I think I found where the issue was and fixed it. I'm not sure what you mean be level, but I was thinking either only one type, or maybe allow for a small smattering of a second. In the case of the latter, though, does that render the Red Mage obsolete?

Also the character directory is so neat, it gives me life. I'll see what I can rustle up over the weekend here, I might be on and off because of a few of my assignments having to be in by Monday. I don't have to finish them, just tidy them up and get formatting right for submitting just thankfully.

Yeah I meant the different types. I was wanting to have a character who was a black mage but could also have a few summons. Or maybe a blue mage with some summons.

Also, what roles do you have available for the ship? I plan on making my character a dancer so they won't exactly have skills for running a ship. Maybe they could take on a navigator role and be knowledgeable about the stars/constellations?

I don't feel that would work, personally. I think majority we stick with one type of magic.

You could also just be a deckhand, or whatever a shipboard person that did whatever was called. Navigation is good too - you don't necessarily need a role on the ship, as when Lorin starts out with his own ship he'll need as much crew as possible

It actually feels okay! I think because I have very few class contact hours anyway and then I shut myself away to do assignments until they're finished lmao only weird thing about it is not being in the library at times to grab things for them haha
