Fandom How To Train Your Dragon: Fight for Freedom (Open)

"I'll go look around the arena, if that's ok?" Orca gave a half smile, and backed up towards Wild. She climbed up onto his back and clucked loudly. The howl flapped his wings and the two rose into the air.

Moira looked around at all the people around her, telling her to go ahead and take the lead of this little expedition, and she felt her ego swell a little. All these people wanted her to lead them off to investigate. Oooooh, how fun!

"Well, alright then!" She said, clasping her hands and running over to her dragon, who immediately noticed her and bent down so she climb onto her back. The young woman vaulted onto the dragon's back, to which the mighty Skrill shreed and wheeled about, with Moira placed squarely on her shoulders. "Let's do this!" and as she was walking out of the arena, she stopped beside Skids and Sirius and muttered to him specifically, "Hey... This is probably going to be dangerous... If you're determined to come along, stay next me to okay? I'd hate it something happened to you... or anyone else here, for that matter." She spoke up at the end of that sentence, looking around at all the others around her.

"This will probably be dangerous. If you're determined to go, I want everybody to stay with somebody else. If something happens, then you at least have someone around to help. Okay? Okay." She turned back around to Skid and mumbled, "Stay close, please." Before pointing out of the arena with a loud shout, "Sigr, UP AND OUT!" To which the Skrill roared and bounded out of the arena, taking off and flying into the open sky.

Gunnvor nodded over at Moira."Weapons at ready when we're in the skies. I don't want us to be caught off guard," she shouted to everyone, looking over at Malachai.

"I got your back, nude boy," she joked, smirking at the other rider before whistling to Knut, who excitedly shorted steam out of his nostrils before roaring and taking flight, falling in behind Moira.

As Gunnvor took flight, she knew they were taking a large risk. A group of rag-tag apprentice warriors had little chance of taking on a threat as large as this. But in Berk, you don't survive long by waiting idly by. And if you had things worth fighting for, like good friends and the dragons, there was no possibility that she was gonna miss out fighting on the front lines for those causes.

Seeing Moira give her small speech and then leave made Malachai roll his eyes. Of course someone would proclaim leadership without anyone indicating who was the actual leader, but if it came down to it he wasn't going to follow anymore. However, hearing Gunnvor's comment about being nude made him completely forget he was shirtless. Quickly he reached into his pack and got his shirt which he quickly put on. "Lets do this buddy." He said as Alucard stretched his wings took off after the two. When they caught up to them, Malachai looked over at Gunnvor with a sly smile. "I don't think so darling. I have your back." He chuckled, allowing Alucard to fly higher but enough to be able to see the others.

Skidlout nodded and smiled at Moira. "I'll s-stick to you like dragon spit on a l-leather saddle." He said, mentally kicking himself for stammering. He nudged Sirius in the sides gently, and said "Up, up!" The azure Deathsong tensed and sprung into the air, and Skids let the wind ruffle his hair as they shot up then leveled out by Sigr and Moira. He drew his bow and a deathsong amber arrow. "So we're going to F-Furious Fjord, right?" He called out while using the arrow as a backscratcher, then proceeding to scratch His dragon as well. This roused a harmonic purr from Sirius and caused her back foot to twitch a little in pleasure. "We sh-should start where Orca f-found that Trap...."

Ander sat criss cross on one of the many ledges with his dragon curled up next to him. She was incredibly hard to train and didn't really like other people but him, but in Ander's opinion, she was worth every amber cocoon she spat at him. Ander was then pushed up by the orange deathsong. "Hmm what's up girl?" He placed his hand on her snout and she wriggled about. Ander got the message that she wanted to go fly with him. "Okay okay! I'll go with you!" He laughed and hoped on to his dragon.

Stigandr made his way through the woods catching and had already caught a decent amount of rabbits when he came across a dragon trap. ".....Hraorr..." The dragon stopped in its tracks and looked at him "... Retreat."

"We can't delay then! If a baby is missing it needs to be found."
Aalin already started running towards the stables. Just before she reached the stables she tripped over a rock falling face first to the ground. All the contents of her bag fell out, including the book of dragons. Quickly turning over and grabbing the book aalin got up collecting her things and returning them to the bag once more.

Once she reached the stables she looked for the baby nadder's owner to take notes and collect clues.

Once the young viking was sitting comfortably on his dragon, she lept into the air and they were flying. Ander loved to fly. He loved the adrenaline singing in his blood with every dive, the wind rushing past his face, and Vyrithia under him. Suddenly, a net few towards them and knocked the death song out of the air. "Vyrithia!" Ander shouted as she fell. He carefully maneuvered himself to try yanking at the net that was tangled around them. The two landed with a thump, close towards the main island of berk. Ander hoped that one of the vikings had seen them go gown.

Skidlout heard the melodic roar of a deathsong in danger and looked down. "Moira, Look!" He called, signaling below him as he pulled up his hood.
"Dive, Sirius!" He ordered, and the dragon dove. A net flew above his head and he spotted the perpetrators, a group of five, sturdy-looking adult men with bolas, cannons, and nets rushing to surround Ander and his dragon. As they dove, Skids drew his bow and fired two warning shots at the feet of the men with deadly accuracy. One pierced the fur of the leader's boot without stabbing the toe.
Sirius landed and hissed at the men with the nets, stepping in front of Vyrithia with her hood spread.
Skids hopped off and drew his bow, ready to fire. He said nothing, just glared at the men with a ferocity that was seldom seen on his gentle face.

Wyn gasped as Aalin fell, and ran over to see if she was alright. Nax had grabbed an extra notebook that had fallen out of the girl's bag when she tumbled, and he held it in his mouth as he trotted behind Aalin.

A distraught-looking viking woman paced the front of the stables, holding a small nadder quill in her hands.

"Feyra!" Wyn called, grabbing Aalin by the shoulder and bringing her over. "We heard Whipwing was missing. We're here to help find her."

"Oh thank Thor!" Feyra said, handing Wyn the spine. "It's fresh, I found it this morning when she went missing. She's the runt, you know. I would just about die if anything were to happen to her."

Wyn nodded and took the spine, handing it to Aalin. "What can you tell me, Aalin? Anything about the quill that stands out to you?"

"Hmm?" Moira looked over as Skidlout flew off, then seemed to realize what had just happened, she turned towards the others and gestured for them to follow as her dragon wheeled to follow Sirius. Moira couldn't help but to notice how clearly riled up Skids was, which was surprising, because I guy could never hurt a fly. At least, not without crying afterwards.
With a little time, she found where Skids dived onto the land with Sirius, and she had her dragon land behind the men with the net, the Skrill roaring angrily as she landed behind them with a thud, growling and snapping at them, sparks flying off her lips, but holding her lightning breath back.
Moira then hopped off the dragon, her face an image of cool anger, keeping her wrath and rage in check till she needed it. She slowly drew her sword and held it in front of her, pointing it at the two men. "...well...Looks like we didn't have to search long, did we Skids?" She said, talking to the other teen, her eyes narrowed. The angry Skrill hissed at the two men, circling them, her neck spines shoved forward to make her look bigger.

Dazed, Ander groaned before realizing what had happened. Around him where several sturdy looking men who seemed to be well armed, yet he couldn't find it in himself to care about them at the moment. His concern laid with his dragon a couple of feet away from him. Scrambling to his feet, he jumped in front of her, protecting her from the burly looking men. Ander looked something fierce and was ready to stand his ground when a couple of other vikings and dragons landed in front of them. "Oh thank the gods." He murmured before glancing at his dragon. She seemed unhurt, but she was seriously tangled up in the net that knocked them out of the sky. The death song hissed at her captors once before squirming in the net. Hmph, serves them right. Ander thought as one of the men was shot in the foot. He pulled a dagger from his boot and brandished it. He could and would fight to protect his dragon, but he really just wanted to make sure she was okay.

Skidlout's eyes narrowed and he sneered at the five outlaws in front of him, his face taking on the sneer that his father wore so often. "Not l-long at all."
His stammer provoked a round of laughter from the men, and he cringed inwardly, but his expression didn't change as he fired an arrow by the leader's ear and into a tree trunk behind them.
"N-next time, I w-won't miss." He growled, teeth clenched. "Who are y-you?"
The leader stared at Miora, then at Skids, then at the dragons on the ground. His eyes had an ominous glint in them.

"Who wants to know?" He said, and his voice sounded gravelly, deep, and foreboding.

Sirius turned around and began to help Ander get the net off of his friend. She grabbed different parts of the net in her jaws and ripped at them, tugging and pulling to try to rip through the thick cords making up the net.

Gunnvor landed, hopping off her saddle and drawing her maces, baring her teeth and storming up to where the men stood, coming and standing by Skidlout.

Knut stayed behind, keeping close watch at the threat in order to protect his rider. Deep in his throat he began to churn the lava-hot water that he could spray at the men if need be.

"A very stupid man demands things of the ones who have he and his men held at arrowpoint," Gunnvor growled back at the mysterious thief. The warrior readied her maces, narrowing her eyes."You tell us why you lot are trying to take our dragons or I can have mine cook you alive," she hissed.

Moira hissed and jabbed the point of her sword into the back of the stranger, not hard enough to get past the leather armor, but just enough so he knew it was there.
"We do, you dunga. Now you're going to tell us what you're doing here," she dug the sword in a little more, "Why you're trapping dragons, and if you don't.. well, it's been a few hours since my dragon last ate. And she gets very angry when she's hungry. I'm sure she wouldn't mind taking a couple limbs from you. Now would you, Sigr?"
The dragon, which had been circling the gathering of men aggressively, hissed angrily and lashed her tail, baring her massive teeth and letting sparks fly from her lips, but not letting any of her full power lightning loose.
"Now..." Moira gave another pole to the man's back as Gunnvor appeared."Start talkin'."
Sigr kept her eyes in the men, but also managed to pick up on what Sirius was trying to do, and shuffled over to the blue Deathsong, wrapping a wing claw up in the net and giving a hearty tug to try and free Ander's dragon.

Aalin looked over the quill carefully, taking mental notes of anything " Well its slightly bent in the end and it looks like it made impact but didn't stick in what ever it hit" She said as she took the note book carefully from Nax's mouth, petting the dragon as a thank you. Pulling the pencil from behind her ear she added the baby nadder to the list of those missing, as she did she heard something in the distance " that sounds like... Some sort of dragon in distress" Aalin quickly put the notebook in her bag and looked towards the sound, half expecting it to be a dragon and a rider but there was no sign of a rider near the sound.

The man laughed as Moira's blade poked him in the back. "Such language!" He said, then looked at Gunnvor with a smirk. "You are wise beyond your years, young one, but you still have much to learn, lIke keeping your nose out of other people's business. " He said, not paying any mind to the threats. He looked around at the dragons that accompanied the riders, and his eyes lit up hungrily. "My, my. Quite the exotic taste." He turned to look at Sigr. "I've only ever seen a skrill up close once....." He started to step towards it, but Skids stepped in front of him, bow drawn.

"T-tell us, snake," Skidlout said bitterly as he pointed his arrows at the man's temple, "what was y-your plan with this dragon?"

"You're prying into matters that are not your own, child," the man spat back, but remained still. "That could get you into trouble someday."

Skids growled, ready to fire, but he didn't. "You're the one in trouble now, s-so start talking."

"If you insist," the man said coolly. "My name is Rivan. We were looking to sell the dragon. Deathsongs fetch a pretty price on the dragon market."
Skidlout stared at Rivan for a moment. "I th-think you're lying." He said. "What were you really doing?"

Rivan smiled, but didn't continue.

Wyn looked up, taking a glance at the spine. "Think we should follow?" She muttered to Aalin. "That sounded like a big dragon, not one of Whipwing's size. The echo's too loud." She was going to go either way, not matter what Aalin said. She just needed to know that the girl was behind her all the way.

"Hey. HEY!" She rushed after the man and was about to step between him and her dragon, but Skidlout and Gunnvor beat her to it. Instead, she rushed up behind him and put her sword directly against his neck. "Back off before you lose your head!"
The Skrill hissed at him when she saw the man approach, her spines standing up to make her look more intimidating.
"You know what? I think you just volunteered yourself for a ride back to Berk. Clutched in the talons of an angry dragon. How does that sound?" She growled, pressing the blade to his neck, right against that life-pumping artery. "I think that sounds like a great idea, don't you Skids? Chief Hiccup would love to hear from this guy, I think."
Sigr meanwhile finally managed to drag the net off of Ander's dragon. She then plunked the net down on the ground beside Skidlout, huffing angrily at the one who called himself Rivan.

"Alright, girl.. let's do it." Siv patted Cloudrider's head, the cold rush of the clouds rushing by Siv and Cloudrider. Cloudrider corkscrewed downwards into a half loop dive bomb, "Come on girl stay with me.. stay with me.." Their speed increased drastically as they plummeted to the water, "Come on." Siv pulled up on Clouderider's saddle and pulled half-loop upwards flying parallel with the water, Siv let out a hearty chuckle, "Aw man, that was amazing!" But they were still going really fast and she was on a Woolly Howl quickly approaching a mountain, "Woah!" She reacted as fast as she could and just barely was able to ride up the surface of the mountain, while also losing some speed in the climb. As they leveled out, Cloudrider gave Siv a warning roar about the near miss, "Yeah, yeah I know."

They landed on an island, they didn't know if it was abandoned or inhabited, "Stay on alert, girl." They walked around and it seemed clear, after relaxing a bit, "Exploring is the best ain't it?" Cloudrider shot an ice ball into the air in approval, the ice ball exploded and simulated some snow, "Why do you have to make a production of everything, girl?" Cloudrider simply cooed in response.

Rivan stopped and put his hands up in surrender. His men didn't know what to do except slowly walk forward in preparation to rush Moira, but now that the other deathsong was free, they began to back up as Sirius' jaw opened, spitting amber at their feet. They backed up immediately.

Skids smirked. "The Chief w-would love a visitor...." He whispered, raising his hand to Sirius. She took the signal and stood tall on her hind legs, letting out a beautiful, harmonic roar. Spreading her frill, she readied herself for a shot of Deathsong Amber at Rivan.
"Moira, Back up." Skids muttered, keeping his hand raised, palm out.

Aalin started running towards the sound trying to remember what it sounded like "It's a stormcutter! Maybe the missing wild one!" She pushed through the trees and bushes until she found a clearing with the wounded dragon.

The dragon thrashed at what seemed to be a net or chains. Putting at them the dragon roared as it dug into his skin, pulling at the scales and letting blood flow from its front left leg. " Wyn help me! Its hurt! " Aalin yelled back falling to her knees at the dragons side and trying to break the chains

Wyn followed, sprinting up to the Stormcutter. "Spritz!" Wyn called to the scauldron who was hot on her heels. "Grab the net!"
The large dragon grabbed an end of the heavy chain net, pulling it. The stormcutter roared in pain as the metal dug into its wound, and Spritz dropped his end.
Wyn approached the dragon slowly, moving around to the front. Her hand reached out to touch the nose of the large, owl-like head, and the dragon snapped at it for a moment. "Hey! Hey.... Easy now....." Wyn said softly, inching forward. The stormcutter's thrashing slowly came to a halt, and the large eyes looked into Wyn's. "We aren't here to hurt you...."
She stopped her hand a few inches away from the nose of the fire-breathing beast, taking a look at Aalin and making a decision. "Aalin..." She said, a flash of an idea sparking in her eyes. Wyn stood and grabbed Aalin's hand, half-dragging her over to the head of the stormcutter. "Spread out your hand. I've calmed it down enough, But I think you should be the first one to touch it."

"... ohhh yeah! I forgot Deathsong's could do that!" She clapped a hand to her forehead in and shook her head before looking over at Skids, "I was going to just whack him upside the head with the pommel of my sword and knock him out. But hey, that's a much better idea. Then we don't have to worry about him waking up prematurely, and he certainly can't get away, and- yeeeah, I like that plan better. Unfortunately, I don't think it's a good idea for me to step too far away." She gestured at the current position she was in, "If I move too far away my sword won't be able to reach him. And I believe the fact that I've got this sharp blade held to his neck is the only reason he's still standing here."
She looked down and scooted her feet away from him as far as she could, "Soooo, how's about we just cover his feet first so he can't run, and then I'll move back. I trust Sirius' precision to not hit me too. So go for it."

Siv hopped on Cloudrider and took off towards Berk, "Well it was fun to explore but we should head back." Cloudrider cooed and flew at Siv's discretion. After arriving at Berk they landed, Siv dismounted Cloudrider and went to the Great Hall, Cloudrider following her. Siv sat at one of the tables and just chilled out for a bit.

Johnny flew around on Thunderstomp, flying over what looked like a familiar face, "Uncle Hiccup?!" He dived down to the pair landing with a loud thud as Thunderstomp hit the ground, "Uncle--" He stopped himself after seeing it wasn't Hiccup, "Wait, you're not Uncle Hiccup. Who are you? Why do you look like him?" He looked to Aalin, "Hey." Then back to Ashwyn and awaited a response.

Sirius looked smugly at Rivan as Moira said she trusted the dragon's aim.
"Alright, J-Just be careful...." Skidlout said quietly, closing his hand still raised in the air into a fist.
Sirius opened her Jaws again and Rivan could do nothing but stare as the deathsong launched a splat of amber at his feet, cementing him to the ground.
"What the bloody--!" He tried his best to pull his feet from the amber but to no avail.
"There you go, Moira." Skids said with a grin, lowering his hand and stroking the pleased-looking Sirius on the snout.
