Fantasy High School For The Magically Gifted

((It's fine))

Stephanie grinned. "Nice to meet you Kirino" she said. "A boy, eh? I knew it!" Stephanie exclaimed happily. Stephanie composed herself, grabbed the nearest chair and sat on it. "I'm here for earth magic" she said, gesturing to the battling figurines on her table. "Why are you here?" Stephanie asked curiously.

"It's nice to meet you too," Kirino nodded faintly when she explained his gender and glanced over at her table when she gestured towards it, admiring the figurines with a soft expression,"they are very nice." He shifted his gaze back to Stephanie when she inquired information and rubbed the back of his neck,"well..I can control a few elements I guess, but mostly water and fire."

Stephanie's eyes sparkled. The mysterious thought had left her yet again. "Show me" she requested softly, waiting in anticipation.

"Ah..." Kirino stared at her a moment in thought. He wasn't sure what exactly he was supposed to do to demonstrate his powers considering he'd hardly used them. After a minute of thinking, he decided to just wing it. Delicate hands lifted from his lap and were placed against the desk with his palms facing up as water materialized from seemingly nowhere into his right, and fire in his left. Each element took the shape of a tendril, almost dancing across his pale skin towards each other whilst he slowly closed his hands together. When they met, they created a thick yet small cloud of steam that rose up from the spaces between his fingers and formed into a bird-like structure with wings outstretched high. Kirino blinked at his creation, keeping his hands together as the steam rolled from his hands.

Stephanie stared at Kirino in awe. He had combined his two elements and created a steam? Vapour? She can't get her science terms right, but that doesn't matter. "This is awesome!" Stephanie exclaimed, excited. "We should totally spar sometime" she said enthusiastically.

"Spar? I've never properly sparred before, but I guess I wouldn't mind that.." Kirino's concentration slipped at that moment, the entirety of his hands erupting into flames. He stared his arms blankly,"ah..I forgot~" he said this worriedly as the fire slowly became hotter, licking at the air with fading hues. He shook his hands a little, but it only made the flames bigger. " I only just learned how to use fire recently, and I'm not sure how to make it stop."

Stephanie smiled then flinched at the fire becoming brighter. "No worries about sparring. I'm sure you'll be a natural!" she said, grinning, looking at the fire. "I think I'll handle this. The school taught me some manipulation tricks outside of my comfort zone" she said, holding her hand out. "I'll try" she said, breathing slowly and made a closing motion with her right hand. The fire stopped, "Yes! I did it!" Stephanie exclaimed happily.

Kirino blinked, wide eyed in awe. "How did you do that?!" He placed his hands back onto the table as he leaned forward with excitement, using the chair as leverage from falling in between the table and chair as it was partially kicked back with his feet suspended beneath the bottom. A light pink tinged his cheeks from the excitement as he balanced himself onto his elbows, one of his low-hanging pigtails starting to loosen from their hold over his shoulder while he smiled wide and inquired,"can you teach me?!"

"Course I can!" Stephanie said, grinning. But before she could give him a crash course, the teacher came striding in. She hurled herself towards her table and waved a 'I'll-tell-you-later' gesture at him, while opening her textbook.

Leonidas was listening in on their conversation. He turned around and spoke to them, "You two see rather keen on learning about the pyro arts. If you want I can teach you a thing or two." He smiled. Leonidas made some of his feathers appear in his arm. He plucked two of them, cringing and tearing up slightly. He sniffled, wiping his eyes and made the Phoenix feathers float over and land on top of their desks. Leonidas made his arm go back to normal as he continued to just sit there.

Justin watched as Leo started showing off again. He's all bark and no bite. If I didn't get so cocky, I would have beaten him easy...but I did..that's the beauty of being human.. Justin thought, vowing to strengthen his abilities to be able to influence other parts of the brain, not just the visual part of it. He looked back at Ruby. "So...why did you come to this school. What brought you here?" Justin asked.

@Steel Zinogre

Kirino flopped back into his seat properly when she dashed away because of the teacher. He shook his head lightly, only for the loosened tail to release onto his shoulder. A quiet huff escaped as he fixed the hair, pausing his actions when something landed on his desk. Kirino wasn't paying much attention to what was going on around him, seeing as there was so many people around and it would've made him ill. The pupils of blue eyes formed into thin slants whilst he picked up the feather between his index finger and thumb, examining it. "what..?"

'Hey Pink.' I say as I move next to the person woth pink hair, 'That is a Phoenix Feather from the guy right in front of you, I'm Alexander by the way, what's your name?'

Kirino looked at Alexander and blinked, smiling softly, "I'm Kirino." He looked at the feather and twirled it between his two fingers,"Phoenix feather? Like the bird from stories?" Obviously, kirino, it's a feather. He gently shook his head at himself, his pupils returning to normal.

'Yeah, the guy in front of you is a phoenix, and he already found someone he likes I believe. So, what are you able to do right now?'

Leonidas smirked and turned around, "Well, I think Kirini is pretty cute. I wouldn't mind having some quality time with you." He winked at Kirino. Leonidas chuckled and turned back around, enjoying himself greatly.

@kyuuketsuki @BorimorWathal

'You know what, It's still weird knowing there are other mythological creatures here.' I say to Kirino 'It's odd thinking that I got a place at this school, I got turned down from a few because of how I look.'

(I'm sorry for late replies, my notifications are messing up.))

Kirino was about to reply to Alexander when the Phoenix turned around and spoke. His brows furrowed upward from his words, what is that supposed to mean..he shifted his gaze back to Alexander and replied,"well, not all people or places judge others on appearance. I think that it's nice this school didn't stoop to such a low standard. Besides, I think you look pretty cool," he smiled lightly with a quiet, minute laugh,"I like the fact that there are other mythological creatures here...it kind of helps knowing that you're not only one, and that there are others willing to help you learn about yourself and the world around you." He stopped when he realized he was babbling and swayed his feet a bit, running his fingers along the outside of the feather.

"Well, elemental control and.....shifting? I think that's what it is called," Kirino's gaze drifted off when he thought about it,"yeah..form changing."

"Ah, telekinesis?" Kirino pondered, small fingers coming to cup his own chin in thought,"that's a pretty cool ability...and You would never have to climb to reach things on the top shelf." He was joking about the last part, but it was also true.

'Hehe Yeah, it does help with stuff like that, I guess my abilities aren't all that annoying, it is bad when I accidentally freeze the bath though, that's REALLY not fun. . .' I say while creating a ball of clear ice in my hands.

"I'd imagine so," kirino giggled slightly and flicked his gaze to the ball of ice when it formed,"I'm not very experienced in creating and properly controlling elements.."

He propped his face into his palm, using the desk as support for his elbow while he watched Alexander, waving the feather with a free hand and wondering what he was going to do with the sphere.

'This really bugs people, feeling something they can't see.' I say to Kirino as I toss the ball of clear ice at Leonidas. 'Lets see lovebird's reaction.' I whisper.
