Home for a Runaway

"It's cool. Don't worry about it." Izzy sat down on the couch next to her. She noticed she was kinda close to Alaska, so she moved away a bit, thinking she was uncomfortable.

Alaska smiled shly, already curled up. When Izzy moved away, she looked down and to the side kind of embarrassed. She knew Lidia would pull her aside and talk to her about it later. But what the hell could she tell her? She got butterflies around the new girl?

"Well, we'll, well *Fake Yawn* starting to get tired all of a sudden see I guess coffee isn't working for me anymore. I am off to bed," she said and started to go up stairs.

"Night Lidi! If you need me come get me okay?" She said, kind of happy that maybe she'd be able to et some sleep for once.

"Goodnight Lidia!" Said Izzy. She noticed that Alaska looked kinda down that she moved away, so she moved back to how close she was and looked at her. "Better?" Izzy said as she smiled. 'I sure know I am.' She thought.

"Yeah, yeah I will," she said. She had no plans on sleeping she just wanted to give Alaska some time alone with Izzy.

Alaska smiled at Izzy, blushing a deep red.

"Mhm" She said, hugging her side and brushing her hair behind her ear.

"So what kind of music are you into?" she asked, hoping to find out a little more on this girl.

Izzy smiled a little at the blushing. She replied to her with a smile, "any kind mostly. I like a lot."
((oh my bad o-o))

"How about you?" She said as she looked at Alaska, who was still blushing. It was too cute.

(It's cool cx Don't worry about it.)

Alot of indie, metal, alternative, pup punk, stuff like that." she said, opening up a little bit. It was kind of foreign to her, but she'd manage. I can do this. It's no too bad to talk to people other than Lidia. You can do this. Talk about art, music, things you're familiar with. You don't have to have a panic attack this time. She thought, slowing her heart down a little bit.

"Oh cool. What else do you like?" Izzy thought it would be polite to get to know her, so their conversations aren't boring. 'Or for something else... Wait, what? Izzy stop thinking about this!' Izzy thought. She couldn't believe she was thinking that.

"Art, poetry, old literature. Just old junky stuff really. I could telly you a million useless fact about anything, but can't tell you how to figure out y from x really." She said, giggling at the girl's chain of faces. As if she was contemplating something in her head.

"Sometimes that's how I feel," Izzy smiled. "What are you giggling at?" 'Because it's really cute.. Izzy will you stop, your gonna blurt something out one of these days!' She thought, fighting with herself.

"You made a cute face! It looked like you were arguing with yourself." She said, suppressing a laugh.

Alaska chewed on one of her snakebites, fiddling around with her tongue, feeling the smooth spike. She triednot to move too much in fear that her sleeve would come up, or Izzy would grab her arm or see.

"Well it was adorable." She said, hugging the girl so she wouldn't feel so bad on herself. When she sat back down, she fied her sleeves so she was holding the ends in a bunch in her hands, and hugged her knees.

Izzy hugged the girl back. She saw the girl sitting there kinda awkwardly. "Are you okay?" 'Hold her and comfort her.. But I don't know why she's being like that.. Oh I don't know... Stop it!' Izzy once again fought with herself in her head. Then she realized Alaska notices when she does it and she turned red.

"Hm? I'm okay, promise."

Shit, you should've known better. Now she's going to ask about your sleeves and scars and she'll hate you!

Alaska mentally prodded herself, but tried to keep a straight face.

"So i'm not the only one who argues with myself." She smiled over to the girl giggling. She thought something was wrong, by the way she was holding her sleeves, but she decides to mind her own business and not ask.

"Ofcourse not. I just tend to say stupid shit." She chuckled, leaning back a little bit. The TV wasn't on, so this left an eerie silence throughout the house. All you could hear were the summer sounds from outside. The frogs, crickets, and what she thought was a stream not too far away. Apparently a near by neighbor had found their little house not too soon after, but after Alaska explained to him what was going on he was happy to hook everything up to the electric for them, and to help with any reconstruction if they needed. Apparently he was a runaway after the second world war from his father, so he was happy to help any way needed.

Alaska loved the silence, and the crisp air made it perfect for just cuddling with someone. but that person usually ended up being her teddy bear, or a crying Lidia. She didn't mind either.

Izzy decided to change the subject. "Have any movies? It's a nice night for a good chick flick." 'You're just saying that so you can cuddle with her.. Okay so what?.. Oh shut up!' Again, she argued. But it was okay, Alaska thought it was cute.

"Pretty much anything you can imagine. Once we found the place and got the van fixed up we made stops to a couple yard sales, so mostly horror and a couple chickflicks." She said, opening the trunk they used as a coffee table, showing it was full of movies. As Izzy chose one, Alaska got up to go get her teddy bear and large comforter from her room.

Izzy looked through the movies, she found her favorite movie. She snuck into the movie theater to see it, and she didn't regret it at all. She looked at the cover and read 'The Lucky One'. She sat back on the couch waiting for Alaska to come back.

Alaska crawled back on the couch, the lights were off so she though it safe to wear a tank top. When she sat on the couch, she snuggled up to Izzy, cuddling the teddy bear to her chest with the blanket over them.

When Alaska snuggled up to her, Izzy put her arms around her and snuggled with her, as the movie started. She made sure Alaska was warm and comfortable then paid attention to the movie.
