Fantasy Hell Academy: The Final Test

Mortality is better than immortality in this sense; you only live once, so you must make the best of your incredibly limited life. In other words, mortals celebrate their lives even more than immortals do. Quite an interesting concept.
Bismarck

06 June, Year XXXX, 6:32. Bismarck/Sierra's Apartment on Poe Blvd.

"Square root of 144?"

"Twelve."

"Square root of 169?"

"Oral—I mean, 13."

"Good. You'll nail it. We'll nail it." Bismarck smiled, putting his hands on Sierra's shoulders. "Just as long as you don't make erotic jokes."

Sierra rolled her eyes. "Oooookay. I promise."

"G-good....I made sandwiches for us this morning.....don't forget to review the test with your friends during breaks."

"All right.....all right..." Sierra opened the door and the two of them walked out. "I'll do fine, Big Brother, promise...."

"Good.....great! I like your self-confidence."

"Why, thank you." Sierra bowed to Bismarck; Bismarck chuckled. "Come on. To the bus stop!" She dragged her cousin to the bus stop. Then they waited with their fellow classmates. Little did either of them know that the test was not what they expected. And only one of them would make it out alive.

Chaka had woken up with a smile and a look of wonder in his eyes." Ahh I wonder what the day will hold for me today?" He then leapt out of bed and began to get his clothes read for school. He was very excited about today. After all they had their big test, and he had a good feeling about them."Yes, this is going to be great, I shall pass with flying colors!" Chaka assured himself as he wrapped his face up with bandages and got the rest of his stuff. He quickly ran out of the house making sure to stop in the kitchen for toast. He soon made his way to the bus stop humming happily, and noticed two others. @femjapanriceball

Serena

Serena set her flute down on her lap, promptly leaning over her music stand to write more scribbles on her heavily marked music sheet. She had been trying to nail this solo for the competition coming up, but she was just having troubles with those third octave septuplets, and they were very much annoying her. For some reason, she had trouble fitting so many notes into the single beat despite it being adagio. Well, there was a pretty big reason; the higher octave fingerings were just so hard to change between at such a high frequency. She set her pencil down, having marked the accents for emphasis. If she didn't play it in just the right way, it might not be as moving, and she couldn't have that.

The only reason she was practicing alone in the music room was because the student council meeting had gotten out early. With prom being over, their last project had been concluded, and they hardly had anything left to do for the rest of the semester. Thus, she wanted to spend what little time she had practicing for the looming competition, striving to perfect her aria as much as possible. Besides, it wasn't like the other students would be here too soon.

Turning her metronome back on, she bobbed her head slightly to the beat, running through the fingerings of the septuplets with her fingers before she tried it for real. For once, she got them all in, though she still wasn't satisfied. She still wasn't putting enough emphasis on those accents, and even though note accuracy was important, the style was every bit as pertinent to nail down.

After a few more mediocre runs of that section, she decided to move on to clear her mind. If she could at least play the notes, perhaps the style would just come to her later. She moved on to the most dynamic and perhaps most powerful part of the piece, which was much easier for her to project since it didn't require a lot of quick movements with her fingers. That and there weren't a whole slew of accidentals ready to trip her up on the already horrendous key.

She finished with a content smile, lowering her flute and turning off her metronome. Almost fluidly, she grabbed her phone from her pocket and inserted her earphones, unlocking it to the piece that was already up. She hit play on one of her favorite pieces, the Moonlight Sonata. She turned up the volume to help her consume her thoughts as she closed her eyes for a moment to catch a rare moment of relaxation. In time, she would return to her solo to have another run at those septuplets, determined to perfect the last portion of the solo. For now, it was time to become lost in her thoughts and to the movement of the song.

Bismarck looked up to see his classmate, Chaka, next to him. He didn't really know him that well; only that they shared homerooms. "......Hi........" he muttered, looking at the ground. Sierra didn't say anything; she just clung to her cousin's shirt, looking warily at her upperclassman.

Chaka smiled brightly at them both and walked next to them. All of a sudden he wrapped his arms around them both in a hug."Hello friends it's a wonderful day to be alive. I do hope your feeling great today, after all we have test coming up." Chaka said cheerfully as he hugged them both tightly.

When Chaka hugged the Saedors, it turned into a totally awkward moment. Neither Sierra nor Bismarck were very touchy-feely around people they didn't know, but they certainly weren't rude. Sierra just gave the guy a weird look; Bismarck tried to subtly worm out of the hug.

"Uh.....y-yeah....I feel just peachy...." he muttered. ".....C-could you let go.....?"

Chaka frowned and pulled away," oh I am sorry I just love hugs, and assumed everyone did." Chaka said turning towards the road a sad look on his face." I'll leave you alone now." Chaka told them as he watched for the bus. @femjapanriceball

"......" Bismarck looked at Chaka with a blank face. "....I-I'm sorry, I'm just not much of a hugger, it's nothing personal, really...." he said hastily as the bus arrived. "....So....how are you feeling about the test?"

Chaka smiled at them both wildly as he walked onto the bus." Feeling good about it! This will be a piece of cake for me." He said confidently as he took a seat at the front of the bus.

Bismarck and Sierra walked into the bus, taking their seats, as it lurched forward. "....W...well, that's good....I've been studying like crazy, but I'm still not sure if I'll pass...."

"You'll be fine...."

Mark didn't want to study, studying would mean going through everything he went over before again. Mark didn't want to do that. Mark got on the bus and sat on his favorite seat near the window. He saw Bismarck and Sierra near him. "Oh, Hi Bismarck and Sierra. Are you ready for the test?"

@femjapanriceball

Chaka noticed Mark and smiled even wider."Hello Mark, you looking forward to the test? I know I am, it'll be our final year at school. Ahh the memories," Chaka sighed and thought of all the good times he's had at school. That time he got some of his string caught on someones locker and ripped them off the wall. The time he accidentally walked into the girls locker room thinking it was the boys locked room. Which was a honest mistake as he was just learning how to read. He would miss the school but then again he was excited to move on with his life. @femjapanriceball @Thatonechillgirl

Sierra held onto her cousin's shoulder, her fingernails digging into it, when she saw another senior, a boy, enter. Bismarck winced. "......Er....I guess so....I've studied all week, so I hope I'm prepared." He took out his notebook, going over his notes for the millionth time. Mark was his other classmate, and the two of them were on fairly good terms. "Can you believe it...? Three more days and we're going to be college students...I'm hoping to get into Harvard." He chuckled when Chaka added his own input on the memories. "Yes, like the locker room incident," he said cheerfully, chuckling to himself. He had never forgotten that moment. He, personally, would never forget that one embarrassing day when he wound up singing in the talent show wearing a girl's sailor suit for extra credit, only to realize it was all a prank. The song still went through his head. He hummed it unconsciously. Sierra ended up laughing her head off.

The bus arrived at the next stop and a red-haired, green-eyed girl got on. "Oh, I heard there's a test today, I hope that studying will pay off." she worried wait, why are they testing everyone, when all the seniors are a higher level to us. And, they said the test not the tests. There is something fishy here... though it might be a teamwork test, joy.

She looked at the school "I wonder where that idiot is?" She asked herself referring to her friend. Pretty much the only one she ever had. She leaned against a tree spinning her scissors around in her free hand.

Sierra grinned, relieved to see another freshman, a girl from her class. She waved her over. "Hi, Melane...! I'm really....really nervous about the test," she said, still holding onto Bismarck's arm. "This is my cousin....you know, the one from the talent show who dressed like a girl and sang...." She chuckled. "He's funny!"

".....B-be quiet, Sierra...." Bismarck muttered, looking away. "That was a prank..."

"A good one!"

Bismarck's face flushed; the bus stopped at Hölle Academy. The building itself was huge, with over a thousand rooms, two swimming pools, a theatre, a courtyard, and one ginormous gymnasium. The Saedor cousins walked out.

"See you after school," Bismarck said, waving as he walked through the gates. He felt a strange rushing feeling, as though there was some sort of spell. Anti-cheating spell, he reassured himself before sitting down on a bench.

"I remember that! I'm glad to see a familiar face, Sierra! I'm nervous too. I hope it isn't like the last one." she shuddered, "That was just cruel." Melane walked through the gate and she suddenly felt really cold. Dang it, she thought, musta left my coat on the bus.

"Yeeeeeah.....all those questions! There were too many!" Sierra flailed her arms tiredly. "I thought I was gonna die of question overdose...hopefully they'll be easy on us freshies....." She shuddered as she walked through the gate. "....C-cold...."

"I know. It's a bit better now. Shame I left my coat on the bus." Melane sighed. The bell rang and Melane turned round. "Quick! We're gonna be late!" she ran towards the building.

Eric got off of the bus having not talked to anyone not even his friend Hide Lotus yet. Hide might have not noticed by now but Eric wanted to be more than just friends. He walked through the spell, noticing it as he did. He felt magic differently than other people being what he was. When the bell rang it startled Eric and he was shocked back into his ghostly form for a second.He then made his way to the school again.

"R-right! The entire school is supposed to meet in the gym, so....yeah." Sierra grabbed Melane's hand, running to the gym, where several seats were set up. She sat with her fellow freshmen, shaking nervously. "Oh, my god, I'm gonna fail...."

Bismarck seated himself with the seniors, looking around. All of the teachers were on the stage, looking grimly at the sight of the students walking around, chatting.
Wonder what's brought them down. He exhaled. Just stay calm, no matter what. He heard a voice on the intercom, reminding those who didn't know:

"All students please assemble in the gym."

@Wyatt @Thatonechillgirl @Cicero
@Robyn Banks @Trombone Geek @Mitchs98 @TripTripleTimes (when Emu is created) @LilyannaGaming @deadpool42

Eric walked into the gym taking a seat next to a senior that was on the edge of seniors and juniors. He looked at the senior and quickly looked away.
