Honestly on one hand black might want to use lightning rail out of curiousity on the other she might want to take the road in order to familiarize herself with the area which would make things easier for her in the future. In the end she would just go with whatever option has thr most votes.

Right, so all of your characters have their own dedicated backstories; as you do. So what if we had a dedicated way to go into those backstories in a way that helped us better control how we go into them, so that we can create more compelling narratives.
The plan: dedicated character quests. Basically, we put quests in for the quest board when we're ready to drop the beans of our characters, and make an OOC note saying 'hey, everyone ready to hop on the *insert character name here* train?' From there, either our character or some other characters go 'hey let's do this seemingly innocuous quest that probably won't be emotionally loaded in any way'.

So I ran by the maps and did a guesstimate by referencing the Grand Map 500 miles marker to that of Khorvaire's. Measured ~500 miles between Sharn and Zilargo. Thus, from Sharn to King's Forest would be around 100 miles, correct? Since it's a big forest, movements would be further hindered off-road. In addition to Phos and Stynger's physical conditioning to walk, say 20-25 miles per day (at best), it would take 4-5 days to reach King's Forest from Sharn. This is all estimates and speculations, so please lemme know if that is correct?

I'd say that's a 25 mile walk to the edge of King's Forest, and 100 or so to the centre--after having checked myself using the reference line off the Khorvaire map. From there I just suppose it's a matter of how far in the bandits are.

Ultimately, I'mma hold off my post for now until Lith gives the affirm. Also, I gotta ask about the methods of transportations and the lightning rail thingy majiggy. If we can utilize those, it would effectively cut down travel time and provides a point for infil and exfil.

Also, let's hope for some kind of fast travel. Phos is best enjoyed in moderation, and a fucking week long road trip is not that. I'd feel so bad for Stynger.

Don't be, she doesn't talk much. So it's gonna be something of a field trip with a bodypillow. Except hugging will also let you know why she's called "Stynger".
