Valeria's Room
Alpha House
Despite the rather impressive layout of the house style dormitories, their naming conventions where rather lackluster, but then again no one really cared. The Sun rose, casting it's rays over the green, eden, almost sculptured beauty of the Pacific Academy of Interdisciplinary Studies and Technical College. Reflecting off of The Hub and across the Ocean that stretched off to the West. The glittering waves crashing along the sandy beaches and green forest that encompassed the Campus. It was a tranquil morning, the milling about of students like the stirring of ants from a hill, and as the Sun's light blazed ever onward on its Celestial arc across the sky the fury of its gaze fell on the Dormitories.
On the second floor of a nice log cabin style dorm the light of morning assaulted the black curtains. Creeping through the edges, giving a white glow, and edging away the shadows of night. On a bed off to one corner, hair like the finest silk chaotically about her visage, was a slender figure. Her soft skin laid bare to the cool air of morning seeping through the cracked window. Open just enough to allow a subtle breeze into the room.
The figure stirred, rolled, and crashed down onto the pillow to face the window and it's encroaching glow. Just then, the digital clock resting atop a solid oak nightstand, emanated vibrations. Mellow sounds. Escalating into a guitar riff that jolted the figure upright. A slender arm lashed out, smacking the clock with a veritable clap!

(The tune coming from Valeria's clock)
Raising a hand to it's mouth the figure let out a yawn. Swinging slender feet off of the bed and onto the floor. Rising out of the bed it became clear that this figure was of the feminine variety. From her long hair, chiseled features, soft skin, bust, and tight waistline down to the long legs it was clear that this was a young lady. Indeed, the turning of a brass knob, the creak of a door sliding and the revealing of clothing to match this previous fact confirmed all.
Cladding herself in blue jean shorts ending at the knees, flip flops, and a white V-neck t-shirt over a matching set of undergarments. Moving to the window the curtains fluttered open. The full might of the Sun invaded the room. Casting away the darkness and gloom. The radiance striking the girls skin in all it's youthful glory.
Moving to the desk built in a more post-modern fashion she grabbed a black backpack and a black-silver edged fountain pen. An automatic movement to the small of her neck felt a medallion in the shape of a hammer with a diminutive handle. Reassured that said medallion was still present upon her the girl opened her bedroom door and moved down the stairs. Arriving in the common room with the kitchen off to the side, laundry room down a short hall, and a screen door leading to a patio. Facing East one would come to the front door.
Moving through the living room the girl entered the kitchen. Opening a pantry the sounds of rummaging where afoot. Followed by a sign of disappointment.
"Must I mark everything that is mine?! Just because I buy cereal doesn't mean it is now everyone's cereal." Turning the box of Honey Nut Cheerios upside down as emphasis on the point she frowned. Instead opting to grab an English muffin and slide it into the toaster oven next to the microwave on the polished wooden counter.
The day had begun...
