I Put A Spell On You

He blushed heavily and he finally managed to get himself to dress and stand up. He raised his staff and made a few swipes, showing deadly skill with it. He looked at her, "I don't know if Hillin taught you how to fight with blunt objects."

"Never had a reason to learn... My magic was usually enough to beat all commers" She said seriously adjusted her robe properly before taking her wand out. She closed her eyes and it turned to a quarterstaff ."I guess i i will need to learn dont i?"

He looked at her and he nodded, then he blinked, "How... Hillin got his hands on that..." He blinked, "That magic... you have no idea how much magic it takes to enchant a staff to do that... don't loose that."

"Is it special? I though it was standard for mage staffs....However lucky me though, even i know the benefit of changing a weapon on the fly." She said before twirling her staff about. "So were do we begin? I think i got the swing to hit part. "

He chuckled, "there's much more art to sword fighting. The best way to learn is to practice." He took his weapon and slammed at her unguarded right, hitting her blade and throwing her off balance. Before she registered she was down, he swooped his staff and knocked hers away.

Minerva gasped when he hit her staff, she stumbled back and before she knew she had lost her staff. She looked wide eyed at him surprised by the display and grabbed her staff back."Wow... That was fast..." She tried to repeat the move but she was slow and sluggish, enable to get the right momentum.

Ronnak nodded, "When you are alone for years, training is very useful." He would go easy on her, letting her take advantage, yet she still failed. He looked into her eyes, "Know this: your enenmy can stab you before you utter a single spell."

"I am... I am trying, Hon." She replied feeling disheartened by her lack of ability in fighting. She was so used to picking up things when training with magic, not to be able to get it know made her feel even worse. She tried several time to learn but she was barely getting anywhere."I just.... I give up..." She said frustratingly throwing the staff aside and finding a dark corner of the cave to calm herself.

He looked at it and he magically lifted the staff over to her, then gently laied it beside her. He walked over and sat down, looking at her and he sighed, "I know, this is tough. It's not simple to learn either."

(sorry totally forgot about this.)

Minerva just sighed not looking at Ronnak, feeling too down on herself to really reply. She yawned feeling to tired to continue with anything else, she leaned over her head to his shoulder. "Just need to rest a little bit before you beat me one more time.... Well i guess i cant be good at everything though i wish if it wasnt something important..."

Ronnak gave another nod, "I understand. We need to be ready in a few days... I'm sorry to rush you." He sighed back to her and sat down.

She sighed but nodded." At least your nicer about my failures the your brother." He said causally instinctively tensing remembering the "shock treatment" she would get on the rare occassion she didnt get a spell immidiately right. She still had some burns scars from one such event. "Lets not waist time then..." she said begrudgingly Forcing herself upright and prepared to stand.
