Fandom Into the fire (1x1 MzHyde/Gallifrog)

Fia listened to Rinaa, agreeing wholeheartedly that it's incredibly useful to have a working strong WiFi signal. Where Rinaa liked working at a laptop on a rooftop, Fia liked working on music on the rooftop. She guessed she got that from Elliott but she couldn't be 100% certain. She knew Kay liked to read up on the roof of she wasn't curled up on the couch, so she could have picked up on the choice from any one of her family. When she was told about the bike's additions, she couldn't help but smirk. "No I didn't but that's damn smart" she replied. Then came the information on the spaces at the lab for working on her violin, to which she nodded in acknowledgement. "Okay cool, that works for me" she replied.

When Chas said about it'd only be their place to possibly stop one of them from committing murder, she had to agree with that. She'd gladly step in to stop any of them going too far and do seething they'd regret or more scarily, not regret. She too smirked at the reminder of Cal beating up a member of Attil's royal family, something that Kay was pretty sure she would never tire of hearing. "No doubt about that" she remarked back.

"It's hella convenient. I started doing it living off world in places where awful signal was just a way of life. But on other planets, it's just convenient to have. I'd say your version has the same, or at the very least knows sebody who could add such a feature."She sighed, finding herself missing her bike back home. "Damn I miss my bike at this moment in time." She mumbled, partially to herself, but it was loud enough for Fia to hear. Closing the laptop she glanced at her hand. The wound was scabbing over. It was a clean cut, shallow enough that it wouldn't scar. "We should head back to the otehsr, I have a fee pass to come and go whenever, but you have to tell somebody."

She leapt back across to Cal's roof, and swung herself into the apartment once again. Depositing the laptop on the table, Rinaa made a beeline for one of the multiple boxes of medical supplies Cliff had positioned around the apartment. "Well, did you find anything useful?"A pause. "And what happened to your hand?" "I didn't really get anything new, just the confirmation I needed. To know I made the right choice with all of this. Even if it's the illegal and crazy one and if I ever went back to my time I'd be in so deep of shit I'd consider moving to a cow farm to get away from it. But my choice is justified completly so it helps."

Fia listened, finding her explanation very typical of Rinaa/Leah. She was pretty certain her Leah did in fact do the same of like Rinaa said, knew someone who could help her do it to the bike. She heard Rinaa say about missing her bike, and she honestly got it. She may have been making another violin with Rinaa's help, but she did miss her original one the same way. She would also never admit it but she did miss being able to use magic and learn new spells in a practical sense, even though she would keep her word. When she said about heading back, Fia nodded, "right" she replied, standing up and following her back across to Cal's roof and getting inside the apartment.

She walked over to Kay, leaning over the back of the chair she was in, giving her a hug. "What's that for kiddo?" Kay asked, taken aback by the action. "Just coz I felt like it and I wanna steal more brownies" Fia grinned, which made Kay roll her eyes and chuckle. "Shoulda guessed!" Kay said back. If she was back home at the apartment she would have probably kissed her cheek when she hugged her, but she wasn't and so kept her love for her mother restrained. After being knocked out and not really remembering anything about the reason why (that she is to believe at any rate), she just felt like she needed a hug from her mother. "Rinaa is gonna take me back to the labs so I can finish my violin crossbow, that cool with you?" She asked Kay. "Yeah that's fine with me, just stay out of trouble" Kay told her. "Awesome, we will" Fia replied, pushing herself off the back of Kay's chair, going to the table and grabbing another couple of brownies, shoving one in her mouth.

"Chas keep looking after mum!" Fia grinned, trying to be funny.

Rina sat herself cross legged on one of the crates that was used to temporarily store any overflow products from Dan's forge. "I needed a catalyst for what I was doing, and blood, even stuff as polluted and complex as mine is seriously powerful. It has it's uses outside of magic, pretty much any time you need a powerful link, it can be made with blood." She explained, and Chas nodded knowing exactly what she meant. As Kay and Fia talked, Rinaa applied a sterilising agent to the wound, letting out a slight hiss of pain. It was strong stuff. That done she wrapped the wound with a single layer of bandage, cutting the fabric neatly. She'd done this many times before. Looking at the simple bandage she turned to Chas.

"Is going full back-alley boxer on this for style purposes pushing it too far?" Chas shook his head. "Nah kiddo, you'd make it work. Only adds to the image you've got going." A flicker of a smile came from Rinaa at that. "Thought as much." She took the roll and expertly wrapped her hand. The crossing of the bandages makde it clear that this was a boxing (and not a medical) thing. "Yep, I will, don't worry. If ye get into a fight or Rob a bank or something, I'll give you an alibi." He added, making Rinaa smirk. "Ta for that. I'll give you a cut of the loot. And if the others do come back while we're gone, tell somebody to ring me. If there's an emergency we'll probably be at Lock, Stock and Barrel or the sound lab." At that thought, she took Jack's guitar and slung the case over her shoulder. "And I've taken the guitar."

Both Kay and Fia glanced across at Rinaa when she said about doing her bandage boxer style for the sheer hell of it and mirrored each others' smirk. Fia then nodded with a smile when Chas said he'd keep looking after her mother, chuckling at his next half of his reply. Any other time and Kay would have said something along the lines of 'dont encourage my kid' but she knew deep down that Fia had no doubt got into enough trouble in her time and it would quite frankly be pointless. She Lao was convinced that most of that trouble would have happened when she either snuck out on her own or went out with John. So gauging it on those realisations, Chas would have encouraged her.

When Rinaa replied with if the other did come back before them to let them know where they'd probably be and the such, Kay nodded. "Sure thing. Hope it all goes well for you both. I'm intrigued to see this little project I must admit" she smiled, getting a nod and wave from Fia to say she listened and understood what was said to them. "See you both later" she spoke one last time, ready to leave with Rinaa. Kay knew the teenagers would be okay if they were together, but she still worried slightly over Fia. Whereas Fia had a carefree attitude about the whole thing, grabbing her biker jacket and putting it on to cover up her runes.

"Well, you'll find out later. It should be finished today, maybe some final fine tuning, but any aesthetic stuff can more tha likely be done here. It's got the form right, so now it's just a matter of getting it to function properly. Which will go one of two ways. You either have a working instrument or a very expensive ornament to put on the wall and make up bullshit backstories for." Rinaa answered, showing no evidence of which way she'd hedged her bets on it going. She tended to say a realist in the whole matter, taking the approach of following Murphy's Law- Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Leah had a t-shirt with that law on it, John had given it as a gag gift. He found it far too accurate when applied to his life.

Rinaa was glad Fia had covered up her runes, this was Attil and last thing she needed was for them to bring attention to Cal and Cliff's place. She took the same route to the lab, stopping to buy another obnoxiously large smoothie along the way. Aside from that she made no other stops, and they made good time, reaching the lab within fifteen minutes. From there it was a matter of taking the frames from the storage locker. She cast a critical eye over the pieces, checking that all the excess material had been smoothed away. "So there's not too much to be done to the frame itself, a little bit of refining obviously, particularly around the neck, the cross bracing of the bow and the arrow slot. But that won't take too long. The main thing is to get it stung both ways, which I'll leave to you. And any ideas for aesthetics yet? If not, I guess we'll need to have some fun with the design part of the modelling programme."

Kay nodded at what Rinaa said about the violin, impressed that they already had so much done and it would be done so soon. She could only imagine how happy that must make Fia, knowing that she's getting a copy of her prized possession for her to play whilst not in her timeline. "Well I hope for her sake it's the former" she replies, letting the two of them go off for the day, leaving her and Chas yet again on their own.

Fia knew that Rinaa would be glad about her covering up her runes on her arms, only the one on her neck would be the tiniest bit visible, but with her hair down, it was mostly covered. With the design resembling almost like a fancy scripture of the letter 'h', if she ever got asked about it, she'd just make up a story of it being a generic tattoo of the first letter of a family's name or something similar. Unlike a lot of the runes on her arms that she couldn't easily bullshit her way out of their magical significance. She went with Rinaa to the labs, the same way as before and gave thought to the question she was asked about the aesthetics, "eh..I was just thinking keeping the aesthetics classic but I hadn't really given it much other thought if I'm honest, as for the stringing of it, I can easily do that no problem." she replied.

"That's a relief, I might be able to figure out how the stringing works, but it would take a lot of trial and error." Rinaa replied, the relief evident in her tone. She could string a guitar, but a violin was a whole other kettle of fish. Add to that the fact that she'd have no idea how to tune it, it was just asking for disaster. "Violin's aren't really my thing" she added, flipping the body over in her hands. She was pleased with the filing and sanding job from the day before. There were scuffs and scratches on both from the sanding wheel, but that was to be expected.

There was only one song Rinaa could think of that would require a violin part, and even then she could get a decent job of it on guitar. "Keeping it plain will work. Though I think getting a high polish on the metal first will bring it out. Then sealing with a varnish of some sort or hard coating to prevent scratches would be a good idea." She remarked, thinking out loud. Rinaa produced two cans of alloy polish a set of small files and some buffing cloths. She pushed one set over to Fia. "Here, this'll take a lot of elbow grease, so you make a start on one and I'll do the other."

Fia could hear the relief in Rinaa's tone and it seemed like her Leah, violins weren't her expertise at all. Her suspicions only being confirmed by her saying as such. "Just like my Leah" she smirked. "Whilst learning it, I've snapped a few strings in my time so learning to string it myself was my only option if I didn't want to pay someone in a music shop to do it for me. Considering I'm the only one who drifted towards this particular instrument" she explained, tempering when she first did it and got told there was no way either of her parents were going to pay for a new string to be done, and if she wanted to learn the instrument she had to learn to string it herself.

Fia liked the idea of getting a high shine on the metal, her smile showing how much she was liking the idea. When one of the sets of equipment got pushed over to her, she grabbed them, nodding finding it makes sense to both work on it together. "Makes sense!" She replied, grabbing one side and began working on it carefully and precisely. She stayed quiet for a while, and she had this little habit of poking her tongue out the tiniest amount when she was concentrating. The concentration really showing in her eyes. She wanted this as perfect as she could get it, and had to really swallow her excitement about what it'd be like when fully finished.

"I just stuck to the instruments that everybody else did, though I did try sax for a bit, didn't work out which was a pity." Though the instrument provided a great opportunity for her friends photo study of teenagers and their lives. "But hey, that's life" Chas had helped with drums, Jay and occasionally John with the various guitars and ukelele. And keyboard from was a friend. There was no way in any of the circles of Hell that she'd ask Kay for any kind of help. But guitar and singing was where her passion lay. Rinaa took the other frame, pulling out her earphones and selecting the playlist marked 'Work tracks'.

She put one earphone in, not sure if Fia was going to continue talking or not. She began with a little bit of filing on the tuning pegs to get them to the right dimensions and one particularly tricky spot on the back of the neck. She started with a generous daub of polish, doing a rough coating of the whole instrument, to rid it of the leftover particles from sanding. She then went back and worked methodically, bringing the whole thing up to a brilliant metallic shine.

Fia nodded at the reply Rinaa gave her, not finding it particularly surprising. She didn't think she'd ever drift to piano because of Kay or anything else, so guitar because of Jay seemed like the obvious thing. Fia also thought that Rinaa just seemed the guitar type just from looking at her. She noticed how she put in one headphone to work to some music, whilst continuing the careful polishing work. The shine was coming up nicely, and to a point that Fia was getting happy with.

"Ya know Rinaa.. I'm enjoying working on a project with you" she commented, and she meant it sincerely, which was obvious by her tone. She had no idea how Rinaa felt working alongside her or if she even was getting better at seeing the difference between her Fia and herself, but she wanted her to know anyway that she had liked doing this project with Rinaa. She tilted the piece she was polishing to inspect it, before finding a little spot she had missed and went back over it.

Rinaa had been working in silence, her foot tapping against the desk in time to the rhythm of her song. It was a frequent sight in the lab to see Rinaa at her workbench, tapping her foot and humming or singing along to whatever she was listening to. The same applied to working underneath a vehicle with her feet sticking out underneath. There had been that memorable time where she had started belting out a song and ended up accidentally starting a flash mob in the lab when the others joined in and somebody began dancing. Her head was nodding along to the music as she put serious muscle into bringing out a good shine in all the tricky parts.

"Uhh....thanks?" Fia's words caught her off guard, she'd been lost in her own thoughts of the lab back home and general music stuff. "You're not the worst person to have around when working." She didn't mind having Fia around, but she was still slightly on edge subconsciously. "I guess.......I'm not really used to having any family around who aren't Jay........ unless I'm fixing the bikes. You guys get them bashed up an inordinate amount. Or covered in corrosive demon blood. Or somehow lose a wheel. And even then..... I'm generally left alone to do my own thing." She sighed. "My life is so bi-polar it's actually ridiculous, and I hate the fact that all I can talk about is the negatives, not wanting to screw up anything for Leah in your timeline."

Fia was aware of Rinaa's little habits when she was working, whilst working herself. She was also aware when her words caught Rinaa off guard, making her realise how strange it just have been to hear from her, and how much she was concentrating on the task at hand, along with the music. She smiled when Rinaa said she wasn't the worst person to have around and work with, which gave her a little bit of reassurance of having her around. She then listened to what was said afterwards, taking it all in and understanding the whole not wanting to mess things up for her Leah.

"Somehow the whole demon blood thing on the bikes doesn't surprise me in the slightest. It's not far off the case in my timeline, so it seems some things don't change" she smirked. "I get the whole not wanting to mess things up for my timeline's Leah, I really do. It's the same with me and your timeline Fia. Even if every fibre of my being wants to tell her to sort herself out and not bully you. Makes my skin crawl my other self could be so horrible" she explained truthfully, still feeling bad over it and it wasn't even technically her. She was finally getting the shine she wanted on the violin part she was working on and smiled happily at it.

It wasn't surprising to hear that the same thing happened in Fia's timeline. It was reassuring for Rinaa in a strange way. Some things really did just stay the same despite everything else. "Well, if its Leah that fixes them, they're in good hands." she remarked, holding the violin part up to the light, her eyes narrowing it and scrutinising the finish for a spot she might possibly have missed. "Its not fair if I spill something she keep secret, as there's a reason she keeps it secret that might differ from my timeline. It's all second and third guessing every word before saying anything, total pain in the ass, but worth it."

At Fia's remark about what she'd say to her alternate self, Rinaa stopped polishing. "That wouldn't work. She's the by-product of the toxic bond that used to exist between your parents in my timeline. The bond reverted back, but with her, I think the damage is permanent. Plus she follows Kay's lead on certain social things." She started polishing again. "And besides, I only intend to go back once more to that time, to sort out some stuff. I'll avoid all family and friends, they aren't needed. Then I'm destroying the device and dying in this time."

Fia got where she was coming from, she may not know about the other Fia too well, but the last thing she wanted to do was reveal something that could cause even more problems between Rinaa and that Fia, and possibly make that Fia even worse. "I can understand that, as good as being able to time travel is it's a pain in the arse completely" she replied to her, agreeing with her last statement. Though when Rinaa spoke about how and why Fia is so toxic to her, it made her so sad and annoyed in equal measures.

It was a relief to hear that the bond reverted back to its original state for her parents, but the fact it created permanent damage mentally onto the other Fia made her slightly angry for that timeline's John and Kay. She continued to listen until Rinaa was completely done with talking before trying to find the words to reply, "I'm so sorry Rinaa for how that version of me and mum treat you. It's not fair at all, can I ask if she's closer to Kay then if that's the case? Or is she close to John like I am?" She hoped she wouldn't be asking too much, but she was just curious after she said about that Fia following Kay's lead in certain social things. She hoped it didn't mean Kay and Fia got into some questionable things or anything of the sort.

Fia's words were worth something, even if she was tempted to spit out something like 'four years to early or thirteen years too late depending on which way you look at it.' But that bitterness was uncalled for at this moment. Instead Rinaa put her energy into considering her answer. "I'm not really sure to be totally honest." She replied finally, seeing down the violin piece and rubbing her hands with the cloth as she spoke. "I only vaguely remember what it was like when I was really young, so four onwards. Jay took me off world after a little over a year, having seen that this was the best option. As far as my knowledge goes, you copied Kay on everything."

"After that I was only around sporadically for family events we couldn't get out of. There were times when Chas and John tried to make peace between the two sides, but Jay doesn't forgive or forget very easily, espescially when it's personal, and the damage was already done. But by then and later as a teenager you had sort of a balence between the two parents. I didn't see you have any preference for either of them, but again, I stayed away. So I don't really know in other words."

Fia listened to her answer to the question she asked. She knew deep down it'd be a shot in the dark, but she had to ask it anyways. She found it interesting that the other her copied Kay on everything, especially as she was so heavily influenced on John's lifestyle and skills. She nodded at the next part of the information of how she did y prefer one parent over the other in Rinaa's timeline as she got older and hit her teenage years. It seemed like a very Chas and John thing to do to attempt to make peace between their families and she certainly wasn't surprised that Jay didn't forgive easily.

"I knew it'd be a shot in the dark, thanks for what you could tell me anyway" she replied. Sighing slightly, she put her piece down and wipes her own hands down, "so.. what's next to do on this baby?" She asked, gesturing to the violin. She was already growing very attached to it, loving how shiny it was looking. She couldn't wait to be able to tune it and play it, before checking how it shoots. Luckily for her, in her timeline Cliff and Kay used to show her how to shoot and it was always one of the things that came up in training. She was sure somewhere in her timeline that there's a photo somewhere of her around 10 years old shooting her first bow.

Jay didn't forget at all, and she could easily win the award for most pissed off and hostile person in the room. She wasn't an overprotective mother in general, she was all for letting Rinaa make her own mistakes and learn from them. She encouraged her daughter to be independent, to question and no matter what to stay true to who she was. To mess with her daughter was to mess with her. Jay was always like that no matter what the timeline. Rinaa made no comment to Fia's first remark, instead taking up the body in her hands and inspected it for any spots they may have missed. She ran her hands over the finish, looking for any unevenness in the finish. But she didn't find any.

"It's best to add a protective coat before the strings go on. It's best if we do two types. One hard one for the body, and a more flexible one for the bow part as that needs to be able to bend and take the strain energy." She gestured for Fia to follow as she located the spray laquers and finish, grabbing two cans. She took a roll of masking tape, sliding it up her arm like an oversized bracelet. She scrutinised the safety labels and returned to the bench where she grabbed a heavy duty facemask from her backpack. It was evidently a custom mask built for her and covered the bottom half her face. It was matt black with subtle silver and gold detailing. "This stuff is pretty bad if it gets into lungs, so face a mask is a must. But it doesn't react to water and doesn't wear away easily, so as long as its applied in the proper fashion in a proper space, we'll be good. You want to do it, or shall I?"

Fia watched as Rinaa checked it all over to make sure it was good to go on with, and luckily it was, which made Fia happy. She nodded at the advice she was told, finding it all made sense, following when Rinaa gestured for her to do so to where the sprays were and then back to the bench. She noticed how the safety mask Rinaa pulled out was different to the average kinds, guessing it was no doubt custom made for her. She actually thought it was really cool in design with the silver and gold detailing.

"Good to know" she replied, she did think about doing it, but she'd like to give Rinaa the honour of doing so. "I'll let you have that honour of doing it" she said, with a little smile. She wanted to make sure it got done properly and she had a feeling that Rinaa would do a better job of it than she would. It's not that she wasn't completely incompetent at such things, but this was a product she hadn't touched before and she didn't want to ruin the work done so far by them. "I can guarantee it won't completely get messed up that way" she added her reason for the choice at hand.

Rinaa nodded, she wouldn't have made a big deal out of it if Fia had decided to do it herself. But in her typical perfectionist manner she would have given a long ream of instructions for how to get a perfect even coat. "Yeah fair enough, I've been doing this kind of stuff for years." She pulled back her hair into a firm ponytail, then pulled on the mask. As it was a custom mask it was moulded to her face and fit like a glove. She was still able to talk clearly through the mask, though her voice was slightly quieter. Combined with the large steam punk goggles it would be pretty damn hard for a stranger to tell who exactly she was underneath the mask. Which was the whole point really. It was standard for the crew at facility 53 to wear such masks and goggles to protect their identities.

There was a designated area for spraying paints and lacquers. It had an airlock style entrance to prevent any potential irritants from getting into the air systems. The spraying itself only took about ten minutes, with Rinaa masking over certain areas when needed. It was quick drying too and by the time she re-emerged it was almost fully dry to touch. "There's still some wet patches but give it five and it should be totally dry. So stringing and sound check first, then a trip to the range?" She asked, pulling off the mask and goggles, which had left slight imprints on her face and around her nose.

Fia just nodded at Rinaa agreeing to her reason for letting her do it, instead of doing it herself. That reply alone told her that even if she did donut herself, Rinaa would be looking over her shoulder like a hawk, something she was used to having done in her timeline over just about everything she did for the first time. She watched as Rinaa kitted up into the appropriate gear before going into the designated area, whilst she stayed out the way so not to accidentally swallow any of the lacquers. Seeing how precisely she was doing it, Fia was glad it wasn't her doing it.

When Rinaa came back to her, she took on board the suggestion of giving it another five minutes before touching it to string it and tune it. "Sounds like a good plan to me. It's the most logical one to go with at any rate." She replied noticing the marks but it wasn't anything to really comment on, as it was a pretty normal thing to expect from such safety gear. Her Leah had then so regularly, Fia at times had to wonder if they were a permanent feature, but knew it wasn't the case. She just had gotten so used to seeing Leah with various safety gear marks round her face it didn't even phase her in shape or form. "Gotta admit, I'm looking forward to trying this puppy out. I've just got this really good feeling about its sound" she smiled. This was going to be a good day for her, she could just tell.

"Thats what I thought." Getting the stringing done and achieving some kind of sound was the most important element of the whole thing. If it didn't play then all they'd built was a fancy crossbow and major remodelling would be needed in order to get it playing, which could compromise the mechanics of the bow. Rinaa held the neck carefully in the tops of her gloved hands, minimising the amount of contact made with the instrument itself. With her regular safety gear on, she felt more relaxed and more at home in the lab. She always had suitable gear on her person in some shape or form, even if it was a makeshift bandana mask and the goggles around her neck as a permanent necklace.

"I think you could be right. But I'm more worried about it being structurally sound and being able to resist the strain energy. Last thing we wnat is for it to snap on the first firing. Though I'm pretty confident that the design has suitable supports to stop that happening. Obviously after prolonged use it'll weaken and will have to be strangthened. But that's another kettle of fish." She replied in typical style, her mind always trying to think of every outcome. She deposited the lacquers and polishing kit on her way back to the beclnches where they'd left their stuff.

Having Rinaa agree with her, was a reassurance to Fia that they were on the same wavelength. She nodded in agreement at what Rinaa was telling her, "agreed. I've got a good feeling it won't snap on the first shot made, but I'm preparing for it to happen. I'd rather expect it to happen and it doesn't, than get my hopes up and then it destroys my morale of this coming to fruition." She said. She recognised the thought process that was coming through in Rinaa's tone, reminding her what an intelligent being Rinaa really was.

"I'm expecting it to weaken over time if this works, but then that's like most things weapon or instrument wise. Whether it's strings on an instrument and they snap and need replacing, or something breaking or going blunt on a weapon." She added. Deep down she was finding these next five minutes feeling like forever, as she went to their belongings with Rinaa at the work benches. She couldn't wait to put her expertise in stringing up the violin and giving it a play before seeing if her crazy idea of making it into a hybrid crossbow actually would work.

"Sods Law and all that. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong at some point. But I think we're onto a winner with this one. But the proof is the tesing" Rinaa mused, gingerly checking the feeling of the lacquer with one gloved finger. It was dry, and she ran her hands over the whole thing, smiling ever so slightly when there was no residual stickiness. "Looks like we're good to go on this, it's all dry. It's in your hands now." She passed the violin and frame over to Fia. What happened next was in Fia's hands as this was where her area of expertise ended. She had basic archery skills like Jay, but lacked the talent or interest her mother had. Instead she took more to guns, but that was partially to do with Chad being her teacher and she liked gaving an excuse to do something with her godfather.

Rinaa left the robotics and engineering facility, making her way out of the main training base area that Cal and Cliff lived in. "Sound labs on the University campus, it's not too far, maybe half an hour by walking. It's faster motorbiking, but I don't know if you have drivers licence on you? If you don't we're on foot or tandem. The labs are up to date tech wise. They've got a set of small studios that are perfect for testing instruments, plus sound proofing means you aren't competing with everybody and their mother."

Fia chuckled slightly at that comment. That was something she could definitely agree with, "true that" she replied with a smirk. She watched as Rinaa checked to make sure it was all dry, seeing her smile, even slightly have Fia the answer she had been waiting for, even before Rinaa said it. She held out her hand and took the violin and frame, marvelling at the work so far. "Got'cha, I knew always carrying spare strings and stuff in my bag would be worth it someday" she replied, feeling glad that she had spare strings always in her bag at all times. She was always questioned for doing it, everyone finding it slightly strange that she'd carry spare strings in her bag but not always her violin. She just had the opinion of 'when I do have my violin with me I'll be thankful for having spare strings on me of one breaks'.

She decided to use the sound room to do the next part as it was easiest for tuning after. She put the violin and frame under her arm, slinging he bag over her shoulder. "Not sure, lemme check. I should have it" Fia replied, pulling her bag round her from under her arm, and opened the front pocket that had her wallet inside. Taking it out, she looked through and found her licence. "Bingo, got it" she replied, putting the licence in her jacket pocket before placing her wallet back in her bag and her bag back onto her back. "And sounds good, I can string it up and tune it there before giving it a quick proper play" she said.
