Maka sighed. She got a key and unlocked the doors to the cafe, since she was trusted to open. She opened everything, and sat down and read for a while, since she was two hours early.

Let's see. How did I even start working here? Oh, right. A year ago. But it wasn't very popular. Especially when one of the God's destroyed the old place. So now the Owner and I have moved places, and this is the new one. And there's new employees starting. Great. Maka didn't particularly like people. Strange, coming from a girl who was a maid in the Heaven Cafe, where she'd have to happily entertain and serve customers daily with a smile plastered to her face. She sighed, and shut the book. Maka dressed into the maid outfit that was her uniform., and practiced her strained welcoming.

This was going to be a long day for her.

Maka waited for the arrival of the new employees. They'd all be gods. Like her, of course. God of Death, Grim Reaper. And she wasn't going to give them a welcoming that was all smiles and hugs. They should arrive any minute, so that we have an hour and a half to prepare and meet each other.

"Well i guess we'll be able to see the new Employee today then" Kona said as he talked to himself he of course brought his chef whites as he continued to walk towards the cafe. "*sigh* hello beautiful" he said looking at the cafe. He then opened the door and saw the Grim Reaper herself he wasn't going to spare time to grovel at her excellence's he had prep to do, he'll just give her a quick hello "Hello you must be the new employee name's Kona Hanazawa God of Fire now if you don't mind i got some prep to do good to have you here" He said as he then got into the changing room's to change

"Fine, Kona." Maka said coldly, not lifting her stare form her book. So this is the chef, huh?

She heard the Owner talk into her mind, something only she and the Owner could do.
"Hey, hey, hey Maka!" he said, bright and bubbly as ever. He's the God of life, and everything. "Greetings, Master." she replied in her head. "I just want to say that you should greet your new fellow work mates a little nicer. Maybe smile? It can't hurt too much, even for the Grim Reaper!" He laughed. "Oh, and you don't need to call your own daddy Master, Maka!" Oh, right. He's my father. "Fine, Dad, although I'm not making any promises. Bye" And with that, she cut off the communication. They both sighed. Maka waited for the chef to come back, and for the new employees to come in.

Alice placed her hand over her mouth as she yawned. She stopped just outside the cafe and read the sign, making sure that she came to the right place. 'Heaven Cafe,' the sign on the building clearly said that, indicate that she came to the right place. She pushed the door open and saw another God, who was already in the maid uniform. She closed the door behind her then smiled,
"Hi, I'm Alice, I'm going to be working here as a maid. Please take care of me." She looked for the change room door and smiled when she found it. "I'll be right back," she informed her fellow God before disappearing into the change room. She quickly changed into her maid uniform and put her casual clothes in the locker provided. She walked out of the change room and stood next to the God she has created not too long ago.

"Alice? Welcome to the Cafe." Maka tried to smile, but in ended up looking really scary. She couldn't fake smile unless in front of customers. She dropped her failed smile and looked back at the book. "Once everyone arrives, we will meet each other and introduce ourselves properly. I'm Maka Fujimoto, acting Owner of the Cafe while the Master is away. And, a maid." Oh, she almost forgot. She was the Grim Reaper too. But she didn't need to explain that until later, right? Surely the huge scythe next to her and the dark, one eye covering fringe hairstyle and gloomy eyes gave it away, right?

"Ah come on work you stupid thing!!" Kona said kicking the stove flames begun to come of his body little spars near his head. He then manged to finally get the stove to work. "finaly thank god" he said as he then begun to put on other equipment. "Hay what's on the menue today i need to know please thanks" he said as his flames descended it only happens when he's in a bad mood

Maka stalked over to the kitchen. "At the Heaven Cafe, we cook anything and everything our customers ask for. You are a god, aren't you? So it shouldn't be a difficult task." She leaned over and stared at the boy, Kona, the new chef. "I'd like you to come out of of the kitchen. My da- the Master wishes for us to 'socialize' and become friends, even though I personally am highly annoyed by that. Oh well." Maka sighed as she walked back into the eating area. She sat near Alice, and waited for Kona to come so they could begin introducing themselves. Why couldn't I have been born Human, not Grim Reaper, and go to high school and maybe even have a part time job at a fast food restaurant? I'd rather that than having to work full time at this place. Too bad Gods aren't allowed normal teenage lives. Dammit.

"You got 10 muinites do you know how much food i need to prep if we cook evrything" he said looking at her before heading outside "anyway you seem the same as me i just want to cook and go home just as much as you do" He said looking at Grim reaper "Althow i take my job with much seriuseness as much as any other cheag as long as you are not in my way you'll be fine ayway might as well introduce myself Names Kona Hanazawa the god of fire im the chef and trust me if a costumer is saying there food is not perfect they can do one" He said harshly as he looked at them

"Maka Fujimoto. Acting Owner when the Owner and master is away, which is all the time. A maid. As well as the Grim Reaper, God of Death. And frankly, I don't like this place very much either, so that makes two, Mister Kona." Maka introduced herself. The boy seemed to come off as wild and mildly aggressive. "Oh, and if anyone dares to annoy, tease or insult me in any way, I won't hesitate to send your head rolling down to the basement. And if you're late, I'll kill you"

Maka snapped out of her scariness and looked at the two, waiting for responses.

"eh i had worse got into a argument with my ex girlfraind about meatloaf, not everyday you get in a argument with the god of love" He said before heading towards the kitchne and continued to prep the food. He then begun to look at the Grim Reaper "Hay Grim what guest's we having today the usual and also" he said getting a saled "Give something to the guy outside the cafe" He said looking at her giving her the saled by putting it on the pass. he then looked at the two "Oh by the way if any of you lot step in my kitchen and tell me how to prepare my food let's just say some costumers won't mind some eye socket's int here supe" he said continuing his work

(( got to go ))

"Well then, if you continue to annoy me I hope they don't mind blood on the floor."

Maka went back to her reading, and waited for the other employees to arrive as Alice sort of.. sat there, smiling, and Kona prepared the food in the kitchen.

Alice didn't know exactly what happened, but she knew that these two won't get along as well as she thought. The Chef appears to be very arrogant, in her opinion, but she kept that to herself. The Maid, Maka, was what she expect from a Grim Reaper.
"I'm Alice, God of War," she introduced herself to them, "I'll go and set up the tables." She really hope that today won't be as long as she thought it will be, but seeing the situation, it'll be her longest day ever. She stood up and went over to set up the tables and double check that everything was fine.

[sorry went to eat something]

It was a good day.

Ma'khan had no idea why as he strode his way through the sun.

He just simply knew it was.

It hadn't a thing to do with the smells in the air, something about the mixture of gasoline from car engines and garbage just wasn't very appealing to him. But nonetheless the warmth in the air was excellent, even if a bit bright. He tipped his hat as he rounded the corner to get the light from his eyes.

He had heard mention of quite a good cafe down this way.

Never walk somewhere the same way twice... He thought.

It was quite an unremarkable morning, seemed everyone was too lazy to get out of bed, or perhaps work occupied them. He'd been a waiter once. It simply wasn't the life of Ma'khan. To much negative energy.

He reached his hands into the deep pocket of his tattered grey slacks, and pulled a wad of one dollar pills and change out of his pocket.

Think I need something warm.

He patiently waited for the walk sign to change at the corner across the way. Many walked past him, perhaps wondering why he stood rather than dodging traffic and cars to save a second or two.

I've got nothing but time.

The sign changed and he lazed his way across, guitar swinging at his back.

He could hear yelling as he opened the door, and before him a very confused looking young woman, scuttling about with cutlery.

"Hello miss, table for one? I've got too much of this silly money on my hands it seems...."

A young man with a handful of money walked in, asking for a table for one. Something strange seemed to follow him. An aura, almost... Oh. He's a god?

Maka approached the man and Alice, who'd been laying out cutlery.
"I'm sorry, but the Cafe isn't open yet. But feel free to stay here until it does open... Mr God." Maka knew what he was. She just wondered which God he was. She'd never met a customer who was also a God. If she was wrong, and he wasn't a God, there'd be a bit of a problem on her hands. But her instincts could tell he wasn't a mere mortal.

Alice was too busy and too focus in her work that she didn't even notice a costumer, a God no less, walked in. When the costumer spoke she turned around and stopped what she was doing. She smiled apologetically to the costumer as Maka explained to his that we were still close.
"Don't worry sir," she assure him, "We'll be open soon. " She continued with her work and every now and then she would look at the costumer, trying to figure out which God he is, if he is a God at all. She was curious, a trait that she has for as long as she could remember and sometime curiosity get the better of her.

Alice turned around, smiling. She was quite bright and bubbly. Maka tried to remember her application that her father had shown her... God of... God of War? That's odd. This little bubble is a god of war? How interesting.

Now that this young man was going to stay here while they prepped the cafe, Maka figured she could drop the 'happy maid' act. Her smile disappeared, replaced with gloom.
"Another annoying person? Grr. And he's a god too? That's worse." Maka looked at the boy with a glare that could kill on sight. "What's your name, God?"

@Mistic

@TheoremAlpha

"Ma'khan, and might I ask the name behind the pretty purple-red eyes of yours?" He looked at her, she was quite pretty. Though he knew who she was already, someone very powerful and a negativity around her. He always had a keen sense of people, could always feel what they were feeling. And like most, she was suspicious and annoyed by him.

He took his grey cap off, gave a little crooked smile he was blessed with my the scars and nerve damage on his face. "What's got you so fussed about? World's too beautiful to be so dreary minded,"...

Maka growled quietly. This guy seemed to happy go lucky. "Well, Ma'khan, next time you call me pretty I might just chop off your head with my scythe? How does that sound? And my name's Maka, Fujimoto." Maka seemed a little suspicious of him, as well as a bit annoyed. "What's got you so fussed about?World's too beautiful to be so dreary minded," Ma'khan said, a crooked but genuine smile on his face. Well, she might as well take her chances. "You're a God, aren't you?" she asked with a piercing voice.

@TheoremAlpha

"You know, I never liked that title, really... God, it feels too grand. But I suppose if you mean there's something odd about me that no one else seems to have, perhaps. Never benefits me much, however," He took a seat by the host's desk. This Maka intrigued him. See, he was never one to feel fear or intimidation. Perhaps through others, but never his. So all her tough stares, all her gaurded words, just in the end seemed humorous and interesting to him.

He looked forward to getting to know her more. "And hey, if my head is removed for speaking the truth, then by all means let it be. Maybe it's a good look for me, never fancies my own head much anyway. Maybe a new one would do," She couldn't feel it, she would never know as no god no matter how keen could sense it's subtlety. But he could feel the rage seeping out of her, falling into his own welcoming mind to be his burder to carry and resolve.

He had the feeling she'd be feeling quite well soon. "So what could I afford here with....." He fumbled about and counted his dollars, he had 34.43. "....15 dollars?" He looked up eagerly, his legs bouncing up and down, too restless to stay still in his seat...

Alice put the cutlery away and sit down behind the counter. She noticed Maka's smile dropped and realised that her act has ended. She watch cautiously as Maka asked the costumer the questions. She kept quiet and wait to hear the reply. She tried to keep in her laugh as the costumer, who now have the name of Ma'khan, based for Maka's name. There was nothing wrong with it, but the way he asked for her name will earn him quite a few...well...I rather not say it. Alice watched in amusement as the two continue talking. "At least it won't e boring today," she mumbled to herself quietly.

"Whatever." Maka rolled her eyes, getting more frustrated and more frustrated every second she had to look at this man and his gung-ho smiles. But she remembered her father's words, his constant reminding for her to be nicer to people. Does that exclude annoying Gods who think life is all fun and games?! She thought angrily in her head. Maka noticed her inside emotions were making odd expressions on her face, so she quickly covered it up with a mask of no expression, just glaring at the customer. "Fifteen dollars? A cup of tea and some cake. But you'll have to wait until we open, Mister, in one hour. So either you go, or stay here and risk getting torn apart later by me. You're choice!" Maka said the last sentence with a mocking sweetness, then turned away to clean with a mop. She noticed Alice mumbling to herself and almost watching her with amusement. Was she really the God of War?? Maka went away for a second to go get some more cleaning supplies, and catch a break from the too happy customer, the angry chef, and the sweet little Maid who obviously wasn't what she was supposed to be. This was going to be a long day.

He stood and leaned playfully around the corner as she scurried off, the same crooked smile on his face. He admired her fiesty nature, if maybe a bit too aggressive for his liking. There was still hope for her, however. Perhaps she was just on edge with opening an establishment run by gods. 'I can definitely understand the pressure there,'

He noticed the bubbly Maid detailing her section, polishing every glass with care, making sure all the place settings were evenly lined up around the red cloth napkins, getting rid of any dust or crumbs that may be hiding about. Someone maybe a little less dreary to speak with than the grim reaper herself.

Though she seemed quite busy, so he opted to spin around on the heels of his feet, lean his guitar down on the edge of the chair, and took his seat once again with a plop, waiting room chairs beat concrete any day. The light was rising off in the distance, bathing the room in a pale yellow tone.

'Beautiful morning,'

Alice was almost done with her job when she noticed that Ma'khan has a guitar. She kept working but kept her eyes on him, its better to be safe than sorry. She heard Ma'khan spoke up as she finished her job here and replied to him,
"It sure is." She grabbed a glass of water then walked over and place it on the table near him. "You shouldn't push her too much," she said to him, "she might really torn you apart." She observed him. Ma'khan didn't answer Maka's question about which God he is, if she remember correctly, and she didn't even introduce herself. "I'm Alice, nice to meet you," she introduced herself to the costumer.

"The pleasure is mine, Alice," It never mattered how much he tried, he could never help himself smiling at the sight of a pretty girl. As usual, he could sense something about her, and underneath all the bubbles was something quite a bit darker. A god of war perhaps, they were always a fun group."She's just stressed out, there's always more to people than what they show you,".

He lifted the glass, drank deeply. He couldn't remember the last time he had a properly chilled glass of water and it was brilliant. "Thank you darlin'. So what's your story?"
