Artillery isn’t really associated with ships the same terms like cannonier, gunners, weapons directors, and fire control are.

May I ask what’s the full breath of her job?

I'm planning to have Roysia maintain/kind of be at the head of all things weaponry onboard. Would also be able to operate the weaponry onboard/pass on some knowledge on them and maybe direct whoever's using them (if that isn't stretching it too much Mythy lmao). Just making sure the weaponry are in good condition, she can use them, gives guidance to whoever can use 'em.

It’s because the word Officer is very military and considering less than 1% of the US serves, military doesn’t appeal to many.

Neuro Vampire I think for the most part, the crew are going to be more paramilitary than conventional armed forces. Terms and titles aren't as important, most of them are to the point.. Helmsman, Gunnery Chief ya-da ya-da...
