Kai looked at everyone and smiled as they all tried to help his injuries. He actually made friends for once, or so he had hoped he did. Kai watched as one of the girls treated his wounds, then he looked at Corvus. Kai sighed and looked around at the group. "Well I'm sure we're friends right?" He asked everyone as his left eye was still closed. "I hope i can trust you guys, i never had friends before because everyone was always scared of me because I'm the grim reapers first child. Don't ask how it happened but the reason my eye bleeds is because of the technique i used to protect you all. The reason I took the beating instead of fighting back is because well.. never mind." Kai rather not tell his friends such a devistating secret that might scare them even worse knowing he's the son of the ruler of death.​

Fox walked up to Kai, patting his back before he gave a thumbs up. "It's A-okay, dude. Nothing wrong with the demons running with you. You did what you did, and i give ya mad props for that, brah." Alec's nodded to Fox's words. "That was really sincere of you, Fox."
Fox nodded, "I can be sincere. Now Kai, do you have food on you?" Alec's smacked his own forehead as he groaned. "You had a moment of being a sincere, kind person. A moment."

After Eshreal finished treating Kai she smiled. Is this what having friends or just people in general feels like? She noticed Eshreal was fully focused on Corvus, Chanmi felt like asking Eshreal why but, she felt like it wasn't her business. She then looked at Alec and Fox, she felt a bit of envied because of how close they seemed to be; their relationship was a polar opposite to her and sister's. She then looked at Kai who was all beat up. "That guy he seemed to know you." she said, "Is this normal for you?" she asked. Chanmi was worried about Kai she was afraid things like this would happen often and for someone who doesn't like violence, she couldn't bare seeing something like that happening again. Chanmi was going to ask Kai another question but she remembered, she never properly introduced herself. "Before i forget," she said "I'm Chanmi Lee." she stock her hand for a hand shake and began to blush out of shyness as usual.

He looked around at everyone and smiled at them all. "Well I'm glad to say we should hang out some time to get to know each other." Kai said as he opened his left eye. "Yeah it's been happening for a while ever since we were kids actually. He calls me duckling because ducklings are defenseless and unable to do anything by themselves. Which was me as a kid I was always scared of him and wouldn't stand up for myself. So he picked on me for always being that one good kid who always dropped tears and was scared for his life." Kai said with a sigh looking down at his shoes. ​

Looking over at Eshreal with an oddly stern glare. "Things become more clear when you listen, and if there are anymore questions ask me after we've handled this." Not saying another word he redirected his attention back to Kai. After a few moments Corvus took a step back noticing Kai was trying to stand up on his own. "Eshreal here, was able to close your wounds so you should theoretically be fine." Letting out a sigh of relief. "It's nice to know people can use their skills for something productive unlike 'others'." After learning that this problem has been going on since childhood Corvus is somewhat baffled at the thought of it. "Well he's one to hold a grudge now isn't he?" His voice suddenly fills with frustration after he started feeling a stressful vibe from Kai. "Don't you dare stress yourself about this, no amount of guilt will change the past nor will worrying change the future."

Alec nodded to Corvus's words. "Yeah, it's best to relax especially after just getting into that heated fight. It's no worries on your troubles. Fox seemed pumped in the beginning of Alec's speech before sinking in on himself. "But that's no fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun! What about fight first ask questions later!?" Alec snickered, patting him on his back.

Kai looked at three boys as he nodded and looked over where the grunts ran off too. "I'm glad you guys are okay, and yeah I try my hardest not to use my magic for evil. I rather do more good then bad with my reaper blood." Kai said scratching the back of his head. "So where was everyone headed too?" Kai said looking at the group of people he just met. It was odd they ignored the fact he was the grim reapers child since everyone who figured out would run in fear. Yet these people only care about his well being, he needs more people like this in his life. Instead of being alone and worrying about no one but himself this was a good change for him, and he was sure his mom would be proud. "Yeah he's never going to forget what happened here to be honest for you all he wants his my head on a platter." Kai said scratching the back of his head.

Fox looked to the ground, kicking an imaginary rock. "I wish i could go with you guys to wherever, but Alec and I have to put our bags away." Alec looked to Fox before rolling his eyes, hating himself for going for this act as usual. "Alright, alright, stop putting me in a guilt trip! Go ahead with them, i'll take your keys and put our bags away. Keep your phone on you, i'll call you to know where you're at, and for the love of all Gods out there, please, oh, please, be good." Fox put his hand to his chest before getting on his knees and bowing a full ninety degrees to Alec. "I will! I will! I will, i swear i will! Thank you, thank you, thank you! You're the best boyfriend ever!" Alec's sighed as Fox stood up, hugging him, laughing. "I kid, i kid! A whatever the hell i am can only dream, right?" He made kissy noises as Alec pushed his mask away before Alec took his keys and bags, waving to the group and then left. Fox's shadow on the wall showed two tails thanks to his excitement. "So, where we goin' group?" Pure happiness for not having to put his bags away was shown in the tone of his voice.

Selene watched the two sisters, Rose and Violet, display their powers of illusion and plant manipulation. It seemed that illusion magic seemed to be a fairly common power at this place, since she'd already found two people who could use it. Maybe she would be able to strengthen her own spells. She created the illusion of a silver lily in the palm of her hand, quietly displaying her own skills of illusion which she realized weren't as powerful as Rose's, as reluctant as she would me to admit it.

Perhaps more importantly, though, these sisters seemed to have fey blood in them due to their powers and traces of enchanting beauty, and this was practically confirmed when Violet asked her about her homeland. "You've... never seen the fey realms?" she asked with initial surprise. Then she noted the fact that they seemed to dress and act just like humans, and that there must certainly be plenty of fey whose realms had been lost. "They're beautiful, magical, unlike anything in the world of man. But there aren't many of them left. The fey seem to be disappearing from this world, and I don't know why. Perhaps it's because the humans are becoming more expansive and settling near too many of our lands, but I'm not sure," she sighed with sadness and fear.

Selene then learned that Vivian was actually a kitsune. That was interesting. According to her father, they were often seen in fey realms especially in the east, but rarely served fey nobles themselves By now she was relieved as she realized that she had just met two of her kind when she had no idea how many were left in this world. "I should take you to my homeland someday," she said with a friendlier tone. "It's nice to meet more of my kind."

Now what had happened to the boy, Hector? He had seemed quiet so far, sitting in the corner of the table and not having spoken for a little while. And just as she took another look at him, he turned to leave. Selene didn't really mind; he didn't seem especially remarkable so far. A few moments after he had left, Violet suggested that they head outside. Selene almost suggested that they stay a little while longer until she saw someone that made her instantly change her mind. Lorenzo had entered the café, and was eyeing her own table. She had just now gotten in a better mood, and just looking at him made her angry. "Good idea," she said as she quickly left the table. "Let's go."​

I was not the least bit shocked when the people around me had changed expressions once I had appeared. "How scary!" I'd remark, "I could catch a frostbite just by being here, with such a cold welcome, who wouldn't want to run away?" I'd complain. Weaving my words ever so slowly, but with an emphasis that made it sound almost as a voice of reason.

I'd turn to Selene, and she seemed to be a bit steamy towards me. "Oh, are we still mad about that? Huh," I'd note. Sighing, I'd then decide to begin citing her words. Using magic that I've learned, I'd alter my voice to become as potent and soft-sounding as Selene's. "I'm sorry I caused so much trouble. Let's just try to put this whole scene behind us, shall we," I'd say. Putting on an expression mimicking that of Selene's. The desperation and desire in Selene could be reflected on my face. One might think that I am a mirror.

I'd cancel out the magic that I've used on myself and then note that, "I believe that I already put 'this whole scene,' behind me. But if you're not going to uphold your end of the bargain, I suppose I will have to start remembering now. Pity, really. I'd personally thought that we'd be great friends." I'd then humble myself once more. Becoming more loose and free as I'd lazily hold my head in my hands, while looking at the people sitting at my table. I'd await everyone's response.

Rose and Violet glanced at each other in surprise when Selene mentioned taking them to the Fey realms. They had always been told that they were unwelcome since they were half human. The shock of that statement kept them glued to their seats as Selene walked away, that was until Lorenzo did his impression of Selene.
Rose glances over to Lorenzo and frowns at him. "How childish," she says in a cold tone, and then abruptly gets up. Violet follows, though avoids eye contact with Lorenzo as the two hurry to catch up to Selene.
"Hey, wait," Rose calls out to Selene as they catch up. "We have more questions."

Chanmi agreed with what Corvus, it would be nice to hear everybody's stories. After she heard Fox ask where everyone was heading, she remebered that she and Eshreal were going towards the park. "Well Eshreal and I were headed to the park" She said, "You guys can join us if you guys want; my only worry is Kai getting bothered by that guy again."

"Fey realms sound great!" Vivian said trying to get into the conversation a little bit, she guessed it was natural for the three of her current companions to be close considering they were all the same species.

Vivian stuffed the last bit of her last cake in her mouth as her eyes, almost instictively, shot towards Lorenzo's direction. She also saw everyone else's face drop as they acknowledged him- she also couldn't seem to find that quiet boy anywhere but she figured he just left without saying anything. Seemed a lot like him. Vivian didn't really have a problem with Lorenzo, he was a bit rude earlier but Selene had already done some pretty bad stuff too- and she forgave her for that. Vivian didn't really see why Lorenzo shouldn't get the same treatment. She sent a faint smile his way accompanied by a slight wave, trying to lighten the mood for him a little.

But then she heard him say his piece, she rolled her eyes and looked at him with an expression that said 'really?'. She saw the other three girls get up and start to walk off, she let them go before saying to Lorenzo: "You know, Lorenzo, would it hurt to not be so rude about everything? Selene already apologised and said she wouldn't do it again, and because of that you're not justified to be rude to her. I know she's still a bit, uhm, cold- and I apologise on her behalf for that. It looks like you're not really ready to move past what happened earlier yet either, but once you are, how about being the first one to show you've moved past the issue between you both and drop the grudge. Think about it." Her tone was serious, Vivian didn't like drama- negative emotions were something she wasn't a fan of and nothing but negative emotions came from drama.

She wanted to hear what Lorenzo had to say before going to catch up with Selene, Rose and Violet.

"Actions speak louder than words, infinitely," I'd say in response. "She says the words but has no meaning behind them, as reflected through her actions. I only hold a grudge on those who do the same. After all, my name literally means 'Mirror,' from where I come from. Here's a hint, it's not France. So I suppose its only nature," I'd retort back. "I am willing to drop the grudge, but as I will note, Selene doesn't seem ready to," I'd say grimly.

"But hey, no need to throw me under the bus, eh? Taking blame for others is what friends are for, right?" I'd say jokingly. A clear attempt to lighten the mood and change the topic. To top it all off, I smile innocently. "As I remember, I was going to show you a magic trick," I'd add. With a wave of a hand, I'd magically pull out a deck of cards. I'd lay the cards out in piles of 13. "Pick one pile, and we'll go on from there," I'd instruct. Waiting for her to respond.

"well my first idea was to explore the campus a little.. and me and Chanmi were going to the park." She put a finger on her chin. "but that might be boring for you" She looked at the ceiling remembering the layout of the school. her eyes widened and her finger was released from her chin. She was reminded of all those comics (manga) that she used to read back at home! "How about the roof? We can get a good view and some fresh air! especially after what happened just now" Clapping her hands together thinking she got something that everyone would be interested in she waited for everyone to give their opinion.

Kai could feel the strange vibe fox gives along with his odd personality but that was no matter they where friends now. "Kuro won't bother me I'm sure he's training for another day so don't worry and next time hopefully a teachers around so I could fight back and." "We are the boys that everyone at school are scared of you're going to sit here and bs me with this KAI'S TO STRONG!? I'M STRONG NOT HIM! HE'S WEAK LIKE THE REST OF THE GROUP OF JUNKIES THAT HE PROTECTED!!!" Kuro said as the flames engulfed his hand once more as he was breathing heavily form the frustration

She took in what he had said about Selene, "Yeah, I see what you mean. She doesn't strike me as someone who forgives and forgets first. But I don't want two of my friends to be in this constant grudge, promise me that when she does become ready, and that the bitterness in her tone and resentment towards you is gone you will be the first one to apologise- please." She said after hearing everything else he had said. One thing he had said had taken Vivian aback slightly: "you're not from France?!" She said in surprise, it was like her to get distracted by such a trivial detail like that, "but you sound French...where do you come from?" The words escaped her mouth with a confused and quieter tone.

Her mind was brought back to earlier when the magic trick was first proposed to her, but she didn't recall it involving cards. She decided to play this little game of magic, why not? She thought. Eyeing the cards for a while and unsure of what he was going to do, Vivian eventually settled on the pile of cards on the very left of the row of piles that had been set out.

"There, I want this one." She said pointing to it and returning the innocent smile.

"Haven't used it in combat for quite the while, so I could maybe put some practice in." With out warning he starts walking in a random direction only to stop and come right back. "I realized that my sense of direction is still terrible around these parts." Laughing at his mistakes, he scratched the back of his head. "By all means if either of you could lead the way..."

I'm a free social butterfly." He then brought Kai closer, touching his mask to Kai's face. "Unless you piss me off and that will result to your untimely doom." He then twirled Kai and skipped over to the stairs that lead to the roof. "But otherwise, we are amigos! Les go!"

"I was adopted by a French Family, that is where I attained my French composure and accent. However, where I am from, is in a sense, out of this world! But that's all I have to say on that matter," I'd jokingly note.

Going back to the magic trick, I'd notice the stack of card's she'd pick. "Alrighty then," I'd say. I would then pick up the stack of cards and show the bottom card without me looking at it. I would the shut my eyes and say, "Take note of the suit of the cards, the suit meaning the symbol there. Like a Heart or a Spade or something, then why don't you take a gaze in my eyes?" I'd say. As I would then place down the card on the bottom face up, and I would open up my eyes. However, something strange occurred. My Iris's were not the same. Instead, they changed into the suit that Vivian had seen.

"Surprised?" I'd childishly note, as I'd smile so playfully, and put my head in my hands once more. Waiting for her response.

"The roof is a great suggestion." Chanmi answered. She held her own hands together behind her and smiled. "Some fresh air does sound nice." Chanmi added thinking about the breeze. She then looked at Corvus's mechanical arm as he mentioned that he hasn't practiced with it in a while. She wondered what it could do during battle it was obvious that they were sharp but, there was more to it she couldn't see. She then turned over to Fox who was speaking to Kai. Chanmi noticed that as funny as Fox is he can be very intimating. Finally she began to follow Fox, "Come on!" she told the rest of the group happily. Knowing she was able to call these people friends filled her with delight.

"Out of this world huh?" Vivian said idly but also somewhat curious, it was clear he didn't want to tell her though so she didn't try and pry into it just yet, despite wanting to quite badly. She was genuinely shocked when she looked into his eyes.

"Wow, that was cool! How'd you do that? You can use magic to change your eyes?" She said with excitement like a child's in her voice. Her eyes were filled with wonder before they squinted slyly and a little smile emerged from her face before she asked him "You're not human are you? I remember how you rushed into me when we first met, you were going so fast. Your magic too. So," she said appearing all smug like she'd figured out a loophole "you won't tell me where you're really from, but will you tell me what you are?" As time passed by Vivian grew more intrigued by Lorenzo, he appeared like an easygoing and somewhat headstrong trickster, but that was just it. A trickster, she felt like he was hiding something and as much as she felt like it was wrong to question someone like this- curiosity overwhelmed her.
