Fantasy Howl's Flying Castle (Finished! ---Whoo! (*^▽^)/)

"Pfft-!" Is what the twins would hear first.

Minnie wrapped her mismatched arms around her bandage stomach as her body shook and trembled. Then a quiet bird-like giggle can be heard...and it's coming from-

"Ha ha ha ha-!" The gunner laughed, sound like a bird tweeting as she looked up with a warm smile on her face. "Y-You-! Ha hah hahahah-!" She couldn't believe these two. "I-I- ...Hahahah!"

The twins, dripping wet with ale, looked at each other, flummoxed. "What have you done to Minnie, and where did you put her?" they said together, staring up at their supposedly stoic, poker-faced secretary.

Seth scratched his head; Sen scratched his beard. Then the two shrugged and started laughing too.

"Pfft-!" Minnie clapped her metal hand on her mouth as she tries to stop laughing. "No one put me a-an-anywhere-!" They are so silly-! "What? I can't laugh that someone grew a beard on my face?" The little gunner asked as her tweeting laughter died down.

Her teal blue eyes looked at the laughing twins as they seem a bit confused. "Is it really that shocking? Me laughing?"

"Yeah." said the two bluntly. "We've never seen you look so happy. Sen! Keep those gloves! We're gonna' slap every enemy we see with those!"

"I'll make you one!" said Sen, picking up his spilled mug of ale and then looking sad when only a drop fell when he tipped it.

"Yosh! We'll make ya laugh, Minnie, and we'll make a giant mechanical beard slap glove and put it on the airship and then slap that deathwing with it --- hic!" With a thud, Seth fell back on the floor snoring. Sen was still looking at his mug as though wondering very curiously where'd all the rum go?

Minnie shook her head with a small smile, amused at the idea of a dragon with a beard as she hears a thud.

"Ah..." Seth fell asleep and Sen...looks sad and confused about his cup. With another giggle, the little gunner lightly held onto Sen's cup, grabbing his attention as she lightly tugged on it so she can take it.

"Hear...I'll grab some for you...but help me get Seth into bed first." Minnie said at the still awake twin.

"No, no," said Sen shaking his head thickly. "I'll take my brother, you just make sure I don't . . . bump into anything. " he belched, sending a wave of alcohol breath blowing Minnie's way. He let her take the mug then hoisted his brother over his shoulders. "Oh, toto ---" he hopped on one leg as he drunkenly traipsed for the entrance.

"Whoops, sorry about that, me hearty." he slurred to a pirate when he swiveled and knocked the mug out of his hands. "Ohp, pardon, excuze' moi'", he said when Seth's head bonked against the wall; Seth snorted, mumbling about how they were trapped in a bandit cage fortress and he needs that toothpick to escape.

With a creak of springs, Sen unceremoniously dumped Seth on to a bed in a room beside Minnie and Ricket's. This room seemed to be where the twins were staying and all around were their clothes all scattered about with bottles of rum, throwing knives, and Sen's clockwork turret that seemed to be undergoing repairs on one corner of the floor.

"Hehe," said Sen, picking up a bottle then throwing it out the window when he saw it was empty; there was a breaking of glass as someone yelped in pain. "Minnie, I need rum. For my beard." he hiccupped.

Katsuya Katsuya

Minnie nodded, watching with stoic worry when he picked up Seth. She waved a hand with a scrunched up nose, turning her head as if that will help from Sen's gross burp breathe, holding onto the mug. She reached out a hand when he started to tilt over.

"Ah-! Watch out for-....too late." Then she winced when Seth's head bumped into the wall, blinking when he was still asleep. She looked into the mug. What was in here that could make Seth so drunk that even when hit he's still asleep. The little gunner shook her head.

When they reached to the twin's room which is right next to hers and Ricket's, Minnie watched Sen drop Seth on the bed. She blinked a lot when Sen just tossed a bottle outside and hearing someone in pain as glass broke...oh...

Then she laughed; it was quiet and really did sound like a bird tweeting. "More like you need water...and some meat to help you be sober." Minnie said with mirth. She's smiling again.

" Captain Shank's Hideout "

"Ya, that too." hiccupped Sen, leaning forward, "But no water, that'll make me sober." said the twin. He looked over to his brother who was happily snoring. He fumbled on Seth's boot straps. "Help me get his boots off, he hates waking up with the bed dirty." together, he helped remove the boots and just threw it behind him and out the window again; the same person yelped.

"What in tarnation's wrong with the rain tonight?!"

"Oh, Minnie!" said Sen suddenly. "Why you down here? Shouldn't you be resting? Hurr." he frowned. "Patients should be good and sleep, come on." he stumbled for the door. "That beard won't grow curly and majestic if you don't --- hic --- sleep properly." suddenly he fainted, snoring too on the floor.

Katsuya Katsuya

Helping Sen take Seth's boots off, Minnie stared as he tossed them out of the window, hearing the same person yelping. She bit her bottom lip before taking a deep breathe and jumped when Sen called out to her. "Hm?"

"...I was looking for you...and Seth too." The little gunner said as she watched him stumble before fainting on the floor. Minnie laughed again. "Says the one who's drunk and is sleeping on the floor." She muttered, placing the mug on the small round wooden table that's in the cluttered room and walking up to the sleeping drunk on the floor.

"I swear...you are so silly." Minnie said quietly as she sat down to pull him in a sitting position, wrap an arm around her shoulders, and carefully pulled him up. She gritted her teeth from the achy pain from her sides but pushed through as she placed Sen on his bed. Once she got him to lie down, the little gunner took off his shoes and anything that might be uncomfortable for him to sleep in, placing the items on the chair and floor. Then she lifted a light blanket over him, making sure he's covered and smiled a bit.

"There...warm from the ocean breeze..." Minnie muttered, her teal blue eyes stayed on Sen's sleepy face for a second...

Pink bloomed in her cheeks as she realized what she was doing and walked in circles, pondering something as she became flustered. Then she sighed and went into the bathroom to shave the beard off...which was weird to do. After a few moments of 'Ouch!' and 'Never again', Minnie walked out beardless and stopped for a moment...

"...I give up..." She muttered and before she could change her mind, Minnie walked over to the sleepy Sen and quickly kissed his cheek. "G-good night Sen..."

" Tortuga "

"Wake up, cap'n!" a bucket of sea water splashed Sen's face; the twin spluttered awake staring wildly around, thinking he was in battle again, but no. Around his bed were about twenty of the meanest looking buccaneers he's ever seen, a few he knew from wanted posters, but these were friends ("I think." thought Sen). "Tide's high, time to ship off!"

"What?" said Sen, confused.

"Treasure hunt for the Boozwick Galleon in the Grim Grotto? Today? Ya was talkin' last night of taking us there." said a pirate.

The others growled "Aye!" in agreement.

"I did? --- Oh, I did!" he added hastily when the pirates started to look affronted. Now wasn't time to cross pirates, especially when two of their friends were injured and he was currently having a hangover. Where was Seth anyway, was he awake? "Hehe, rum." he said. "Well what are you waiting for?! Off to the ships, you carousers!"

The pirates cheered and there was a stomping for the door as they squeezed their way out. Sen rubbed his face. What had he said last night, he couldn't remember.

There was Seth still sleeping on the bed. He had half the mind to wake him, but he can't leave two injured people here to guard the airship and the Jahara survivors. His brother would have to stay.

"Minnie!" he barged into hers and Ricket's room. "Come with me to a treasure hunt, I need you." he said importantly, taking her hand. He still had his beard.

Katsuya Katsuya

That morning, Minnie was asleep in her bed and under the light covers. She nuzzled into the pillow, long blue hair cascading down her shoulders and covering her tired face as she hummed quietly about something she's dreaming...

Until Sen barged in the room, screaming her name.

The little gunner sat straight up in her surprise and concern, ignoring the fact that she's only wearing shorts and bandages on her chest, stomach and shoulder; showing that she's a bit bigger in the chest area then what it seems. She was about to question Sen why he was screaming this early in the morning and then she stayed quiet when he grabbed her hand and saying he needed her...

Her cheeks flushed in a light pink as she stared widely at her boss...who still has the beard on his face. "...S-Sen..." Minnie grabbed the blanket with her metal arm and pulled it up to cover herself as she tries to not stutter in her embarrassment.

"...You still have a beard on your face...Treasure hunting?" Minnie tilted her head, tucking a strand of her blue hair behind her ear.

- Off to Grim Grotto! -

" Shoflo Ocean "

"Not need you like that." clarified Sen hastily, surprised. He rummaged Minnie's things for her clothes and tossed some to her. "Yes, treasure, we're off to Grim Grotto to hunt for the Boozwick Galleon." he grinned, the glint of capitalism ho! in his eyes.

He didn't seem surprised to see Minnie that way, and whatever Sen wasn't surprised at probably meant either he didn't think much of it, or he had seen it before. It was likely the latter what with their months of travelling through the desert, and it wasn't exactly like there were bushes one could hide in to change.

* * * *

Later, sailing on the deck of The Barratie, a ship Sen apparently drunkenly hired last night, he explained in hush tones the situation to Minnie: that he had made all of it up. He didn't remember any Boozwick Galleon or a Grim Grotto, except that from what he surreptitiously gathered it was a graveyard for ships because of the shallows and whirlpools that would suddenly form under ships without warning.

Sen wanted to think up of some way they could go back to Tortuga without making these pirates mad. He had thought of just shoving them off, but then that would be too cruel seeing as they helped him and all, but he had no intention of dying through mutiny or starting some fight with them, though he knew he and Minnie could easily win.

He had hastily written a note for Seth and explained all he could to Minuette and Ricket, telling them to take care and to prepare their airship for immediate departure in case things go awry on their end.

Standing next to Sen as they sailed in The Barratie, Minnie listened in and sighed, shaking her head in disbelief. "...No more rum for awhile...a long while." She whispered back in a deadpan, not really appreciating that he just hired pirates to find a make-believe treasure.

The ocean breeze blew the dull seaweed green tunic she's wearing, a leather corset cinching her waist and hips with a thick brown belt with a golden buckle on that held items they might need while on this make-believe adventure. The small maroon red jacket covered her shoulders and the sleeves reached down to mid arm, with decorative arm bands around her biceps; a dark leather glove covered her fleshy hand. A green with a red hemming bandana helped keep her long hair in control from the wind as she lost her usual bands with the red spheres somewhere. Minnie is just happy to have leather boots that reached up to her thighs because it's cold in the ocean, even if it's a warm day.

The little gunner continued to stare out in the ocean blankly as she asked quietly so none of the pirates can hear her. "So?...What should we do? You don't want to push them off and it would be bad if they did a mutiny..." Her teal blue eyes rolled to see Sen, raising an eyebrow. "Well Captain Sen?"

Zer0 Zer0

- Shoflo Ocean -

" I can't out of good conscience throw them off. Yet." added Sen, thinking as he rubbed his beard thoughtfully.

The desert sun had cooked the twins' skin brown and their battle-hardened lives had added scars to Sen's features, recently of which were the shiny burn ones on his rough hands from all the tinkering and handling of his turret --- often during battle when he had to repair it and the barrel was still hot. "We can make it a failed expedition, swim around and then say: 'Oh we did our best, but there was just no luck now', and when they grumble and try to mutiny, then we'll throw them off."

Katsuya Katsuya

Minnie sighed. "...So basically we set them up into thinking that we couldn't find it and if they do anything to harm us, we throw them off..." Her tone was blank as her lower eyelid twitched.

"We're out here in the first place because you were drunk and told them that we would look for treasure...that you know where to find." Minnie started as her temper raised. "and now we're planning to set up a whole charade and possibly toss people who helped us out of the ship...Sen."

"You could admit the truth and tell them that you were drunk like no other." She said quietly. The white fluffy looking clouds in the late morning sky were slowly changing into dark grey ones. The waters were a bit choppy but nothing to worry about..

yet...

Minnie sighed as the pirates ran around the ship, yelling about preparing for an upcoming storm that's headed in their way. They pulled up the sails and readied the rudders; the pirate that's at the crow's nest screamed that everyone should get ready for a dozy of a storm.

Loud rumblings from the clouds ringed through the skies like a mighty lion's roar with bright lightening striking down in a flash. The choppy waters from before are turbulent and huge waves crashed down on the side of ship, on some occasions Minnie thought the ship will turn over because of how strong the waves are pushing against the ship. Then sharp water droplets rained down on them, slippery wooden floor boards making it hard to walk or jog around as the crew did their best and more on keeping the ship a float.

That's when Minnie noticed something in the waters. Something that made her eyes grow wide with panic and she screamed. Loudly. "SEN! EVERYONE! WHIRLPOOL UP AHEAD!!!" The little gunner heard Sen's commands on getting the ship away from the massive swirling waters of doom as she continued to stare at it with terrified awe.

The ship was getting closer. They were being pulled in and the ship swirled, caught in the strong currents. Minnie grabbed onto Sen and the railings as she tied them both together with rope around their waist. The crew were jerked out by the waters as was the teen pair. Minnie held her breath as they were sucked in...

Down. Down they went. Into the spiral. And Minnie blacked out from something hitting her head and sides...

*********************************************

Her groans echoed, feeling the sand underneath her cheek as she nuzzled into the beach. She coughed up salty water as she pushed herself up on her knees and elbows. Who knew that a little girl can swallow that much water?

After a while, trying to grab her bearings and wincing from her re-opened injuries, Minnie looked up to see most of the crew still alive; by the way they're moving around and waking up too. Seems like most of them survived but not all...

The ship was broken, not too much damage but the biggest sail on the ship was done for and some of the rudders were missing.

There was a light tugging around her waist, a rope tied around and leading to Sen, who's knocked out too...hopefully. Minnie crawled over and lightly shook his shoulder before pushing him to his side in case he swallowed water too. "Sen? Sen??"

"Yes, but only if they mutiny and try to cut us." said Sen, reasonably. "But if they don't, then it's all fine and dandy. And I can't tell them I made that up. Look at those mean faces, Minnie. They're not nice people, they pillage and burn and murder and stuff, and would sooner chop us to mince meat than parley --- not that they could possibly beat us when the gloves come off, but it'd be nice to sail back to Tortuga without making more enemies."

As the sky turned into a storm, Sen was tying down the cannons when Minnie alerted them of the whirlpool. They couldn't escape, and next thing he knew, he was roped with Minnie and he too clutched at her as the boat creaked and was swallowed into the depths of the sea.

* * * *

The sideways position helped and Sen coughed out water, awake. "Minnie. Minnie, you're bleeding." he said and blearily looked around for his bag, but it wasn't with him. Then he remembered he forgot to bring healing potions. Oh, how could he forget?

"Minnie, you have healing potions?" he said quickly looking at her re-opened wounds.

They found themselves inside a cave where the remains of ships of a bygone age floated in the still waters. The pirates didn't know where they were, but it definitely wasn't Grim Grotto, or was it? It was definitely a grotto, and it was definitely grim, but none of the pirates had been here before.

There were trading ships that dated to the time when the first sea-faring nations discovered other lands and were shipping gold and other supplies to new colonies. There were also odd damages to these ships: there were large circular rings around the wood in some places, and other signs of destruction that didn't look like it came from bad weather or from a crash in the rocks, or the sucking of a whirlpool. One ship looked like the front had been bitten off.

There was also a strong stench of decay and a dank fishy smell inside, like something large had recently died in here.

The corners of Minnie's lips quirked up when Sen woke up, brief relief shown on her face before her usual expressionless face came back on. She shook her head, wet hair dripping droplets at the ends.

"No, not on me. There's some in the boat though...or least I hope." The little gunner said quietly as she looked around without moving much and sitting on the sand as Sen looked over her reopened wounds. Then she sighed and crinkled her nose when the rotting smell of death hit her face.

"What died in here?" She commented before blinking at the circular rings marks on the old destroyed ships. "...Sen...I think...we shouldn't be here." Minnie didn't trust those marks or the fact that there's lot of boats here.

"Me neither, we have to get out of here. Does anyone have healing potions?!" Sen yelled over to the others who were looking for survivors.

"Already used 'em!" hollered one pirate who was attending to someone who was worse off than Minnie. Sen looked around them worriedly. They were surrounded by debris. He too had some cuts and scrapes, but they were small. He tore off pieces of his clothes and used them as make-shift bandages and a sling for Minnie.

"Where are we?" said a pirate.

"This is it, this has got be where the treasure is."

"Forget the treasure, we need to look for a way out." He looked over to where a column of sunlight was blazing down on them. " There! Someone swim over there and see if that's a way out.

The pirates didn't like the first command and they started to grumble saying they didn't come this way and lose a ship for nothing, then started exploring to look for treasure. This seemed to be a usual thing with pirates as they left the wounded to look for gold.

In the distance, for a brief moment, bubbles broke the surface of the water where a couple of pirates swam to the chamber where the shaft of light was.

"Shiver me timbers, would you look at that! It ain't air, but water up there! Only, it ain't fallin' down! It ain't natural!"

"Aha!" cried one pirate in triumph. "Look well me, hearties! We. struck. gold!" he yelled from a destroyed window of one of the ships. He was clutching what seemed to be pearls, jewelries and a chest of coins in his hands. The pirates cried in triumph and started moving to stuff their pockets in more loot.

Katsuya Katsuya

Minnie sighed again when she heard there's no more potions but she's glad that they were used for the others. At least they didn't lose any of it. She looked over to Sen when he ripped pieces of his clothes as makeshift bandages, her brows furrowed.

"You don't need to do that..."Minnie muttered, a twinge of pink colored her pale cheeks; her eyes looking away. "But thank you..."

As she listened in to the pirates' exclamations, the little gunner had to wonder; what's causing those bubbles to go up and why were there so many ships wreaked? She had to snort quietly when she heard that last one.

"Well...at least they won't do mutiny, Sen..." Minnie humored in a whisper.

"Of course I need to do this." said Sen obviously, looking at Minnie as though she was silly. He knotted the sling securely then stepped back to see if it was good enough. "And good to know they won't cut our throats. Is it tight and comfortable?" he asked, as he wiped blood from a small cut on his brow and proceeded bandaging himself too.

"Hey! Hey, boys, lookie here!" exclaimed a pirate, laughing almost maniacally. "There's a treasure trove of gold!"

"Where?! --- Lads, we're going to need a bigger boat!"

There in another chamber, it seemed, were mounds and mounds of gold according to the pirates' excited cries. Sen couldn't see the chamber from where he was and he had more important things to do. He looked around for something, told Minnie he'll be right back and scampered off to cut the sails of the wrecked ships and make some stretchers. They had six wounded of their crew and by the looks of things, shoddy patch up jobs of wounds.

Sen had learned a thing or two from Ricket in their adventures in the desert when it comes to taking care of wounds and making sure they don't get infected. Soggy bandages weren't one of them, but it'll have to do. "Can you walk, Minnie?" he asked as he came back dragging two stretchers across the water.

The bubbling over at the sun-lit chamber appeared again. And this time, it was moving towards the area with all the gold, right for where most of the pirates were gleefully stuffing a chest full of what seemed to be ancient loot and a tiara. Minnie could see dark rippling shadows curling like giant snakes beneath the water, before it sank deeper into the dark water and out of sight.

Then, suddenly eight giant tentacles erupted from the water and grabbed the nearest gold-shoveling pirate up into the air. "KRAAKEEEEEN!" yelled the pirates.

As Sen secured the sling, Minnie tilted her head down, her hair shadowed her eyes as she looked up at him. Sen really didn't need to, she works for him after all; he didn't have to care for her...but he did...

When he asked if it was tight or not, the little gunner drew small circles on the sand as she talked quietly. "Yes-I mean...No, it's not too tight." She tilted her head up and to the side a bit, a small but heartwarming smile appeared on her face. "Thank you again, Sen." Then she looked away when he went off to get more cloth from the sails, listening in to the pirates as they found more and more gold. They really are pirates, wanting only gold without thinking about their own safety or the safety of others.

Minnie looked on, having this weird expression on her face; as if remembering something from her past before shaking her head with a set frown.

Minnie didn't move from her spot but she did stand up when she heard Sen's question, ready to help if he needed it. "Ye-yea, I can..." Her teal blue eyes did not move away from the sun-filled cavern, too wary and her brows furrowed down when she saw the bubbles in a different area.

"Sen...We need to-" That's when the tentacles emerged from the waters, grabbing the first pirate that's over the ancient looking treasure. Minnie quickly aimed her gun arm at it, ready to shoot if it ever came close or if Sen tells her to shoot.

"What do we do, Sen? Do we fight or do we run and hide?" Minnie asked as she kept her eyes on the long and squishy appendages that's grabbing pirates. She didn't know if she could even take on a giant squid-octopus monster.

" Grim Grotto "

"Yeah, no problem, Minnie." chuckled Sen, looking at her like she's weird again. "Why are you all shy?" he poked her cheek curiously, though it looked obvious that he had an inkling. It wasn't the first time he bandaged her wounds.

He turned sharply at the yell of Kraken. Hurrying back to Minnie, he ducked as a pirate went sailing over their heads, flung by the sea monster. "Blind it with your bullets, then run while it's distracted! Let's get to the surface! Follow and cover me while I make a balloon!" he swam to the ship where he had cut the sails, then cut a bigger piece, securing it with rope.

Meanwhile, the pirates were shooting at the kraken and cutting the slimy tentacles with their swords.

"Over here ya grilled squid!" cried a pirate and BOOM, a cannon from the Barratie went off like a thunder in the caverns deafening everyone.

"We need to tie this to a dingy and put air in somehow." said Sen.

Katsuya Katsuya

Minnie didn't flinch from his poke on her warm cheek as she thought for a moment. It wasn't the first time he bandaged her wounds but it's the first time she showed how she really felt. Ever since talking with Ricket and Minuette, the little gunner tried to show more of her emotions. Especially when she's happy.

So...it's kind of hard to not be happy when Sen is being nice.

"...Don't know." was her quiet response to his question.

The little gunner ducked as the pirate flew over their heads and probably hit the cave wall behind them; When Sen told her of his plan, Minnie instantly suggested something. "A longstanding fire or heater. So the hot air can push it up. Like a hot-aired balloon." Then she ran off to the side of the beach, climbing into a traveler's wreaked boat that was close by as she continued to go closer to the creature and the pirates fighting while Sen gets the dingy and sails together.

BOOM!

The canon deafened her ears, cringing as she pondered on so many possibilities. The Kraken prefers to hide underwater, noted. Attacks with tentacles to either drag, pull, or toss it's enemies and prey. So if Minnie really wanted to get a good shot at blinding it, the giant sea monster should come up or her bullet has to go down into the watery abyss...

The brazen little gunner changed her arm into a bazooka, wondering what sort of bullets she should use as she looked around for something that can help her. A plan formed in her brain; she spotted a wreaked ship that's hanging from above and spiked through with the spiky pillars and held by the grotto's pocket walls. There, swaying a bit from the breeze and hanging down from the broken crow's nest that's by the sunlit opening, is a long rope that she can use.

Minnie didn't second guess herself as she ran on the ship's deck, to the edge with the damaged rotting railings are, and in a true pirate fashion, jumped. She propelled herself by using her bazooka shoot confetti behind her, for once glad that twins gave her confetti bullets as it has a strong recoil, and grabbed onto the rope. Her momentum swung her in the opening, right in the middle of where the tentacles are sprouting out from the waters and quickly shot a few bullets like a real sniper. She swung around just as quickly as she screamed at the pirates to watch out.

The first three splashed in the water where the darkest shadow is but it didn't do anything.

..for a few seconds. The last shot splashed in after it and then-

BOOOM!

It hit. Her explosive bullet hit her light bullets, making them go closer to the monster as it lit up the dark ominous waters, amplified from the shock wave of the explosive power. The light shined through, glittering treasure were hidden in the dark waters as the creature writhed, it's sensitive eyes shut tight. The water formed a bowl shape within itself before the force pushed it back out with a bang as the tentacles curled and bends in it's stupor.

One of the tentacles latched onto the rope she's swinging on, bending it and recoiled her momentum; Minnie lets go in mid-air, somersaulting before rolling on the top of the treasure as she landed. She didn't notice the gems or ancient coins going in her corset and pockets nor did she notice the seemingly delicate tiara that's hanging on her belt along with golden bangles.

The tentacle pulled the rope, the ship falling down with the crow's nest possibly piercing another wiggling tentacle.

Her teal blue eyes was focused on the wiggling messy shadow from down below before rolling away again as a tentacle came down, barely made it out from the crushing impact. She placed a hand over her achy bleeding sides and checked herself again to make sure she can move again.

After tightening her bandana to hold her hair back again, Minnie ran off from the treasure pile and climbed onto the ships that were destroyed and rotting; once again jumping from the edge to grab onto the other loose ropes from other ships to swing back into the dark parts of the grotto. The little gunner figured this creature is guarding the treasure and that's why it's attacking.

That or it's hungry and it wants some stinky pirate meat...

So she planned her next move in case it did something while Sen gets the dingy ready.

Some pirates, who noticed what Sen was doing, immediately came over to help him, dumping their treasures on to the dingy. They were now crossing the water, heading for the wrecked ship in the sun-lit chamber to hoist up the boat up to the crow's nest.

"That's enough treasure!" said Sen as more pirates came over dragging a chest of gold with them and hoisting it in the dingy as well, "Any more and the boat will be too heavy!"

"Too right." said a pirate. Suddenly there was a deafening gunshot. Sen looked up immediately, to see the three other pirates who had come over collapse like marionettes with their strings cut, bullet holes smoking from their heads. "Now the boat will be lighter, let's go!"

Sen was used to his share of violence, but never betraying your own like it's nothing. He went over the options in his head as they began throwing over ropes the mast to pull up the treasure filled dingy up the crow's nest. Should he toss this pirate or not?

Minutes later, Minnie would hear the twin yell, "Minnie, we're ready, let's go!" they were now filling the balloon with hot air from a makeshift stove. It was slowly filling up and rising, touching the surface of the hole where sunlight streaked through the water surface that seemed to defy gravity by not falling down.

Katsuya Katsuya

Hearing Sen's yell, Minnie swung over to where the dingy was and landed on the sandy ground with a roll, hissing in pain. Then she hopped on the dingy, aiming her arm at the Kraken as the hot air blew in the balloon. One of the tentacles swung around, one too close for comfort and Minnie shot her explosive ammo at it. The bullet imploded, blowing the appendage away as the balloon is starting to fill up and float a bit.

She felt someone pushing her off and she pushed back, glaring mercilessly at the pirate who did it before looking back to see...

The creature stopped wiggling, the tentacles suddenly splashed down in the dark waters and Minnie felt dread. Something's wrong here.

"Sen! I think the Kraken can see again! It stopped moving!" Minnie screamed as the tentacles shot back up, grabbing onto any surface. Like it was pushing itself up as the shadow grew bigger and bigger...

It's pushing itself up and trying to grab the dingy. Minnie aimed again, repeating what she did before; shooting three of her light bullets and let her explosive one light them up, hoping it would blind it again. Slimy tentacles waved around wildly, in some moments too close for comfort.
