      He's outgoing, warm, and easy to approach. Drake used to pride himself on being a "one man welcoming party" and would always try to be the first to introduce himself to new people. Of course, many of those new people would grow sick of him and never talk to Drake again, but that was okay! His questions can come super rapid fire and he knows this.
      
      Unfortunately, Drake's moods tend to swing. In a manic episode, he's often bouncing off the walls, talking rapidly, waking up at four AM to go for a run before school, and seems generally... happy, if not a bit kind of totally off. During a depressive episode, Drake often cannot convince himself to crawl out of bed and it's easy to see in his general demeanor -- the excitement is replaced with weary smiles, dark bags under his eyes, and a general distaste and distraction from the world.
      
      In the depressive episodes, Drake tends to be more volatile. He might snap more, he smokes more, he sticks to himself more, and he'll try to shut people out. He becomes more antisocial, and he'll often skip out on school and just... give up. It's easy to pick up when he's in one of these episodes, although it's hard to do much to be there for him when he's just going to shut you down and say that he's just tired.
      
      It's also a well-known fact that Drake is a stoner -- but not just a stoner, but a straight up addict... okay, so that part isn't as well known. Him and his brother have done a decent job of keeping his... addictions under wraps, but the stoner part? Yeah, everyone knows that. It's known that he'll even share some of his weed with you if you ask because, well, he's just such a friendly guy, you know?
      
      Basically... Drake is either the rabbit or the turtle from that old childhood story about the Hare vs. the Turtle.

      **TRIGGER WARNINGS: drugs**
      
      Drake was born the youngest of three. His parents' relationship had been on the brink of divorce for a while and, when his father found out that Mason wasn't his and the boys' mother had indeed cheated on him, he ended up packing his stuff and took Drake's older sister and moved away. Drake has never actually met his father, a fact that used to bother him but nowadays, he could care less. Neither of his parents really had a hand in raising him -- instead, Drake was mostly on his own, or relying on Mason's help.
      
      Growing up, the boys' mother was pretty much always hooked on something and was either drunk, high, or a mixture of both, which left Mason and Drake to fend for themselves. Their mother wasn't the nicest, especially to Mason and often blamed her eldest son for her husband leaving -- which left Drake bitter towards his brother growing up. Due to neglect growing up, Mason and Drake were also in and out of foster care a lot.
      
      Despite the slight bitterness that Drake had felt towards Mason when they were growing up, he also relied on him immensely throughout the years -- after all, it wasn't their mother that was paying the bills or putting food on the table.
      
      As he got older, he learned to appreciate all that Mason sacrificed, and he holds a deep amount of respect for his older brother now.
      
      However, the close relationship between the brothers was put to the test around the time Drake had just started middle school when Mason met Adriane.
      
      Now, Drake did (and still does) absolutely adore and love Adriane. In a lot of ways, Drake thinks she saved both him and his brother. No, he doesn't recognize the unhealthy dependency that Mason developed towards her, or the emotional manipulation, or the abuse, because to him, all of that was... normal. She still treated Mason better than their mother had ever treated him, so why would Drake ever dislike her?
      
      Although, with his brother more wrapped up in his girlfriend... and then when Mason and Adriane found out that she was pregnant, well...
      
      Drake was left to his own devices, more or less. He had less guidance. He was home alone more. He hadn't picked up on the same survival skills that Mason had, so there were days that he would go without eating because Mason wasn't home. Yeah, he was not at all good at taking care of himself.
      
      It was only a matter of time until he started smoking weed, and then tried pills that some guy on the street corner offered him, and soon...
      
      Well, it was a slippery slope.
      
      It's been fun. For a while.
      
      And he guesses it still is fun, kinda. It keeps him out of the house, anyway. Although he does miss a lot of school -- he can't always remember what days school is, ya know. Lot going on.

      Connor is kind of... vacant, and a little distant from everyone. He's not usually one to strike up conversation, and would much rather just quietly observe than get directly involved. Of course, if he is approached and someone talks to him, obviously he'll talk. He's just... not usually going to start it.
      
      Despite his off-putting personality that should've labeled him as a loner since childhood, he's actually become kind of popular -- likely due to how good he is at sports. Sports are kind of his life, although he's gone from being in many, to just being in football for his senior year. He's not overly competitive, although he doesn't like to lose (just like everyone -- let's be honest), but Connor never really lets a loss get to him. He's mostly a team player, but takes a backseat to any kind of leadership role within the team.
      
      He tends to act off impulse with some things. If an urge strikes, Connor will go for it without thinking over the consequences. The... result of that has been broken friendships, and kind of the cause of the breakup with his first girlfriend. But hey, it is what it is.

      Born and raised in Haven Falls, his parents are well-off and as such, they certainly have... certain expectations of their kids, especially their eldest. From a young age, it was pressed onto Connor's shoulders that his reputation was everything, and from a young age, the stress of that certainly got to him.
      
      Luckily, Connor enjoyed sports and even more luckily, sports came easily to him. He excelled in everything that he tried, and he had equal success in school. There was nothing that was really difficult for him.
      
      Sure, his parents were hard on him, but he had Byron and later, an adopted sister named Li Mei. Until Byron started to lash out at him, and well... to say the least, things aren't great between the brothers anymore.
      
      At some point in his sophomore year of school, Connor got his first girlfriend -- Sam. And things were going fairly well... until he cheated on her with Alexandra. But hey, all things happen for a reason, right? Because him and Alexandra have been together for a year, and he doesn't really have any complaints.
      
      Now... he's just biding his time until he can leave for college.

      Lia is... angry. There's no way around it. She has a short temper, and a short fuse, and she'll snap at those around her without thinking of the consequences right away. In the moment, she generally thinks that she's right -- although, to be honest, she almost never is.
      
      She feels deeply, and those emotions tend to just always come out... wrong. It doesn't matter how Dahlia is feeling -- it'll usually turn into frustration, which will turn into anger. As such, she's almost always on edge, and tense.
      
      Dahlia is the most fun when she's... far away from home, and far away from school. One on one with people, she tends to relax, let loose, and become an easier person to deal with. Plus, there are a small handful of people that are safe from her outbursts.

      As the baby of the family, Dahlia was often spoiled when she was young. Well, as spoiled as she could be. Her family wasn't exactly well-off, often living paycheck to paycheck as her parents struggled to pay for three kids, and their small house that constantly had things breaking down around them.
      
      Growing up, she of course noticed the way that her parents -- especially -- her dad treated her older sister and brother, Willow and Reed. She'd often hear the yelling through the bedroom wall, as she sat at her desk, kicking her feet and adding glitter to whatever little drawing she happened to be working on. At some point, it all became... background noise. Like hearing the rain fall, or birds chirp, or the sound of cars outside, it was just part of Dahlia's environment, and she didn't realize there was anything wrong with it.
      
      It wasn't until she grew a little older, and she started going to her friends' houses that she started to realize that something wasn't quite right with her family.
      
      The older she got, the worse it got. She stopped being the spoiled baby, and started to be subjected to her parents' abuse more and more. By middle school, Dahlia was finding every opportunity to not go home -- mostly by hanging out for as long as she could at her best friend's house, Alexandra. She had a few other friends that she'd crash at, too, but Alexandra had become more like a sister to her than anything else.
      
      At home, she was quiet. At school, she was loud. She acted out. She got into trouble. She struggled with her classes. Everything about school made her angry.
      
      When she was a freshman in high school, Willow graduated and moved away as fast as she could. With one kid down, her parents' attention started to turn on her more. Up until that point, being the third and forgotten kid, she'd escaped most of it.
      
      With it turned up, she started to act out more. She spent most of her time hanging out at parties, crashing at anyone's house but her own. Of course, Dahlia still never let it be known why she never invited people over, and she tended to stray away from home, but... some people could tell. She could tell that they knew, and honestly, it's something that pisses her off more than anything.
      
      Reed graduated last year, and he's also gone. Which means that now, it's just Dahlia.
      
      At home. With her parents. Alone.

      Damien is... kind of a mixed bag. On one hand, he gets really excited over the dumbest things, and he's really into comic books and animations. His dream job? Working for Pixar-- or maybe not Pixar. Probably something... with more gore. More horror-ish. So yeah, he's kind of a nerd.
      
      He has difficulty making lasting connections, and doesn't exactly have a ton of friends. Back when he lived in California, he would move schools so often that eventually, he stopped pushing for friends. Instead, he'd kind of stick to himself -- which led to some rumors being spread about him. One school, he showed up to with a black eye, and it was spread that he'd been expelled from his last school for beating someone unconscious. In another school, the nickname Slutter caught on for the worst of reasons.
      
      It... did give him some undue confidence, although the confidence never sticks around for long.
      
      So yeah, he's kind of quiet, kind of a loner.
      
      All of that being said, on the rare occasion that he does develop an actual attachment to someone, Damien tends to be... a bit overprotective, and a little overbearing. He tends to worry a lot about his friends and will blindly jump to their defense no matter what, and he's also a bit of a hypocrite. Doing something stupid? Fine for him, but he'll lecture his friends nonstop if they were to do the same things.
      
      He also kind of has boundary issues with his friends, and he has a terrible habit of inserting himself into situations where he honestly doesn't belong.
      
      To round it all off, his temper is horribly short -- Damien is likely to jump down your throat at the slightest inconvenience, and he's not afraid to push things further by going for fists. Although, well, he typically pushes people's buttons until they punch him. He's quite skilled at getting under people's skin.

      Damien didn't have the most interesting or unique starts to life. He was born in Los Angeles, to a young mom who got pregnant shortly out of high school, dad who was in and out of their lives for the first few years before being arrested for... cooking crystal meth in the bathtub. Well, for the first time.
      
      As is to be expected from it just being Damien and his mom while he was growing up, the two of them are really close. Like where he used to say that she was his best friend when he was little -- something that his mother, Miranda, still loves to hold over his head and tease him about much to Damien's dismay.
      
      Well--
      
      It was mostly just Damien and his mom, except for the times when his older, stupider... stupid half-brother, Elliot, would stay with them. To say that Damien and his brother never got along would be an understatement.
      
      Damien loathes his older brother.
      
      Luckily, since their mother didn't have much, with Damien and her sharing a studio apartment when he was really young, well... Elliot wasn't over much -- at least not when they were young.
      
      Of course, paying for their living expenses was expensive -- and his mother kind of... well, she paid for it all how she had to. Setting cartoons on their old television while she entertained guys in the bedroom. Letting him play in the backroom of strip joints while she was out front. It was just kind of how he grew up, hopping from sleazy experience to sleazy experience, typically with his coloring book.
      
      Something he really ended up enjoying, though, were comics. First it was just the comics in the newspapers, but then his mother started dropping a few dollars here and there on them. His favorites were the superhero comics -- and yeah, little Damien's favorite game was playing like he was his favorite superheroes.
      
      However, as is to be expected of any origin story, things started to go downhill for Damien when he entered middle school.
      
      At his first school, it was a bully that wouldn't leave him alone, so his mom pulled him. Then at the next school, he was expelled for smoking in the bathroom (totally wasn't him, guys, he was framed). The next school was due to fighting, and... it was on and on.
      
      Things really only ramped up when, for whatever reason, his mom started dating Elliot's dad again.
      
      And then they moved in with them (gross, ew, it sucked, even if Damien got a room to himself for the first time). And then, they were getting fucking married? And then his mom was telling Damien to pack his stuff, because they were moving to North Dakota of all goddamn places.

      Upon first meet, you'd probably get the impression that this girl is simply someone you can walk all over. And to some degree, that's not wrong. Ash isn't one to want confrontation, so she'll let people get away with whatever they want as opposed to her actually standing up for herself. Generally. If pushed around enough, then Ash does tend to snap, but it takes a good deal of pressure for her to get to that snapping point. She's very much of the "choose your own battles" camp.
      
      Ash is also nice, almost to a point where it feels very... fake. And hey, maybe she is a little fake -- because yeah, she'll play nice, but then bitch about someone behind their back. Although, if she doesn't like you, you'll probably be able to tell.
      
      She's also very flirtatious, for better or for worse, when she's single. But she's never really single, and tends to jump from boyfriend to boyfriend.
      
      This all being said, she does have a bit of a rebellious streak. Sure, she presents herself often as this kind of naïve, good girl that would never think of going against her parents' wishes when, in all reality, Ash is kind of... well... she likes to party. Like, a lot. And it's not like she's going to parties to be the designated driver -- she's going to get fucked up. It's nothing that she's particularly ashamed of, but she's also not openly out there telling everyone about it. She's kind of a private individual, or so she tries to be.
      
      She does pretty much everything short of smoking weed, because she just hates being high and hates the act of smoking. Grosses her out, and she gags on it a lot, so she kind of gave up on that outlet. But hey, anything else that she thinks might get a rise out of her parents? Anything that might make her blood rush and make her feel alive? She's totally down.

      Young Ashton West was born the second child to Steve and Elise West -- she was at least more planned than her older brother, but she wasn't really conceived out of a want for another child. Rather, her parents were trying to throw a sort of Band-Aid over an otherwise failing marriage, and to some degree, hey, that apparently worked. Her parents are still together.
      
      Growing up, Ash never actually wanted anything. Why would she? They lived in a gorgeous flat in Manhattan, and their family was never struggling for cash. Turns out her mother's parents happened to own several lucrative businesses and, with more money than they knew what to do with, they were more than willing to help out their daughter and her little family to maintain the level of living she was used to.
      
      However, there were a lot of pressures from her mother growing up. Elise had always daydreamed of becoming famous -- part of that being a Broadway star, which is what had brought her to New York in the first place -- but the addition of two young kids and being stuck as a housewife had kind of put a damper on those dreams. As her own youth and chances started to wither away, she saw her children's opportunities begin to blossom before her.
      
      And god, how Elise exploited that.
      
      There was hardly a still moment for either child. Whereas most parents (including their dad) put more emphasis on studying things such as math or literature, their mother put it all on the arts. Seems fun, right? Your parent telling you to toss away your math homework to focus on playing the piano? Well it was -- at least for her brother, Jace, but for Ash? She'd never really taken to music as easily as her brother had, which meant that it was a lot harder for her. To this day, she's not really great at playing any instruments. Sure, she knows how to use a handful of the more basic instruments, but it all sounds... mediocre. Not perfect, and Elise is a perfectionist.
      
      But that was fine in her mother's eyes, because surely her daughter would excel at something else in the arts? Which was where acting classes when she was young and pageants came into play. God, Ash hated pageants. She never did win a single crown, often coming up second place or with some side title like Miss Congeniality. There was always something about the other girls that would put them over her, and Elise made sure that Ash noticed and saw all of her flaws -- in her words, it was so her young daughter could improve upon those shortcomings, but to a child? It just made her feel inadequate.
      
      Moving into middle school was about the same, except that Ash began taking up other sports to occupy her time, too. Turns out that something she was a natural at was track and cross country, and she legitimately enjoyed. Of course, she joined cheer and did well at that, too, but she really enjoyed track and cross country. Her mother hated it, though, and consistently was on her about quitting it so she could focus on more important things like "her career."
      
      Oh, yeah, that was also becoming a thing as she graduated from middle school into high school. Frequent trips to Los Angeles, as her mom tried to peddle her around as some kind of child star. Which like, luckily never took off.
      
      The battling between her and her mother continued, with each consecutive year causing Ash to pull away more and more.
      
      And then, in her sophomore year, Ash West kind of met her kryptonite. The thing that she would put over her music, and prioritize over the wishes of her mother, and even her own grades, and track, and fuck, everything else in life. Hell, she was even willing to get into fights with her mom over this thing, and was caught more than once trying to sneak out of their flat (a lot harder said than done).
      
      The thing? Boys.
      
      The boy in question? Stupid Axl.
      
      It's kind of hard to say what exactly attracted her to Axl at all. He wasn't popular, and he wasn't particularly nice. They had next to nothing in common -- rather, they tended to be on opposite ends of the spectrum for everything, which lead to more than their fair share of fights. But hey, there was still something about him that pulled Ash towards him, and made her not want to let go.
      
      Maybe it was the rise she got out of her mother, the general feeling of doing something she didn't approve of, or just finally having someone that did think she was beautiful and actually liked her. Believe it or not, that was kind of new to her, and she probably would've latched onto whoever the first guy was that showed general interest -- it just, unfortunately, happened to be a not so great person.
      
      (Plus, he was a year older than her, which was so cool to her. He was, like, so mature.)
      
      Regardless of speculations, they launched into a rather... toxic relationship. It was very on again/off again, and with every last uttered "fuck you, I never want to see you again," Ash knew she'd somehow end up coming back. And she did. She always did.
      
      To say her parents disapproved would be an understatement. They absolutely despised this relationship, albeit for different reasons. Elise hated it because Axl was taking time away from things she deemed more important, and because she was worried that Ash's little relationship with him would ruin everything they had worked so hard for. Steve hated him for more appropriate reasons: he was turning his daughter into someone he didn't recognize -- someone that snuck out, snuck around, and who was letting her grades falter.
      
      But it didn't really matter what her parents did, because there was no way to keep the two of them apart. Say she was banned from seeing him? Well, she'd still see him at school, and she didn't mind ditching to go hangout with him. Say she could see him but with a curfew? She'd go out and push that curfew, sometimes not even coming home until the next morning, leaving her parents worried sick.
      
      Despite Elise's numerous attempts to get him expelled, it never worked. So they were stuck, waiting for a chance to do something.
      
      But rather, their reason came from their older son. Jace was caught with weed, which they accredited to Ash's horrible influence of a boyfriend, so her parents decided that was that. With just about a month left of school, her parents pulled Ash out, and made plans for her to go to a private school in the middle of nowhere, North Dakota. You know, just like her mother had threatened to do for years.
      
      The discussion with Axl about her having to move went about as well one could expect -- as in, it didn't go well at all. Their ensuing official breakup kind of just... made it easier for Ash to leave New York City, to be honest. She didn't have much to leave after that, so getting on the plane and heading to the middle of nowhere... kind of worked out for her. In a weird way.
      
      So she was enrolled in some stupid academy, and she was set to live in some stupid dorms, with some not-so-stupid girl.
      
      So yep, here she is. Woo...

  Li Mei is quite noticeably different from most when you first start talking to her. She speaks with very little inflection or variation in pitch, making it sound very flat. She also quite often misses sarcasm entirely and doesn’t use it often herself. She never dances around her words, and tends to speak frankly and get to her point. When she is nervous or masking her autistic traits, she does tend to smile a lot, however naturally she does not think to adjust her facial expression to suit the social convention naturally. Sometimes her face might seem out of place with what she is saying.
  
  Li Mei also finds it difficult to maintain normal amount of eye-contact with others and occasionally catches herself starring for too long, especially when she is highly interested in what they are saying. She just never seems to get the balence of tone, posture, eye-contact or flow of conversation quite right. Often she hides these traits quite well, just seeming ‘a little awkward’ as opposed to outright abnormal, but it does take a lot out of her to do so.
  
  In order to socialize, Li tends to reach for the illicit substances or alcohol, especially in any sort of social occasion like a party. Once she relaxes a little, you might notice other things about her. Her strong moral compass, for instance. Someone could be 6 foot, dwarf her in strength, confidence or authority/power, and she would still run her big mouth if she felt someone was being treated unjustly. Li Mei is not good at holding her tongue, and wears her heart on her sleeve. She feels genuinely uncomfortable with the casual lies that most people tell on a daily basis. This is, in part, due to a tendency she is aware of in herself to take others at their word, and take their words very literally. She will often misread intentions and often subtle bullying will go over her head.
  
  Once you befriend Li Mei, she will become more relaxed around you. She will reveal how passionate she is about her interests and hobbies. She shows the people she likes affection by truly listening to them and getting very personalized gifts. She does enjoy putting things together for people if she thinks it will make them happy. On the flip side, Li Mei can be a harsh, unforgiving and sometimes unreasonable person. Aware of the fact that she often misreads intentions, once you have been caught in a lie or have wronged her in some way, it is not easy to regain her trust fully, although she might forgive you. She will overreact to things that might be small to most people. Her anger can quite volatile, and she is quite aware of that and has worked extensively to pause before she reacts and think. Byron, her brother, was a good model of who she did not want to be in an argument. She tries her best to handle situations with logic and tact. Sometimes this leads to overthinking and a lot of anxiety in Mei.
  
  When pushed too far, acting on her anger will make her do things that usually, she would be quite appalled at in others. She can be downright cruel in bad moments, saying things she cannot take back. When she becomes overwhelmed, and seemingly insignificant things can cause this, she can have self-injurious meltdowns. She has spent an extensive amount of time gaining control over this, both in therapy and with experience.
  
  Mei has a genuine interest in people, and in human behavior. She likes to get to know others fully before she judges them. She likes to believe that people are mostly good, and she believes most people can change if they want to. Weather this makes her a positive thinker or just naïve, for her own peace of mind, she has to believe it.

  Li Mei primarily wears oversized or loose-fitting clothing if she can help it. She doesn’t tolerate anything too tight or constricting. Her go to if it’s cold is a large hoodie and flared or wide-leg jeans or cargo pants. If it’s warm she likes big Tee’s, wide leg shorts, balloon pants and occasionally a long skirt or a loose dress. She is a fan of sneakers, Birkenstocks or, on occasion, doc Martin style boots. Rarely seen in anything but her oldest pair of white sneakers though.

  Mei likes making or building things, in particular arts and craft or tinkering with old techknowledgy. She is a fan of collecting Antiques. She is a good researcher, and has a keen interest in helping and training animals. Mei also has an affinity for cooking especially spicy food. Mei likes to keep practiced in her Mandarin Chinese speaking.

  Mei's current ambitions lie within herself. She wants to improve her people skills and take part in her youth, so to speak, instead of fading into the backround. Mei is also saving money diligently for her own independence when she graduates.

  At the age of 10, two fairly significant things happened in her life. She was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and her mother and younger sister were both killed in a random mass shooting that took place at their school. Her mother was a teacher and her sister was at school that day. Mei Li, was not at school, she had the day off as her dad had taken her to an appointment to finalise said diagnosis.
  
  After that her life went pretty sharply downhill. Her mother and sisters faces were constantly on the news with the other victims.
  
  Mei became hard to take care of, and her father’s mental health also declined steadily. She heavily skill regressed, became mostly non verbal, would frequently engage in harmful/ self injurious behaviour to manage her emotions. Not only was the financial strain wearing on her father for the support, the appointments the therapy, the OT ect, but the emotional pain was taking it’s toll as well. Mei’s father somehow convinced himself he had lost everyone in that shooting, despite the fact that She was still very much alive and in his care. He began drinking, he began using, then it slowly became obvious to the neighbors and her classmates that she was being neglected. Often she would not let her father convince her to bathe, she hated the water, the soaps, going from dry to wet to dry, and so eventually he just stopped trying. She was always wearing the same clothes, until it was a quite apparent to anyone in her vicinity that she was terribly unclean. She would also show up with various bruises and scrapes, all which were caused by her own meltdowns but that were not prevented by her father, who often left her alone for hours at a time.
  
  Eventually, social services arrived, and Li Mei was in the system. To this day, she does not know what became of her father. She was to be adopted at first by her grandmother, at this stage she had been in the foster home for about 6 months. Her grandmother was an American lady living in North Dakota who had only found out about her recently. It wasn’t to last though. Mei was too much for her, although she would never had admitted it. Unfortunately her grandmother suffered a stroke, and Mei was once again without a Guardian.
  
  Just before her 11th birthday she was adopted by a well off young couple. They already had two boys a similar age to her. Mei believes they adopted her as more of a symbol to show their neighbours how charitable they were. Mei was given the best occupational and speech therapy that money could buy. She was given every support she needed, apart from actual maternal love.
  
  They endlessly bought her expensive clothing and lavish gifts, but never listened to her speak about what she loved, or let her indulge in any of her interests, never accommodated her sensitivity’s, continuing to force her to wear jeans that were too tight, close fitting dresses and scratchy blouses. In front of her friends they would talk about her as if she was a much younger child than she was. They liked to tell people about all the progress she was making in therapy, and how sad the situation they 'Rescued" her from was. Whenever she aced a test or mastered a new skill they were happy to spread the good news around to everyone. This behaviour was afforded to each of their children, of course, and they would frequently pit them against one another, directly comparing the three of them academically. In her younger brother Byron’s eyes, it seemed, she had stollen the spotlight from him. He was cold and bitter towards her from the moment she moved in. Behind closed doors the family unit was falling apart. Her adoptive mother had caught the father cheating on her, years back and ever since their marriage has been a charade, Instead of banding the three kids together, they would use them in arguments, force them to take sides or get involved, her elder brother copping the worst of that, as he was his mothers favourite. To cope with the stress, Mei had taken up running at school. She wasn’t planning on being competitive, however the training got her out of the house, and so she did put her all into it. There was little better than the rush of pushing her legs as fast as they could go.
  
  Finally, upon turning 15-16, the novelty of her seemed to have worn off, and she was afforded more freedoms. She could work, she could buy her own clothes, she was generally allowed to go where she pleased, as long as she did not tarnish her family’s reputation. Her silence for her freedom is a deal she made that constantly is at war with her own personal morals and values. Li Mei is currently trying her best to figure out her own path in life, and distance herself from her suffocating family situation. Recently she has started to come out of her shell…

  Phoenix at first glance appears cold and intimidating, moving through life with dark cloud hanging over his head. When he speaks, it is generally very frank and to the point, often harsh or blunt- sometimes cruel- when he feels it necessary to get the point across. Rarely does Nix raise his voice- often retreating into himself when upset or angry- wielding his silence like a shield.
  
  While he doesn’t express much warmth verbally, Nix speaks volumes through his actions. An apology or act of affection might take the form a hot cup of coffee left on the counter, or a chore done wordlessly. He is generous, often to his own detriment, sacrificing his needs for the sake of his loved ones. However, this selflessness comes at a cost: he rarely complains or asks for anything, leaving him in serious distress before anyone even notices.
  
  Nix, though reserved, has his ways of showing his affection. He takes a quiet interest in those he cares for: helping with their schoolwork or lending an ear to their problems, or simply being present when needed. He listens more than he speaks, ensuring others feel heard. When he gives advice, he does not sugarcoat his words. His bluntness is often constructive—intended to build people up, not tear them down.
  
  Nix prides himself on his pragmatic approach to problems. He is good at keeping his head and finding a practical solution. He does not- however- deal very well when a situation feels out of control or hopeless.
  
  When it comes to personal failures, Nix takes them very hard. He oten punishes himself in unhealthy ways or relying on pills or alcohol to cope. He is very hard on himself, but finds it extremely hard to let his guard down and express vulnerability. When he is drinking or using he hides himself away from his siblings the best he could.
  
  Emotions like fury and rage are contained as best he can manage as he see’s them as largely unhelpful and a sign of weakness. But when Pushed past his breaking point he is not above violence, often lashing out aggressively and suddenly, hoping to end the conflict swiftly. Before that tipping point, he maintains an icy stare and delivers sharp, measured warnings to back off—or else.

  Nix enjoys quiet hobbies for the most part. He is always reading something weather it be a fantasy novel or an educational textbook. He is also a fan of building and taking things apart. He loves Lego, and making model cars/boats/planes. He also enjoys Historical movies. Nix loves things like woodworking and metalwork but rarely has any oppitunity to do that. One of his favorite pastimes is baking and cooking. He loves games with strategy such as Chess. In general, Nix just loves finding out how things work.

  The price family was not a wealthy one, nor were they poor. They had simple and happy life in the suburbs of North Dakota’s Haven Falls. Mum and dad were hard workers, and provided well for there children, although they sometimes had to pull some serious hours at work to do so. Four children, all a couple years apart, spent their childhood in relative happiness. Phoenix “Nix” Price was the eldest and expected to set the example. Luckily for him, he had both a love and a knack for practical learning. His interests laid especially in pulling things apart and building things. He had a MASSIVE Lego and Lego Technic collection by the time he was 10 years old. He liked building models and had an incredible amount of focus and passion for such a young child.
  
  Socially, Nix was a bit of an outcast. While he did have a few close friends growing up, he was not exactly popular. An awkward, lanky preteen, he spent a lot of his days and nights inside and not really with friends. It got to a point where his parents used to force him to play outside because he never put himself out there by himself. He was a nice kid, always got along with his siblings because he just didn’t really speak his mind or share his opinion.
  
  It wasn’t till high school that Nix stared to come out of his shell. He gained a few more extroverted friends, even started dating a girl. He still, however, maintained his love for building and making, and got very into his metalworking classes at school. He found it very difficult to maintain his focus in the classes he didn’t enjoy, however he was very good at coming in clutch and skating by with an above average grade.
  
  In his last year of school, Nix really poured his heart and soul into his studies. He and his girlfriend at the time were going strong, both had plans to go to the same university after graduation- Nix for engineering and his girlfriend Frannie for dance school. But that all changed when he got his scholarship and she failed her trial to get in.
  
  Frannie wanted him to stay for her, and of course- that broke his heart. After a fight of epic proportions, the two of them promptly broke up and went their separate ways.
  
  Unfortunately his time working towards his dreams was short lived. Barely making one semester, Phoenix was given news that would change the corse of his life.
  
  Both his parents had been killed in a hit and run
  
  Nix dropped out of his degree and then he was on his way back home to Haven falls, suddenly with the responsibility of his three minor siblings to take care of.
  
  Nix took the responsibility head on, jumping straight into action. It was the only way he could keep his head about the rising water of his grief and depression. He very quickly learnt how to budget, how to cook with cheaper ingredients, how to pay Bills and maintain a clean home. And then there was Dallas. Still 17 at the time but more than old enough to do more than he did to help this family survive. Nix ended up at odds with him more often than not as he coped with the death of his parents in his own way. Nix copped a lot of harsh words from Dallas, and dished plenty of his own back. Nix often wonders if he was too harsh with his brother back then because now their relationship is very tense, sometimes even resulting in physical altercations.
  
  His only solace was Frannie, who took him back with open arms. She was his one reliable escape from obligation and responsibility that weighed him down so heavily. Their relationship was far from perfect, but Nix saw her with rose coloured glasses. When any of his siblings would question her, he’d jump to her defence.
  
  Nix struggled for a whole year to keep up with all the bills- his mortgage, internet, gas, water and electricity all drowned him. Ultimately he couldn’t keep his head above water and the Price family lost their family home. This failure sent Nix spinning into a deep depression. He started smoking cigarettes, he drink as much alcohol as he could get away with without his sisters (or his job) catching on.
  
  They lived out of Nix’s silver Chevrolet Suburban for 3-4 months. Mattress stuffed into the boot, a portable stove to cook with, a gym membership they used just to access a shower. Nix felt like the worlds biggest failure, but all he could do was try to keep his siblings alive.
  
  His girlfriend didn’t know, at least for the first month or so. Nix was very good at excuses not to have her over. When she found out she begged him to let her help them. Eventually, after one too many sleepless nights and sacrificed meal times so his sisters could eat, he agreed.
  
  The four of them moved into the local motel, a dangerous and shady place but at a fairly cheap rate. It’s small, cramped and Dallas and Nix are getting on worse than ever, but it’s better than his car. Knowing that she could revoke this charity at any time added a significant layer of stress to their relationship. Often, Frannie would make him feel trapped. Totally dependent.
  His addictions are slowly taking over him though and if he doesn’t gain control over them they might be his and his family’s undoing.

  Kathrine is what you could call a control freak. The kind of person that people dread working with. She likes things done her way, the right way. While, of course, she has matured a lot in terms of this trait, and she is aware of how much it rubs people the wrong way, she still finds herself falling into bad habits, especially when she feels really in the zone with something, and is challenged. This also manifests in her over-preparedness for everything. Kat is they type of person to have exactly what anyone might need on her 'just in case'. She hate's feeling put on the spot or caught out. She can be a little challenging to be friends with sometimes- She can be argumentative, she finds it hard to let things that have bothered her go, and she can be a little bit to forthcoming with un-requited advice or opinions, especially if she knows the person well. Kathrine has, frankly, quite profound anxiety. She finds it very hard to relax and do nothing productive, and feels quite intense panic when she perceives that she is falling behind.
  
  However, she balances this out with her level-head and tact. She is very observant, she notices small changes in expression, she had brilliant pattern recognition. This hyper-vigilance is both an advantage and a disadvantage. On the plus side, Kat notices when something is bothering her friends, and can react accordingly. She notices when she has gone to far, or is not getting her point across. She notices, oftentimes, if someone is lying to her. On the downside, the smallest detail can drive her nuts. She overthinks the things people say, especially over text when she cannot read their face. She is worried about how she is being perceived by others, especially her loved ones. She finds it intolerable if someone is clearly not ok, but will not tell her why. Kathrine also has a tendency to over explain herself when she feels she might be misconstrued.
  
  In her everyday life, Kathrine compensates of her anxiety with her glowing smile and positivity. She likes to make others laugh, finding it often lessons tension. She has a dry sense of humor, that can sometimes seem a little bit mean spirited, but usually is not intended to be. She smiles and laughs a lot and adopts a sassy, fun and 'carefree' persona when she can. Very rarely does she actually truly relax. In the rare times that she does, Kat will show you a side of her that is affectionate, passionate and loyal to the core. She loves her people, and wants to protect them. Having dealt with bullies in the past she never wants to make someone feel inadequate or down on themselves, even though sometimes she unwittingly does.
  
  Her worries seem to be unfounded to most. She is naturally gifted at a number of things, doesn't have to work very hard to be above average in all academic pursuits she has tried thus far. There is no doubt that the future is bright for her, she will get into the collage of her choice, her grades are good, she has always been involved in leadership positions at school and had several extra-curriculars. But instead, she wants to feel carefree, like her sister. She wants to be relaxed and funny and liked. She feels she is always falling short when it comes to her social life due to her anxiety holding her back. It feels- for Kat- almost like she has lost the ability to shut her brain off and just be. To indulge in hobbies that are fun... and not productive.

  Kat likes colour, she is quite bold and creative with some of her outfits. She doesn’t have one distinct style and likes to experiment. When she is making outfits it feels like a safe way to release her stress and be creative.

  Kathrine has always had a love for singing. She enjoys soft singer songwriter and Indie music. She is forever scribbling lyrics or poems when she is not doing anything else. Kat also enjoys Hiking and nature as well as listening to stand up comedians and Comedy movies.

  Kat's ambitions are to graduate with top grades and yet somehow find a way to indulge in her singing. She is looking for a way to delay collage after graduating...

  There was no doubt from the moment Kathrine began developing, that she was going to be a gifted child. She hit all her milestones early as a toddler, constantly impressing her parents before she even knew it.
  
  As a little girl, her parents had her striving for greatness. While other children, namely her younger sister, were busy goofing off and having fun, Kat was reading books and perfecting her French. Despite her knack for learning, all the little girl wanted to do was singing, dancing and writing music. This interest continued to develop, however as she began progressing through school into her tween years, she indulged in her hobby less and less.
  
  Kat’s parents had never outright told her not to sing, however they made constant comments about it not being a sensible thing to strive towards, that it’s a ‘one in a million’ chance she’d actually make it. They brushed her off whenever she dared bring up the possibility of taking extra singing lessons, or learning an instrument and suggested it would be more beneficial to her to go for the student council, or take some extra academic classes. Maybe try the debate team they would say and then praise her leadership skills and spoken language skills.
  
  So that’s what she did. She started seeing art as more of a guilty pleasure. Kat knuckled down and easily became the dux of her school at the time. She had no real distractions. Other kids didn’t really like her, and often either avoided her or made fun of her. She was seen as a know-it-all and a teachers-pet, and was constantly taunted for it by peers. She had also felt rather plain, gangly and shapeless for most of her teenage life, and never really got Mitch attention from the opposite sex.
  
  Finally she has just now developed into a young woman, and is beginning to receive attention from males she hadn’t worried about before. Her unmedicated and frankly profound anxiety is reaching the peak. She loves her sister Ines, but could not be more jealous of her. She was so carefree. She made friends effortlessly. She was ok being average, she wasn’t worried about the future. Kat worried about Ines more than SHE did, something which really grated on her.
  
  As Senior year began, she knew something would need to change this year. Could she somehow achieve all that she wanted whilst protecting her own, fragile, mental health? Could she learn to have fun and relax?

  Byron is well known throughout the school to be that kid who try's way to hard, and makes it painfully obvious. The only two things securing his place amongst the popular kids is: His money, his edgy reputation and his pure wit. He is charming In a way that both makes you want to hit him and hug him simultaneously. Its difficult to stay annoyed when you are trying not to laugh, Afterall. He relies on his social skills and charisma to talk his way out of trouble, since he is always impulsively talking his way INTO it. Byron is your typical act now, regret later kind of guy. He has no concept of personal saftey, no clue about the value of money and no care to learn either of those things. Byron likes to think he is tough, and he is: He also likes to think he is intelligent, and he is . However most of his life he has felt out-shadowed in both categories and more by his brother. He is a clever boy with a good head on him despite his cushioned upbringing, yet he is so riddled with his own lack of self worth that he can't see it. Byron overcompensates with his fearless and reckless lack of abandon. He is the friend you call to have a good time. There isn't much he will not do, and no dare he will not go through with. He keeps his head above water at school and managed to stay ahead of most of his peers academically however anything that isn't 100 percent may as well be a fail to him. The worst thing you can do to Byron is not to poke fun, but to ignore. Byron is so desperate for attention that he would rather have someone despise him than be indifferent to him.
  
  Byron has issues with the current learning environment he is in. It seems, no matter how much he cares or how much effort he puts in, he is always missing details, putting things off, failing to meet deadlines, getting distracted in class or not being prepared for anything. It's a good thing money is no issue, because he loses something important nearly every week. Despite all of this, Byron manages to half fluke his way to success where he should be failing. He is so incredibly frustrated at second best, he is very close to hitting fuck it. He is incredibly spiteful towards those he ACTUALLY cares for. He channels his frustration into putting others down and flies off the handle at the slightest provocation. When Byron is angry enough, and it doesn't take much these days, his logic, charm and wit go out the window. He will throw fists at someone twice is size in an instant, or put a hole through the wall. He also has an incredibly low tolerance for any kind of perceived humiliation or belittling of him. In this way, he could be quite easy to manipulate.
  
  Byron does have an extreme sense of loyalty to those he calls friend. He values his friends above himself, and has no problem risking it all for them. He feels things deeply, and despite his attpent to hide it, he has a face that reveals all in the face of his dysregulated emotions. He has a sense of morality, although he tends to be quite cynical about the morality in others. Byron is a complicated individual, and although his outbursts make him seem like he is a violent and no good individual, you will never meet someone less judgmental. He accepts the flaws in others- despite his indicial emotional reactions, he is very forgiving.

  Byron was born in Haven falls, and has lived here all him life thus far. His parents owned half the town by the time he was learning to talk. His little family unit came from multiple generations of wealth and power in this town, so from the get go Byron had more money than he could ever hope to spend. Haven falls was currently shared by the few old family’s that have lived here for generations. In order to keep your standing, your reputation was key. It was a vicious world of giants that not many were privileged enough to see.
  
  Byron was the second child, coming along a year after his brother was born. Byron always felt closer to his sibling than to his parents. They were pretty close for most of their young lives. Together they would hide in there room while their parents yelled at one another and play card games like Pokémon, or magic to try to distract themselves. Byron’s parents had been fighting since he was small enough to understand it. In fact, Byron was pretty sure he was never even meant to happen. Byron, even back then, could sense how much harder he seemingly had to work to keep up with his brother. His mother already seemed to favour his brother. Byron was somewhat spared but his brother always had to pick sides when their parents fought. He was always in the Center of it all, having to deal with the pain and emotions of the adults in his life.
  
  The fighting eventually died down to a resentful acceptance. When the two boys hit school and tangible measures of success and failure began to be produced by the boys, Byron felt like he was constantly drowning. School was a nightmare for him early days. He was always in trouble, he always felt stupid, he was constantly getting into fights with other kids. He was not only getting in his own way but he was embarrassing his parents. Subsequently his mum and dad cracked down on him hard. Not only did their farther have no qualms with physically punishing his Sons, but they also began to emotionally abuse him. They would constantly remind him of his failures, using his own brother as an example of who he should be.
  
  Then, one day they did something worse. They got themselves a new project. When Byron was 10 years old they adopted a 10 year old girl called Li Mei. Suddenly Byron didn’t just feel like a disappointment, he felt like nothing. Thrown away, just a failed endeavour. Byron responded in the only way he had been taught. He treated this new ‘sister’ and his older brother with malice, trying where ever he could to knock them down a peg.
  
  Unfortunately, even he could not physically hurt little Autistic li Mei, and physical altercations with his brother usually ended up with his face firmly planted in the dirt, so he had to play to his strengths. He began to lean into what he had: his wealth and the status that came with it. He worked on his active listening and social skills and became quite good at talking. Suddenly he was an adolescent boy who had not only won over most of his peers and lost his virginity in the one year, but had found something he was better at than his brother manipulation and people skills. Sure, his brother enjoyed the natural popularity that came with his Jock status. But Byron had begun winning over his friends slowly but surely. Could he somehow take that glowing reputation and drag it through the mud?

  Jacinta on the surface acts arrogant and aloof and like nothing could phase her. Insults roll off her like water off a ducks back, and she fires them back with her sharp tongue and her fast wit. She believes she knows her own strengths, and prides herself on her resilience and calm in the face of pressure. She likes to do things on her own and maintains fierce independence. She trusts her instincts and has worked very hard to build up her own self-worth after it was repeatedly crushed back in middle school.
  
  Her independent nature sometimes borders on obsession. She likes to have control over a situation and hates feeling in the dark. She doesn’t like it when people try to change her ways or enact their ideas onto her own. She has a lot of ritualistic behaviors that she sometimes isn’t even aware she has.   Jacinta was born in Haven Falls, to a young 16 year old student Helen Choi. Still living with her parents at the time, they told her if she did not abort or adopt out young Jacinta, she would be disowned. Luckily, her father, 18 at the time, had graduated that year and could work full time, so the young couple tore out into the night and bought themselves a cheap trailer to raise their family in. Brandon Choi, forklift driver by day, drunk by night, was not exactly the positive role model Jacinta needed in her life. Love drunk, the couple were soon married and became a very tight family unit. They both worked hard to pay the rent and to raise their daughter. Jacinta had to learn quite young to look out for her own needs, as her parents were both young, 'functional' alcoholics, and extremely immature themselves. They struggled their way though due to their genuine love for one another. Jacinta was not always fed properly, quite often dressed poorly, rarely had the money for school supplies or class excursions but she loved her mother and father fiercely, even if they rarely were sober enough to celebrate milestones or go to her piano recitals…
  
  In primary school, Jacinta was bullied both for her physical appearance and for her lower income status. She never fought back, choosing instead to focus on her studies and keep her head down. Every day she would skate down to the internet cafe to play games and escape. She spent most evenings out, her parents usually not questioning where she was. She had a lot of freedom as a child. It was quite isolating for the young girl.
  
  Jacinta was t friendless, however, most of them had their own problems to deal with. Jacinta always took great pride in being there for others. Namely her best friend Drake, whom she had briefly dated in her first year of high school at Haven Falls.
  
  At home, things had progressively gotten worse. There was a change in her father. He had been let go from work due to failing a drug and alcohol test. This news came at the same time the news of Helen’s second pregnancy arrived. Meanwhile Jacinta was at a point where her romantic relationship was crashing and she was unable to keep up with the demands of her friendships.
  
  They struggled on for a couple hard months then her father left them for another woman and shattered Helen and Jacinta, who’s view of love had been shattered at this point. Thanks to Helen’s substance abuse, Jacinta’s brother to be did not survive his first hour after birth. Finally, the devastating guilt drove her mother to seek help. She dragged Jacinta out of the trailer park all the way to her grandparents neat little gated community on the other side of town. They gladly took Jacinta in, but threatened to fight for her custody and cast Helen out again should she not go to rehabilitation.
  
  Since her snooty grandmother was on the school board, Jacinta was promptly un-enrolled from haven falls high and instead was given a place at the prodigious Silver Lakes. Not only had she lost her hope in relationships but she had lost interest in people in general. She felt the only person in the whole world she could trust was herself. She had dragged herself through everything life had thrown at her so far. She could finish school, get the hell out of here, and live her dreams.
  
  Now sweet sixteen, working hard to maintain her perfect grades, she has somewhat adjusted to her new life with her grandparents. It has not been without hitch. With her ex best friend and boyfriend randomly reaching out and her sudden reunion with her ex childhood friend Lacey, Jacinta struggles to keep her head. The Time away from her mother helped her reflect on her parenting, and she has realised how mistreated she had actually been. Her mother’s rage when she was using gave way to both emotional abuse- sometimes tiptoeing into physical-and blatant neglect . She finds it hard to trust others have her best interests at heart and is neglecting most of her old friendships from her previous school. Starting her first full year at Silver Lakes, Jacinta is just trying to maintain her sanity long enough to achieve her dreams.

The bright and creative youngest child of her family, Ines is well known around town for her offbeat outlook and idiosyncratic sense of humor. Drawn to the spotlight she would enjoy entertaining friends and neighbors with her eccentric personality or little jokes she would tell. A natural born comedian, perhaps due to her desire to stay unique amongst the hustle and blur of her other two siblings. Her parents tended to guide her with a gentler hand than perhaps she deserved, which may have been kind treatment to a young child but unfortunately had the consequence of Ines developing a bit of a sense of entitlement when it comes to being told what to do or how to act, something that her teachers in school really enjoyed of course. In addition to being a bit stubborn and spoiled, she also has a sensitive heart and is prone to emotional outbursts of anger or anguish, or whatever feeling currently sat at the helm of her head.

When you let heart guide you wherever you want, odds are you're gonna run into some trouble. Which Ines certainly has from time to time, though she tends to keep a level head in the face of danger. On the outside at least, she may be scared shitless on the inside but she'll pretend like she's fine. Until she doesn't anyways. There's only so much a teenager can take, even if it is often induced by her own hubris and occasional hedonistic impulses. Still, by either her own resolution or perhaps getting bailed out by chance by her wealthy parents Ines is pretty confident she can get herself out of anything with her silver tongue and can-do attitude.

Sometime in the early '00s, Désirée Laurent and Sean Burke met in a hotel bar in Montreal. Both of them were out-of-towners and celebrating their respective victories in their careers. Désirée was a marketing associate who had just landed a huge campaign from Québec and Sean was a salesman from a small town in North Dakota called Haven Falls. They shared a few glasses of wine and Sean had managed to use his high school French classes to understand that Désirée was asking him back to her room. One thing lead to another and within a few months he'd convinced her to move with him to the states. Though less excited about trading her city life for a small town but love had its way with her and after some trial and error she found her work-life balance between parenting her children and her career.

Despite being born to two very professional individuals, Ines somehow managed to inherit zero of their neat and proper qualities. Though she spent a bit more time in the time out chair than the average kid, she had a fairly normal upbringing surrounded by the love and attention of her parents, especially when compared to how they treated her older siblings. Even if she didn't always deserve it.

When it came time for school she wasn't particularly astonishing in either high achievement or low achievement and maintained fairly average grades, though they were slightly higher in any subject that allowed her to write creatively, which was few and far between. While her future was often a vague idea that she rarely thought about, she knew that she wanted to do something that allowed her to be the free spirit that she desired. Much like her grades, when it came to friends she was popular, but not exceptionally so, but she wasn't a loner either. People were often drawn to her for her sense of humor and her tendency to always be down for whatever adventure a person might pitch to her.

Think of a classic southern belle, forgiving, a great cook, polite, basically an angel, right? Yeah, that's not Claudia Jean, that's her mom. The only thing that The rest? Not so much... Not all at once anyways, that's more so her mother. It's not that Claudia Jean is a mean girl by any means, she just has her moments. She's not completely at the mercy of her adolescent world. Her parents and their efforts to instill some southern hospitality into their daughter weren't all in vain. She'll lend you a hairtie or a pad, let you copy her homework, cry on her shoulder. She's caring and smart and is sure as hell willing to tell you all about it. Whether it's in the positive or the negative Claudia Jean is not one to sit still and look pretty, she knows she has a voice and she will certainly use it.

That voice? It's sorta her fatal flaw honestly. As the child of a hairdresser she knows all about the art of a good gossip session and will be happy to engage in one with or without willing participants. It's not that she wants to hurt peoples feelings, she just can't help herself. She wants to spread joy and where she comes from sharing a little hot tidbit is just as good as sharing some baked goods or a comforting embrace. Merriweather Greene is a daughter of the South through and through, if she tripped and fell she just might bleed ranch dressing. The same of course goes for Brady Taylor, a car dealer's son who wooed her with midnight rides in his Ford truck and picnics in the town square. Once Merriweather finished cosmetology school they married in a ceremony that would've made Martha Stewart shed a few tears. He worked for his father and she worked her tail off opening her own salon, Southern Charm. Both of which became institutions of their small southern town. It wasn't too long before Merri was having to make adjustments to her hair cutting technique to make sure she wasn't running into her clients with her growing bump.

Claudia Jean was just as southern as her parents, and even as a toddler her little pink fingers were on the town's pulse. With her mother's determined work ethic and the fact that she owned her own business, she wasn't at all concerned with finding childcare. Instead she brought her daughter along, initially wearing her in a sling or parking her in a playpen before she was old enough to play on the floor beside her or work on her homework sitting against the wall between the chairs.

As she grew up there in the heart of the town she learned she had inherited her mother's tendency to have strangers treat her like friends. She was a listening ear for her own peers like her mother was for hers, though what Merriweather had that Claudia Jean lacked, was the ability to filter her own thoughts. It was hard for her not to share whatever she had learned, either second hand from her mother and her salon clients or from her own friends with others around town. It earned her both enemies and friends alike, though before any long term consequences could exactly ensnare her everything changed.

Some bad business choices on Brady's father left him out of a job and the rest of the family scrambling. One thing led to another and in their efforts to try and salvage the business led to the Taylors losing their home. There were offers of help from neighbors, but Brady and his pride never let him accept them. Instead a tip from a cousin's cousin's friend informed him about Haven Falls, a small but supposedly up and coming town that was in need of someone with the business savvy that he possessed. Merriweather, through of course frustrated by her husband and his family's actions, saw a chance to make lemonade from lemons and attempt to franchise. After all, she was the primary breadwinner now. A second location of Southern Charm was bound to be a hit in another small town.

So the three of them packed up and headed for North Dakota.

    Oliver was born into an interesting family, to say the least. His family easily provided everything they could with ease. They were wealthy due to the fact his father was a successful plastic surgeon and his mother was a lawyer with some celebrity clients on her caseload. However, this came with a lot of expectations. He always had to have the best grades, succeed in extracurriculars, and more to be worthy of the family name. This came with a lot of pressure, especially as this started when he was a mere five years old. For the most part, he did his best, but there were some challenges along the way. These challenges include not having very accepting parents, getting diagnosed with dyslexia, getting a little too far into party life, constantly knowing he's the family's disappointment, and more.
    
    After a very intense fight with his father, he ran away. Oliver had enough and spent a couple of days bouncing around different friend's houses, but eventually, his parents found him and brought him home. To have a fresh start, his parents decided it was better for him to be sent away. Now, he is living with his grandmother in Haven Falls. She always had a soft spot for him and jumped at the opportunity to take him in. He's a little intimidated being a transfer student and unsure how he'll fit in with the others. At the end of the day, he's just happy to be enrolled in art courses and to have joined the track team. Art and running are two of his biggest outlets so it will be nice to focus on them.     In the middle of a snowstorm on a December night Sarah was born. Her parents were quite young parents. They both were just graduated out of high school and trying to live on their own after struggling within their own families. After a few months, they knew that they were unable to take care of Sarah, who had since then gotten the nickname Sadie. Even with some deliberation, they left Sadie in a church to stay out of the cold with a card explaining that they hoped she could be brought into a loving home like she deserved. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Her first few years after being taken in were pleasant, although she doesn’t remember much. As she started getting older the more she began to act out. Now, Sadie wasn’t a bad kid. She just didn’t know what to do with the energy and emotions she had, but tended to thrive within receiving negative attention. The person who took her in spent a lot of time at their office job. After being suspended, the person out her up for adoption.
    
    From there on out, Sadie bounced between several homes within the foster system. Being introduced to new families only to soon be shooed away. She didn’t make it easy for them at times. Fighting with kids at school, sneaking out, and more. Currently, she resides in Haven Falls and has since Grade 7. Her foster mother, Noemi, has not had any problems with Sadie and doesn't understand how others did. However, Noemi is more often than not travelling around. They get along well enough, but Noemi isn't there to receive any phone calls home. It helped Sadie knew how to take care of herself very on, but appreciates Noemi checking in.   Tavon is, as the IQ scorecard states, profoundly gifted with an IQ of 178. He’s a genius, but he doesn’t brag about it. Doesn’t explain his personality even in the slightest. In fact he would rather people didn’t know about his ‘gift.’ Tavon grew up in Detroit, Michigan and in an inner city school in a rough area it was uncool to be smart. His father, a military man, tried instilling the military mindset into Tavon. However Tavon is more of the lackadaisical flirtatious type. He likes watching clouds, stargazing, smoking the devils lettuce, listening to music, cruising on his skateboard, watching sports, playing poker and playing video games.
  
  Almost everything that occurs, Tavon finds it to be a relative drag. Spending time with his crush is about one of the only things he doesn’t find to be a complete annoyance. He isn’t introverted, and can carry a conversation with anyone, easily. He just finds it boring, or annoying. He has a tendency to make his friends feel like they aren’t his friends, because he’ll sometimes make it known that doing x, or y is annoying. But he really has his friends' backs. Just doing things that aren’t simple are trivial to him.
  
  Tavon's father Jordan continually pushes him into joining the military. But Tavon hates being pushed into a situation. He wants to be a free spirit, he's an exceptional poker player and when he becomes of age he wants to really make a run at earning some money playing poker. His level of intelligence, he really can read people and where they're at within their mindset, in terms of poker at least.
  
  He has an immense sense of humor. Almost a bluntly mean sense of humor at times. He won’t lie about anything. It’s pointless to lie about a situation. Accomplishes nothing, even little white lies.
  
  He’s a loner at times as well. He’d rather deal with his internal situations himself. Shutting a door, listening to music. Or finding a mountain, laying in the grass and watching the clouds. Just allowing time to flow through without a single thought gracing his consciousness. Think about it, a kid like him moving to Haven Falls, North Dakota. He was the obvious minority now. At least the clouds were easier to see. But there was also this one girl, once he started High School. Her smile, her presence. It was the first time that he felt different. He didn’t feel like he was just the smartest person within the room. He felt stupid, he felt like she was perfect. They created a deep friendship. Think about it, this area isn’t an area that you just don’t stick out for an individual like him. He just smokes the devils lettuce, stargazes, coasts on his skateboard and listens to music. The only thing he looks forward to is those days he talks with his friends, or her.   Kaida was born in Bristol, Connecticut, where her parents were working as sports commentators for a big sports TV station. Her father had already ran track and field in his youth, and once he saw that Kaida had a talent for it as well, he decided to be her coach. Kaida's father never made it to the olympics back in his day, which is why he's now determined to get his daughter to be good enough so she could be the one to go and compete for America. Her mother used to be a gymnast, and tries to support her daughter as well as she can.
  
  The Atkins family moved to Haven Falls when Kaida was 10 years old, because they found out that there was a good program for athletes at their high school, which would allow Kaida to take her career to the next level. Therefore, Kaida was pushed even more than she already had been in Bristol, and also competed in even more races, while having to try and balance school work and a little bit of a social life.   Liana’s childhood was one that many would consider idyllic. Born and raised in Haven Falls, she quickly became known as the golden girl, the perfect daughter who never caused trouble and always seemed to shine brighter than anyone around her. Her parents, both hardworking and involved in the local community, had high expectations for Liana from a young age. Unlike her brother Leo, who could easily shrug off their demands, she internalized them. She was determined to make them proud and for the most part, she succeeded.
  
  As a child, Liana was the star of every school play, the star at her volleyball and tennis games, earned glowing report cards, and won countless awards for her achievements in academics and extracurriculars. She took up piano because her mother thought it would “look good” and excelled at it because she never allowed herself to be less than perfect. If she wasn’t practicing piano, she was helping around the house, keeping her room spotless and doing all her chores. Her parents praised her for being so mature, which made her feel proud, but even then, there were moments when Liana wished she could be carefree like other kids. She would see them laughing without a care in the world while she was stuck following expectations she thought she had to follow, wondering what it would be like to be just a normal kid.

  Around this time, Liana started to feel the weight of it all. Her desire to be perfect started to take its toll. She began feeling anxious, worrying constantly about her grades, how her teachers saw her, and what her parents thought. Even with the growing ache in her chest, she didn’t let anyone see it. She bottled up her feelings, refusing to let cracks show in her flawless facade. The thought of disappointing her parents was too unbearable.
  
  As everyone began to change during those awkward years, Liana started noticing a divide. While other kids were exploring who they were, trying out different styles, interests, and personalities, Liana stayed firmly in her good-girl role. She never experimented with fashion, didn't dare act out in class, and certainly wasn’t one to sneak out like her friends began to do. Though, deep down, she longed to.   High school has shown her what life outside her bubble could be like. She watches as her classmates go to parties, flirt recklessly, and live on the edge, and she’s jealous of the freedom they have. She’s still too cautious to fully act on her rebellious urges. Her relationship with her brother, Leo, had become more complicated. They’ve always been close, now there’s distance between them. Leo is more carefree, less concerned with what their parents think, and Liana envies that about him. She’s spent so much time being the responsible one, the perfect child, that she doesn’t know how to be anything else, and it frustrates her to see Leo live without that burden.
  
  Liana isn’t quite ready to let go of the image she’s built. She’s still terrified of disappointing her parents, of losing their approval, and of damaging the reputation she’s worked so hard to maintain. As high school goes on and the pressure continues to grow, she knows something has to give.   Leo Carranza was a bright, energetic child with an adventurous spirit. Early on, he loved playing outside, exploring the world around him, and getting his hands dirty. He didn’t understand why the words on the page seemed jumbled or why he couldn’t keep up, and the frustration of falling behind weighed heavily on him. His parents, even though they were loving, they were also busy, and his issues went unnoticed at first. When Liana was born, she seemed to fit perfectly into the role of the family’s star, excelling in everything from the start. Leo adored his baby sister and was protective of her, but he also felt overshadowed by her early achievements. The constant praise she received made him feel like he wasn’t good enough, even though he tried his best. As a young child, Leo would lash out in small ways, knocking over his toys, getting into trouble at school, or refusing to do his homework. Although his parents were relieved to have a diagnosis, their focus was still largely on Liana’s accomplishments. He often heard things like, “Why can’t you be more like your sister?” or “Liana manages to do it, why can’t you?” which only deepened his anger.
  
  He was feeling misunderstood and began distancing himself from his family and gravitated toward people who felt taught him it's okay to be angry, and who felt more like family for understanding. He found comfort in skateboarding, stealing, and hanging around with people who didn’t care about following the law or rules. His anger began to manifest more openly, he’d get into fights at school, slam doors at home, and became known for his temper. His parents tried to intervene, but the constant comparisons and the pressure to be something he wasn’t drove him further away. He found working with his hands, like fixing up bikes and skateboards, calming, offering him an escape from the expectations he couldn’t meet. Despite everything, Leo always held a soft spot for Liana. He still looked out for her, even if he was frustrated by how easily everything seemed to come to her.

  
  
  

  PRESENT DAY

  Now a senior in high school, Leo has fully embraced his role as the family’s “problem child.” While his sister is seen as the golden girl who can do no wrong, Leo has become known as the one who gets into trouble. He’s part of a crowd that skips class, parties hard, and doesn’t care much for authority. Even though he’s smart, his dyslexia has made school a constant struggle and he’s given up on trying to meet the academic expectations his parents set for him. His anger issues have become more of a problem, he gets into more fights at school, argues with teachers, and is frequently in arguments with his parents. He resents the constant pressure to be more like Liana and feels suffocated by their attempts to “fix” him. The guys he hangs around don't do much to help him either, more so influencing it to be worse. He's become an errand boy for them, doing their bidding and handling their business. It's because of them, that Leo has gotten involved with things he shouldn't, that he's getting high more, and practically blacking out at parties just to let loose.
  
  Leo's escape from everyone is spending most of his free time at his job, working on cars at the mechanic shop. Fixing engines and tuning up cars are his outlets, places where he feels in control and free from judgment, pressure, places where his mind is naturally at peace. These hobbies keep him grounded and for a few hours, he can forget about the weight of everything he can never meet. While he seems like he doesn’t care much about school or the future, deep down, he feels lost. He knows that the path he’s on, hanging out with the wrong crowd and always being angry isn’t going to get him anywhere, but he doesn't know how to change course from the life he's living. His relationship with Liana is complicated. He still loves her and is protective, but there’s a part of him that resents how easily life seems to come to her. Yet, if anyone messes with his sister, Leo’s the first to step up and defend her, showing that despite everything, his loyalty to her hasn’t faded. Liana and their aunt Iza are the only ones who truly see Leo for who he really is. He's tired of feeling like nothing, tired of feeling sorry for himself. Alexandra was the only daughter of the Ho family her father was a successful real estate agent. While her mother was a renowned environmental lawyer. Since she could have recollection of things Alexandra has always been aware of two things the first one was that she has always known a life of privilege, one that was filled with extracurriculars, and anything she desired she would have and the second one was that she was destined for greatness.

While other kids played outside, she would often sit by the window, writing out her thoughts in a little notebook her parents had given her to help process all the changes in her life. Even though her family was loving and supportive, they were busy a lot, leaving Ashlyn with plenty of time to occupy herself with her thoughts, stories, and adventures she created in her head. Her parents encouraged her creativity, always bringing her books from their travels or asking her to write stories about the places they visited. This created her love for storytelling, but it also isolated her from kids her own age, as she found it difficult to relate to children who weren’t used to the lifestyle she lived. He had loose hands and an alcoholic problem and Bentley soon was hanging out with his friends more than with his mother, who impulsively decided to learn how to be a monk in Thailand. She was all over the place and clearly was struggling with a whole lot more than just parenthood. Bentley didn't quite voluntarily moved in with his dad but it would have to do. Bentley spend his days in a house that was most people's dream but to Bentley the stuff really wasn't going to fix his relationship with his father who spend most of his days hiding his drinking and being a ''good'' neighbor while he pushed his son to do better at school and keep drugs out of the house. That's exactly what Bentley tried to do but he had to dissapoint his father in both. Bentley spends his majority at school, hanging out with friends and smoking in the bleachers.   But nfortunately, even the most devoted parents can't always keep a kid from losing their way. As she grew older, Pia fell in with the wrong crowd, and began experimenting with different drugs. Unfortunately, her resolve never lasted long, and she'd be back out on the street to feed her habit eventually. The couple, of course, took their daughter to get help once again, and it seemed like it might actually take this time. Pia desperately wanted to stay clean after her son, Vicente, was born, but ultimately succumbed to her addiction, and her life would end in a fatal overdose just two months later.
  
  Baby Vicente was then given to Marta and Abraham, who raised him just as they did their own daughter, vowing to give him the happiest life a boy could ask for. He has every desire for success, and his ultimate dark secret is to become a crime lord within the guarded limits of Seoul. However Junwoo is well aware of an individual's desires for feeling involved, cherished, enjoyed and an odd sense of inclusion. Therefore he’ll play the part of a nice, and caring individual with flirtatious undertones. But his ultimate goal has nothing to do with the romantic delvings that American high schools seem to follow.
  
  His grades are naturally that of the highest standard. Considered the “attractive transfer student” his English is near perfect as he was fluent in the language long before moving to America. A general love for filmography in the form of movies, and television shows. An overall love for food, and maintaining his physical form. He’s a daily runner and has considered joining the track, and field club within Haven Fall’s educational system.

  Felix and his twin sister Fawn were born to workaholic upper middle class parents in San Diego, California. Growing up with parents much less concerned about parenting and more about economical status and career, the two were inseparable and always there for each other but never to the extent of forming a codependent relationship. Though they had a lot of mutual friends since early school years and thus would spend a lot time together, Felix and Fawn's hobbies and interests were quite vastly different. And their parents, just looking for ways of keeping their kids busy (and basically keeping them out of their way), would allow them to take up almost any hobby they wanted.
  
  Since their parents were more preoccupied with furthering their own careers while calling it "providing for the family", Felix would much rather look up to his friends' older siblings that showed genuine interest for his well-being. Following in the their footsteps he would eventually fall in love with motocross, dirt bikes and motorcycles in general. As soon as they were old enough to ride on public roads, Felix and his friends would regularly go on roadtrips to enjoy the freedom, often tagging along with the older brothers and their friends. Whatever free time he had left, he'd spend it with his longtime girlfriend, Milly. He was simply enjoying his life and the good vibes.
  
  Due to reasons shrouded in mystery, Milly ended up taking her own life. A tragedy that sent Felix spiraling down into depression. Instead of dealing with his grief he assumed a "don't give a fuck" attitude. Not apathetic or void of emotions but struggling to take matters like school, or life itself seriously anymore. Up to that point he used to do quite well at school but his performance dropped significantly due to this freshly adopted mindset. Instead of supporting their son while he dealt with a huge loss, their parents would keep neglecting Felix's needs and treat him like the ungrateful, insolent brat whenever they did pay attention to him. Without much parental supervision he was allowed to do just about whatever he wanted.
  
  Along with taking more and more risks with his stunt driving, he began shoplifting clothes and jewelry, allowing him to flaunt the vastly expensive Hypebeast style. The excitement that came with stealing, and the ever-present possibility of getting caught was a whole new kind of high. Occasionally he would sell the stolen goods for cash. Once or twice he had accepted payments in controlled substances to further avoid dealing with the mental pain. Cigarettes he'd steal from his dad, and an abundance of alcohol could always be found around the house. The fun-loving and generally good-natured teenager had turned into a not so 'petty' criminal.
  
  Finding out that a kid at school was spreading disgusting rumors considering Milly's demise was the final straw, resulting into him beating the kid up, and getting himself expelled from school. Thanks to good lawyers and a bit of good old bribery, lawsuits were avoided. His parents decided to relocate their broken family for a pathetic attempt at a new start. Even knowing all too well that he was at fault, Felix holds grudge towards his parents for tearing up his roots and dragging him across the country. In addition to leaving his longtime girlfriend and his friends (all the people he considered his true family) behind, he was forced to trade big city life and year-round great weather for a new life seemingly in the middle of nowhere.

  Nico is the single most chill guy you will ever meet. He gives off the distinctly bohemian, relaxed air of a modern-day hippie type, clearly wanting nothing more than to spread peace and good vibes wherever he goes. Spontaneous by nature, he is always willing to run off on an adventure at the drop of a hat, but just as comfy hanging around vibing. While sweet, loyal and flirtatious, Nico's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Known to be a bit dense, subtlety is usually lost on him. He's just not all that perceptive, and can be inadvertently callous or insensitive as a result. He's also quite lazy and spends way too much time laying around getting stoned, painting, or writing weird poetry and rap lyrics. This of course extends to his performance at school as well; he usually can't be assed to do the assignments and is often a disruptive pain in the ass when he actually makes it to class. And of course Divya's rich, well-to-do parents weren't happy to hear about of their unwed daughter's pregnancy, and how this would reflect on them. But they loved their only daughter dearly, and couldn't bear to throw her out. So they allowed Divya to continuing living with them, and stay long after the baby was born.
  
  Divya was a bohemian type though, a free spirit. She couldn't be tied down to staying home and caring for a kid, so she often left her son in the care of her parents for days or weeks at a time.   Divya traveled around for years like this until she eventually found herself strung out and pregnant again. Divya returned to the states and got clean, but by that time, it was just easier to chalk Nico up as another unfortunate mistake from her youth and strived to be a better mother to her new child. She ended up settling in Seattle, getting married, and having a couple more kids, and Nico stayed with his grandparents, never to see or really hear much from her again.
  
  After his grandfather died, his grandmother did what she could to discipline Nico as his sole guardian. But she was in her twilight years by the time Nico reached middle school, and fell in with a rebellious crowd of hoodlums at school, experimenting with drugs and staying out at all hours.   To those who knew Wilhemina Jimenez in her youth, they'd call her a classic girl next door. With a warm smile, introverted nature, and desire to make everybody happy, she was never exactly the prettiest or most charismatic girl in school, but she still exuded a certain comforting energy that made her hard to forget. But that was the old Wil. Nowadays, she's a far cry from the open, free-spirited girl that she once was. It's not that she doesn't care about people-she does. Too much, in fact. But something about Wil that precious few people knew, was just how desperate she was. Life had done a rough number on the young girl, and she wanted out. If the only way to get what she wanted was to lock herself in her bedroom, studying till the wee hours of the morning, then that's what she'd do. If that meant forming fake friendships with the nastiest people imaginable because she knew that they'd probably be able to return the favor generously in the future, then that's what she'd do. Did it make her happy? Hell no. But it was the role she'd been asked to play. The one thing about Wil that's stayed constant over the years?   Wilhemina was born far from the cozy small town of Haven Falls, across the world in the Philippines. A result of a drunken tryst, between Oscar Diaz, a funeral home director who had gotten into a dispute with Hilda Areneta, his girlfriend/baby mamma/business partner, and Claudia Booth, a college graduate from the US who had decided to spend a year backpacking across Asia. This plan was cut short by the discovery that she'd been knocked up by her one night stand. By all intents and purposes Claudia had no intention of keeping the ringworm around. With endless ambition and promise in life that lay outside of early motherhood, and no clue how she would even explain the situation to her family, she knew she could never raise the child. But when she went to tell him her plans, the evening took a drastically different turn.
  
  Already smitten with his other two kids, and having trouble convincing Hilda to have another, Oscar jumped at this third chance at fatherhood. Promising that he would offer financial support, he offered to raise the kid on his own as soon as the baby came, so she could go back to America with this experience behind her. This, of course, was an idea that only an utterly delusional man would be able to come up with. But being young and easily swayed, Claudia reluctantly agreed to his terms. And so, a little less than 9 months later, Wilhemina Jimenez was dumped out into the world and almost promptly ditched by her birth mother into the hands of Oscar and Hilda.

  Growing up, the idea that she was a product of an affair was felt, especially by Hilda. The idea that she had to be extra sweet and clever to compensate for how much complication she'd caused the family by existing was ingrained in her at a very young age. While nobody in her family was particularly mean or cruel to her in her childhood, any affection or kindness extended by Hilda felt like a privilege that could just as easily be discarded. Other than Oscar, she struggled to spend much time with her family as a kid, given Hilda's grudge over the affair, and the fact that both of her sisters were much older and had their own shit to deal with, Maya with her peageants and Cora with her studies. Far older than her, her sisters were much more disillusioned with Hilda than Wil was, and when the time came for them to become adults, both moved out without much fanfare.
  
  At age 7, her parents dropped a bombshell on her. For the past several years, they'd been saving and scheming to move to America to grow their funeral home business(aka find a way for Oscar to divorce his actual wife to be with Hilda, but whatever totally secondaryyy), and allow the kids to take advantage of that good ol' Murican dream and improve their lives too. This news was taken a lot harder by her older siblings, with Wil being completely oblivious to what moving across the globe even meant.
  
  Once arriving in the USA, it was revealed to the kids that all the parents had been able to afford was a crappy apartment over a dingy funeral home in a shithole city from middle of nowhere North Dakota Goodbye to gardens full of animal friends, hello to sneaking in wounded pigeons that smash into the window to unsuccessfully nurse back to health. Needless to say, it wasn't an easy transition for any of the members of the Jimenez family at first.
  
  As time passed, things got easier. The thick accent that Wil had gotten much grief for when she first started school slowly vanished. New customs replaced the old with little fanfare. Her older sisters were gone for good, and she was still somehow the least favorite child in the house. Slowly but surely, their funeral home quickly became known as the cheapest in town, with quality to match, and they evolved from a fish out of water to the owners of a hallmark of shit for all who hoped to bury their dead relative for as little dough as possible. And time that Wil had used to spend on her own with the animals, became offering to help around the home to win favor with Hilda.
  
  Hilda, who was growing more and more disillusioned with their crapsack life by the minute, sick of living in near damn poverty, sick of Oscar's refusal to listen to her worries, and sick of going nowhere in life. She wanted out. With Cora, the paramedic and Maya, the peageant queen both refusing to cooperate with her schemes of getting more money and connections, she was at her wit's end. She was of limited talents, she knew she couldn't get much further on her own. But Wil? So young, and a proper team player, unlike her selfish older sisters. Hilda had tried to get the money by encouraging Cora's academics, and the connections by pushing Maya into showbiz. But what if there was a way that she could combine both of those?
  
  So Hilda set to work. Wil was never as naturally gifted as her older sister was at her age, but she was only 8. That could be fixed in time. She started asking more questions about school, offering praise when good grades were given, and the silent treatment when she flunked. As predicted, Wil began pushing herself more and more to be the model student, realizing that that was the position where Hilda began to value her. She began to isolate herself from her friends, forgoing sleep and eating. Smarter kids than her didn't need half the effort that she put into studying, but Wil was never a genius. Nearly killing herself was the only way she could concievably reach the levels of success that she did.
  
  With Wil doing incredibly well for herself in school to the point that getting into good colleges wasn't a question, Hilda knew that good wasn't enough. There was only one road that Wil could go down to get the future that she deserved.. Ivy Leagues. While it basically guaranteed a good career, Hilda had bigger plans in mind. There,Wil was certain to be surrounded by trust fund babies. They would be her peers, people who could help elevate the both of them to higher society, through career opportunities, through loans owed as favors, and most importantly, through marriage.

  As soon as Wil entered high school, it Hilda decided that having Wil in on her scheme. Kind of. In reality, it was more of a "Our family is in fucking poverty, so you better make the most out of the opportunities you've been given in life. Whatever it takes, you will do, no questions asked." talk that left Wil feeling confused and slightly distressed. But she was never one to go against what she was told, and this was no exception.
  
  It was in the middle of Wil's freshman year that Wil was suddenly struck with absolutely gut-crushing news. Oscar Jimenez had tragically perished in a car accident. For a while, Wil struggled to function. Her grades slipped, she reverted back to her soft sensitive self. That was until Hilda came into her bedroom to confront her. "Her father wouldn't want her to sit around in grief." She said. "Her father would want her to make the best of her life. He would hate to see her fail to live up to her full potential." She said. Through a few carefully chosen words, Hilda had successfully manipulated Wil once more into doing her bidding.
  
  The grief never fully went away. Truthfully she couldn't even really process it. Not when she didn't have any real friends to confide in, and Hilda would just tell her there was no point in wallowing over something she couldn't control. So she pushed it all down.
