"No you aren't." Peggy whispered. "Where's Alexander?"
"A mental hospital." she said sadly.
Peggy cursed softly. "I'm so sorry."
Eliza bowed her head and sobbed.
Peggy hugged her sister tightly.
Eliza hugged back. "I love you Peggy."
"I love you too, Eliza." Peggy whispered.
Eliza leaned against her and cried.
Peggy held her sister gently and comforted her. She didn't know everything that was going on, but she was going to comfort her sister.
Eliza just cuddled with her little sister. She wanted her whole family with her.
Alexander hung up the phone as a doctor entered his room. He was examined, given medicine, and counseled for two hours.
peggy kissed Eliza's forehead and sang softly lullabies to her.
Eliza cried herself to sleep in Peggy's arms, feeling safe and warm.
Peggy gently laid Eliza down as she fell asleep. She was a ball of nerves herself. Lafayette had a dangerous surgery coming up. Eliza was paralyzed. Angelica was missing in action.
As soon as Peggy stopped holding her Eliza began to whimper.
Peggy sighed and stroked Eliza's hair. "Sh, sis. Everything is gonna be fine."
Eliza was having a nightmare that everyone left her. Peggy despised her, Alexander left her, Angelica abhorred her, her father abandoned her. She was alone and hated.
Peggy just stroked Eliza's hair and kept herself from crying.
Eliza woke up sobbing, terrified that everyone would begin to hate her.
Peggy wiped away Eliza's tears. "Hey, it's okay. I'm still here."
"Daddy…Angelica…" she cried. She wanted her family with her.
"It's okay. They're coming." Peggy whispered.
Eliza sobbed weakly. She was so afraid that she would lose everyone she held most dear.
