The nurses had to sedate Alexander as well, as his level of panic was dangerously close to straight up insanity.
Eliza laid limp in the bed as the world was in a haze around her.
Alexander was in the corner, sobbing hopelessly. There was nothing he could do to fix this.
Alexander was taken to the mental hospital while Eliza slept.
Alexander was alone in his room for hours. Hours and hours of panic attacks and blacking out. He didn't have eliza. Was eliza okay? He couldn't know. He eventually found a phone and called the hospital, hoping he had remembered her room number correctly.
Eliza picked up the phone, it was obvious she was crying. "Hello?"
"Eliza?" Alexander asked. His voice was weak and shaking.
"Alexander!" she exclaimed. "I was so worried about you."
"Don't be. I'm in the mental hospital now." Alexander said softly. "How are you?"
"Has anyone talked to you yet?" She ignored his question about how she was.
"N-no." Alexander mumbled. "I'm okay. How are you?"
"I'm fine." she lied. In truth she was lonely and felt like no one besides Alexander wanted to be with her.
Alexander sighed heavily. "Eliza, two weeks. I'm here for two weeks."
"I'm so sorry Alexander."
"I'm going to go insane, Eliza." Alexander mumbled. "I'm so alone."
"You can call me every day. I love you so much."
Alexander began to panic again, but it wouldn't be obvious over the phone. "I love you more." He whispered.
She sighed shakily. "at least someone does."
"Eliza, people love you. I love you." His voice had started shaking. "I love you so much. I'd do everything for you."
"Alexander what's wrong?"
"The walls are closing in... Eliza, I can't breathe..." Alexander fell onto his bed. He was terrified. "I have to protect you... I'm not there for you..."
"Alexander I'm fine, just focus on breathing. Just breathe."
Alexander tried to take deep breath, but he couldn't. "I can't, Eliza, I can't."
