Hogwart's Next Generation.

"Saying I don't look good now?" Scorpius joked, raising an eye brow to the girl which only provoked more sand to fall from his head.

Alaska bit her nail, waving an apology to Sky. "sorry! Close call."

Albus began changing the colors of the bowl when he got the idea to see if he could use an Accio spell for fire. After the fire inside was restored, he stood up for a second and tried to clear his head.

"Accio fire!" He said, and while it worked, it didn't work as he had planned. The fire channeled into his wand and at him, sending the boy flying across the room with a scorched hand.

"Ugh, awesome." He mumbled before blacking out from hitting the wall.

"You look....less kissable at the moment, yes." Rosie giggled some more and did a quick spell to put all of the sand in her bowl.

Gwen rolled her eyes at Albus, "Smooth move."

Tarron's eyes went wide. "...What happened?"

"Oooh," Tarron grinned. "I get it now. You shouldn't hide it, it's not that big of a deal. Pretty cool if you ask me."

Alaska looked at Albus, groaning and walking over to the poor boy. "Levicorpus." She said, dangling the passed out boy in the air. "Professor I'll be taking Potter to the medic station." She said, giving her a smile and walking out of the room.

Scorpius smiled, combing his hair back once more. "Thanks."

"You're kidding me right? It isn't neat?! You're different from everyone else, probably have cool powers, and you're saying it isn't neat?" Tarron grinned at her.

"My pleasure," Rosie giggled before turning her attention to the student in front of her, who just happened to be Daisy. "...Want to see something cool, sweetheart?" She asked Scorpius.

"Long as no one ends up like poor Potter." He chuckled, looping an arm around her waist.

"Alright," Rosie scrunched up her face at Daisy, deep in concentration.

Daisy whirls around as her entire body is covered in snapdragons. "You little-" She frantically tries to rip the flowers off only to have more bloom as people around her start laughing. After a few minutes of this they wilt and fall off. She gives Rosie a death glare. "You're going to regret that!" Daisy raises her wand, pointing it at Rosie's ugly face.

Rosie's face instantly falls and she backs up into the desk behind her, shaking a bit. "I-I-"

Sky shook her head. "No powers except the ability to breathe under water and turn half fish. Nothing really fun about it."

Scorpius stepped infront of Rosie, raising his own.

"Expelliarmus!"

A moment later, Daisies wand was sent flying around the room. Scorpius absentmindedly rolled up sleeves and took a step forward, keeping his wand to the ready.

"I would say you two are even. By the way, when changing colors, don't brag."

"Yeah," Sky frowned. "I prefer my flute though," she said. "I can exert less power through it. I don't like the idea of being manipulative."

Daisy looked at Scorpius in fear before glaring at Rosie behind him. "This isn't over." She said before fetching her wand and returning to her flame.

"Thanks..." Rosie whispered, her eyes on the floor as she took her seat again.
"Hey, at least you're honest." Tarron complimented. He sent her a wink, "And when in the company of a Paret, you don't have to hide it. We group up in a half beast household."

Scorpius watched Daisy return t her seat before kneeling down next to Rosie. "She;ll get over herself soon. She's just into shiny things, and her mum used t be the exact same way with my dad. I've heard stories of some of her tricks. Trust me, she backs off eventually though."

"Yeah, the girls are both half fairy." He smiled at her and put an arm around her shoulders, "Ever get into trouble, we're the people to stick up for you."

"If you're sure." Rosie glanced at her enemy then grinned at Scorpius. "Can you guess what snapdragon means?"

"Really?" He asked, his teenage mind going crazy ( xD ) before he smirked, "I'll have to schedule a swimming party then."
(Brb guys, dishes ><)

"Hmm... let me think. Is it you telling her you hate her?" He said, drumming his fingers along the table, imaging it was a piano along to a song his mother taught him. (I'm gonna have to go to sleep. Sorry guys. Waking up at 5:00 tomorrow for a city run while the officers are still eating their donuts.)

[[back from work!]]

Professor Salisbury raised an eyebrow at Gwen's retort, but said nothing. If she managed to do it, all the better for her, but she never put stock in powers outside of a wand. Very little, in her experience, beside wand magic, was as consistently reliable. As more of the students began to use water spells to extinguish their flames, she continued to bark out simple words of approval. This, of course, was interrupted by Albus, whose shenanigans sent him flying across the classroom. "Potter!" Salisbury snapped, not having had the least bit of patience with his sass earlier and was definitely not going to take any of his antics now. "I told you to extinguish the fire, not try and give it a hug! Twenty points from Gryffindor! Somebody take him to the infirmary," she said coldly, not bothering to see who it was. The start of the term was always the hardest; students weren't in the mindset to get back to work, and today they even seemed to be flaunting the simple task she'd picked to try in an attempt to ease them into their workload - not that she'd ever admit that that was her reasoning behind choosing it.

The scuffle between Rose, Daisy, and Scorpius was poorly timed with their professor's temper. It seemed that she had no sooner realized with some disappointment that it was Alaska that had taken Albus to the infirmary - she had been planning on asking the girl to demonstrate the charm she picked to the rest of the class - than Daisy was exploding with snap dragons and Scorpius' wand was raised. "That is enough!" Professor Salisbury roared. "I will not tolerate this kind of outright misbehavior in my classroom! That's fifteen points from each of your houses, and I want an essay on my desk tomorrow about the different kinds of extinguishing charms and when each of them are useful!" She was pointing her wand dangerously at the trio, although she had no intention of using it. "Opposite sides of the room, each of you! Go on! And, if anybody else feels like joining in the ruckus," she rounded on the rest of the class, "there's a detention waiting for you on the first Hogsmeade weekend." Salisbury took a breath, nostrils flaring before finally straightening her posture and looking around the room. "Those of you who have already succeeded in extinguishing your flames should help your neighbors that have not, then work on mastering your chosen technique. After everyone has finished, you will take out your books and begin on your homework assignment researching Fumos Bat Flamers."
[[Gah, how come I had to come back just as everybody was getting off? D:]]
