I Put A Spell On You

Hillin sat down and he began to instruct her about the different basic healing spells. He finally stopped and he asked, "Are you alright?" He asked, seeing she seemed a little bit tired.

((I had the idea that we skip ahead three years in the future to where she's a much better magic user.))

"A little drained but i manage, i guess." She said trying out a healing spell on a wounded servant, a servant Hillin intentionally hurt. "Still recovering from the blood fiasco..."She yawned leaned back on a nearby wall feeling tired.

(sure if you like)

~Three Years Later~

Hillin stood at the end of a large training room. He stood still and stared right at Minerva, who now was his most successful apprentice. He smirked, "Attack me. If you force me over the green line, then you win." The green line was three feet behind him.

Minerva stared back quietly planning her moves. The last three years were hard both physically and mentally with Hillin not the kindest master either, however she was a quick learner getting spells on the first try. However, she had a weakness in actually defending against spells, especially when trying to duel Hellin she spend months of training to sure up, maybe this time she had him. She charged at him going for a telekinetic push using it as a feint as she charged a chain lighting spell.

(What do you think Minerva trained with flaw for Hillin to exploit?)

((I was thinking her trying to multitask sorta thing. Like, she's unable to really do multiple things at once))

Hillin stepped to the side and stuck out his hand, stopping the push and smirking, thrwonig two shots of darkness at her. He laughed violently and then ran directly at her, pulling out his staff and flinging it towards her, going to try and knock her feet out from under her.

She ducked one of the dark shots and tried to use he wand to guard against the second but she was knocked back by the force of the impact. This left her vulnerable to the leg sweep bringing her to the ground hard, she groaned before growling recovering quickly. She pointed her wand at him and let out an intense flash of light before getting up and kicked him in the chest.

Hillin was actually very suspetable to light. She'd figured that out over time. Hillin hissed nad jerked backwards, his eyes burning slightly. He had to quickly turn around, healing himself. This let himself be completely open to whatever attack she wanted to.

She moved magical energy from her hand to her mouth and screamed at him, releasing the energy as a strong sound wave to push him back. A little trick she learned on her own, when facing Hillin she needed her own trick down her sleeve.

Hillin was unbalanced, yet he still was able to focus. He raised his arms and unleashed a large dark cloud, which surrounded her and began to literally suffocate her. He started to make the cloud thicker, darkening her vision adn constricting her.

She felt the literaly taken out of her lungs as she gasped trying to catch her breath. She tried removing the cloud with her wand but couldnt get the appropriate spell while trying to breath also. She tried focusing on hillin, trying to do a light spell again but all she manages were the equivalent of turning a flashlight on and off in his eyes.

Hillin smirked and he slowly began to let up on the cloud, seeing that she was now losing. He sat down his throne and smirked, "As such, the apprentice has fallen." He left himself open for attack as the cloud disipated: he assumed she'd passed out already.

She was couscous just barely, falling to her knees and angered at the strangulation. She raised her wand taking the opportunity given, on last beam of light emanating from her wand hitting Hillin hard."Apprentice is not out yet. Master is arrogant."She muttered.

Hillin groweled and he stood up, yet suddenly he was blown out of his throne. He lifted his staff and he shot a straight beam of magic at her, growling. Her beam hit his as the two began to fight for each other.

((they're firing magic beams at each other and they hit))

She cursed at the beam joining, she knew she wouldn't last long in a battle of wills like this. Despite trying her best, he was stronger then her and she was weak from the strangling. It was a few minutes before she finally began to give in and the beam came towards her.

Hillin stood up and he began to force it at her. Yet something was off about him. He was sweating, obviously weak. He groaned and slowly their beams became evened again. She had a larger impact with the light blast than even he thought possible. He screamed when suddenly his magic faltered and he was blown backwards.

She closed her eyes as held on bracing for the impact of the beam that never came. She only noticed what had happened when she felt her body relax as if freed from a pressure, followed by crash. She opened her eyes and she stood in shock at the scene, she had beaten him. There was a brief feeling of joy though it quickly was followed by concern about Hillin. She rushed to him and leaned next to him, checking the damage. "You ok? Talk to me." She asked.

Hillin lifted his head up and groaned, "Y-you win." He stood up, healing himself before finally groaning slightly, "You're getting much better." He slowly stood up and groaned, shivering a little bit as he tried to re adjust his eyesight. Once he had, he slowlys tood up, "I'm going to go sleep, unless you want more training."

((Have her sneak up and watch him while he is getting ready to sleep, you'll learn soemthing interesting ;) ))

( O.o , really?)

"Oh...Ok, thanks i guess." She said as he watched Hillin stand even tried to support him as he regained his eyesight until he began going to his room. It was strange, it was early in the night and they always continued training after a sparring match. Sure he was beaten in the sparring match but as injuries went he wasnt that badly hurt and she figured he would have wanted to safe face somehow not going to sleep. Curious she decided to follow from a distance trying out a cloaking spell she read about in a book in the complexes library.

Hillin began to slowly walk towards the hall where his room was, then he skirted it and instead went to the left. He walked into the small balcony that was outside. He looked down, slowly staring at the moon that now hung in a full moon in the sky.

Hillin pulled his cloak off, revealing his shining crescent moon symbol on his right arm. He pulled out his staff, and it melded into a long, slender staff with two bladed ends. The staff began to slowly for runes down the length, all of which that ended in a crescent moon. He lifted the staff to the sky as suddenly the balcony began to glow.

The moon shone down upon him as his silver symbol on his arm glowed brightly. His body seemed to re-energize as he lifted his staff to the sky, which also began glowing in a similar shade of moonlight.

Finally, Hillin held his staff in both hands and said, both menacingly and gently at the same time: "I, spirit of the moon, again vow to fulfill my destiny."

As the moonlight faded, Hillin turned and looked directly at Minerva without realizing it. The moon behind him glowed with a brilliant radiance, casting his light upon him.

Hillin was the spirit of the moon!

Hillin then walked past her and into his room, sitting down yet not going to sleep. Instead he sat there and sighed, whispering, "Brother..." Then he let a single tear slide down his face.

She just stood there stunned at the display, not sure what to make about such a revelation. She held her breath each time he looked at her direction going completely cold. When he just walked past her and went to his room, she just ran back to hers and jumped into bed for the rest of the day. When it came to start their training, she felt awkward around him unsure how to react to him and avoided his gaze.

Hillin lifted his hand up nd he said slowly, "You are almost done with your... indoor training. I have a mission that we are going to go on." He looked at her, "This is the time that you are going to become more than my student. You will soon be my personal mage. You will be equal to me in all but power. Yet are you willing to accept the task?"

"Thanks you sir... I guess you can count me to be on board..." She said thinking more about to the moon spirit then her apparent promotion and mission. She tried to think of what she was going to do about with the information."I know about the moon..." She found herself blurting the fact out.

Hillin froze in his tracks. He stared right into her eyes and his voice came out venomously, "You know nothing about the moon." He growled, brandishing his staff, "What did you see?" He walked towards her, his eyes flashing. His staff glowed with the color of moonlight. He reached out, "SPEAK!"

"You are or you believe you are the spirit of the moon and you have destiny." She said wishing she hadn't blurted it out now, she tried to remain calm at the thread. Just in case removed her wand from her robe to be safe if he attacked. She beaten him once she might to so again." I... Figure.. If i am going to be your" personal mage" i need some clearance to some information..."

Hillin stopped and he sighed, "Well, I had to tell you at some point. I am Hillin, the incarnation of the spirit of the moon. My brother was the incarnation of the sun... yet that story will be saved for another time."

He walked over to the window and raised his hand. The moon glowed with a powerful radiance, casting light over the land. He gave a nostalgic sigh, "I used to control the pattern of the moon, raising it every single day. My brother handled the sun. Over time, the task became draining and adorous, so we simply used our magic and devised the patterns they follow now. I can manipulate the moon at will."

"I myself gain my energy from the moon, whilst I am less powerful in the sunlight. I am one of hte most powerful mages in the entire world, not just this puny country." Hillin sighed and sat down beside her. He stared right into her eyes.

"You cannot truly defeat me. IF I die, I will be reincarnated into another body. When you beat me today, I was distracted. You coudln't best me if I truly accessed my true powers. I'd vaporize you into a moon beam with a single flick of my wrist."
