"Wedding Jitters"
Giggling quietly, flattered by his sincere words, wings fluttering softly on her ever reddening cheeks; Renee lightly rubbed noses with Seifer when he awkwardly touched foreheads. "Soon, my lovely Sweetheart. Soon." She whispered back eagerly, understanding how he felt about wanting to kiss.
Mica eyed James' hand as he petted him for a moment before looking back at the couple; meanwhile Serena played a solo of the wedding's song. Renee held onto Seifer's hand as they faced the chuckling Historia, her smile ever growing warm as she listened to the ancient historian.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the union between two souls who've shown us through the years that acceptance is a good soil where the trees of content love can bear fruit." boomed Historia, Renee's wings fluttered in her surprise. "To be truly known with all our flaws and yet be found desirable, lovable, and forgivable is a treasure most calming, that reassures us that we will never be alone nor abandoned when we do wrong ( Serena nuzzled Seth back with a huge grin, not missing a beat.) Renee Pendragon, Seifer Rathmore, you have worked and found yourself here with such a love, may you always treasure each other, and care for one another, as you share the rest of your lives together."
The bride squeezed Seifer's squeezing hand back, pondering at what Historia is doing with her magic for a moment before snuggling Sirius when he came up with the rings; kissing his furred cheek. When she felt Seifer gently holding both of her hands and placing them over his skarn clockwork heart, she felt anticipation. The good kind. She lightly nuzzled his forehead with hers, holding her breath as she payed close attention to Seifer's low and soft voice.
Ohh~ how her chest swelled, ready to pop open by her fast beating heart.
By the end of his vow, he can see that she her eyes are watery...with the happiest smile he's ever seen on her face after he kissed her hand. When he paused, she nodded gently, and felt the cooling metal ring around her finger; Renee let out another blissful sigh.
Gently holding her groom's left hand, the blushing bride pulled his hand to place over her chest where he can feel her fast beating heart, pounding hard. "Seifer" Renee's voice sounded tender. She tilted her head up where she believed Seifer's stormy grey eyes are. "when we were young kids and first met, you taught me more then knocking an arrow on a bow; you taught me to not give up and to keep trying. When you told me to buck up, not to let anybody push me around, and driving me nuts, I toughened my nerves and was able to talk freely to anybody; including those in power. When I started to believe that I should stop following my heart, you told me that you felt safe despite the slim odds we were facing; supporting me. When we were lost in the giant forests, you showed me a tenderness that I thought I would never experience and kept me grounded in reality; not allowing me to follow my flighty ideals and stubborn silliness." She chuckled humbly.
"Because of you, I experienced a happiness that's precious and wonderful. Because of you, I continue to eagerly await for the next day to experience that happiness with you. Because of you, my dreams came true and now I have new dreams and goals. All of them filled with you and our families and friends."
Renee reached out and plucked the floating ring.
"So with this ring, I want to thank you, Seifer. You have been my best friend, mentor, playmate, confidant, and my greatest challenge. But most importantly, you are the love of my life and you make me happier than I could ever imagine and more loved than I ever thought possible. You have made me a better person, as our love for one another is reflected in the way I live my life. So I am blessed to be a part of your life, which as of today becomes our life together. I also promise to listen to you, talk openly, and accept our faults as we strive together, hand in hand; celebrate even the smallest of accomplishments like washing dishes or changing diapers and support whenever we are faced with a hard challenge after hard challenge. Seifer, just like how you gave me a precious happiness, I want to give you a precious happiness too. I love you, Sweetheart, and yours is the hand I want to hold for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us apart."
Renee brought his hand up to kiss his warm palm, pausing for a moment, asking silently if he accepted. If Seifer gestured a yes, she tenderly slipped the ring through his finger. Her wings fluttered and flapped excitedly, unable to hold back her glee as a few warm happy tears rolled down her red cheeks.
