At the sound of the chime, Cerys lifted her head off her folded arms and, leaning back in her seat, ran her fingers through her long, slightly curly hair. 'Time for the first task,' she thought as she stood and gathered her study materials into her arms. Images from what she witnessed from a few days ago threatened to flood her vision, but she straightened her spine and lifted her chin. "Now is not the time to dwell on such thoughts," she muttered to herself as she made her way to her to Ravenclaw Tower. After answering the door's riddle she quickly went into her dorm room, put her possessions on her bed, and hurried out to where the Whomping Willow was rooted.
Stands were set up in a semicircle around the tree facing away from the castle. A large tent was set up for the champions and you could see Rita Skeeter hovering outside the tent waiting anxiously for them. 'When will that women ever quit?' Cerys thought with a small smile gracing her features. The well known reporter of course would not miss out on a chance at a scoop and a scoop the event was. The Triwizard Tournament isn't known to be the safest affair, what with the last time it was held a student having died. Cerys had faith that all would be well, but she couldn't help, but to feel a small sliver of apprehension. 'It's only the first task. Nothing bad will happen.
