I Put A Spell On You

"That is why I am curios. We a-" Suddenly there was an explosion and the entire area lit up in fire. He grabbed Minerva and pulled her to him, casting a spell. He ran towards the battle when suddenly another explosion blew him and Minerva off the cliff and into what appeared to be the unknown.

Minerva tried process what was happening, at one point they were talking suddenly there was an explosion and there were falling. She though quickly taking out her wand and pointed it in where she thought there was ground, trying to use magic for them to levitate or at least cushion their fall.

Hillin had taken the brunt of the air blast, which explained why he wasn't reacting as fast as he normally did. Hearing her shout snapped him to his senses and suddenly she was suspended in the air. The moon behind him glowed ajd ne was bathed in moonlight. White, pure magic began to roll around him, catching them both.

Hillin levitated them both to the ground, hitting the ground nad then collapsing to his knees.

She groaned after landing on her behind, despite the lessened fall it still hurt. She frowned as she got to her feet, stumbling slightly and stretched her back. A constant ringing in her ear thanks to the blast. She cursed before saying."What the hell was that!?"

"I'm the incarnation... of the moon..." He wheezed, thinking she was referring to him levitating them to safety, "I called upon the power of the moon itself... it's more powerful.. than anything you'll... ever see..." He coughed and stood up, "Someone wants us dead." He hissed.

"Figured, that you doing something powerful to save us part... Thanks by the way. ""She said rolling her eyes." I meant the person trying to kill us with an explosion part!" She approached him and checked for any serious damage. It seem apart from some slight scraps and burns they were ok.

"Or maybe..."She spoke up remembering Hetrimer and her conversation in the past. It seemed to big of a coincidental that the talk, the explosion and Hetrimer disappearance to not be connected, then again it was too convenient. She was not sure what to think but either way the matter needed to be addressed better to be safe then sorry. " Could be Hetrimer was involved, he did try to recruit me to a plot against you. Its a thought might you, there could be another explanation i am just working with the information i have. "

"This is just my belief, like i said am just giving you my thought process. I do hope i am wrong."She said before nodding beginning her task of recovering what she could from the cart. At the same time she tried to look for the cause of the explosion. Her only experience investigation is crime shows and novels but she could tell a pattern when she saw one. "Hillin, see how the pieces are scattered? There on a 36o circle around of were the cart was. The explosion happened in the cart."

"An invasion?" She asked clearly her mood darkening,"When were you planing to tell me and the role i will play in it huh. I suppose it doesnt matter i since i refuse to take part. I had my fill on being part of wars."She said before storming of into the nearby woods. A painful memory returned, bringing a tears in her eyes.

Hillin looked at her and he yelled, "You don't understand! You didn't murder your brother when you didn't even know that you did!" The moon above him glowed and his staff started to vibrate. The moonlight shone down upon them as he started to levitate, "You know nothing of magic! You have barely scratched the surface of what you could become!" He raised his staff in the air, the moonlight literally becoming energy within it. His eyes glowed a deadly menacing blue.

"You are a fool!" He raised his blade up and suddenly the staff exploded. The shards went everywhere as Hillin was blown out of the sky, landing roughly on the ground. A pool of red began to form around him. He'd tried to harness so much energy it had overloaded him.

Minerva just ran on, Hillin shouting only making her move faster and deeper into the forest. She placed her hand over her ears not wanting to hear any more. Getting tired of running, she leaned on a tree and sat down crying her eyes out until the staff exploding making her scream in surprise. (coin toss go back or no?)

(Maybe she finds Hillin brother he asked to help her and/or she becomes his host or something like that?)

She kept on crying until she was teared out and began to walk through the forest trying to figure out her next move. After a storm off like that she was sure she wasnt welcomed back, an less if it was to her execution, she needed to find the village. She tried to go to the general direction the village was but it wasnt long since she realized she was lost.

((Ronnak is the spirit of the sun, so yeah.))

She wandered up into the frozen tops of the mountains. When she turned to try and figure out how to get back, the snow picked up, making her lose direction. Hillin had neglected to teach her how to track her way. Eventually she'd wandered up so high she would have to take shelter or freeze to death.

((Sorry, had to control her a little bit))

(thats fine)

She grumbled as wrapped her arms around herself trying to keep warm, the temperature was topping by the minute. She eventually came across a small temple ruin and she rushed inside, it was cold but still warmer then the outside. After taking a moment to rest, she looked around noticing various drawing having to with the sun, one in particular showing the sun shinning specifically on to one person. Hellins brother? She thought as he walked further into the temple itself coming to an altar.

A man was sitting down in front of the small altar. He was tall, wearing red and gold clothing. He was roughly the same height and build of Hillin himself. His eyes were a beautiful green and his staff was long and ornate. He held turned to look at her and he froze. In a neutral tone, he spoke, "Who are you?"

"Miner... Eh, Gloria. Sorry, i didnt know someone was in here."She said surprised to see the man there. More so she almost jumped in fright as for a moment she thought she had run into Hilllin, However it wasn't him, his look was kinder and more engrossing."You're... You re mage too?"

The man smiled, a very inviting one. He made a motion to follow him and lead her to a small room, sitting down at a table. He smiled, "You shouldn't know that I'm here, I tend to try and keep myself extremely concealed. I'm

Ronnak."

"Rannok...."She repeated the name seemingly familiar as she followed him to the next room and sat with him. There was a charisma to the man, she couldnt deny to be effected by. " I didnt know you were here but i have a feeling the person who brought me here does. "

"I'd imagine that'd be Hillin... my brother." He sighed and sat down, "I'm certain that you can tell that he is the spirit of the moon, or at least he told you." Ronnak slowly made a comforting sphere of light appear in front of her, "hold this, it will give you warmth and strength back. You look half frozen. I'll get some bread down in a bit."

"Yep thats him... So you the famous spirit of the sun the envy of hillin."She commented."I can see why... He didnt tell me, i had to find out about it myself."She waved the light offered off."I am fine, feeling like an idiot i haven't thought to use magic myself but never mind me .. Hillin is after you and your people."

"I don't have any people." He said simply, "They're free governing now. I've lived up here for years, knowing that my return would disrupt the peace they've built." He looked down, then he lifted his staff. The room began to glow and he looked up, "Hillin overloaded himself today. The moon is out of balance."

"I may have been responsible for that... "She said looking down guiltily."We had a conflicts of opinions and he got angry...."She then sighed. " Your peace is distrupted people fighting among themselves divided... Hillin will end it completely in an effort to gain what was yours."

"Hillin feels that he owns that land. He probably ammased an army to try and wipe the people out." He sighed, "The issue is I may be able to defeat Hillin but I cannot stop an army."

Minerva thought about it before an idea came to her mind.

"I can from the inside..."She blurted out excitingly but then sighed. "Or could have done, i seem to have burned that bridge."

"I dont know, Hetrimer seems like an obvious choice but i don't know...."She said."I get the feeling he is trying to replace Hillin not just end him."
