Meh Fate lore is pretty strict if your a modern day Magus. Now you start talking about Divine spirits or certain Demi-humans then anything is fine cause screw your worlds logic, reality warping! Your rules don't apply here!

While true, if he's truly a normie he'd die in the first fight. Only possible way for it to work is if he has some kind of magic circuits, even if they're shitty. Or if he has some other source of magic. If he had no magic at all berserker would basically kill him the moment they materialized. That goes beyond hardship to overcome rofl

Not if Berserker stays in spirit form and all they do is run away instead of fighting.

CS doesn't say he doesn't have magic circuits. It just says he prefers to use his fists in a fight, which could mean that he's simply unaware them and lived as a normie. I figured summoning a Servant at all requires some degree magic...since, well, it's the summoning of a heroic spirit. Though, if all else fails, just blame the Caretakers. Anything odd in the rp? Anything that breaks the lore? It's probably the Caretakers.

Be calm, little dragon. Your time will come.

It depends on the summoning tbh. Like, if someone else footed the mana cost someone without mana could summon a servant. But it'd take some huge contrivance for some normie kid to bumble into that kind of situation. Even among accidental summons the actual master still is the one triggering it in some way. Like, even with my post, it aint as if the magus is summoning rider. Vita's the one summoning, the magus just set up a ritual close enough to let the Grail's overly loose interpretation of summoning work. To go beyond that, to have someone who can't even do the summoning get a servant accidentally would require a super contrived situation lmao.

But yeah, nowhere does it say he doesn't have magic. That's why the easiest solution is to just do what I did with Vita, sure they have circuits but they don't know anything about magic and thus can't use it. And in Vita's case they're supbar.

Just thought I’d ask, not sure if this question has been asked yet, but does the Masters of Darkness know that their Caretaker wants to reset the world?

Most don't (at the current moment). Some do (assuming they've met up with the Caretaker of Darkness at some point and spoke with him in depth about the war/made a deal with him of some sort to fight in the war). It's up to you really (and the type of character you want to play). Given that a Servant is generally given info about a war upon their summoning, they probably know that the conditions of winning are to take out all members of the opposite faction at least. The rest...will be revealed to your character as the rp progresses. Though, there's no harm in your character knowing ahead of time. You just need to write in a reason as to why your character knows.

Just to make sure, it’s fine to make an elderly Master right? Just making sure

Another clarification. If you’re a Master of Darkness, do you have to be evil? Like, how do you qualify for one side or the other? Sorry if this was already explained.

No you don't. Many of the npcs aren't. There's no real qualification (any more than the light side). He would tend towards people that have suffered greatly because of the world as it is now, or that desire change, or have a strong wish/desire to win...but I'm not going to stop people from making the characters they want. Could just be random mood. A character that interests him. A mage he thinks could win him the war. I don't even know why some the current Masters have been chosen so it could even be just random luck.

Basically team Darkness wants to reset the world, while team Light wants to keep the world as it is.

Neither side is inherently good or evil. Team dark might have a holy man who believes the world is to dyed in sin to save and so wants to reset it, while team Light might have a mass murder who wants to keep things as they are so he can keep killing.

Some just don't care one way or another. Participation in a grail war itself, any grail war, is a chance to have one's wish granted. People who participate in grail wars are either a)desperate for something, b)have something to prove, c) just curious, d)got in accidentally and don't know how to get out. I've added e)want to reset the world and f) want to keep the world as it is into the mix, but it doesn't remove the previous options.

Clux just wants to bring her brother back to life for example. And, maybe, in the new "reset" world, Clux's brother would be alive^^

So I'll likely try to work out his magic and elemental affiliation either before or after working on his background.

Likely tomorrow/later today cause I've been up since like 1 AM.

Poor dragon, forsaken by her master. But you know what? A master can hold multiple contracts. You need only forsake that vile Bandit and swear fealty to the fire maiden. Then we shall bring you forth into the light.
lol. It's more that school is starting in 6 hours, and im cramming as much anime into the 6 hours as humanly possible. I'mm literally watching 2 anime at once xD
