  Rohan doesn’t see much appeal in nicknames—his name’s already short enough, no? But, he’s grown to have an appreciation for them. It was a breath of fresh air when he was given a nickname—Ro. What started off as a shortened version of his name—solely because his sister was unable to pronounce the full thing properly, resulting in it sounding like Woe-an—became his new normal, blooming into something bigger. He holds the memory dear to his heart.
  
  Another nickname that he enjoys is given to him by Daniyal, his older brother. The two brothers always had rough patches, but they always held a strong bond with each other. Rohan was always pretty smart, in other ways—Daniyal wouldn’t ever dare admit it, but underneath the nickname Boy Wonder was a sense of pride that Daniyal showed for his brother. It’s almost bittersweet.
  
  Occasionally, he gets called Mr. Robot by his students—on the nose, is it not? Sometimes it gets switched up, Mr. Droid, Mr. Machine, whatever their little elementary school aged brains can think of. If they’re trying to be sneaky, they just call him Mr. R, because it’s the first letter of his name, and the first letter of the word robot. But, most prominently it’s just Mr. Robot.
  
  The name used to bother him, but eventually he learned that it was just out of good fun, not to be taken seriously. It might be one of the only jokes he understands. It took him embarrassingly long to understand.

  Rohan is a man who sticks out more than he wishes he did.
  
  His face is a sculpture of sharp lines softened by charm, full of contradictions that somehow blend into something mesmerizing. His high cheekbones catch the light just so, his angular jawline lending him a fierce, regal air, but there is nothing cold about him. His warmth is in his smile, lazy and knowing, in the way his full lips curl—not in a smirk, but in something deeper, something that suggests he holds a secret worth discovering. His nose is strong and hooked, his dark brown eyes, warm as molten gold in the right light, are alive with mischief, intelligence, and something just a little untamed. There is always something daring in his gaze, a challenge, an invitation. They flicker with amusement, with the quiet arrogance of a man who knows what he wants from the world and sees no reason to hide it. His expressions are rarely still; they shift with every mood, playful, coy, or utterly unreadable. He smiles often, and when he does, it is full—dazzling, dangerous, knowing.
  
  His skin is a deep, rich brown, akin to fertile earth under a blazing sun kissed by light and marked by experience. His hair is a bit longer than short, thick, and slightly unruly, always carrying a touch of movement, as if the wind enjoys running its fingers through it. Dark brown, rich in color, almost black even when the sunlight shines on it. A perpetual state of bedhead, but there is a natural wave to it. His facial hair is well-kept, short, precise, hat frames his sharp jawline and enhances the roguishness of his features.

  On the outside, Rohan seems to have his life all put together and figured out, and the way he meticulously plans only supports the idea. He fits the overachieving perfectionist trope, competitive and goal-oriented—hey, at least you can depend on him if you need something done, there’s a 99% probability that he’ll say yes.
  
  He talks a lot if given the chance—it’s not out of ego, more so out of overcompensation. His brain is running faster than his mouth, and he’s constantly rushing to over-explain himself. Although, he’s naturally quite stoic, delivering his words with a slight deadpan filled with quiet amusement and wit—his voice is more on the monotonous end, but he makes up for it by speaking with more expression and actively engaging with whoever he’s trying to talk to.
  
  He sets high standards for himself and this leads him to be over critical of others and himself at times. This doesn’t mean he’s indifferent or arrogant when dealing with others and their feelings, but his own emotions strangle him, wrapping its rough hands around his neck and smothering him. He cares too much, holding a sort of emotional intelligence.
  
  He might seem like a shell of himself at times, if that makes sense. Slightly snarky, and so practical that it seems to make him naive at times. His practical nature makes him awkward in casual settings, because he’s hardwired himself to follow a pragmatic mindset rather than an emotional one. And old habits die hard. Put him in a classroom or teaching setting and sure, he’ll go right in his element—but he can’t read social cues.
  
  He’s principled, striving for integrity, and through that realism that he’s taken on for most of his life—he has a subtle sense of optimism, showing willingness to chase after his goals no matter the probability there is for failure. He's far from helpless. His demanding nature doesn’t mean things going to plan or strategically mapping out probabilities in his head—it means pushing things to the limit, putting in his all, and expecting others to do the same. This can come off as hedonistic, but he has good intentions. Swear on it.
  
  He wouldn’t ever try to undermine someone or try to make them feel stupid. He just has this all-consuming curiosity for intellect, relentless in his pursuit for answers. This man over-compensates with everything. If something goes wrong, he’s overly self-sacrificial, quick to take the blame. If someone expresses even the slightest of disappointment, Rohan goes straight into saying that it’s his fault because he’s not up to par—not up to the standards he’s set for himself.
  
  Fortune favours the bold, does it not? Shaped by hardship, responsibility, and his duties, Rohan is like Icarus. He’s trying to reach the sun, completely disregarding that his wings are made of wax. Through the circumstances that he’d grown up in, he’s headstrong and straight to the point. There’s no point in dancing around subjects.
  
  With a large drive to achieve success, he’s constantly thinking about what’ll happen to him in the future, it’s off-setting. He’s not content on the sidelines, watching and observing—he just has to go in headfirst and theorize while on his feet. He approaches life hands-on, but deep down, he doesn’t know what he wants; he just doesn’t want to be useless.
  
  Unfortunately, this man is not the most composed. There’s only so much he can take before his tortoise shell starts to crack—and, hey, tortoise shells can take a lot of weight! Though, there have been many times in his career where he’s gotten too overwhelmed by what’s going on in his classroom, and it leaves him frantically trying to take on too much at one time.

  Off the top of his head: he’d say he enjoys the—excuse his language—shitty coffee that he orders from this one local diner that he stops by before work. He’s unsure if it’s because of the familiar taste or because it’s essentially his routine now, but he won’t ever quit drinking it. Another routine of his is late night drives, just to clear his head and tire himself out from the copious amounts of caffeine he consumes.
  
  Rohan, unfortunately, is a very simple man. So, he enjoys when things have a straightforward answer rather than there being multiple explanations for things—it makes his headache. Besides, he enjoys the thrill of success after accomplishing something—or even seeing someone else, say one of his students, reach a goal of theirs. He loves his job, he wouldn’t ever give teaching up for anything else.
  
  This man just might be a walking contradiction at times, because he loves unpredictability and spontaneity as much as he can hate it at times. He’s willing to grow and as stated before—he has this curious mindset that just consumes him. It gives him the feeling of butterflies in his stomach and adrenaline pulsing through him; so he may be boring at times, but he just needs a small push to try new things.

  Truly, Rohan doesn’t have many past times that he can share. He’s not creative, he’s never been the most athletic. Though, he does enjoy debate. Civil and well-mannered, either watching two people clash or being the one debating. He also enjoys puzzles, and boringly enough, stays in during harsh winters—assembling puzzles of cold blue landscapes together and taping them so that he can hang them up on his walls.
  
  As a kid, his parents encouraged him to take up violin, and in memory of that—he keeps his violin from his childhood in its case, just sitting in his living room because he doesn’t want to get rid of that. This goes along with his hobby of hoarding—cough, cough, collecting, whether it be small trinkets from stores he visits, textbooks and books in general to store on his bookshelf.
  
  And lastly, as cliche it is, he loves studying. He’s the type to have random facts to share on every occasion. He’s always studying a topic every other week just to keep his mind sharp and occupied. Besides, it gives him a good opportunity for icebreakers with other people.
  

  dislikes

  For as long as Rohan has known, he’s always had to wear glasses. And despite how much of an inconvenience they can be half the time—he hates wearing eye contacts more. They dry his eyes, and he can’t put them in without tearing up. He’ll stick to his glasses falling down his nose every once in awhile and occasionally being knocked off his face.
  
  He also dislikes having to cut his hair, even if it’s scruffily scratching at his neck, he’ll just put it up in a stupid little high pony! Even it sticks out in every direction, too short to fit in fully, too long that it starts to irritate his skin, even if the students clown on him for how it’s essentially half-up half-down—he’ll deal with it. Though, 99% of the time he takes it down ten minutes after putting it up because of tension headaches.
  
  The thought of disappointing others if he fails only eggs him on further to the point he’s forced himself to think on his feet, causing him to overstimulate himself at times. And the same goes for sarcasm and teasing, because he just doesn’t understand it! It drives him nuts. It takes him embarrassingly long to figure out, as he lays face flat in his pillow going through each and every interaction that he had that day.
  
  Another thing that drives him mad is unexpected loud noises—are you catching the pattern yet? He enjoys his peace, except at the same time, he hates awkward silences. He can’t start a conversation, but trust that he’ll do his damn best to hold it, because he hates just standing, shifting uncomfortably beside another person.

  There’s not much to fear, he thinks. Though, his gut stirs at the concept of time. Well—he’s not afraid of time itself, but he fears that he doesn’t have enough of it. It feels like time is moving without him, because it doesn’t stop for anyone. He just has the fear of falling behind.
  
  Another thing he’s afraid of is criticism. This man puts his everything in what he does, and any hint of disapproval from anyone makes him hyper-focus on everything he does, he gets too in his head.

  background

  how long have they been in greenwood?

  Eighteen months. He lives in a cramped studio apartment over the local pizza shop, Pizza Joe's, fitted a creaking fire escape and a peeling-paint front door. On particularly warm evenings, he likes to sit outside on the fire escape's platform and read while the sky is still light out.
  

  how did they stumble across greenwood?

  This is a story often told after a few drinks, not often admitted by Rohan’s sober mind. Teaching jobs straight out of college did not come easily for him, and he found himself waffling between tutoring jobs and teaching interviews. He came across Greenwood half out of accident, and although he says he doesn't believe in it, half from fate. On a drive three hours out from home towards another teeth-pulling interview, his car broke down in the middle of Greenwood's Main Street. Some of the townsfolk immediately rushed to his aid, and with his car under repairs for the next few days, Rohan familiarized himself with the town. On his first day, he visited the local elementary school, which was celebrating the retiring of one of its beloved math teachers. Opportunity shone down on Rohan that day, he's convinced. Or something close to it. He's lived in Greenwood ever since.

  Yes and no. Rohan's nine to five, homework needing to be graded, and a dog to be fed are typically the only thoughts occupying his mind. Sure, some of the residents are unique, curious in their hobbies or late-night activities, but he's not one to judge.

Summarize:
Vito was originally a female, his father was abusive towards him and his brother. Him being older, always tried to protect his brother. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to..His brother suffered greatly and then their body was unable to be saved. Vito had to flee the scene so he wouldn't suffer the same fate.

Vito eventually found out his father passed. He became transgender when he was around 500 year old shortly after his father's death. Vito went to the area they remembered of his brother's body. He wasn't able to find the body and sometimes believes he hears his brother's voice in drastic or horrible situations. Due to the way Vito grew up, he felt a constant need to help others using his powers as he was unable to protect his brother. He feels a constant guilt when he's unable too. He prefers to be alone, yet his lonesome leads to unwanted thoughts since was alone always with his brother at his side. At times he believes he sees his brother, however it always just his imagination. A guilty feeling always lingers with him when this happens.

He has a book that has these trigger words/all this information written down that was translated to English. Half of the book is in Russian, other half is in English. Book also features dates as a log line to him undergoing the experimentation/what was tested, how he reacted. Within the book its always refered to Huxley as subject #527-B. The scientist never saw him as a person, but an item to abuse.

This book is locked safely in a drawer besides his bed, the key is always kept on himself as a personal item.

Spoiler: Background

Backstory: Huxley's lived in the township after he left the military at the age of the 22. He found the this quiet little township, Greenwood Falls, and applied to help out on their law enforcement since after a few months without work, he found himself restless. He's been assisting in the town since then. Huxley often keeps to himself, yet nearly everyone in the town knows him as a mysterious deputy that people tend to be wary around. Huxley tends to come off intimating but he tries to either way help the people and assist the sherif in handling any issues. He doesn't mind paperwork and tends to keep his cool easily yet has moments where he's needed to step away from work to not lash out and harm someone or himself.

Huxley growing up grew up in a harsh environment that grew worse after the passing of his mother at fourteen. Huxley's father always raised his son military style, quite strict and stern. He grew up poor and often missed out upon certain things. Unfortunately after the passage of his mother, Huxley was sent to a military boot camp, since his father was already planning to and his wife's death was merely unexpected. (Less to spend if your child is away is what he thought). His father was offered for Huxley to undergo a certain amount of experiments in exchange for money, since the people at the camp, saw Huxley had potential for something else..

Huxley underwent a series of experiments that changed him physically and mentally to become a perfect solider. The experiments forced him to be cooperative through a certain set of commands. These commands were said in Russian only. A hypnotic set of commands were insulted into his mind.

Huxley was often imprisoned if he wasn't training. Which is where he met a young woman around his age, she was considered a traitor. Huxley never saw the young woman as such and grew to be close, he always tried to protect her whenever he could..She didn't care what he had become..Even though the workers considered him as a merciless beast. Whenever he was under the hypothesis through the commands, Huxley had no control over himself nor his actions. He always followed out to the command, by the commander..No matter the risk, or harm he did the deed. Yet he always remembered what he did unfortunately, so he suffered from a lot guilt and regret.

The two grew closer and always tried to help each other, Huxley offering protection, extra food and Kaya taking care of his wounds and offering emotional/mental support..Despite the circumstances.

||When Huxley was training one day, the guards were told to remove the traitor, since they noticed the two grew quiet close and didn't want Kaya to be a distraction for Huxley. He returned to them beating her to death. Unfortunately the hypothesis forced him to just watch. Huxley ended up snapping when it was over, murdering five guards, two of whole, whom he brutally murdered..an animal inside of him hungry for blood. The other guards nearly led Huxley to bleed out when they tried to control him again and to stop his rage.|| He was treated as monster, too familiar with a muzzle and imprisonment.~

Upon the age of 17, when he was almost 18, he was released from the trails/training and sent out to the force. Huxley was often under the hypothesis upon the guilt lingering from his close friend. (He didn't love her, he only saw her as a friend, as did she, it was platonic and mutual thing).

He worked as a secret operative..However that didn't mean they trusted him. Huxley still underwent abuse and imprisonment. Yet he managed to bound with his squad, despite many others not trusting him since he came off inhuman and odd due to him keeping always to himself. As time passed..Huxley grew in ranks..Although one night a mission went wrong, his whole squad ended up killed through just the wrong time..of course Huxley survived due to his inhumane abilities, his strength and speed saved him. But not anyone else. Huxley often feels survivor guilt due to this. Once more unable to save people he cared for..Just watching. (Although this time was a lot more quicker then before-).

After he served, he found the town, not wishing to return to his home town.

Appearance Description:
Van has a crop of mid-length, ash-blond hair that falls in messy waves in front of his angular face and down the back of his neck. His eyes are light, honey-brown, but appear amber in sunlight to a deep topaz during sunset. He's often seen in business-casual attire like open-collar button-downs and waistcoats. His personal style includes a hanging chain piercing that connects the outer shell of his ear to the lobe, and thin, silvery links settled in loops around his throat. There is always a pack of menthol cigarettes on him somewhere, tucked safely into an authentic mother-of-pearl case.

Employed as Greenwood Fall's local Doctor, running a small clinic out of his home.

Abilities:
Van has a basic understanding of all magical branches, but his fortes are in healing magics, divination, conjuring, and most potently, potion-making.​

Personality:
Van is rather reserved, keeping quiet until spoken to directly or when treating patients in "doctor-mode". But don't ask his opinion on something unless you're ready to hear the unfiltered truth. Most people in town are on a first-name basis with the good doctor when out and about around town, but he prefers Dr. Summers while working—except for those in his closest friend circle.

History/Backstory:
Van moved to Greenwood in the summer of 2023, right after finishing his education in the medical field. Although he's only been in town for two years, he's more than made a name for himself with the other residents through his treatments, potion crafting, spell work, and the occasional bit of divination.

He settled into a large Tudor-style home at the end of Willow Drive, perched on top of a hill and surrounded by Corsican pines, Scots pines, and western hemlocks. A large yew stands slightly off-center in front of the home, offering plenty of shade for the hanging, wooden bench swing clinging to it.

Van runs his practice out of his home—small, but well-equipped for a town like Greenwood. Though he can’t perform surgery, he has enough on-hand to deal with most injuries like broken bones, severe lacerations, and almost any illness.

The doctor’s greatest drive is to cure lycanthropy, or, at least, create a supplement to allow a werewolf to retain their humanity during the full moon.

His ears are long and covered in piercings (appearing short but pierced to humans), coupled with snake bite studs on his bottom lip and a nose ring. During winter months Malcom uses crutches or a wheelchair depending if he'd visited the doctor for a heating potion to keep his human legs functional. The entirety of Malcom's body is covered in tattoos, solid, delicate lines above the waist and thick bands of black on his legs.
TRUE FORM APPEARANCE: Outside of the length of his ears, the most significant difference was the extremely long, lithe tail that replaced Malcom's human legs. With solid white belly scutes and softly rounded black iridescent scales on top, the tail tapered into a tip as red as his hair.

PERSONALITY: Malcom is a very quiet person by himself, although appearing standoffish and antisocial, he craves company but is always unsure on how to make friends. He cares for both people and animals and wants to share his little corner of paradise on his farm. He has a difficult time admitting when he needs help and often runs himself ragged from overwork.

HISTORY: Malcom arrived at Greenwood Falls about 3 years ago when he sold everything he had and bought the Evermoor Acres farmland. He kept to himself for the first year but eventually Malcom established his desire to provide a source of fresh produce for the town. From regular fruit and veggies and cooking herbs to more.. interesting fruit, veg and magical animal produce, Malcom would grow it and sell it either to the grocery store, at a market stall when it was warm enough or directly to diners and cafes and other small businesses.

It was surprisingly hard to see Malcom's true form in town, driving a car and moving over concrete wasn't exactly comfortable with a scaled belly so Malcom only left his pointy ears out around town. During winter months though, there was often a post on the community board if anyone wanted to help at the Evermoor Acres with tending to crops in the greenhouse or the ranch animals.

PERSONALITY: Beth is a very kind person, but she’s also a bit mischievous. She tends to prank people and/or tease them, though she does know when to draw the line. When it comes to sewing she’s very passionate about it, she can and will talk for hours about sewing if you let her.
HISTORY/BACKSTORY: Beth grew up with a drunken, abusive, asshole of a father. Her mother died during childbirth, and because of that her father hated her. She was constantly abusive and treated like a servant. She had no friends but did take to sewing. Soon sewing became the one thing to calm her and make her happy. As soon as she turned 18 she left her house, taking 300,000 dollars she stole from her father, she was never caught as how would the police find her? She was in Greenwood they had no hope to find her. She also took her sewing kit. She then found her way to Greenwood.

Greenwood became her home and Beth felt happy there, the residents were quirky but fun. She made a few friends and loved it there. She set up a sewing shop with the money she stole and started making various dresses and other clothing. She even made a wedding dress for someone one time.

HEADCANONS: Because of what her father put her through Beth started believing that she was the reason her mother died as well.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Beth loves fluffy animals, they are her absolute favorite. She has her own Chow-Chow named Milton who she loves to pet as he’s incredibly fluffy and sweet. She also likes: Sewing, baking, sleeping, and rom-coms.
Beth hates spicy food and would rather eat trash than eat anything more spicy than a quarter of a hot Cheeto. She also dislikes: loud noises, dairy, (this is because she is highly lactose intolerant, although she doesn’t dislike the taste of dairy but she dislikes eating it because as I said, she’s lactose intolerant.) and bugs.
