "I'd say give it another few shots just to make sure, maybe varying position, motion and target distance just to get an accurate representation of what this is going to go through."

Fia didn't expect Rinaa to go into any kind of detail about Jack as it was obviously a sore subject for her and she got the feeling it linked to many other things, so she wouldn't pry. She hadn't made a point to pry before now, so she wasn't going to start now. It's not like Fia saw herself as someone that Rinaa would want to open up to even if she did talk about Jack to anyone. She would have been unbelievably naive to think otherwise.

She watched briefly as Rinaa slotted all the arrows and bolts back into their place, the whole area now looking a lot tidied and satisfyingly organised. "Fair enough" she replied to her decline of having a go at it. She forgot that Rinaa preferred shooting with her left hand, thus making it alot more complicated to use. She nodded at Rinaa's suggestion and she did honestly like the idea. "Right" she said, turning back to look at the various distances of the targets. She loaded up another bolt and this time, she turned it back over to the violin part being on top, she figured she'd try it out this way as if she did caught out and attacked when playing the piece, then she'd need to quickly shoot the bow part before messing around with turning the thing over.

She noted a target at 55yards, which meant she'd have to take into consideration the wind direction, angle of natural bend the bolt would make whilst through the air for it to get to reach the target in her sights. Working it out, she lifted the violin, kept her finger on the trigger underneath. She then plucked away at the strings as if she would be playing it, did a rock forward then roll back as a dance move, tilting herself and the violin at a 30degree angle and shot the bow, seeing the bolt fly up into the air and curve up and over, flying down and forward hitting the target in question.

In an ideal world Fia would have all the time she could possibly need to set up her shit and take it. But given the circles John moved in, an ideal world was far from reality. At some point or another Fia would be forced to use this violin weapon from some impractical angle or position. It was better to find out sooner rather than later if this could be achieved with the new bow. So when Fia recognised this fact Rinaa nodded and slotted away the last of the bolts. Her smile was barely visible, but it conveyed a quiet satisfied pride. She may not smile properly, but Rinaa could be very expressive with what little smiles she did show. Without a doubt it would be a mess again within a few days or weeks depending on who used the range and how often.

Rinaa stood up and watched Fia take her next shot, a more challenging one in all aspects. She even so far as to add in some kind of dance moves, which Rinaa would have interpreted as showing off a few days ago, but didn't today. Rinaa could follow a dance pattern far better than the average person, but she lacked the passion and expression for the art that Fia had. Intstead that passion could be found in her kata and her sparring practices. Seeing the bolt hit the target a new idea entered her head. "Want to try rapid fire with moving targets? Think clay pigeon shooting, but with a crossbow" she asked, obeying the ruels and not stepping over the forcefield line.

Fia wasn't even looking at Rinaa when she smiled slightly at her handwork, but she could imagine how proud she just be at managing to organising it all. She knew here and now she'd have all the time she could have to set up her plans, targets and the like, but she also knew when it came being back on earth, she very well wouldn't have that luxury. So she, in equal measure, made the most of it and knew she'd miss this luxury as it won't follow her back onto Earth.

She was glad that Rinaa didn't call her out on the slight dance move before firing the crossbow, as she did do it for a purpose. She couldn't remember if Rinaa knew about her playing style or not, so she did half expect some kind of comment, but luckily for her she got none. She was just over the moon she got it lined up perfectly and hit the target. When Rinaa got an idea, she turned round and grinned, "I'm so down for that" she replied happily. Moving target training was her favourite thing to do, and she was more than willing to put the new violin through its paces in that kind of test.

Rinaa smirked at the response. "Good, cos I'd have made you do it anyway." This was more her thing when it came to archery. It had been a thing Cliff had let her do once she turned eleven as by then she was not only very mature for her age, but much older looking and taller then average. There had been some rocky bits along the way, but now Rinaa knew exactly what to do, regardless of whether it was Earth weaponry in one of the training rooms at Fac 53 or A.J's or at an off-Earth shooting range. The equipment didn't really change. "I'd get more bolts if I were you, four ain't anywhere near enough."

As a general rule the clay shooting was a two person thing, it could be done with a computer programme, but you quickly learned its patterns. Or at least Rinaa had. She grabbed the specialised sling. Some prefer to use the gun for firing the targets, but Rinaa enjoyed the sling more. She passed through the forcefield, making sure to ground herself afterwards in case any static had built up. She made her way over to one side of the range, thankful they'd picked one with a high ceiling. "Give a signal when you're ready" she called out, loading up the first ball, laying out the rest within easy grabbing range. She adopted a ready stance, her eyes narrowed, one arm and one foot back.

Fia smirked and chuckled at Rinaa's reply about making her do it anyway. That was something she totally believed. "I don't doubt that for a second" she told her. Most of Fia's moving target training was either in a room of The House that became her training room, as it seemed The House liked her just fine, compared to the seeming grudge it had on Kay and John for THAT night. Or she went into a field somewhere or an abandoned site and trained there with either her parents, Chas or Elliott. "Plan on it" she said when Rinaa suggested she got more bolts, as she stepped through the barrier once again and over to the now tidy bolt storage.

Finding the current type she had been using, she grabbed as many as she could store in her thigh satchel which was around 12 bolts. It was a snug fit for them, but she had got them in with ease. She walked back through, and prepared herself as Rinaa told her to let her know when she was ready as she set up herself. Getting into a starting stance, she placed a bolt into the crossbow part, and lifted it up, placing her hand readily on the trigger. "Okay I'm ready!" She called out, now fully prepared, glancing at Rinaa's starting position and then outward at the range, already guessing every possible angle and average speed of a slingshot that could be made. Now was her time to show Rinaa what she truly was capable of and just why her violin playing also encompasses dancing. It kept her flexible and it molded into her fighting style. Just like John discovered.

"It's in the name of accurate scientific experimentation, the only kind that there should be." Rinaa added with a smirk quoting what pretty much every science teacher ever had said about how experiments should be carried out. If Fia had messed up the bolt and arrows system Rinaa would definetely have thrown something at her out of sheer annoyance. But thankfully she didn't and Rinaa didn't have to demonstrate her medium distance throwing skills.

She doubted Fia would have seen her or Leah use a sling before. It wasn't the kind of weapons practical for what they usually ended up against. A sling had been one of the first weapons Rinaa had mastered as she wasn't in danger of injuring herself too badly with it. Rinaa had put those skills to use, spending many hours bird hunting from both the back of a motorbike and the back of a horse. Horse-riding was another one of her lesser used skills. So when she went to take the shot, she availed of all the power she could muster from her arms, waist and shoulders. A step, a draw back, a spin and the saucer shaped piece of clay shot out of the sling with a crack. Rinaa wasted no time in reloading for her next shot.

Fia just smirked at Rinaa's reply about it being all for scientific experiment. She also knew better than to mess up the work that Rinaa had done with all the arrows and bolts. Like Rinaa didn't know about her styles, Fia didn't know about Rinaa's skills with the sling. So this was new territory for the both of them, but a challenge she was fully willing to try.

This was a chance to show Rinaa that she wasn't just that playful slightly immature, easily excitable teenager, but she was capable of so much more and she did have skills herself. The moment Rinaa let off the first clay plate, she aimed the crossbow up and gauged its path by using her keen eyesight through her phoenix self before letting off the bolt, hitting the plate, quickly reloading it as Rinaa left no time to fire off the next clay plate. Coming slick and fast, Fia used her dance fight style to shoot each bolt and hit the next target. She was barely breaking a sweat, as she shot off bolt after bolt. She even managed to shoot one mid back flip, one handed, and from behind her back.

Just as there was more to Fia than the playful, excitable, pretty much always in a good mood persona she usually had, there was far more to Rinaa. The group had already seen she was insanely smart, but she was a jack of all trades. What she lacked in magical and MindWalking ability she made up for in sheer hours she had spent honing her skills and her sense. If Fia thought Rinaa was just going to stand on the one place to take the shots then she was very, very wrong. She'd spread the plates out in a pattern, while having slung a belt with others across her shoulders. She took the second shit form the same position, then bolted.

Rinaa had the increased speed of both her alien parents and now was making use of it. She slung the plates rapidly from all angles and at all kinds of speeds, not stopping once, instead running and grabbing at the same time. Each of her shots made an identifying crack, but the echoes off the back rock wall meant they couldn't be used as an accurate way to locate them. She had less of an opportunity to use her parkour, instead she stuck to the ground, swinging and hurling and running all at once. A few times she fired two at the same time, one from the sling and one thrown regularly.

Fia was glad that Rinaa was hoping her game and making the test all that more challenging as it went on. She hates it when people made it too easy for her. She was immensely impressed by Rinaa's sheer speed, knowing there was no doubt she inherited that from both Jay and Elliott. She started to see a pattern in the throwing of plates by Rinaa, which made her get into a pattern in shooting. She found herself spinning the violin over a couple of times and shooting it at various angles, just to hit her target.

She may not have been able to instantly known where they were coming from, but with her keen sight from her phoenix side, it helped her reflexes act quickly even if there may have been a couple of close calls when she got too close.she only missed a couple but she didn't react to the misses, and just kept going. She absolutely loving the testing of the violin crossbow, finding it a great moment of exercise for herself as well. Where Rinaa stayed low down, Fia didn't strictly stay ground level. She couldn't resist just bouncing off the walls herself, to gain a height to hit the targets from mid air, knowing back on Earth she did a lot of air attacks. She started to breath slightly heavier but nothing she wasn't used to. She was hitting alot more targets than she missing and the violin structure seemed to be holding up well.

Had they been in some back alley or more enclosed space, Rinaa would have been bouncing off the walls using her parkour skills. She didn't have that option given that the only wall was located behind Fia, and this particular forcefield wasn't the kind a person could bounce off. But Fia did have the option, and in a weird way she was glad she waking use of it. The frantic running, shooting, throwing only took at maximum five minutes, but it felt like far, far longer. By some miracle her hair managed to stay tied back and out of the way. With the last of the clay saucers gone she held up her two hands, making a gesture in sign, before realising that Fia wouldn't know what it meant.

"I'm out of clay!" she yelled as a clarification before wrapping the sling around her fist and carefully making her way back. There was shattered clay everywhere and it would be the job of some junior staff member to clear it all up. They'd made quite the mess. As a compensation of sorts she tucked a fifty under the largest piece of clay shrapnel. It would only be visible to somebody who went to pick it up. As Rinaa walked back, she picked up the bolts she came across. "Well hows the bow?" She paused "Damn we really need a good name for this, Ramon'd kill me for letting it go this long without naming it something badass."

When they were done, and Rinaa held her hands up before shouting she was out of clay, Fia let herself drop to the ground, squatting before standing up straight. As Rinaa walked over picking up the bolts she came across, Fia did the same with the ones she was near to help out. They certainly made quite the training pair, which made Fia really pleased. With her asking how the bow was, Fia inspected it thoroughly but found nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Only a couple of minor scratches that she put down to occuring from the bouncing off the wall and such. "It's holding up damn well! Only minor scratches on the frame but nothing major" she explained.

Chuckling at her second comment, Fia came up with an idea and she had a feeling Rinaa would like the suggestion that was about to come out of her lips. "How about you name it." She replied. In Fia's mind it was only right that Rinaa got to name the piece as she did alot of the work on it and helped Fia get her dream hybrid instrument weapon. It was also a valid point to her, that something this awesome shouldn't go unnamed. Oh how she couldn't wait to show everyone else, and see their reactions. It made her wish she could have filmed it in action.

Rinaa cast her eyes over the scratches giving the look at the quite literally said 'how dare you exist and ruin some of the beauty of this creation that I have put blood, sweat, tears and expensive materials into." "They only look like scratches in the protective coating as opposed to the frame itself. Adding another few coats wouldn't do any harm, but that can be done any time really. As long as there's no cracks, it looks like it's in business." She summarised with a slight smile, running some fingers over the violin just to make sure. Rinaa had trained herself to have a very sensitive sense of touch for minor cracks and scratches in projects she had made.

"Hmmmmm, that's gonna need some thought. Naming things isn't my jam as such, though I've come up with a few in my time." her eyebrows scrunched in thought, but nothing leapt out at her immediately. A good name couldn't be forced. And it did pop into Rinaa's head for the briefest moment that this might be a justifiable excuse to go back to her own timeline one last time before the end. But she shook her head with a slight sigh to dismiss that thought as soon as it occurred. It was stupid and petty.

Fia let Rinaa inspect the violin herself, noticing the facial expression she was pulling over the information of the scratches. She recognised it from Leah making a very similar expression at certain times. She didn't pay the expression too much time or mind to though, as she knew they could be buffed out at some point of another. Rinaa commenting on it, only confirmed her own suspicion on it. "Thought as much!" She replied casually.

She let Rinaa run her hand over it to make sure it was what they summarised, whilst nodding at her saying it'll brake time to think up something. Like her Fia, Fia wasn't that great at naming things herself, the nickname of Wolfie was proof of that. She noticed her thinking up something or other as her eyebrows scrunched together, but Fia said nothing. A well rehearsed habit now. "There's no rush for naming it, take your time. I just think that honour should go to you" she told her. "I'm rubbish at naming things, whether it's animals, people's nicknames or objects. My original violin doesn't even have a name because I'm that bad at it" she chuckled.
